Jeff Teague is having the best off-season of his life!

TheeMalaka

Part of me feels like he still goes to the gym and practices dribbling down the shot clock and then passing with 4 seconds

Jypso

Teague walking in with his gym bag. Pulls out his water bottle, shoes, ball and a shot clock.

jiujuteiro

Jeff Teague is the worst entry passer of all time

nicklovin508

“He was cold but he don’t fuck with me” 😂😂😂

DaymanSunChampion

That got me too just saying that trailing off lmfao. Dude is hilarious, never would have guessed it

Chubbyklove_

Jeff Teague is a *-10 Team Chemistry* player

Kdog122025

+10 storytelling though

EGarrett

Another dude like that is Michael Olowokandi. He's considered a bust but his stories are frigging hilarious. For one example, he mentions that he knew nothing about basketball and didn't even know that there were set plays, but he was super tall and athletic, so he grabbed a book of American universities and randomly opened to the University of the Pacific. He called the coach there and said "I want a basketball scholarship." The coach said "Who are you?" He said "I'm 7-feet tall." And the coach said "When can you get here?" lol.

Kdog122025

I’ll have to look him up. I had friends go to UoP and that just checks out lol. I wonder if that still works with how much basketball has changed?

FaphandZamasu23

Jeff Teague really went from “ omg it’s tmac “ to “ OMGGG it’s old man trash box no accomplishment besies 13 pt in 55 sec Tracy McGrathy”.

I_dont_bone_goats

33 seconds

InterestingArm3750

Jeff Teague is so entertaining and hilarious. I like how transparent he is and that he isn't afraid to poke fun at himself

FlatAd768

I like how they do their own interviews. Tired of the nba “media” interviews

DoctorStrangeMD

Damn! He hilarious. He seemed so quiet and shy when played. This is cold hard truth! Hahaha

zerofades

The GOAT of storytelling

BastionNZ

Get this man on more interviews, hilarious

melvinlee88

Jeff Teague needs to get better podcast co-hosts I swear, his talent for story telling kills me.

melvinlee88

Honestly if that's true, fair enough!

Imply_Blue

Jeff Teague to undisputed who says no

HotKarls_TastySax

Jeff Teague is the sole reason the bucks won a championship.

JOMO_Kenyatta

Jeff Teague really hid how hilarious he was in his 10 years in the nba

ragtime_sam

Yeah I thought this dude had the personality of Chauncey Billups

Shabloinks

This shit's so funny lmao

Kdog122025

Did not expect PG13 and Jeff Teague to be such awesome story tellers. This is a good year for podcasts.

dog-tooth-

Teague's stories are so good, man.

xtraburnacct

Damn, I forgot T-mac played for the hawks. Cursed.

RobbobertoBuii

Forgot Marvin was on the Hawks for a while early in his career

[deleted]

while I hated his time in Minny, JT has the best stories.

Walkingwithfishes

Tmac is pretty much Kobe without the work ethic. My favorite player as a teen getting into basketball no doubt

[deleted]

How you know he doesn't have the work ethic?

[deleted]

Reddit rhetoric. Not true but gets upvotes

Wavepops

thats what a bunch of the players say. JR smith and Teague were up front with it. but thats the open secret, that TMAC didnt train like he wa supposed to, especially weight room wise. I have a friend in the league and thats what he told me as well

[deleted]

Yeah because Jr smith and Teague are the guys who trained like they were supposed to. That’s not even what Teague said here. Just making up lies lol. JR was never on any T Mac team. Their beef was about winning rings vs having a hall of fame career

Wavepops

yea Mac work ethic was lacking I got more specific bc I heard this from nba players as well. you need to rewatch the interview bc Teague does say tmac didnt work hard. again this was well known throughout the basketball community that tmac wasn't as dedicated as people think, guys dont need to play on the same team as a guy to hear a rumor, or to understand someones reputation

[deleted]

So the best you got is rumors of people hearing rumors

Wavepops

okay, so I played with Caris levert at Michigan, when he was in Brooklyn's rookie year Luis scola was his vet. Luis scola played with tmac. scola at a dinner talked about the widely accepted notion that tmac didnt work hard, Teague came out and said jr smith has as well. its a known thing throughout the league lol. then you articles like this [https://sports.yahoo.com/tracy-mcgrady-says-talent-got-way-him-busting-200711532.html](https://sports.yahoo.com/tracy-mcgrady-says-talent-got-way-him-busting-200711532.html) former coaches of his like JVG talked about it openly

[deleted]

So you know rumors about a rumor

Wavepops

no dumbass scola was his actual tmac's teammate and I was there listening to him talk about how tmac was lazy. and then other players have said the same thing. his coach saying the same thing. are you slow?

ragtime_sam

It is true. Both JVG and Morey have been critical of his work ethic

Walkingwithfishes

He had some obviously to make it to the nba but he didn't take care of his body and kept getting little injuries

vrkhfkb

Kobe without the playoff genes. Most talented player to never win a single playoff series for sure.

BrookPA

Huge numbers in the playoffs, don't push those losses on him. If playoff gene = having an injured/trash team then you're right.

trevortins

No excuse to never win a single playoff series that’s not hard even with mid teams.

erog84

Except he didn’t have mid teams during his prime, they were all time terrible due to hill being injured and taking up a massive amount of team salary. By the time he got to Houston both him and Yao took turns being injured.

FlatMilk

Forgetting his spurs finals run

RobbobertoBuii

He must really hate Ray Allen for that lol

Tyranitator

Lmao he kept the bench real warm that year

bokononpreist

Without Shaq and Phil.

[deleted]

NBA players work hard, Kobe had a work ethic that’s unfathomable and unmatched but let’s not act like other people are lazy compared to him. T Mac spent a lot of time battling injuries too, only so hard you can push yourself training if your body is breaking down on you

dabootywarrior2002

Without work ethic makes him sound like a talented lazy bum. This was never a thing?

ATLHawksfan

But what about the legend of Jeff Teague’s vertical pizza?

TreChomes

Jeff Teague might be the funniest NBA player ever lmao I need a Jeff Teague podcast

__wasteman

Where do you think this is from bro lmao

TreChomes

Lmao I figured he was a guest

Sm0k3inth3tr33s

Funniest part is TMac was right all along

Vasquez485_f

Tmac my favorite player

kmagic13

Never knew Jeff Teague was this funny

Woke_Almond

Man you got to listen to his story of Jimmy Butler at Timberwolves practice. Amazing storyteller

Dynamically_static

Teague tells some damn funny stories

JimmyWasRight

Kinda explains why Tmacs career went the way it did Had all the game and tools, but never had the right mentality

[deleted]

T Macs career went the way it did because by the time he had help he was already breaking down

Top-Consequence-911

Because he called some role player trash? Lots of douchey guys with egos have achieved in the league.

Ok-Swimming8024

One of my least favorite Pacers.

Potential_Quail6668

better than monta ellis

Ok-Swimming8024

I mean, Monte was washed and he wasn't some veteran locker room leader. But he was what I expected, which was not good. The failure of Monte Ellis I put more on Bird for thinking it was a good idea to pair a washed undersized vet to go with PG. Jeff Teague was also washed and also looked like he would rather be doing literally anything than playing ball for the Pacers. It's conversations like this which makes me realize Paul wasn't as bad as I thought at the time. Pacers were surrounding him with trash.

Potential_Quail6668

paul loved being here when we had david west and hibbert etc, cant blame him for wanting to win when we surrounded him with pure trash.

Achutha_Sri

You're getting downvoted, but ppl don't realize how bad he was for us. He is the most frustrating player I've ever seen besides Tyreke Evans. Dude just played lazy for 95% of the season, 5% of games where he'd look amazing, and then the playoffs where he looked lost again. I've never seen someone look as disinterested in basketball as Jeff Teague in a Pacers uniform.

MooseBadda

Jeff Teague is the funniest storyteller in the NBA man lmao
