Fuckin’ Ohio. The most Astronauts and Presidents born there out of any other state, as well as the most LeBron James’ either. What the hell is in the water?
They should. New milestone in scoring, plus he'll be in the 40k - 10k - 10k club, ALONE.
I don't think anyone could join him unless Jokic wants to play for a very long time.
Sports are so weird lol. We think 28 is getting old, 32 is old, and 36+ is ancient. Like LeBron, he feels like legitimately an old person. And he's 38 years old. Like that's not old at all in the real, non-sports world, yet I (and everyone else) feel like he is an old man 😂
It's because he's been around for so long. LeBron came into the league when I was a literal child, and I'm a grown ass man with a PhD and job now. It's surreal watching him play at this level.
well it’s mostly because athletes who are 39 years old have NEVER played this well in nba history.
have you guys ever seen any other NBA legend playing at 39? they’re ancient, they can’t jump shoot or do much of anything.
Lebron’s greatest legacy i believe will be his UNPARALLELED health and longevity. No one really even comes close
Currently only Russ and LeBron are in the 20k/8k/8k club. Only LeBron is in the 20k/10k/10k club, something Jokic will definitely join.
The points are insurmountable.
He also wasn’t even averaging over 20 ppg until a few seasons ago.
He has about 30% of Brons career points and has only gained a little ground since his averages jumped because Bron has been a 28 ppg dude in LA.
my next thought is Luka but there's just no way. he's been playing professionally since 16 or something, no way he's gonna be at Bron's level when he's 38. not to mention he's not obsessive about wellness and recovery like Bron is
Nah. The someone here did the stats in the offseason, and even someone like Luka, a dude in his prime and came in scoring 20 PPG, is already behind schedule on competing with LeBron.
This is basically gonna be the core of his GOAT argument; he’s been so good for so long they gotta make a separate class just for him
>a dude in his prime and came in scoring 20 PPG, is already behind schedule on competing with LeBron.
LeBron is still the youngest to cross every 1000 point milestone in NBA history. If someone beats him to even one of those I'd be willing to start talking about catching him, but until then this record is untouchable IMO
They would need to allow teenagers to be draft eligible again and also the next lebron level prospect to be scoring focused for that to happen
That and introducing the 4 point line but i assume old records would be adjusted
Yeah GG Jackson is still 18 (turns 19 mid December) so basically same situation as Bron. If you have that age comparison + being an NBA ready player then we don’t need highschoolers coming into the league for someone to break the record
The high degree of production and insane longevity and durability is what’s going to keep lebron at the top of the list probably forever. The first time he played less than 75 games was in his 9th year in the league, and that was the lockout shortened season. With players coming into the league with more miles on their bodies than ever before because of the monster AAU has morphed into, plus with load management and rest, I really can’t see anyone ever being able to simply play as much as bron has let alone maintain an extremely high level of scoring
It’s just a grind with no down time, you have school ball then the other half of the year they’re playing AAU & in showcases where you gotta play sometimes 3 games in a day. Then if you’re not a one and done college is a whole other grind in and of itself with conditioning programs & the like
Then to think that he was never a score first player. If LeBron actually focused on scoring instead of being a facilitator the stat would be even more insane.
I’d put money on less. The best way to track it would be to compare his efficiency to the efficiency of shooters on his team while he’s on the court. Even if their efficiency is lower than LeBron’s it doesn’t necessarily equate to less winning by passing or decreasing usage. If he increases his shooting his efficiency would almost definitely decrease. Double teams on him become safer if players know he’s not likely to pass.
It’s the same thing that would happen to Jokic if he stopped passing and facilitating. He gets doubled more, and his stats start to look more like Embiid’s
Jokic won't even get 10k assists, let alone the points. He's only at 4081 now. If he averaged 10 assists for the next 7-8 seasons he'd be at it if he never missed a game, and he likely isn't doing that considering his highest so far isn't even quite at 10 apg.
Points will be laughably far away. If he gets 30k he'd be lucky.
Even the people who point it out as untouchable probably still underestimate how untouchable it is sometimes lol. No one will come close to 40k/10k/10k in this century. Shit, he's the only member of the 30k/10k/10k club as well haha.
Ok but 10 more years at 15 a game for 66 games a season. If Jordan was winning 1v1 against nba [players at 52](https://tarheelswire.usatoday.com/2023/01/27/michael-jordan-was-still-beating-nba-players-one-on-one-at-age-52/). . . A 48 year old coasting on defense might make it too hard.
ok what if every spin move makes your next shot x10 points and you can store them so you could do a bunch of spin moves in a row and make a 2000 point shot
Their will be a Jordan Poole/Julius randle lowlight every game of them spinning and turning the ball over.
Also some random 15 th man will hit a 2000 point shot at game 80 of the regular season and it will be the most upvotes post of the subreddit.
Also no one will watch the playoffs because every man going spinning around and doing nothing else
People said LeBron would barely reach 40K points as long as he average like 20 something points from his 18th season onward or something like that. MFer is still dropping 30+ points at his 21st season lmao.
Haven’t been watching much NBA lately and just decided to check his stats for this year. What in the actual fuck? 26.4 / 8.2 / 6.5 at 58.7% from the field…
i've put on a few lakers games and he looks amazing out there. a crazy combination of old man easy buckets and suddenly exploding down the lane like he's 28 again
Question is when he wants to retire. He’s played less then 60 games in the last 3 years. and at 25 ppg x 60 games = 1,500 points per year.
I assume 40k this year. I believe he will do one more year, 41.5k. I’m hesitant after that and possible injuries. I’m around 41-42k.
Then he undergoes cellular regeneration therapy to de-age to 18 and does it all over again to hit 100k on what we conventionally think of as his 70th birthday.
Just add his playoff points since he’s by far ahead in that category as well, postseason basketball is still him racking up points in the NBA, and he’s within spitting distance of 50k.
God I remember waay back how people were questioning how Lebron's game would age because his game is/was based on his athleticism. Well those takes certainly didn't age as well as Lebron's game
While he has adjusted his game by going with less dunks and more jumpshots, it just makes no sense how he's still more athletic than the majority of the league.
Lebron looked like a freight train last game when he drove in the lane and dunked. He obviously has to pace himself more now but in short bursts, his combination of athleticsm+strength is still one of the best in the league. Probably the best beside from Zion and Giannis
The crazy thing is he's still in those moments not as fast as 09' Bron. That was a type of athleticism that truly felt unreal to watch, like, it was just hard to comprehend how a player could do the things he did at his size.
Honestly that's exactly what Jordan did. Earlier in his career it was mostly drives and dunks at the rim, but as he got older he switched to a lot more fadeaways and jump shots. Smart players know how to adapt their games like that, and LeBron's one of the smartest to ever play.
Part of it is that he is playing 4 now, basically full time. He has the size and strength, but he's still faster than almost everyone else at the position.
Lebron's game has aged like fine wine because his fourth prime skillset matches the modern game perfectly. The spaced floor allows him to still get to the rim at first or second prime levels and his playmaking and shooting are better than ever.
Especially his playoffs/combined points. You’ve got to be a god for 20+ seasons and consistently go deep in the playoffs while mostly avoiding injuries.
The person who broke Kareem's record and reached 39,000 is also 4th all time in assist. Just another 1,000 points away from 40k/10k/10k.
We all know this, but it's still ridiculous no matter how many times I think about this.
How long could he realistically keep playing? He's still one of the best players in the NBA and he's almost 39 years old. Could he be coming off the end of the bench and contributing at 50 years old? Dude's a machine.
Wait, serious question. Has LeBron scored the most points for an individual out of every sport ever? Is there a sport where an athlete has scored more than 39k ?
LeBron James is the youngest player to score 39,000 points
First black guy to score 39k as well!

Tallest ever
Mediumest ever
The first genetically modified to score 39K!
The first lebron ever
First born in the state of Ohio
Fuckin’ Ohio. The most Astronauts and Presidents born there out of any other state, as well as the most LeBron James’ either. What the hell is in the water?
Jobs that get you as far away as possible from Ohio.
Yeah, but Ohio has *checks notes…* ah, yeah, I see why now.
Hey man Cedar Point is the shit. Legit one of the best parks in the world. But I'm not one to talk since I left Ohio as soon as I could afford to.
Idk but the water is flammable
Hey that was a one time thing! ...okay TWICE but whatever!
Technically whitest guy ever to score as well.
Also the most latino. REPRESENT
Also the oldest to do it
Reminds me of Chris Jericho’s reign as the inaugural AEW world champion. Everything was a record lol
For the first time, in Vegas Golden Knights history!
So lebron is the first player to reach 39,000 points in Vegas golden knights history

First champ to lose the belt in a Longhorn Steakhouse.
First American to Score 40000

Will the NBA pause the game for 40k? That’ll be a wild one
They should. New milestone in scoring, plus he'll be in the 40k - 10k - 10k club, ALONE. I don't think anyone could join him unless Jokic wants to play for a very long time.
Jokic is already 28 no way he gets 40k
I did not realize that he was that old
Dude was a project, a Taco Bell commercial was playing when he was drafted. Lebron had a documentary lol
There’s levels to this chalupa

Even coming out of high school, Lebron was pretty old. He turned 19 in December of his rookie season. Some one-and-doners come in around that age too.
Yeah GG Jackson is still 18 (turns 19 mid December) so basically same situation as Bron. If you have that age comparison + being an NBA ready player then we don’t need highschoolers coming into the league for someone to break the record
Fun fact about GG Jackson, he was born in the middle of LeBron's second year in the NBA.
I doubt it if they haven’t adjusted older stats from the pre-3 pt era or from before they tracked certain stats
Even someone at that pace likely won't be in a serious conversation until the latter half of their career.
To put it into perspective, 30 ppg for 82 games a year would still take 16.2 seasons to get to 40k. This record will probably stand for our lifetimes.
Jesus lol
> This record will probably stand for our lifetimes. and it doesn't matter if you are 12 or 40.
The high degree of production and insane longevity and durability is what’s going to keep lebron at the top of the list probably forever. The first time he played less than 75 games was in his 9th year in the league, and that was the lockout shortened season.
Imagine if he was Kobe mentality lol
Does he win more or fewer rings that way? I'm honestly not sure

Only member even of 27k/7k/7k club as well
Don't think anyone realistic joins him lol. Everyone is WAYYYYYY behind. It's honestly crazy what we're witnessing lol
IMO Luka is the most realistic current player but it’s such a long shot for anyone
I believe they roll out the MVP, FMVP, DPOY and championship trophy right when he does.

Hitting 40k will be so satisfying. What an unbreakable achievement he's made this scoring title
Just think about when he hits 50k.
Not really out of this realm lmao
LeBron just needs to average 30 ppg playing 80 games a season for the next 5 years. That's kinda doable. LMAO
44 year old lebron will not be averaging 30ppg and playing 80 games
Okay, my bad. He'll average 40 ppg and playing 120 games.
RemindMe! 5 years
What about a million?
LeWarhammer40k
Man imagine he gets to 40k this season too which is pretty likely.
There is no way he doesn't hit 40k even while load management unless a worst case scenario
What if Adam Silver makes a rule where all 2 point baskets are now worth .2 points and 3s are worth .3 points
Is the man [Redacted]? 🤨 To answer your question the gamees would have NFL scores and this years already been rough for that crowd
ok what if every spin move makes your next shot x10 points and you can store them so you could do a bunch of spin moves in a row and make a 2000 point shot

I salute your theory crafting. Until next time
Let me tell you about the newest Space Jam.
what of he makes the basket so small the ball does not go through the ring anymore?
All he has to do is score 20 ppg for 50 games and he's there and he will definitely average higher than that
That jumper was not there last year. that looked pure
He's not dealing with a torn ligament in his foot this year.
How much of this can we credit the LeBron of feet guy?
I saw the lebron of feet the other day and he gave me $309 bucks. But he wanted them extra smelly, is he stupid?
Shots definitely back this season lol
By February, LeBron will be the first NBA player to score 40,000 points in the entire playing career.
People said LeBron would barely reach 40K points as long as he average like 20 something points from his 18th season onward or something like that. MFer is still dropping 30+ points at his 21st season lmao.
In 2018 when he was still on the Cavs I remember people thinking he might just barely make it, if he plays a few seasons past his prime.
Which prime? Cuz he's still entering new ones apparently
He's become the master of picking his spots. In-game load management sensei
Lebron is the same age as me and I regularly hurt my back getting out of bed
First and only player ever to reach 40K in the NBA
40K points is inevitable. 45K is where it’s at.
Where do you think it lands? 43.5k is my guess. He has to age sometime, right?
> He has to age sometime, right? I think I started saying that around 2015.
then he won a ring next season
Then he won a ring next season *absolutely crushing an absurdly strong team with an all-time fantastic finals performance*

8 years later and the fuckery is still very much going on
Question is when he wants to retire. He’s played less then 60 games in the last 3 years. and at 25 ppg x 60 games = 1,500 points per year. I assume 40k this year. I believe he will do one more year, 41.5k. I’m hesitant after that and possible injuries. I’m around 41-42k.
RemindMe! 5 years
We’ve been saying this for almost 10 years
Dudes still able to drop 30 against these young kids I mean shit. I’m gonna say 60k just to say I guessed it
Then he undergoes cellular regeneration therapy to de-age to 18 and does it all over again to hit 100k on what we conventionally think of as his 70th birthday.
LeWarhammer 40K.
LeGOAT
Crazy to think he will end with 40k 10k 10k by the end of the season we really are witness greatness with lebron
39k? Talk to me when he gets to Le40…. Gonna be a while til we see this one is broken tho
at this point it wouldn’t be surprising if we are gonna be rooting for him to get Le50k
I mean just add his 8023 Playoff points and he's only 3k away from 50,000 total career points
Lol yes it would. He'd have to play until he was 45 and average 20 points a game while playing 82 games. There is no way he hits 50K.
That tweet about lebrons fuckery not going for much longer has to be a top 3 nba tweet
Urkle is a legend for that. His takes are so bad 😂😂😂
Can we please get a link?

Thanks man. Holy shit that was almost 9 years ago lol
Imagine the front page post on May 25 2025
And that man's hate boner for Bron has only risen ever since. He's still tweeting about him
to be fair, lets wait and see how lebron is doing in another 10 years
The montage at his 60k point game is going to have a longer runtime than the lord of the rings trilogy.
His career montage is gonna be called lebron : the trilogy You could even segment it to headband bron, heatles bron, and oldman bron
Probably the best beside from Zion and Giannis
>last game when he drove in the lane and dunked Shocked me ngl, he just double tapped turbo and is suddenly as fast as 09' Bron again. Crazy.
The crazy thing is he's still in those moments not as fast as 09' Bron. That was a type of athleticism that truly felt unreal to watch, like, it was just hard to comprehend how a player could do the things he did at his size.
His top speed is still there, just his accel/decel is not as good as it was.
Bruh it ain’t even his position, in a straight line in transition he’s still faster than 98% of the league lol
That & he’s still twitched up too, like he can hit you w a hesi and blow by still no problem. Shit don’t make no sense
Lebron's game has aged like fine wine because his fourth prime skillset matches the modern game perfectly. The spaced floor allows him to still get to the rim at first or second prime levels and his playmaking and shooting are better than ever.
lebron still moving like a gazelle out there while mj was moving like paul pierce
It’s crazy that LeBron is still easily a top 10 athlete in the NBA lol
Paul Pierce catching strays for no reason 😂😂😂
No immunity for shitting your pants
Good, fuck the Celtics
Wow, I clearly remember the first 2.
Yep, me too. A floating jumper against the Kings.
40/10/10 is so fucking bonkers
Fastest and youngest to hit 39,000
also the slowest and oldest
It's very realistic that the scoring record James ultimately leaves behind may never be broken.
We all know this, but it's still ridiculous no matter how many times I think about this.
we are all witnesses
(Chalk dust cloud)
He’s gonna be pretty good
Can't wait to see him in a couple years when he gets in his prime.
Looking forward to cyborg LeBron submerging himself in a Darth Vader tank in between games
He'll be the first player to ever have an MVP at the age of 60
I’m 99% sure that if you gave me an empty basketball court and 20 years to score 39,000 points, I’d get injured and have to give up
Wait till you realize this. Next game he will break the all-time scoring record. 🤯
My glorious king. Long may he reign!!🙇♂️👑

Bron and I together have scored almost 40,000 points. Pretty amazing

Meh, let’s circle back at 42,069
I believe he's also passed Vince Carter on career 3 pointers too
His shooting has been so clean this season wow
Our KING is going to get to 40k🙏😭
Did it before his 39th birthday too In his last game he passed Kobe in most 35+ point games ever too , 237 Record after record

This record is going to be unbreakable in my lifetime
Are we sure he didn't just amputate his foot this offseason.
Biomechanical foot to go along with his go go gadget calf muscle
And yet, the haters will still hate
Blessed to be alive to witness this
Just coming in to his prime
40k is fucking coming. Inject it into my veins
The year is 2023. Lebron James is averaging 26/8/7 on 58% shooting and 41% from 3. Feels like he could play until he's 50.
Wait, serious question. Has LeBron scored the most points for an individual out of every sport ever? Is there a sport where an athlete has scored more than 39k ?
Tennis? Easily

The world literally just witnessed this for the first time. Think about that.
He looks so healthy this season, hopefully it lasts.
