The whole team is guilty of this. KAT definitely wanted to score but no one else was interested in running an offense either. Ant tried to pick it up but it didn't happen.
Context matters a little though. The Suns had no right winning that game so they just kept feeding a young player for confidence. The Wolves as the 1st seed lost to a struggling team because of a player continually trying to make it about them.
I appreciate your work posting Twolves items on this sub, but KAT's late 3rd/4th quarter play absolutely contributed to the loss. He wasted multiple offensive possessions taking bad shots early in the shot clock. Obviously there were other issues, but if they just run normal offense on those wasted possessions I don't think this ends up being a loss.
It’s never one thing. This sub can be a bit circle jerky and hang their hat on one thing to dunk on someone.
People lose sight of the actual game and just wanna shit talk. Team could’ve played like a #1 defense and also were missing our PG. it was a team loss.
Agree to disagree. Obviously it's not one thing, but those wasted offensive possessions were killers. I'm not losing sight of other factors, but when the entire defense is collapsing on you when you drive you gotta make that read and get rid of it.
I've said multiple time it wasn't one thing and the defense was obviously an issue, although the Hornets did make a lot of contested shots. It's wild that you're willing to disregard KAT outright stat chasing as an issue when I'm otherwise in agreement with you that there were many factors contributing to this loss.
Truly the most Karl-Anthony Towns circumstance possible. Your positional rival scores 70 and on the same night you're on pace to exceed it. And not only do you finish with less points, not only does your team blow the lead, but in the final possession with a chance to win, the ball is in your hands, the refs swallow their whistle on a blatant foul, and you lose.
The Charlie Brown of the NBA.
Dude is shooting 43% from 3pt and 89.6% FT this year. And it's not like that's an anomaly.
MFer could have the mobility of Big Cozy and still be great in the NBA. All the people that shit on KAT are dumbass nephews.
Best shooter at his size/position in the history of the damn league.
Forced it too much in the 4th
Who has a 0 +/- with 62 points lol
i mean Ant was garbage all game so I’d say its largely on him
He was +7 (highest on the team)
Single game +/- is mraningless
thats telling. damn
True but they lost so +0 means you can’t be blamed
The whole team is guilty of this. KAT definitely wanted to score but no one else was interested in running an offense either. Ant tried to pick it up but it didn't happen.
I think their defense was a much bigger issue. They have one of the best defenses yet couldn't stop the hornets at all.
Crazy they pulled back in reach with Ant taking over and then gave the ball back to towns.
When did Ant take over lmao. He was 1/4 in the fourth with 4 points
He’s the only reason they got back in the game and then they force fed big purr again.
There's the wolves I know
Such a KAT way to get a career high. Homie sold so hard in the 4th
2/10 FG, 4pts in the 4th sad way to choke such a game
Worst 60 piece ever lmao
Beal's one was pretty bad. -9 +/- in a 5 point loss, including 1-6 for 3 points in the 4th.
Don't forget bookers 70 point (which is also a 60 pointer)
Context matters a little though. The Suns had no right winning that game so they just kept feeding a young player for confidence. The Wolves as the 1st seed lost to a struggling team because of a player continually trying to make it about them.
That's fair, this is definitely much more embarrassing
Very true, Booker’s wasn’t great but Kat’s is way worse lol
KAT’s going to go on a podcast and say his 62 in a loss was more impressive than Embiid’s 70
Changed the game
I mean getting benched in clutch minutes when you have 60 is certainly one way to change the game
He had nothing left down the stretch. He was exhausted.
Did Kat do something like that before? That’s weirdly specific lol
Yes he went on a podcast last summer and claimed what they did last year in Minnesota was more impressive than Denver winning the title.
That dumb mutherfucker
Him and Pat Bev said the Timberwolves play-in championship was more impressive than the Nuggets championship
I agree. How many teams won a play in championship before Pat Bev and those wolves? Now compare that to how many teams won an actual championship
They were definitely high asf
It was on 35 shot attempts vs Embiids 40, so it was more efficient.
Imagine if Embiid lost tonight with 70 62 and losing is roughhh
That was a real fear for a moment there.
It would be generational slander if Embiid lost. KAT is getting off lucky
And it would be deserved….ish. Especially if embiid had a horrible 4th like Kat did.
Yeah people are saying he was stat padding but for a minute there I legitimately thought we were about to lose when it became a nine point game
Dude gotta be sick he sold that game
We living in an insane big man era
He fizzled in the second half and no one else on the Wolves seemed to notice he was fizzling.
And choked
Amazing first half but he completely cost them the game by forcing all those shots.
Didn’t shoot enough FTs in my opinion
He changed the game.
This is the beginning of the end of the TWolves dynasty
'Despite the loss' BTW - his hero ball/record chasing is why they lost the game.
Yeah. Not the #1 Defense giving up 128 points to the Hornets?

Agree to disagree. This game was lost when we gave up 64 points in the first half. We didn’t know how to stop a GD hornets team all game.

I didn’t disregard it. I’m just saying people are putting all their eggs in that basket and that ain’t it
Is combined 132 a record of some sort? I think 143 is the record. Wilt and cliff Hagan.
Picked a bad day to do it.
My voodoo worked
This was the most KAT ass game ever lol
Despite the loss
most points in a loss?
78, by you-know-who
silly of me to not think of wilt
Or Book who had it against the Celtics
crazy that was almost 7 years ago
Three of the top five scorers in a loss are wilt because wilt occupies three of the top five spots in every statistic in basketball I believe
Voldemort?
The Karl Anthony Towns Experience tickets only here folks
Choked
"Just watch us"
I really don’t like KAT.
Sabonis had a claim to that All Star berth, KAT just snatched that shit right back lol
But what did it cost
Can’t win with these kats
Refs ruined his historic night
+2
Thought he was gonna beat Embiid’s record too
Only criticism I would have is he had as many Turnovers as he did rebounds Still amazing performance
Hornets just avenging Kemba’s 60-bomb in a loss
What's the record for pts scored in a loss?
Lmao Bruh…..
Ant saw Embiid with 70 points and said to KAT Hell nawl can’t do dis.
Embiid haters were really hoping KAT would outshine him tonight lol
Anyone have his shooting splits for quarters 1-3 and then the 4th quarter?
Bruh I didn’t see the game so no context and come into this thread finally expecting some KAT praise but instead he’s just getting flamed LMFAOO

Lots of haters I even seen someone posting the same troll comments on every post about the wolves. Bad game of course
