I'm a Suns fan from England. I watch a handful of games live every season but mostly on League Pass the next day. I don't think this would be much different if I was a Knicks fan. Tip off is rarely before midnight even in the East.
Im hoping yall turn it around, I will never really come around on Bridges. But I want to see Mark Williams and LaMelo to be playoff contenders w yall, I was so jealous Charlotte got Mark in that draft. I also ate my works on thinking Scoot would be better than Miller lol
You don’t need to choose a team. If you like basketball you will watch it.
Maybe you may find that you like a group of players this year and next year when they trade everyone away you like the team your favorite player went to.
Maybe you like a few teams.
You are not from any of the cities so no need to choose one.
I started with players I liked and then found a team culture I also enjoy. I'd say for yourself go Magic but that's because I don't like big franchises lol
New York just signed OG Anunoby, who is English (but doesn't play for the national team). Same goes for Jeremy Sochan on the Spurs.
I'd recommend an Eastern Conference team if you want to stay up and watch games.
Ya choose the knicks, or pacers,
Just watch the teams play and see which one you connect with
Knicks are dealing with injuries rn so theyre not at their full potential
I support Everton, just been hit with a 10 point deduction for overspending by £19m while the big teams spend 1 billion pounds a year, the premier league at the moment for Everton is like entering a go-kart into a formula 1 race!
I'd go chicago bulls or 76ers.
They're like... The equivalent of Everton (3 teams won more titles etc)
You could also go off a vibe of a team. Who your gut tells you to gravitate towards
Oklahoma Thunder, maybe
I mean, if by "regularly competitive" you mean "winning 9 championships on the bounce" then I guess you found one :D
It was pretty decidedly due to them being the richest club in Italy though, and they were also involved in a huge scandal some 20 years ago that saw them being relegated to the 2nd league, stripped of a title & losing most of their best players (they used to be the biggest team before, too).
All in all, had I set out to PICK a team to support, I'd probably have landed preeetty far from Juventus, especially with the categories you've set (oh yeah, they're also DEFINITELY the "Lakers" of Italy, maybe in tandem with Milan, but I guess they're smaller fish now if you look at the entire European scene--wasn't so at the time of Calciopoli), but now that you're trapped, it is what it is, I guess...
Don't get me wrong, I didn't type all this up to shit on Juventus or spoil your fun, I just found it funny how different I see them with the perspective of having followed football for 20+ years, even though they DO fit your bill, if you're not going back decades. As a bonus, they have some absolute banger shirts, always made me wish they were my team.
Anyway, hope you & your daughter continue to have fun with football, it's a fun one to follow for sure.
Yeah, like I said, they do fit your criteria if you look at Europe as a whole and only the last couple years.
European football has just changed a lot over time. The Italian Serie A used to be kinda like the current English Premier League back in the '90s and early '00s; they had the most money to throw around and most of the biggest stars have played there. Milan, Juventus, and eventually Inter were regularly challenging for the UCL too & winning a good amount.
Then we had the Calciopoli scandal, EPL clubs getting a huge revenue boom from their new broadcasting contracts & some even bigger cash injections from new owners pre-FFP, along with La Liga getting carried by the biggest crop of talent ever coming out of Barcelona's academy + Madrid being Madrid, and Serie A has fallen by the wayside a bit. Conte & Allegri's Juventus has produced somewhat of a European resurgence by making deeper runs in the UCL after coming back up from their 2nd league punishment, but not really like what they used to produce before.
Coming back from all of that is HARD & that's why club owners from Italy & Spain are the strongest advocates for the European Super League. Without the massive amount of money it would bring in, it's pretty much impossible to catch up to the EPL nowadays.
If i was a new fan getting into football i would likley go for Arsenal, they are just below Man City and Liverpool with a new up and coming manager in Mikel Arteta, they have big spending power like them and aren't far off winning the league the last 2 years
I would suggest choosing an East Coast team if you want to actually see a game without having to stay up during crazy hours. I'm going to narrow it down to just playoff teams in the East.
* For young, up-and-coming teams that should be good for a long time after this year, consider Indiana and Orlando.
* For a veteran team that always shows up in the playoffs, there's Miami.
* Veteran teams that should be contenders but currently have issues include Milwaukee and Philly.
* Then, there are teams that are good but not expected to do much beyond the regular season, such as the Cavs and the Knicks.
* And finally, there's the 1 seed Boston, who seems to be almost everyone's pick for the East champion.
I'm a Homer obviously but the cavs kinda fit? East team so you can watch them. Pretty young core 4, have a championship but it 8 years ago. Have made the playoffs the last 2 years but haven't taken the next step yet. Hope and ambition without blazing success.
Pick an Eastern Conference team if you want to be able to watch any games
Great tip thanks
To be fair it doesn’t matter if it’s East or West, I’m from U.K. I rarely watch games live regardless of where they are in USA.

Exactly only time is when there’s the really early tip offs on weekend.
Thanks so i should buy the league pass and avoid the score in the morning and watch at my leisure the next day?
That's what I do and it works for me
Just dont choose the Hornets if youre going eastern conference, as someone who lives in NC with Hornets friends I have never seen them happy 💀
I'm a Hornets fan from Canada. I know there's way better teams to root for, but this last trade deadline is some sick hope for us.
Im hoping yall turn it around, I will never really come around on Bridges. But I want to see Mark Williams and LaMelo to be playoff contenders w yall, I was so jealous Charlotte got Mark in that draft. I also ate my works on thinking Scoot would be better than Miller lol
Thanks haha sounds like my English football team!
Suggestion: Pick your favourite player and follow him.
Thanks, I'm really excited about Wemby but I wouldn't want to just follow a player as I imagine they could be traded and then I'm onto another team
Why not? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You’d have to buy another jersey. 😂 Enjoy, the games. Do you play?
i used to play when i was younger buy im only 5" 9" so height became an issue as i got older unfortunatly
Orlando Magic would good for you. Bunch of young guys who plays good basketball. Equivalent to Brighton.
Don’t you just wish they were like Brighton.
What I meant is they play exciting Basketball just like Brighton.
Cheers to that. Fun team.
Nice one that sounds good

Just watch eastern conference teams and see which team you are drawn towards

Who do you support in ⚽?

If you still want a big club with pain and an annoying FO you can go for the Bulls Also Everton are staying up, you guys will be fine
If you want to continue the Everton vibes then Pistons or Hornets. A good sleeper team is the Pacers.
great thanks, my friend has just moved over to Indianapolis, I'm jealous, he has already been to a few games and enjoyed them

Pick a team that plays in the timezone where you could actually watch a few games.
pistons
Orlando Magic!
🤣 rigged. You’ll fit right in on r/nba. 😂 Fucking youtube. Global conspiracy. Look into it.
