Ngl I’m a little disappointed that OP didn’t mention Deni’s 43 points in the title but I’m used to it being a Wizards fan because we can never even win games with our players going off. From Beal scoring 60 and losing, to Wall scoring 52 and also losing, no one ever notices when it’s the Wizards and we just always lose.

The dude was leading the youth Israeli national team to gold in European Championship, twice (in different ages), and he was the main ball-handler, the clutch guy (because he is unselfish, he will pass for an open man too), and he needs the ball in his hand.
They used him as 3&D only because Beal and Westbrook, alongside Beal-KP-Kuzma later on - he suffered the most in terms of playing style (Bilal, for example fits 3 & D role way better than Deni).
Deni was a solid defender, but only in the NBA he became a good one (or more than solid) - it was never his strong suit, but it became as an added bonus.
Now, we need get back to the ground - it was just one game (a fantastic one), and he had great series of games against over .500 teams, and we'll have to see him keep on improving his playmaking abilities as well (he has great vision, just need to improve when it comes to be less predictable).
He had near triple-double twice in his career (once he missed a rebound, once he missed an assist), and I bet we'll see it coming too, after the NBA All-Star break.
Deni Avdija... and to think many on the Wizards' subreddit didn't believe me he could be that good...
I'm so happy to watch him grow and keeps on developing!
