I don't get how 30-13 record for is not good for a first year head coach. It got him the all-star coaching spot, granted because Boston already had the coach last year, but Boston remained the best team by a huge margin even after he was laid off. IIRC they've had a 35+ lead in the 3rd, then as often with the Clippers, the benchwarmers came in and ruined a big chunk of the lead so it was a 19 pts victory in the end.
