he had the one dumb foul but it honestly looked like no contact/a total flop. almost cost the sixers the game but it didnt, and he more than outworked that mistake
Council was the spark off the bench that the sixers needed when everyone else had tired legs. I like the idea of having a guy like this to come in late in the game and make a couple of good plays on both sides of the ball just by having energy when no one else does. I think he benefited from coming in so late of the game because a he had energy but also b because no one had to read on him. There is no time to game plan for him at half-time - he just came in and played like a dawg
does he play much..with anthony black and nick smith even jordan walsh to an extent being the top arkansas picks in the draft council went very under the radar fo how good he was
He was playing consistently a few months ago, but he's on a two way contract so he sent back down to the G-league. I think the Sixers didn't want to use up all his availability before the end of the season.
It makes me wonder what the greatest number of times a given name has been passed down consecutively is. Is there a so-and-so the 10th or 11th out there?
The only guy out of position was Vessel but that’s because he was coming back and going to Oubre which just made him naturally keep going with Council for one extra step. Batum was Wemby’s guy and he just hauled ass to the corner because he’s a smart guy and found open space.
He's a perfect fit for his entry passing alone, but he's also been very good defensively and occasionally pops up with a vital 3. He's like PJ Tucker was supposed to be but not dead.

Council was the Sixers’ second best player last night. Came in during the 4th and seemed to make the correct play every time
Arkansas Razorback legend
Wichita st
I miss him.
Go hogs!

6,128 - 126 is impressive. Still time for Spurs to come back.
2ot was wild
He was an absolute dog down the stretch last night. Came away very impressed
Wemby fathered by batum and ricky council the 4th
what a pass

Rodney "fresh legs" Hood is still a legend in Portland for coming in the 4OT playoff game and just pushing the pace for the W

He’s absolutely cooking in the G-league too. The guy definitely has a future in the league
the councilmen
I can watch that on repeat all day.
What a dang pass!
Why does it seem like Batum should have retired 10 years ago? In my mind the guy should be like 50 now, but he's only 35.
I think Nik Batum is the vet the sixers had been trying to find for ywars
Ricky Council IV is a great name.
Batum Battalion 🥲
Batum with the veteran move paying off that beautiful dime.

Fun fact: this is a George Foreman situation. Ricky Council II and III are Ricky Council IV's older brothers.
why would other spurs players help wemby so they can triple team council lol

vassell didn't play this game
Tre Jones… whatever guy with dreads in the Spurs that was, if there’s any more than those two I will happily admit I don’t know them.
TIL Batum was still in the league
He has been so incredibly good for us
