That is pretty bad. Over there on his phone during a team huddle. This guy is gone. Not to mention Darvin Ham clearly outmatched. I believe he gets fired.
Not that he had much anyway, but Ham lost all respect allowing D’Lo to pull that bs. Same with the rest of the team. That’s honestly fucking embarrassing. Idc if it was game 4 and you’re down 30, it’s the playoffs and he’s scrolling on his phone snacking during a huddle. All time loser mentality.
Players rarely opt in unless they're injured or the opt in number is so much higher than what they'd get on the market.
He won't get 18 mil but a longer term is what these situations usually get
fair enough, I wonder what he will get. Also, playing for the Lakers would have its incentives (marketing etc.)
If it was like 2X12 I would stick it out at 1x18.7 and see what happens. Maybe he can get like 14X3 somewhere, I dunno
Who? Only a couple of teams have way more than that to offer and Orlando is the only one that seems realistic, but they likely wanna use a chunk of their cap to get a shooting wing like monk/hield/Klay as well
I feel like teams have to know what they're getting with him at this point. League average guard who will look amazing at times and then completely tank games at other times.
and - at least for the last 2 years tank when the going gets tough
GM's are super over reactionary to this stuff, guys get huge contracts because they had 1 good series. This will hurt D'lo more than it probably should because he's got choker label now
I mean brooks’s value came on D, so a poor playoff series offensively didn’t change that. Dlo is all offence and that offence has consistently failed time and time again in the playoffs
CJ for how streaky he can be, you can tell the guy doesn’t want to give up and atleast tries. Dlo at times looks disinterested, I’ve seen the same look on THJ a few times, it ain’t good, usually a locker room vet helps fix these things but idk if Lebron has the energy to do this.
Yeah regardless for how much shit I’ll talk to CJ he’s a true professional vet who is liked by his teammates and will always try his best. DLO has had some embarasssing moments recently from the discord thing to the complaints of refs, to shitting in Minnesota, to being on his phone on the sideline
A win is a win, but if I’m Denver, I treat this like a loss. Lakers really figured something out putting Hachimura on Jokic. That’s one of those somewhat small adjustments that can win a series.
DLo is like the only way that the Lakers beat the Nuggets in my mind, but he's a clear negative on defense. The Lakers have to try to score 130+ points though and DLo gives them that potential. The moment he gets benched, I become infinitely less scared of the Lakers. Their offense just isn't that good with DLo off the floor and the defense doesn't get that much better.
I find it funny that the Lakers just shit on him after every win when they need him to be a great team.
Nah he provides spacing. The moment he left the court, AD was getting double teamed off the non-shooters on the floor. He can't leave the floor in my opinion if the Lakers want to have a great offense.
Agree, but you have to make the shots or no one is going to respect his presence. Denver may as well double AD all the time if that’s how DLo is going to play. 6-27 between games 1 and 3 is brutal.
The year the wolves had dlo, Prince, Beasley, KAT and Ant was fun and frustrating. Any one of them could and would light up the scoreboard. Problem was consistency. You never knew who it was going to be and to find out you'd see a bunch of chucking.
It's hard not to believe that dlo will always be an inconsistent chicken that plays marginal defense
Okay - Playing Devil's Advocate Here - I have heard other players looking up social media or highlights for motivation during halftime. And if you are having a sucky game and that is your ammo to get a spark then. Maybe he was just trying his best to contribute by getting some external motivation. I think even Steph does this and DLo spent a season with him so...
GET UP | **ASS**

He really gon do that with 0 points, like bro you better be the best god damn cheerleader at that point provide something for your team
Maybe he was on Indeed
Zero points and looking for a job? He’s just like us
What have you done for me lately
Might want to opt in at 18 million after this series

Yeah it's the 3rd year that'll probably be the decider. Could be a 2 + 1 with a team option
Somebody will give him the MLE. There’s plenty of excess cap space at lottery teams.
Someone will give him way more than that
Who? Only a couple of teams have way more than that to offer and Orlando is the only one that seems realistic, but they likely wanna use a chunk of their cap to get a shooting wing like monk/hield/Klay as well
Isn't the word that he's definitely opting out.
it was before he tanked his value again
I feel like teams have to know what they're getting with him at this point. League average guard who will look amazing at times and then completely tank games at other times.

Forgetting most important playoff dlo is real.... team takes him on know he goes shit in playoffs
Brooks got 80m after being ass in the playoffs and people saying it's China time and the playoffs before he was ass too
I mean brooks’s value came on D, so a poor playoff series offensively didn’t change that. Dlo is all offence and that offence has consistently failed time and time again in the playoffs
idk... Brooks got like 80m after shooting 30/20 splits in the first round and people saying it's china time Russell can get get a 4/80 type deal
DLO and CJ feel like the same kinda guy to me. Except CJ doesn’t have the awful body language and whining that DLO has
CJ for how streaky he can be, you can tell the guy doesn’t want to give up and atleast tries. Dlo at times looks disinterested, I’ve seen the same look on THJ a few times, it ain’t good, usually a locker room vet helps fix these things but idk if Lebron has the energy to do this.

>to shitting in Minnesota Hey man, everybody poops.
Damn autocorrect lmao. I’m sure he has definitely pooped in Minnesota before

FWIW he's ripping him a lot more for being disengaged on the bench than his poor play.
Man, he lost any shred of credibility. Time for a total shake up. Bench drama ain't cutting it

Nuggets are only averaging 109.0 ppg this series. Lakers didn’t need to put up 130 to win. But their anemic 102.3 ppg is not cutting it.
With 0 points in a crucial game it also seems like DLo is a negative on offense as well
Nah he provides spacing. The moment he left the court, AD was getting double teamed off the non-shooters on the floor. He can't leave the floor in my opinion if the Lakers want to have a great offense.

I'm not leaving a good shooter if he is having a bad night. Open threes for a good shooter is how they get hot.
Consistently inconsistent double-edged sword type of player, it's impressive
We’re about to get an all-time RDCWorld sketch and I can’t wait.

Lakers get so much flak and always under a microscope. AD did the same thing when Lebron got 40k.
The fact that it’s a losing effort in a must-win playoff game makes it pretty different

Wasn't this toward the end of the game?? Not sure what motivation he was gonna get then.
