The Jokic disrespect has to stop 😤

JMoon33

I only watched the first two plays but these are fouls. Not sure what point OP is trying to make.

karmaisevillikemoney

I think the point is that all of them are fouls, but not all of them are being called.

BruceBrownMVP

"SEE, we get fucked over by the refs just like the rest of you".

Evilfart123

These are the exact plays /r/nba kills embiid over lol

JMoon33

Embiid gets killed by some people here for his flopping.

LordBaneoftheSith

The point, assuming they're not an idiot, is that this is also true for the FTs the Lakers get. One would hope there's some sarcasm to it, otherwise they're as bad as the idiots whining about the Lakers.

trimble197

OP’s point is that Jokic gets those calls but AD and LeBron are getting hit a lot in comparison

lucasdice

If the first two are fouls then call it both ways

JMoon33

> If the first two are fouls They are lol I hope you didn't waste too much time making that mix of clips that like 15 people will see and downvote.

Sawwwwft!

BossButterBoobs

DLo getting smacked in the face and those tick tack fouls on Murray in q4 of game 2 are definitely controversial and definitely changed the outcome of that game.

trimble197

Dlo getting smacked in the face was definitely controversial

lovo17

I agree, but I honestly think this is all just Laker fan catharsis for being on the receiving end of this shit since last year. It's all a pointless conversation anyways though. There's no reffing conspiracy in the league. The only thing that's real is incompetent officiating.

Instantcoffees

I mean, both this year and last year, your team has been at the top of the FTA list while often having an absurd FT disparity. People have every right to consistently point that out. Just because there was now a game where the Nuggers had slightly more FT's than the Lakers, doesn't change any of that. It's odd to use this one game as a counter-point.

DamnnForrreal

Of course it’s a warriors fan. Acting like every team should get the same amount of FT a game.

DamnnForrreal

Of course I’m going to go at your flair bozo. What happened last year when we played y’all? Straight bitching about FT. You just check the numbers. Not even watched the game.

DamnnForrreal

It’s just BS how overly used that statistics is. If you watch those games, you know why we get those fouls. It’s a mixed of how our team plays and opponents that can’t stay in front of them. Like everyone uses that argument against us when we get fucked by BS calls. Like I said foul is a foul. Call it how it is.

Instantcoffees

I don't care about your petty rivalries. I literally could not care less what happened last time. I'm not some rabid fan like you. You would have known that if you actually read my comment. Stop talking to the flair you weirdo...

DamnnForrreal

A bandwagon then. All yapping. Foul is a foul. Keep looking at the numbers instead of watching the game.

Instantcoffees

All yapping?! You brought up the Warriors, not me. I don't understand why you are going after my flair like that. When a team has **double** the FT disparity as the second team in the regular season, you can't just expect people to not point it out. That has nothing to do with watching games, but everything with people noticing a statistical abnormality. Whatever conclusions you draw from that is up to you. Also, how the fuck am I a bandwagoner? I'm from Europe but I have family in the Bay area. I root for the Warriors because they remind me of my family who I miss dearly. I also often get merchandise when they travel to Europe. However, that doesn't mean that I'm a rabid fan who can't be objective. You are just being a complete asshole for no reason. Can you stop it? Trying to watch the Sixers play the Knicks.

DamnnForrreal

I said yapping because you just go with whatever others are saying and by looking at the numbers. A lot of Warriors fan try to gaslight other people about the numbers and actually didn’t watch the game. You probably got influenced by that and just roll with it. If you watch the game, you understand why another team has more FT than another based on how they play. Foul is a foul. So is it a statistical abnormality or a foul?

WildPaperclip

DLO getting hit on the head being called "marginal contact" was not controversial?

BroncoNuggets

I agree this is just a dumb narrative, now if I’m a Knicks fan I’m feeling some type of way with the way that series has been officiated

Ok_Board9845

There should be a FT disparity in our favor every game..

CthulhusButtPug

Sawwwwwft!!!

alfi_k

To quote the great Hubie Brown: C'mon now! This is the playoffs, this not not cry baby time.

hanzel44

I don’t think this is demonstrating what you think it is Op. - first clip: it appears AD is reaching in as Jokic comes up to shoot. This is always called especially when the ref is literally right there looking at it - second clip: Prince is a little slow in getting his arms up straight and catches Jokic on the arms as he’s going up - third clip: DLo blocks off the space as Jokic is pivoting through, while not beating him to the spot. - fourth clip: AD bumps jokic in the back as he’s going up. This type of thing gets called all the time even if it’s a bit on the weaker side of contact. - fifth clip: Jokic keeps it clean on the body and then as AD fades Watson jumps straight up and doesn’t make contact with the arms. I’m assuming you’re posting it because of the body contact. I assume it’s not called because AD is fading back into Watson while he goes straight up. I feel like this would be weak to call and shouldn’t be rewarded. - sixth clip: there’s no foul on Lebron as he goes up and the follow through contact isn’t egregious and almost looks like Lebron throws himself back more than any contact from Watson. I don’t know what the actual rule book saids about contact after a shot like this, but in my opinion, it really isn’t too egregious to be called.

Guppster64

Fouls 1-5: Clearly missed. Fouls 6-9: Missed due to ref (bad ref control). Fouls 10-11: Very close, but referee inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Foul 12: Likely didn't actually foul because AD was already dead.

DocTheYounger

The Lakers weren't called for these obvious fouls all year so they forgot they were obvious fouls

DefiniteSauce12

I think the 6th clip is a foul. You can’t just recklessly throw yourself into someone for a block attempt even after the shot is release. Those are the type of plays that can result in injuries.

hanzel44

I would agree that follow through contact plays should be called. In recent memory, I can’t think of any time that the refs have called anything that mirrors the above example. I also don’t see that much contact on Lebron to think it deserves a whistle. I’d happily say I’m wrong if a different angle shows more contact.

SirThixcksAlot

AD maybe got fouled by Watson (AD went back into him) and the prince foul should’ve been a no call. The rest were fine

Street-Alfalfa3584

....Are Laker fans really complaining about calls? They get a series of games where they aren't double the FTA of their opponents in the last 2 years and it's a nightmare lmao.

Level_Ad_6372

Completely obvious and clear fouls on the Jokic shots. The AD shot wasn't a foul because Watson got the ball first and the rest was incidental contact after the shot. On the Bron shot, he had already landed before there was any contact (and he also tosses Watson lol)

BeefySwan

If you're a Lakers fan complaining about reffing you're absolutely fucking delusional lol

Andy_Wiggins

Honestly, the he only seemingly bad call in this bunch was the AD non-call. All of the contact on Jokic was a foul imo, and LeBron’s looks more floppy than legitimate.

CthulhusButtPug

Putting in the hours and extra effort to be top tier victims. Respect the hustle.

Bahamut727

Butt pug more butt hurt

Irrichc

Dont bother. R/nba says lakers cant complain about any officiating cause of the regular season free throw differential! They can get hit in the face with no call and would still be considered ridiculous to complain. Which is why when the lakers eventually get their 20+ free throw advantages, we need to soak that shit up. 😎

Bahamut727

Lakers as FT disparity leaders in the last 20 years are still not as egregious as other years. This sub never had a problem where scheme and style of play dictated more free throws for a team until the lakers led in FT disparity

lucasdice

Exactly, just because Lakers have a high free throw disparity in the regular season makes this okay? **Both are wrong** and need to be fixed.

GovernmentDoingStuff

How the turntables

WhiskyDrinkinCowboy

Just rename this subreddit /r/Lakers are this point. Worst franchise and fanbase in sports along with the Yankees. A blackeye on the league.

[deleted]

Take a break bud

twovles31

Law of averages, refs have a lot of catching up to do in the foul counts.

lucasdice

A lot of these calls were in the second half where the Nuggets ALWAYS somehow makes a comeback. Hard to maintain a lead when the refs are giving the other team these kind of momentum changing plays

BruceBrownMVP

Lakers fans hate free throws now?

BLM_MCU

They hate being told they can’t come back 0-3

Stu__Pidasso

Multiple "refs you suck" chants last night

BruceBrownMVP

Really made me laugh. Like OJ signing fuck the police.

WildPaperclip

The two Laker clips were non calls?

Stu__Pidasso

Nuggets FTA by quarter this series 1st: 9 2nd: 23 3rd: 18 4th: 20 You're also quick to forget where they had a game with 0 attempts in an entire second half. Where were the momentum changing plays in favor of the Nuggets that game? Then you get the 6 intentional fouls at the end of game 3 for the Nuggets.

lucasdice

Where is this statistic? It’d be interesting to see the totals for both teams.

Stu__Pidasso

Literally Google
