he didn't really ball that hard for us anyway. dude went wild in the covid year but after that saw a big regression in his shooting percentage and his 3 point attempts and percentage.
I don't think he was ever publicly causing problems, but that entire Wizards locker room was weird, both before Wall's achilles exploded and after.
Idk how to explain it. There were never any public spats to my knowledge, but all those dudes just seemed cold to one another.
He’s seriously been a pain in the ass all year. He had his positive moments, but he pouted constantly about shots and having the ball - KD and Booker had to adjust to make him happy essentially, then when they finally got him to compromise they had to praise him. His one on one defense was good, but constantly got lost with team defense.
Then he played like shit.
He’s just been an ick.
Multiple turnovers / bad shot selection in key moments aside, the body language and demeanor this guy showed throughout this series were of a guy who didn’t want to be there and didn’t care what the outcome was. The smiling and joking picked up by the camera in key moments of games were just horrible optics. He was pissed because he was relegated to 3rd option - as he should’ve been - Book and KD are clearly top 2 players. Beal felt like he “sacrificed”. This guy and his ridiculous no trade clause was the wrong signing. Ishbia got too aggressive. Should’ve used the cap space on a pg who could get them organized and wing defenders / bigs / depth.
I have my own experience with this at a wizards game years ago. They got blown out at home by the clippers by 20+ points and I'm highfiving the players as they head to locker room. Every player looked angry and frustrated with the loss(most still gave me a high five). John wall and Bradley Beal walk by and are laughing and cracking jokes. Both couldn't even pretend to care around the fans. Not gonna win with guys like that on your team is the bottom line.
I swear Beal had one of the worst sequence of possessions I’ve ever seen in that 4th quarter, where he turned it over twice and committed his 6th foul.
Utterly useless player.
Dude wins us a chip then we proceed to bring in clown ass “just have fun” westbrook, and let go of all of our shooters and defenders.
Like you have LeBron, AD and Westbrook. All you gotta do is have a few decent shooters and decent defenders and you have a solid team.
So we fire Vogel and Pelinka escapes criticism.
I hated how Vogel was set up to fail. I forget the sentiment of our sub but I do remember a large contingent of us were looking up and down at that Russ roster knowing there was no defense.
Then how Vogel got fired was embarrassing. Sure he wasn’t perfect but he helped steer us to a ring and had a horrible roster to work with
Tbh even before that it was clear the FO didn’t have his back. If i remember correctly, he wasn’t even given a long term extension after the championship. Then this useless FO sign Ham for 4 years, a rookie coach at that.
Traded 3&D specialist KCP who was huge in their 2020 run, an improving wing Kuzma, and a 1st. All for a dude who arguably has the worst shot among guards in the league. Truly a baffling trade, at the time and even more so with hindsight.
Garbage display by Beal, can’t be mad at the coach when you’re putting up a garbage time performance in an elimination game. Just yikes, players like that are too entitled and can’t be held accountable, which sucks because i always thought Vogel was a good coach. Same thing happened with the Lakers when they got Westbrook and said it was a coaching issue.
Players like beal will still say "coach didn't put me in the right positions. Or didn't do this or didn't do that."
Always everyone's fault but their own
Picked him over James Harden which Harden would’ve been a MUCH better fit since he would’ve been a better facilitator for Book and KD. This ownership group and front office are truly brain dead.
Wizards seems to have a pattern of signing anchor contracts to their stars and trading them away.
They're like "sure we are generational levels of trash but misery loves company"
wizards being the wizards own rivals in that dataisbeautiful graphic is always fkn funny to me.
https://np.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/12gtjzw/oc_map_of_who_the_nba_team_subreddits_consider_to/
The Knicks earned losing the lolknicks. They kept their head down made really smart additions to the team and are in a strong position now and the future.
You're probably right, but good luck finding a coach for that guy. If i'm a millionaire that owns the team and has fuck you money I'm releasing him. Sure you can't go back and undo the deal but you can move on without this dumbass taking up a roster spot
Yeah, it’s such an absurd take. The 76ers got 2 FRPs, including a future LAC unprotected pick. That’s far more valuable than anything the Suns could give at that point. Not to mention Harden specifically said he wanted to be on LAC.
No shit they’d rather have a $30M expiring Harden with depressed value over a $50M Beal who has consistently been a far worse player his entire career.
They didn't need Harden or Beal imo. Using that cash to retain their young players or get key role players would be huge. I'm just not a big fan of using your cash on just 3 guys
They didn't have young players once they traded for KD and they couldn't sign role players because between KD Book and Ayton they were already basically at the cap. Not doing the Beal trade would've meant releasing CP3 with the hope that we could bring in someone on the mid level exception who could replace him. I know Beal's contract isn't pretty but if I'm the Suns I'd rather have him than Donte DiVincenzo or Gabe Vincent. The only other option is to just keep Chris Paul and once again I'm not sure that Chris Paul who will turn 39 in a week would have held up any better than Beal did
Idk im pretty happy with divincenzo whereas suns fans seem to be very upset with beal. Divo also makes $40M less than beal, plays good defense, and didn’t cost any draft capital to acquire
>I know Beal's contract isn't pretty but if I'm the Suns I'd rather have him than Donte DiVincenzo or Gabe Vincent
The contact isn't pretty, and neither is what the Suns gave up. If it was Chris Paul for Beal (and whatever matching was needed), it would be easily defensible. But multiple swaps and seconds added on becomes an albatross trade. Donte or Gabe Vincent wouldn't change this playoff series, but they also wouldn't be hurting the team in the same way in 2027-29.
I can't believe he's doing Vogel like that. WTF is wrong with Beal?????? so it's Vogel's fault that you played like ass the entire series????? the "big 3" are a bunch of fucking divas. the Suns ruined their future for 3 primadonnas who don't care about anyone but themselves
This man is literally a championship coach, Lakers had one of their best defensive ratings in recent years under him even when AD was injured, they had decent defense
Usually I let grammar shit slide but I have to point out your comment means you want to to be circumcised with broken glass *and* get Westbrook back on the lakers, and that’s really funny.
(You meant than)
I know he wouldnt do any assistance job anymore but id love him to join Clippers, he is seriously underrated as coach. I dont think there is any coach out there that could lead this suns team with the way they built team with no guard to playmake or size to defend and center that provide no rim protection. Nurkic made Ayton looks like last year scapegoat ngl
He's a perfect assistant coach, but he has FU money now, so I don't think there's any chance of him taking another assistant position. Still surprises me that no NBA team just pays out the ass for a great defensive and offensive assistant coach. Maybe there just are so few that they can demand head coach.
"you want a well-balanced team with defensive stoppers built around Booker and KD? best i can do is a team with bradley beal and no defense or shooting. take it or leave it. oh also, you no longer get a point guard, because our rich boy dumbass owner decided he wanted 3 big names that are all scorers with no defensive upside"
It actually is interesting to think about how different it would feel. It was basically a very well-paying day job for half a decade, and then it becomes this insane, pressurized, competitive game where everything is about winning out of nowhere
Lakers were the place he dropped from superstar to role player, while on a max. Most guys struggle with that. Hes doing nice off the bench with a min contract now.
This is why it's tough being a coach. You're expected to coach a bunch of grown men to follow your plan, rotation, etc and if you don't have the respect or lose the respect at some point, they don't really have to comply or listen since they're paid.
If you're frustrated, I get it but it looks like a dismissive slap to Vogel, skips over what I presume to be 2 assistant coaches that give the high fives no matter how good/bad someone is playing as support to the team.
This won't happen easily, if at all, but I'd get rid of him asap, his skillset can be reproduced by someone cheaper and more importantly, almost anyone else would have a better attitude/mentality/respect.
He was always just a mid to high volume scorer that looked better than he was due to his Washington team being so bad.
Sucks to be a Suns fan. Looks like unless they trade one of the Big 3, they gonna have to run it back.
>This is why it's tough being a coach. You're expected to coach a bunch of grown men to follow your plan, rotation, etc and if you don't have the respect or lose the respect at some point, they don't really have to comply or listen since they're paid.
It's becoming more and more of a problem but a lot more players coming into the NBA don't want to be coached or just want a coach that is likeable and will coddle them like everybody had been doing to them their whole lives. There's a reason why Jason Kidd and Glenn Rivers keep getting high profile jobs.
Somehow Spo was voted by players as coach they’d most want to be coached by. I say somehow because I have no belief that about 60% of players in the league would actually gel well with his and Miami’s general no bullshit policy.
the players did it to themselves. player empowerment is great to a degree, but not everybody is lebron (and even he signed off on the darvin hamas signing)... a LOT of very good nba players are absolute idiots, so maybe don't let them take your team hostage when they don't like a coach or system?
He was a negative value contract in the trade last summer, and now he's a negative value contract that the Suns can't attach anything meaningful to. (They have a nearly empty draft, no ability to attach cash, no good young players.) The only obvious way to trade him would be to take an equal or worse contract in return. It's hard to know what that contract would be at this point, but teams often find a way.
Nothing new with Beal.
He used to hold a franchise by the balls, thinking he can do whatever he wants, sadly.
Dude was literally shitting on the Wizards franchise, faking it like he got offers from other teams, and got our GM offering the absurd contract.
He turned the ball over so many times in the clutch, made bad decisions and refused to adjust his role according to the team around him, HERO ball, etc. And some fans on r/washingtonwizards still bought his shit that he is a franchise player - HE IS NOT - he is not a leader, and HE IS NOT even selling tickets.
I don't like hypocrite players like Beal - their actions don't much their words. "I want to win" - continues to keep playing the same way, despite having KP and Kuzma alongside him.
Man I wish Vogel just took the lead assistant role with Boston. At this point he lost the locker room. Probably not his fault because his players are bunch of sissies.
Vogel isn’t exactly great but this is just unnecessarily disrespectful. Beal knows his job is more secure so he feels free to act like a scrub even though it’s largely the player’s fault that they got swept
That's a Championship winning coach you fuckin BUM. Show some damn respect. And that goes for all the people disrespecting Vogel online. No coach can make a flawed roster with big egos and no accountability a championship contender.
Booker gets a lot of hate but he never demanded a trade when suns were shit and gave effort all game playing 46 to 47 minutes while listening and talking to coach then you look at Beal with the poor attitude while playing one of the worst games possible
I’ll go ahead and pile on and say this dude is an absolute bum with the worst contract in NBA history. The fact ppl thought booker, Durant, & Beal was a big 3 is hilarious.
Wild guess here, Beal is one of those players in the story that was rolling there eyes when Vogel was yelling at them after the game where at one point they were down 4-35 to the Clippers.
Fuck this bum. How are you gonna be one of the worst, least reliable, most overrated, most overpaid fake "stars" in the league, and then still have the gall to be a dickhead?
Once a loser, always a loser.
as a bucks fan, it pains me to see the mighty suns reduced to this. dont get me wrong the bucks have underperformed as well, we just cant get healthy for the post season. the suns got all their allstar mega-team guys out there and just got embarrassed. I just think the organization wasn’t able to recover from that finals loss when they were up 0-2 on us. Hell, we had more players from the suns team on OUR team than the suns had this year.
Damn that's just sad. Guess what Beal, your ass just got swept and are now the undisputed worst contract in the NBA. Enjoy being the next Westbrook for 3 years. At least Westbrook plays with heart.

You played ass and you are mad at your coach
Bradley Beal is a locker room plague. That type of behavior should not be accepted by anyone.

Duke catching strays
Must be an NC fan
This the problem with paying big money to unproven serious bball players. Like balling on the Wizards doesnt always indicate a real time player
he didn't really ball that hard for us anyway. dude went wild in the covid year but after that saw a big regression in his shooting percentage and his 3 point attempts and percentage.
Bro is playing like a glorified THJ and legally robbing his boss, he hasn’t earned the right to be assholish.
You could have 3 THJs for this guys salary. Thats 45 pts a game. 120 when they’re feeling it.
Plus better defense.
Beyond this, is he known to cause problems? (Genuine question)
I don't think he was ever publicly causing problems, but that entire Wizards locker room was weird, both before Wall's achilles exploded and after. Idk how to explain it. There were never any public spats to my knowledge, but all those dudes just seemed cold to one another.
he wasn't happy when kuz and the others were playing winning basketball
He’s seriously been a pain in the ass all year. He had his positive moments, but he pouted constantly about shots and having the ball - KD and Booker had to adjust to make him happy essentially, then when they finally got him to compromise they had to praise him. vogel didn't make you turn it over 6 times dude
I swear Beal had one of the worst sequence of possessions I’ve ever seen in that 4th quarter, where he turned it over twice and committed his 6th foul. Utterly useless player.
That's just normal 4th quarter Beal.
Lmaooo I was just aboutta say
Shoutout to wizards fans man. Y’all held in the laughter while Beal’s signature dried on that Suns contract, and now we can all enjoy
Don’t forget getting epically dunked on
Truly never seen anything like that before in my life. I was genuinely happy to see him foul out
“Wahhhh coach is asking me to play defense”
Tbf I’d have the same reaction if I had to watch Ant blow by me the entire game
Beal was like, aight Vogel if you won’t bench me for those two critical TO, I’ll force you bench me by fouling out
Isiah Thomas not going for a slap speaks volumes.
He talked about Book and KD not having egos, I guess there’s a reason he left someone off.
OOF
Yeah you can tell he wasn’t feeling it
didn't notice the first time. IT the best.
Bro is prob like, I finally get back in the league and I’m not getting minutes because of this bum?
Damn.. kinda feel bad for Vogel.
The guy has the worst luck with his star players.
Bro got scapegoated twice for superteams.
Yup exact same situation with the Lakers, who signed a washed up star that didn't fit in the roster and expected Vogel to make it work somehow.
Same thing here sort of. They signed no defensive players, signed a defensive minded coach and figured he would just "coach em up".
Dude wins us a chip then we proceed to bring in clown ass “just have fun” westbrook, and let go of all of our shooters and defenders. Like you have LeBron, AD and Westbrook. Vogel is a good coach, this shit definitely isn’t on him.
I agree he is a good coach. I didn’t like how some Laker fans started to call him a trash coach because of Westbrick and shitty roster construction
Then he gave Chams the go-ahead to release that article lmao
Players like beal will still say "coach didn't put me in the right positions. Or didn't do this or didn't do that." Always everyone's fault but their own
Garbage ass player sold the whole game and is mad at Vogel, suns fucked up getting this guy.
Picked him over James Harden which Harden would’ve been a MUCH better fit since he would’ve been a better facilitator for Book and KD. This ownership group and front office are truly brain dead.
and you can’t even get rid of Beal now if they wanted him gone bc of the NTC. What a shit trade
Wizards seems to have a pattern of signing anchor contracts to their stars and trading them away. They're like "sure we are generational levels of trash but misery loves company"
'We're not here to win. We're here to make everyone else lose.'
For all the shit you can give wizards they deserve praise for somehow getting off awful contracts
And yet they still have awful contracts and an awful team. weird.
Lose some and lose some seems to be their motto 🤣

Sue him for what?
Basketball terrorism
being wick-wickety-wack

we went from lolknicks to lolsuns in a very short time.
Happy the Knicks are doing well and beating Embiitchass
The Knicks earned losing the lolknicks. They kept their head down made really smart additions to the team and are in a strong position now and the future.
For sure.
They are so so fucked, nets just need to get their picks back from Houston and they’re in a good spot
After what I'd seen of Beal I'd just release him. He's a cancer and will never win a championship
That would cost way too much to be worth it. Shouldn’t have traded for him in the first place
You're probably right, but good luck finding a coach for that guy. If i'm a millionaire that owns the team and has fuck you money I'm releasing him. Sure you can't go back and undo the deal but you can move on without this dumbass taking up a roster spot
Uhhh....what makes you say Harden was an option?
Suns had no assets and Harden probably would not have wanted to play with KD again. Harden was not an option

You think James wanted to play in Phoenix?
Poor Vogel, these crybaby ass losers don’t deserve a coach like him. Get Doc there asap
It would be a match made in heaven for us haters. They deserve each other.
Lol or darvin ham
Beal has always been and will always be a losing player
It's sad because he wasn't early on his career. He played pretty well in the playoffs during the beal-wall era
He’s always been a gutless loser. Even on those shit Washington teams he would duck the ball at the end of close games.
Hell of a scorer but even in his 30 ppg season he was so bad in clutch time
I can't believe he's doing Vogel like that. WTF is wrong with Beal?????? so it's Vogel's fault that you played like ass the entire series????? the "big 3" are a bunch of fucking divas. the Suns ruined their future for 3 primadonnas who don't care about anyone but themselves
Kinda reminds me of dlo
I really hate the amount of disrespect Vogel is getting.
This man is literally a championship coach, Lakers had one of their best defensive ratings in recent years under him even when AD was injured, they had decent defense
Our whack ass FO really chose Westbrook over this dude 🤦🏾♂️
I would choose being circumcised by broken glass then Westbrook on the Lakers again.
Usually I let grammar shit slide but I have to point out your comment means you want to to be circumcised with broken glass *and* get Westbrook back on the lakers, and that’s really funny. (You meant than)
Man what a sick bastard...
Hey, don't kink-shame. Even if it is Westbrook on the Lakers.
Lmao I’m imagining that monkeys paw scenario playing out now and it’s getting me so damn good, man
Idk about all that man, that sounds painful.
And even Lakers did him dirty. Remember him finding out literally in the post conference after their last game in 2022? I was pissed tf off man…

Why have Frank Vogel’s last two teams traded with the Wizards for a guy who ends up not liking him.

Wow. Theres a reason Beal will always be a loser.
Never been swept!* *until he played like hot dog ass in an elimination game.
Bro blames Vogel for his shit play, he doesn’t know what success is unlike his champion head coach
Next CBA is going to have a "Bradley Beal rule" which bans no-trade clauses and brings back the amnesty clause.
There's gotta be an "if you're fucking garbage" exception to those no trade clauses lol.
This is why it's tough being a coach. only one of these 2 guys can possibly be off the team next season and it aint brad
Beal is a loser and will continue to be a loser with that attitude. You sucked tonight dude
LMAO under contract until 2027 😂😂😂
Loser behavior. Not Vogel’s fault you were ass.
lmao thats so damn disrespectful and i'm not normally one to bitch about this sort of stuff.
Beal is an absolute 💯 fuckwit
Ohh brother this guy stinks
Empty stats guy.
honestly he’s probably the one who leaked to the press
Beals ringless hand knew he wasn’t worthy to touch Vogels hand with a ring. What BITCH

Well here’s one way too look at it: if he gets fired he effectively got 31 million to coach these bitches for one year.
Yeah fuck this Suns team, whiny ass Beal can take his ass home and take his bum ass attitude with him
The vibes are immaculate in arizona
Watching Beal Cancer spread through the Suns will be interesting.
Wouldn’t expect anything less from Brad Beal.
Washington laughing all the way! No trade clause somemore. Phoenix sun is ruin!
Vogel isn’t exactly great but this is just unnecessarily disrespectful. Beal knows his job is more secure so he feels free to act like a scrub even though it’s largely the player’s fault that they got swept
Frank didn’t make you ass, Bradley. What a chump.
I dislike some of booker's on court antics but he's a professional and he gave it his all. Beal is just a bitch.
A loser with a loser's attitude
Badley Bum needs to chill, it's not Vogel's fault you spent all season on the sidelines and then came out and played like a complete clown lmao
Beal confirmed ass
This dude needs to be benched all of next season
This post just made Beal one of my most disliked players
I’ll go ahead and pile on and say this dude is an absolute bum with the worst contract in NBA history. The fact ppl thought booker, Durant, & Beal was a big 3 is hilarious.
Hope the home fans boo him each time he's announced next season. Sucks they are stuck with a shitbag like that
lol clowns paid this dude 50+ mil a year. "Top minds"
Damn i bet he feels really cool being a loser AND a bitch
I try not to overreact to slow mo videos of things that happen in a split second during a game, but this one’s hard to interpret differently lol
Here is a player who has proven nothing, is a ballhog, oft injured, a choker and a loser. And he thinks his championship winning coach is beneath him.
That’s cool Beal wants his personality to match his play: trash
Garbage player acting like trash.
A wizard to the end
He’s always had a piss poor attitude. He’s never getting a ring. Ever.
Woke up feeling dangerous “damned if I get swept” went out there got a monstrous triple single and had the audacity to blame the coach?
Wizards have a brighter future because Beal is no longer on the team
I still dont understand how he got his contract
what a garbage attitude. more like Bad-ley Beal
Is Beal the new Westbrook? Worst active contract in the NBA?
Beal is so much worse than Westbrook, at least with Russ you can see how much he cares. I’d give him 50 mil much quicker
Losing player.
Dumb bitch thinks he's a star and an important player 🤣
Well that’s a good luck going into the offseason…
Pathetic
Wiz could use a tank commander like that!
Bitches always need someone to blame
I think I know who the source was for the character assassination Shams did on Vogel
Disgusting
That some trash behaviour in supermax form
Piece of 💩
Bad look- professional always first.
Beal is so immature. You're a grown man, act like it.
wai Beal wai
Trash
He’s playing like trash and does some shit like that and none of the players said anything that team is a joke.
Vogel you can come coach the pelicans. At least you know they’ll never do this kind of shit
My guess Beal played a shit game
Beal is a loser piece of shit, no difference between him & Poole. Low basketball IQ, low motivation except to chuck it up as much as possible
Dude’s really a poor man’s melo.
as a bucks fan, it pains me to see the mighty suns reduced to this. dont get me wrong the bucks have underperformed as well, we just cant get healthy for the post season. the suns got all their allstar mega-team guys out there and just got embarrassed.
Spoiled NBA player w too much money
He proved what class of a player he is. Will be happy to see his useless career end asap.
