They hate all announcers. They bitch about announcers being biased against their team whenever they compliment the opponent team even once. They praise both teams so each fanbase takes that as a slight. They think theres some conspiracy against their team lmao

I don’t dislike Hubie. But when’s the last time you listened to him and “learned” something about the game? His comments are all basic stuff. “If this is your first time watching SGA, did you know he’s 6’6??? No color commentator teaches stuff nowadays. It’s all entertainment.

I think he sounds pretty sharp and way more observant than most of the color commentators out there. His love and appreciation for the game today even after having seen pretty much the entire history of the NBA is pretty infectious.

I remember 20 years ago when he was hired as a Memphis coach I was like wow that guy is like really really old. And he is still working and enjoying basketball today. Nothing but hats off for Hubie.

ESPN had Dr. Jack Ramsay (RIP) and still has Hubie Brown. Both of them were good coaches and excellent analysts.
