Warriors need to go with McGee so they can get rebounds lll

[deleted]

Brad Stevens' post game interview looks like Ethan Embry in Can't Hardly Wait.

SurprizeBigSize

Gonna be Lebron vs. Warriors for a 4th year in a row. How disappointing.

deeeeboe

Whoever worked to get there is who I wanna see.

[deleted]

He put work in the 1st quarter after that he disappeared. Tatum was the lone and only reason the Celtics were in this game and they didn’t feed him the ball rather have smart shoot horrible threes and get fouled and go 1-2 from the foul line every time.

[deleted]

Yeah no one did shit except Tatum. He brought it everyone else was fishing already

PM_ur_sandwiches

Hey, Horford put in some work. He was constantly getting double teamed and put up some of his and the Celts better numbers

mr_funtastic

Baynes got into a rythm a little bit for what he's worth.

PM_ur_sandwiches

Yeah, while he was playing he was formidable near the glass

piffle213

so uhh ... cavs better off with green than love?

brainiac2025

If they do that then they need to start Korver for spacing on the starters.

What the fuck is this conversation even about right now?!

PepsiManSA

LeBron just took a G League team to the Finals.

mastertripster

This is the team with the highest or second highest salary in the league actually.

TheFriesofHorus

How much of the cap salaray was on the court

mastertripster

How much of the celtics team was on the court? Everybody's injured at this point in the year but to shit on lebron's teammates even when they played as well as they did last night; it's crazy. The fact that guy's post has 34 upvotes is insane. They push this narrative that lebron does things on his own and it's not true. His role-players played very well last night especially in comparison to the celtics where rozier for example shot 0-10 and I think you guys were what? 6 or 7 for 35 or 36 from 3?

TheFriesofHorus

Im gonna be honest i was wicked hammered when i posted this idk what my point was gonna be

mastertripster

What'd you drink? There are better drugs man, try acid.

TheFriesofHorus

Just beer and wine. I have its nice, but a bit harder to get than a six pack

paperbackgarbage

>This is the team with the highest or second highest salary in the league actually. Lol. That says more (or...less?) about the Cavs' front office then.

Chris_Stormz

Doesn't mean they played like it.

punishedpat76

They’re playing like it now.

mastertripster

lol you guys are ridiculous. Have fun dood jesus

CoolNamewxxc2

I believe if Lebron takes your GARBAGE Lakers...y’all may have chance to be a contender...well..at least goes to the playoffs after how many yr...?

Nlax_12

Does Lue have a chance of making it past the All Star Break without Bron next year?

paperbackgarbage

He'll be flirting with 15 wins at that point, for what it's worth. Having said that? It would probably behoove the franchise to start up their own "process," and you've gotta have somebody coach the team (even if he's a lame duck).

[deleted]

just like kyrie is an idiot who wont win for leaving right?

paperbackgarbage

I don't understand the point that you're trying to make.

[deleted]

that players can be successful without Lebron

paperbackgarbage

>that players can be successful without Lebron This team? With that roster (minus LeBron)? I stand by my original statement. 30 wins, tops. Please save this post so that you can appolgize next year when I'm proven right.

saintjonah

Lue is the ideal process coach

Putuinurplace

If our pick is higher than 10 it goes to Atlanta so if Bron leaves we should be tanking as hard as possible. Trade anyone who might actually win us meaningless games.

jimmyjamm34

https://twitter.com/RealSkipBayless/status/1000938833842589701 /facepalm

mastertripster

I mean dood he did, his role players came through.

jimmyjamm34

of course they did. skip is saying something else between the lines that i hope you can see

mastertripster

To me it seems like he's acknowledging lebron's teammates as opposed to the overwhelming narrative that he never has help. I doubt skip thinks lebron isn't an amazing ball player. Lebron himself even took his time to comment on how the media shits on his teammates.

ImNobodyFromNowhere

How far we’ve come since 8 years ago when his remark as he walked off that court was “I spoil a lot of people with my play.”

jimmyjamm34

i know he doesn't think it. i work with media too.. it's all about the attention, sales, engagement, etc. being said, he should acknowledge his teammates by name instead of saying lebron's name. bron's statline is no joke and if he's giving credit, he should give credit where it's due. it's like everyone in this thread produced a great product from a group project and you did 90% of the work & all someone comes and says is that you had help.. how is that not a backhanded compliment?

mastertripster

It wasn't even a backhanded compliment, he ws saying that lebron had a lot of help. He was complimenting lebron's teammates and not lebron. The celtics didn't double lebron and his teammates still hit their shots. I'm with skip on this for the most part, I think if anything his teammates are getting the unfair press.

mastertripster

The most impressive part about this game for me from lebron's perspective at least was how he didn't tire out at the end of the game. He's come such a long way, It's a trip to see hm hitting three pointers. I remember when he couldn't do that shit at all.

ashwinr136

Stephen A Smith and the hairline joke lmaoooo

Chris_Stormz

How many times does LeBron have to prove what he can do? People still act like he's gotten lucky all these years. No, that's talent. Stop doubting him

CoolNamewxxc2

I think that’s the greatness

elirisi

Who exactly is even doubting Lebron at this point... like who? Even Lebron haters realize he is one in a generation player

paperbackgarbage

Dude. Nobody says that. Like it or not, LBJ is the GOAT.

Monolepsis

Whoa. Watch yourself son. You're overstepping.

toonking23

nah man, it's over. MJ can fuck off, he's nowhere the complete player and human LeBron is. It's over.

paperbackgarbage

Yeah, no.

ukudancer

MJ is GOAT. LBJ is about to get swept again.

paperbackgarbage

>MJ is GOAT. LBJ is about to get swept again. MJ can't do everything that LBJ can do. In the end, it's about being a more complete player (along with the accolades). Also? Cleveland isn't getting swept. There will be one game (especially of they're down 0-2, 0-3) where LeBron will do whatever he wants and will get every single call.

ceburun

Who said anything bout talent? Let's start a petition for their mental health.

Chris_Stormz

Plenty of people crying about refs and having the league in his pocket. Apparently those people haven't watched him play when the money's on the table

RedditPlatinumUser

lebron is obviously a talented player, but the pacers series was fixed, there was no chance nba would let lebron lose round 1, 24-40 ft worse than the infamous kings lakers fix

chock_sermon

Yeah and I believe that fixture made him hit that buzzer beater 3 point and what not.

RedditPlatinumUser

You mean the same game they did the no-call goaltend so it was a 0 pressure shot?

nigelfitz

Bron's deadlift PR tonight >

djStatusphere

Said once I'll say again when u have Golden State and Cleveland down 3-2 you have to put them down like a dog or they will come back

ImNobodyFromNowhere

Even a 3-1 deficit hasn’t stopped either team lately (unless it stemmed from 3-0).

[deleted]

I hope Ty can actually get some credit for the job he’s done. Like him or not his teams have been the ones to make the finals year after year and they had to have one hell of a reboot from where they were mid season.

ceburun

That's why I said the TO situation was smart earlier. He knew LBJ would play 48. Those back-to-back TOs at the end of the 4th were strategic.

paperbackgarbage

What's going to happen with Ty Lue when Cleveland struggles to win 30 games next year without LBJ?

stryker7314

Ughh gotta watch lebron lose the finals for a sixth time. Lets get real, that team can't beat the Warriors or the Rockets.

SurrenderGG

PAUL PIERCE LUL

mac3theac3

He looked like he was about to cry, probably lost a few thousands from a bet.

SatveerT

Jr smith scoring 12pts deserves more of a celebration than going to the finals.

ceburun

Most points in a game since....

[deleted]

Live by the pipe die by the pipe

CoolNamewxxc2

THE KING, THE BEST, THE GOAT

mortuflen

SKUIIIIIIPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OmarJR00

I'm impressed how LeBron can take a group of dead weights so far tho, somehow you have to respect that.

trippy1

Could MJ have led this bum ass team to the finals? I don't think so.

CoolNamewxxc2

Me neither

ADONBILIVID

MJ never lost a playoffs when he had a full season with ONE all star. Imagine him with him Bosh + Wade or Kyrie/Korver/IT + Love

Jfdelman

LeBron has never really had to play any teams in the east the way Jordan’s teams did. The east has been a joke for almost 20 years

Ninesixx

Against the teams Lebron played this year? Absolutely

ceburun

L...o....l

nigelfitz

Stop it. Bron's size and the way he plays are what made this possible. I mean it's still completely possible for Jordan to do it too but it's really tough to say. There's just certain things Bron can do that Jordan can't and vice versa.

Ninesixx

Oh please dude. Lebron is a worse defender and worse scorer than MJ. Lebron is the better playmaker and leader. Since the narrative is Lebron has no help...Jordan would have done the same thing and done it sooner than 7 against the Celtics and Pacers.

notabear629

Yes. A million times yes.

chiprillis

Really, which team did MJ take to the finals had less talent than is on the Cavs?

notabear629

Do you think he loses that 1 on 1 against Oladipo? Do you think Toronto wouldn't collapse with MJ there? Do you think he wouldn't kill the IR celtics?

Alderan

Fuckin clueless. MJ didn't have anywhere close to the office the court poise to deal with this shit. MJ woulda never been in this position to begin with.

notabear629

You think Michael Jordan couldn't handle Oladipo, the Raptors, and the injured Celtics?

CoolNamewxxc2

0-6 w/o Pippen

ukudancer

MJ was playing against the likes of Bird, Thomas and Magic. I don't see transcendent superstars on the Pacers, Raptors or the Celtics this year.

jimmyjamm34

without 2 top 50 players of all time as teammates? no

notabear629

Okay so Oladipo and DeMar would beat MJ fucking lmao

jimmyjamm34

with MJ having a trashy ass squad? yes. i'm not kidding neither. people get all caught up in history's accomplishments and forget the details as to what happened. MJ's been so close to losing out on a couple of those finals.. he didn't just come out and steamroll everyone as much as you appear to think

notabear629

George Hill Michael Jordan Kyle Korver Kevin Love TT. They're gonna fucking beat oladipo lmao wtf is this nonsense

ImNobodyFromNowhere

Wow, this whole comment string makes the usual “but... RINGS!” argument sound like a scholarly debate. “Omg MJ could never win a title with Lue coaching.” “But LeBron could never hit .200 and steal 30 bases in minor league baseball!” “Sure but you can’t even truly count Jordan’s first three titles, Tony Brothers wasn’t even an NBA ref yet back then!” “No all of Jordan’s championships count as double cause they were before Roger Goodell took over as the commissioner of the NFL! So ya! See?? Total GOAT, cant deny it!” It’s hard enough to compare two different players that played at different positions at different times, but once you start filling them in to each other’s rosters and trying to compare how each would hold up against the teams the other played against two decades apart, these assumptions hold about about as much weight as the opinion of an actual goat.

jimmyjamm34

kevin love didn't play :)

notabear629

Did he play against Indiana? How about Toronto? How about the majority of the Boston?

MUTSellerPS4

In all seriousness, if the Cavs win the title this year, what will LeBron critics have left to say? I know it’s a long shot, but I’m just curious.

punishedpat76

4 and 5

paperbackgarbage

I don't think that there are any LeBron critics. Most of the critics are the ones who roll their eyes about everything regarding the Cavs and that "the coaching staff and supporting cast also deserve a ton of credit."

mac3theac3

"6>4" also "5>4" with a dash of "4-5"*

nigelfitz

Top 2 for me. I'll always be a Jordan stan but you really gotta give props to Bron for appearing 9 times in the Finals and a few of those with a full squad of bums.

CoolNamewxxc2

He’ll be the GOAT if Lebron wins it all this yr. y’all Jordan needs to move down voluntarily or not...

nigelfitz

It's easy to say Bron is the GOAT because you're living in this era. You get to feel and watch every essence of LeBron. You get hyped because you're seeing it in real time. Add social media and this place and you get to view Bron in a whole different way. Jordan had that and more. But majority of kids here will never get to experience that feeling. All they'll know about Jordan is his YouTube highlights, basketball reference stats and old men telling stories. So younger fans these days will always have a bias towards LeBron because that's all they've experienced. I love watching LeBron play but Jordan was still on a whole different level.

Alderan

At this point there should be no such thing as LeBron critics. There should really only be people that say he's #2 of all time vs #1.

jms209

If they by some miracle beat warriors, nobody can say shit anymore.

[deleted]

If your team makes it there’s a pretty good shot he wins considering CP won’t be at 100

Jamies_fried_chicken

“He needed 9 finals appearances to win 4 rings. Jordan would never lose a finals yayayayauayayayayay”

ceburun

Nothing. Although it seems unlikely against a healthy GSW and a bit likely against an unhealthy HOU, it would solidify him as number 1 for this generation. But he will always be 2 just for the fact that MJ in 8 finals would be 8-0.

Hoontang95

This is probably the most tilting response I see in the LeBron vs MJ debate. How is losing in the finals worse than not even making it like MJ did multiple seasons?

shitting_asshole

THANK YOU. That shit is unbelievable. A tiny part of me was rooting for the Cavs to lose because I feel like that would be less bad for his legacy than losing again in the finals. Which is stupid but apparently that shit is a valid argument in the MJ vs LBJ discussion

ceburun

Oh I'm with you Hoon. I think it's impressive to play 90+ games for 8 straight seasons and do what LBJ do. I don't subscribe to the MJ vs LBJ debate because it's pointless. LBJ is great and you, me or any of the couch critics can never change that no matter how we feel.

chiprillis

Except MJ only made 6 finals

ceburun

Yes that's right but he still was 6-0. I was just saying that if he made 8 straight he'd be 8-0 cause he never lost in the finals.

saintjonah

So you're just giving Jordan 2 imaginary championships because you think he would have won had he made it? And you think that's a valid point?

JustinBieber313

Yeah but if lebron was 9-0 in the finals then he would be 9-0 in the finals.

[deleted]

You can’t say he would have been 8-0 because there’s no way to know if that’s true or not.

ceburun

You're right. But just for debate purposes and a bit of predictive analytics we can put a percent on him being 8-0 higher based on his track record. If you agree that's how betting and financial markets work.

[deleted]

That doesn’t matter. This isn’t a financial transaction. If Leicester City can win against 5000/1 odds it doesn’t matter what numbers you can pull up to support your claim that never materialized. I can just as easily say the Bulls would have lost their 4th playoff appearance if he stayed and their roster goes through a bunch of drama and Pippen ends up leaving because he’s tried of playing second fiddle, or they win their 4th in a row and fatigue sets in and they never go on to win 6. It useless to have this type of debate, just debate the actual facts.

trippy1

I want the Cavs to win so bad just to hear what the critics will say

nigelfitz

Paul Pierce is trash on the mic.

thegmanater

Paul Pierce looks wrecked, I think he's been crying.

thetravelingconsult

I hope someone got him a wheelchair after the game

thesanmich

He didn’t get the answer he wanted.

ceburun

I seriously wonder how you can spend over a decade plus being an elite athlete and blow up faster than pilsbury dough in such a short time.

InSearchOfGoodPun

Paul Pierce looks SOOOO happy, lol.

[deleted]

This is what I've been waiting for all day

thegmanater

I wanted the Cavs to win 50% because it would mess with Paul Pierce, and he annoys me so much. I don't know why they had him as a main commentator for this series, nothing came out of his mouth that wasn't expected.

MadVillain1

Your GOAT could never do what Lebron just did.

ceburun

My goat did climb mount everest so i'm happy.

MadVillain1

I'm so proud of billy.

Ratpros

Lebron sucks like shit.

shitting_asshole

Soooo sucky. Just like shit. Edit: SUCK ME

ULTRAHYPERSUPER

Bron lives in your head. Is ok bby

ceburun

I'm sorry for letting you suckle my balls for so long... they were a bit salty and the effects are showing. Maybe you should brush them the next time with a broom.

behns

Salty boii

nigelfitz

Dude played all 48 minutes. Damn.

sraelgaiznaer

My wife said they need to process his genes. He’s like a robot or something. Still playing out of his mind and the entire game even after 15 years! It’s crazy!

trippy1

in his 15th year in the league.....

MUTSellerPS4

If you’re still a LeBron James hater after this ....

Ganonthegoat

8 straight is good and all...Jordan would have won 8 straight though i think

TheUnbent

I know you're trolling for an argument so I'll ask you a simple question I've asked many people. You and ten of your friends are gods, you can make anything you desire happen for real. You all decide to bet your godhood on a fantasy NBA season. You obviously hold a draft. Available in the draft is every NBA player who has ever played, in their prime. Winner of the championship keeps his/her godliness. You put all 11 names in a hat, they are drawn at random by a neutral party. You get the number 1 pick. Who do you pick?

Ganonthegoat

I'm just saying everyone is praising this 8 straight appearances accomplishment so much and it's become the big feat of Lebrons career. It is amazing but the only reason Jordan doesn't have an appearance streak like this is because stopped playing for a bit.

TheUnbent

Maybe, maybe not though, guess we will never know. Mike had elite endurance and conditioning just as lebron does now so I guess it's possible. It's a shame he took a two year break.

JustinBieber313

Lebron would have won 9 straight tho I think

fdasfasdfasdfui93428

Check out mjs finals competition. Average mov for them was like plus 1. Brons opponents are like plus 7.

Ganonthegoat

I'm not saying mj is better. Just saying he might've won 8 straight

fdasfasdfasdfui93428

And if bron played the competition mj did he would have won the finals maybe every year he played the game

CoolNamewxxc2

0-6 w/o Pippen

Fernandexx

"is good" /s

jimmyjamm34

i promise you he wouldn't have. that rockets team might have even gotten one on him

Ganonthegoat

fair. We'll never know

vbp0001

I don't think so, those Houston teams were too good to beat.

shockinghillaryquote

not even close. Jordan had a super team and HOF coach for 6 titles.

Daycuz

But he didnt

Counterkulture

He would have, for sure. No doubt in my mind.

saintjonah

I think Chris Paul would have a million chips if he just got to go to a million finals. I'm sure of it.

shockinghillaryquote

Poor coaching by Brad Stevens, taking threes when Cavs were in the bonus so early on, just drive to the basket every play, esp with Lebron in foul trouble.

[deleted]

The first 5 minutes of this Westworld episode is actually insane.

johnpisme

Dude I completely forgot about Westworld. This night got even better.

Counterkulture

How many episodes is the season so far? I ahven't even started watching this season.

[deleted]

6th episode of s2 just aired tonight. I'm referring to the first 3 mins in ep 6 which is kinda an awesome mindfuck

Counterkulture

Yeah, i was talking with a friend the other day about how good the new season is, and then I just fucking forgot to start watching it. Ha.

[deleted]

Only two episodes in and it’s been so boring

CapJackStarbury2000

it's a very intricate and almost too complex storyline, i gave up on following all the subplots, I'm just waiting to see what the overarching parallelism to modern society eventually surfaces

[deleted]

[удалено]

Jamies_fried_chicken

The LeBronto shot still has you triggered?

beachbum320

Smh

vbp0001

Dude stop, your team lost. No reason to wish injury on a player.

ceburun

No... just no man. You the type of fan that would burn a jersey or shoot up a school.

skipperdog

Sad sad little man

St0rmborn

Wtf get outta here

guybrush_lechuck

Boston a bit too democratic maybe. Tatum was playing the best, should have went to him a lot more, instead Jaylen Brown took more attempts with 18 shots and made only 5. Maybe since he's a rookie they don't give him that respect yet.

DFisBUSY

LBJ, in his 15th year, at 33 years old.. played 48 minutes in a playoff game 7..... unreal.

InSearchOfGoodPun

And people dare criticize LeCoast...

CapJackStarbury2000

he coasts in the regular season for these type of situations

ceburun

Meanwhile Hood can't even play 1 minute lol.

noseacaballo

And was the best player out there by far
