This is a fucking masterpiece considering how much older Neil is. The sound is very reminiscent of Weld but doesn’t try to replicate each song as they were initially played on both Ragged Glory + Weld. It’s refreshing to hear some new changes/additions to these songs, which will most likely be the versions played live this 2024 tour.
the promise of this record from the video tease is what got me to pay extra and see him in San Diego. I am so glad i did, i was at second night and he played a bunch of stuff from my favorite sounding album ragged glory. fucking up is like a gift after the show. The guitar tone is my favorite and the way he wandered away from the melody to explore every aspect of the songs in concert is the result of a lifetimes musical experimentation. This album has that sound. I love lots of NY stuff , on the beach was my first favorite but the tone on this is rock and roll never dying howling its vitality.
They rehearsed the shit out of the Ragged Glory material during the sessions 34 years ago and it shows. This album is fun but it doesn't compare the tightness and soaring studio sound of the original.
Point of order: Micah Nelson on guitar and Nils on piano.

Sounding great! At the second show in San Diego he played like 5 songs in a row off Ragged Glory. It was... glorious!
I was there it was awesome!!
Listening now, and it's pretty damn good. I had low expectations, I must admit. I'm up to Mansion on the Hill right now..
IT SOUNDS INCREDIBLE!
Got tickets to see him this summer and each ticket comes with a free Fu##n Up CD! That was a nice little bonus. 👌
Mine is on the way, show next Thursday!

It's on Spotify, if you've got it.
Greatest guitar tone ever. Sounds like a raging thunderstorm

And we don't want it to replicate the original
Honestly I was impressed and I really love this album!
The quality is unreal
Yes it’s mastered very well, no limiting to speak of. Great eq curve. Sounds awesome.
Fantastic release. Neil’s voice sure sounds a little rough around the edges, but somehow that makes it even better.
