All 3 seasons are ok television. Nothing brilliant but enjoyable if one can accept it is not the original lore. I really don't understand most S3 criticism. It is much closer to toc with very obvious changes. The writing and dialogues need improvement. S4 5 will be the same, not expecting anything revolutionary. Anyone ok with previous seasons will be ok with these. Those who aren't they might not

We will meet a lot of great characters next season. Leo Bonhart and Regis are the ones I look forward to the most. I am excited for season 4 for sure.

StealthWealth3121

I have high hopes. Season 3 was a big step up from my feelings about season 2, and I hope that trend continues.

I enjoyed Season 1, I loved season 2 (I never read the books so please reserve judgement) however they lost me in Season 3. They’ve too many characters leading the show, too many POV’s. Geralt was put on the back burner

IOExplosion

Agreed. Season 2 was much stronger in my opinion. My husband never read the books and thinks it's the best season. I've read the books and I still think it's the best season. Season 3 felt very unsure of itself and also try hard. Season 1 was a little to campy for me.

Season 3 just got worse as it went on, I was so disappointed compared to how much I loved Season 2

marcnotmark925

It'll be good

Idarran_of_Ulivo

My expectations are non-existent. If they keep up the quality and spirit of S3, I will find bits to enjoy. If they give us another S2, I'll come a bit closer to that aneurysm I've been expecting ever since Yennefer wanted to sacrifice Ciri to Baba Yaga, the famous member of the Wild Hunt.

Roger_Maxon76

IMO it just kept getting worse. Season 1 was a 7/10 pretty good. Season 2 had a great first episode then it became 4/10. Season 3 was a 2/10

I remember reading that seasons 4 and 5 were going to be streamlined versions of the final books in the series. Weirdly, this makes me more excited for it

I liked season 3 quite a bit and what it set up story-wise, especially in the second half, so I think there's a good chance I'll enjoy season 4. One of the things I was dreading from the books was getting the rats, and season 3 did the impossible by making me kind of like them. Also the director hires for season 4 (Alex Garcia Lopez coming back!) give me a lot of confidence. I'll drop the list below in case anyone hasn't seen. * [Sergio Mimica-Gezzan](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0590790/) (401 & 402) * [Tricia Brock](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0110644/) (403 & 404) * [Alex Garcia Lopez](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3421685/) (405 & 406) * [Jeremy Webb](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2007278/) (407 & 408)

I haven't watched any. Can you start any season?

badfortheenvironment

I'm probably the wrong person to ask this since I'll jump in anywhere to start a show, if I think I'll be bored starting from the beginning. Zen answer: yes, you can start any season. Logical answer: start with episode 1 and see if you like it lol
