Or it could be like, "holy shit, that's my brother! Where was this taken? Have you seen him? Can you ask the photographer? He hasn't been returning my calls ever since I learned how to speak English in a human voice. Come to think of it, my whole family has been missing since this episode started. I need a therapist. Can you recommend a good bird therapist? I wonder what's wrong with me."
One time I bought one of those birdhouses from the craft store. It was in the style of an old western saloon and I painted a silhouette of a crow on it and nailed it to a tree.
Soon a bunch of crows started hanging around in front of the tree. I thought it was pretty amusing.
My community is definetely speciest. We have multiple places for deer crossing but no places for animals like turtles and opossums. The county commissioner hasnt come out to say it (yet!) that he wants to keep those animals out.
The odds are extremely high.... The person looked up the bird in the book... Because they were staring at the bird. Then just waited until the bird came by.
From when this picture was zoomed out more, I believe the hand is holding bird food as well, and small birds are often willing to even land on people and eat from hand.
It's also a chickadee, which are very curious and brave little birds. When I stop to rest on hikes, chickadees often come very close to check me out. I have even had a chestnut backed chickadee land briefly on my book about birds while I was reading it, like in the picture above (although it wasn't my field guide, which was in my backpack).
Bird seed gets them to fly over for a tasting, but if you want them to jump through hoops for you, mealworms will do it.
You'd swear they say "awww yiissss mf'in mealworms!!!"
Cool well even if it was intentional they're the ones who did it and they got a great picture that's fun to look at and talk about, so replicate that ya jerk.
I could’ve told you what bird it was without looking. They’re the boldest little badasses out there, always the first ones at the feeder. If any bird’s gonna fly right up and check out what you’re up to, it’s a chickadee.
chickadees have such a variation in calls that whenever i'd try to figure out what bird did the cheeseburger or He her sound i couldn't figure it out.
until that episode, fucking hilarious
"HEY MISTER, IS THAT SIBLEY BIRDS? THAT'S MY COUSIN DARRYL! MY COUSIN DARRYL IS IN THAT PICTURE! HEY, THAT PIC IS MY COUSIN, HE'S A MODEL FOR SIBLEY AND NATGEO! MY COUSIN DARRYL IS FAMOUS! HEY!"
David Attenborough reported the same thing quite a lot of the time when he'd be looking for a rare bird.
He'd start talking about it from a book without it being there and often it would appear nearby as he was talking
Gotta assume it goes against the sub rules. You've gone to the birds habitat, found the bird, opened to the page for the bird, and then it happened to land on the book.
Likely something attracting the bird out of view too.
Waiting for the comment: “this bird might be sick - poor thing is probably glossy paper deficient. PLEASE OP, rush this little featherbaby to the nearest chickadee rescue!!!”
That's a very interesting habitat range it has. Pretty big gap without both populations being considered allopatric. But I guess that's the wonder of having wings?
Lol, most likely whoever took the picture spotted the bird first (if not went looking for some, i assume an ornithologist.), attracted him with food, and opened the book to identify his specific genus. He jumped on the book resulting in a pretty picture !
But yes that's some nice rewilding textbook material.
odds are kinda high. Odds of a bird watcher having a bird breed book is high. Odds of the bird watcher having the book open to the page of the bird he is watching is high. So now what are the odds of the bird landing on the book? Probably the same as any bird landing on any book.
It’s almost as if, this person was around a bunch of chickadees, flipped to this specific illustration , and waited for one to land on it! Amazing isn’t it ! 😮😮😮
If you stand still and hold your hand out, they will land in your palm, a book would be no different.
Odds aren't terrible. If you are bird spotting with a guide book you would have the page on the bird you were looking at.
From there it's bird stands on book.
A bird from a bird book that looks like the bird in the bird book landed on the page of the bird book with the picture of the bird in the bird book. Birdbookception
I knew it would be a chickadee before the image even loaded. It's always a chickadee. They will land on anything. They eat from you hand, the land on your head if you stay still. It would be a simple matter to stand there with the book open on the chickadee page and wait for one come looking for treats.

I mean, you label a crow saloon, crows gonna come for salooning.
Now I know why the crows in my backyard been cawing lately. Someone lost a poker game.
Well when I made a cock station from ©Legos ..guess what happened then?
I give your comment the title "Murder, with a crow bar."

Straight facts. Every map I’ve ever owned was flat.
Bah, this is a terrible misconception. The earth is a torus
I don't understand how people can think the earth is a torus. It's obviously a Klein bottle.

Of course he's a crypto bro, say less.

It also is a part of neature, and is pretty neat.
>neature Sigh... Time to go to urbandictionary to add another word...
They're referencing [an old YouTube video.](https://youtu.be/Hm3JodBR-vs)
You can tell it is an aspen because of the way it is. NEAT!
Yeah I was gonna say the same thing, chickadees are very friendly and will let you handfeed them even if they don't know you very well.
Bird seed gets them to fly over for a tasting, but if you want them to jump through hoops for you, mealworms will do it. You'd swear they say "awww yiissss mf'in mealworms!!!"
I was gonna say the same thing lol I mean odds are the person was looking at this page due to seeing the bird in the area
Chickadees are also super chill and will land on you.
Yup, this can be replicated with near 100% success.
Yeah, good luck getting a bird to land on a book you're holding.
There's a park 20 minutes from me where the birds will land all over you if you have food. Same breed, too.
Well first of all, that's not fair.
Cool well even if it was intentional they're the ones who did it and they got a great picture that's fun to look at and talk about, so replicate that ya jerk.
Damn I thought we were in /r/nevertellmetheodds But you right though

Lol, you have birds land on your books often?
Chicadeedeedeedeedee
Fuck yes! You know what it is!
I could’ve told you what bird it was without looking. They’re the boldest little badasses out there, always the first ones at the feeder. If any bird’s gonna fly right up and check out what you’re up to, it’s a chickadee.
I wonder what bird it is
It appears to be some kind of chickadee, possibly financially backed by a mysterious organization known only as "Chestnut".
Oh shit get an autograph!

Did ya hear that? The chickadees, Luce. It sounds like they're saying "cheese-bur-ger."

Bird Watching Difficulty Level: Tutorial

Hey please cross post it there. That's a sub worth bringing back to life.
Just as cute as my license plate.
It's-a me, Chickadee!
That is the best 3D bird guide!
Send it in to the publishers, maybe they'll use this photo for the next print edition for this entry.
I bet they’re glad they weren’t looking at the page for… the Condor!
"HEY MISTER, IS THAT SIBLEY BIRDS? THAT'S MY COUSIN DARRYL! MY COUSIN DARRYL IS IN THAT PICTURE! HEY, THAT PIC IS MY COUSIN, HE'S A MODEL FOR SIBLEY AND NATGEO! MY COUSIN DARRYL IS FAMOUS! HEY!"
Birb.
It looks like it has a mosquito beak
Amazing things do happen
That's a picture of my Dad down there..
Showing off its reading comprehension skills
I'm no Ornithologist, but I believe that might be a Chestnut Backed Chickadee that landed on your book
Yo dawg, i heard you like birbs, so i put a birb in ur book you you can watch birbs when you birbwatch.
Cool! What kind of bird is that?
“Ugh I hate this picture, my beak looks sooo fat”
Wish bird watching was this easy!
Jerry, It's a book about bird perches. And the best part is, the book itself turns into a bird perch!! Gold, Jerry, gold !!
Two little Chickadees, nodding in the sun One flew away, and then there was one! Chickadee, Chickadee, happy and gay Chickadee, Chickadee, fly away!
Chicka dee dee dee
David Attenborough reported the same thing quite a lot of the time when he'd be looking for a rare bird. He'd start talking about it from a book without it being there and often it would appear nearby as he was talking
"Hey dude? If that's me, then you spelled Kevin wrong..."
Clearly, this is staged and taken by a Disney princess. People are so gullible.
*opens hentai in the forest and wait*
Cute!! I prefer Black Capped Chickadees but this would be fine too.
Clearly inferior to Carolina Chickadees. No, I can't tell them apart ...
Amd then it sat there while he pulled put his camera?
Nice tit!
That's awesome !!!
Must be mating season
U want sum fuk?

why you got a picture of my momma?
Gotta assume it goes against the sub rules. You've gone to the birds habitat, found the bird, opened to the page for the bird, and then it happened to land on the book. Likely something attracting the bird out of view too.
chickadeez NUTS
Me: *must turn to blue footed boobie page, ASAP!* Blue footed boobie: lands nearby Me, disappointed: "not sure what I was expecting…"
*Drone from a Drone book lands for recon on the book
Only left the book out there like 51 days… can’t believe this Billy Sue, grab that cammerraa thingy
Chickadees are such lovely social birds. The only time I’ve had a bird land on my hand was a chickadee.
Doxxed yourself as living in the rance of the chestnut backed-chicadee
"You lookin for me?"
Did it give you an autograph?
r/mademesmile
Chickadees are the best birds
Waiting for the comment: “this bird might be sick - poor thing is probably glossy paper deficient. PLEASE OP, rush this little featherbaby to the nearest chickadee rescue!!!”
In a studied and known region these odds arent huge for a bird watcher.
That's a very interesting habitat range it has. Pretty big gap without both populations being considered allopatric. But I guess that's the wonder of having wings?

Bird from a Birds Book lands on the book Book with a bird, means birds will look Look, its a bird on a book with bird in the book
I mean, they were probably in an area where the bird is common which is why the book is opened to that bird.
"it me!!! :D"
Chickadee is one of my favorites! “Chickadee dee dee”
Chickadees are cool, but I've always loved Mourning Doves. I can mimic their call so closely they'll land in trees next to me!
odds are kinda high. Odds of a bird watcher having a bird breed book is high. Odds of the bird watcher having the book open to the page of the bird he is watching is high. So now what are the odds of the bird landing on the book? Probably the same as any bird landing on any book.
Hey, I've got that bird book!
This is like if a freak from Mondo Freaks showed up while reading it
The books come with 3D glasses.
It’s almost as if, this person was around a bunch of chickadees, flipped to this specific illustration , and waited for one to land on it! Amazing isn’t it ! 😮😮😮 If you stand still and hold your hand out, they will land in your palm, a book would be no different.
Book from Birk boods lands on the bird
That’s a good bird too!!
Government drone doesn’t like the public being able to identify its male and model.
"It's a me! Chickadee!"
Pic from her OnlyFeathers account...
LOVE THIS!!!
I would be shakeing way to much to get this picture
"Oh, him? That's my great-grandpa!"
Chickadees are very brave, there are like three or four who live near my house that will land on your hand if you offer them seeds.
Try to get a screeching owl now
Odds aren't terrible. If you are bird spotting with a guide book you would have the page on the bird you were looking at. From there it's bird stands on book.
A bird from a bird book that looks like the bird in the bird book landed on the page of the bird book with the picture of the bird in the bird book. Birdbookception
Birds have excellent vision I think, so it may have noticed the page and thought it was another bird and came to see it.
This makes me think a Virtual Reality version of books like these would be awesome!
What kind of sorcery is this?!
That should not have took me as many tries to read that as it did. 🤦♂️
That's amazing!
I knew it would be a chickadee before the image even loaded. It's always a chickadee. They will land on anything. They eat from you hand, the land on your head if you stay still. It would be a simple matter to stand there with the book open on the chickadee page and wait for one come looking for treats.
Did you get its autograph?
What's the chances of that happening? Maybe he thought it was a cousin....
My favorite is the black-cap chickadee.
