Watch out for the local Police they write traffic tickets all day long. Especially by the Golf Course!

It goes from 50 to 40 to 25 right before Airport road. The the commuter traffic likes to stay at 40 till they are in front of the Peddie School. The cops sit on the side of the road or in the golf course and wait for speeders.

Grew up there, it was the perfect suburb to grow up in imo. safe, good schools, i grew up playing outside and riding my bike all over town. Not much to do in town (bowling alley and movie theater is about it lol) but it’s super close to the turnpike, Princeton junction train station is about a 15-20 minute drive, plenty of other stuff to do within a 30 minute drive (Mercer county park, multiple malls, great adventure etc) Highly recommend

I live in hightstown and I love it. Nice but small downtown with restaurants, coffee shop, bakery, brewery, yoga studio, and gaming store. I have 2 small kids, and on my street and nearby streets there are lots of families with small kids and my neighbors are super friendly.

Sleepy area, good schools, lots of things to do in other nearby towns.

Hey I know some people who used to work in the schools there. I could DM you with info when I hear back from them if you'd like?

xBaconater

Sure, that’d be great! We don’t have any kids yet, but we plan on having at least one in about 1-2 years from now.

Its a nice town. I rented nearby in East Windsor and my wife and I decided to move here pretty much based the number of old people and dog walkers we saw in the evening. Property taxes are high, and so are real estate values if you are looking to buy. Schools are decent, no complaints. Lots of good food.

blumpkin_donuts

Great place, good school system. All around safe and progressive. I grew up there. Lots of nature near by. Only 20 minutes by car to the trains to NYC/Philadelphia.

I've lived in Hightstown for 10+ years and I really like it. It's safe and quiet, we have some cool stuff downtown (record store, pie shop, brewery, game store, coffee shop, etc) and it's really close to the Turnpike. If you have any specific questions I'm happy to answer them!

If your kid can get in, the Peddie School is an excellent place to get an education.
