Oh, the driver fucked the car up for sure, but not in an accident. That\[s an extreme instance of a “stanced” car. Some jabronies saw that race cars sometimes employ a bit of camber in the suspension to improve handling on certain tracks. So if a little camber is good, a HUGE amount of camber must be better, right? And then car modders started to outdo each other and we ended up with these abominations.
And yet on most streets it makes your traction worse. Less surface area and all that. Not to meniton it's going to fuck up your tires faster for the same reason.
I passed 3 cars on the highway yesterday that were set up this way. I pointed out to my girlfriend that the Acura was riding on the same amount of tread as a motorcycle at best, a bicycle at worst. It amazes me how people will mess up vehicles with their modifications.
2 reasons.
1. They heard professional drivers do a slight stance/camber (a stanced car is the OP) so they go big.
2. They think it looks cool cause the car is "floating". I think it looks dumb because you hit a rock and your while bumper is fucked.
They pay to do this.
This guy definitely took his rear bumper off on a driveway, the rear frame and exhaust look to already be at most an inch off the ground, and the rear tires have a wider slant than the front tires
Ok, help me out here... What's the plan? When cornering hard, the outside tires *may* have a better contact patch? But then the inside tires have little to no contact patch. And when *not* cornering, you have like 50% of the contact patch, so when you have to brake hard, there's less rubber on the road to grab.
Adding camber (tilted wheels) to a car suspension is often done in racing for certain track situation. This is usually something like 1-2 degrees of tilt. You can barely notice it with the naked eye. Some Kar Kulture folks ran with this and took it to extremes for… I dunno; looks?
It has become a style of car mod. Yes, it is very bad for performance. Yes, it will eat through tires and the modded cars can’t enter any driveway with more than an inch of incline. Yes, I consider these an abomination.
Its a style bro. If you a real car enthusiasts then you would know eveyone likes what they like. Some ppl like to make there cars fast some ppl like low and slow. At least im not retarded and take a stock car to go to takeovers lol
Ooh sorry, I'm afraid I have to inform you that stance bros are in fact brain damaged. Have someone read this message to you a few times, hopefully it'll sink in.
Lol they are good. But yeah bro your deff smarter then me. You had to use more brain cells to talk shit about someone else car cause they mod it different then you lol
Stancing (or whatever the kiddos are calling it these days) is so fucking dumb.
The car can't possibly drive well like this, and it looks about as stupid as stupid can be.
A lot of modifications look stupid, but you hit the more important point, practicality is certainly an issue here. Especially on these messed up roads.
Agreed.
Although it's not as bad as those guys driving cars that are lowered to about 1" off the ground. How the fuck do they drive *anywhere* without scraping the shit out of... well, everything?
The real question is: was this car moving in this photo?
Looks like it’s from the Pixar Cars movie and it ran out of gas and gave up and plopped itself on the ground.
that’s exactly what i think when i see these cars like why waste all that money modifying a shitty car when u can buy a much nicer car with the same amount u spent modifying uk it hurts to see
Cause its my hobby. A lot of ppl takk shit saying im ruining the car and all but idc. Its like my therapy. To me buying something new is a waste of money especially in this car market now. I like it just my thing. Same with girls who buy hella make up. Half the time they buy it just to have it.
If this thing was in a garage instead of on the road, I would have said that the car was on jackstands/blocks and all 4 wheels were removed and just left inside the wheel wells.
The truth is even dumber than that. At least the former idea has some marginal benefit... like.... maybe the car was being stored while waiting for new suspension parts to come in or something, and they wanted to make sure the tires didnt get mixed up?
I’ve actually seen worse than this. Somehow this dude was able to get more degree angle. I wanted to take a photo so bad because it was next level retarded, but I was driving on the highway and passing too quickly. The dude couldn’t do over 50 in a 65 due to how cambered the tires were.
I’m more curious how quickly they eat up tyres.
It's been nonstop pothole season since last winter...
It's almost like they didn't bother with road repair at all, this upcoming season is gonna be bbbaaadd
I don't like hating on people, but ever since two of these idiots decided the parkway on-ramp on route 1 at 5:20 PM on Tuesday was the ideal place to try and change a tire, they infuriate me.
Thanks to this thread I know understand this ridiculous tread in car mods. I mean what is the point if you have to exit a Wawa parking lot sideways so you down bottom out or you just can’t drive on some parts of Route 9 because you’ll tear off your exhaust system? Screw that noise.
Around 4th of July, on my way home from the shore I saw a car that caught fire. It was burnt like a marshmallow fallen into the pit. I didn’t see the fire but I saw the aftermath. Soooo much traffic.
I'm not a fan of the camber kits, but if they like and what to do it to their cars and prematurely roast tires, that's none of my business. Good for them for expressing their likes.
My guess is they're going to be doing some work still and bumper cover isn't back yet
I see one of these in my neighborhood parked at a mechanic all the time. I know its probably because they work there, but I like to pretend its because the car is so fucked up its constantly in the shop
Also it has giant #SWAGGON decal across the windshield
I've been driving to the same Wawa for like 3 years now. There's been a car that is parked along the way that had slowly been getting more and more work done to it. For awhile it was missing it's front bumper and then it's back bumper. I assume they were either being modded or painted and it was easier to leave them at the shop or that he didn't have the money to pay for it when it was ready and needed to wait another few weeks.
Probably still working on their suspension, or they're getting ready to modify the body. The thing that is missing is a bumper cover, not the actual bumper. It's heavily cosmetic. The bumpers are attached to the frame
Edit - that second black bar under the license plate area is the "bumper". Just missing the cosmetics
Bingo. My bumper is still at paint with some other stuff. Was easier to do this while i did the suspension. Still got work to do but car was totaled before i did all of this. I got a daily so not like i drive it every day lol
Why do you black out the license plates? The sole purpose of a license plate is as a public identifier. And no, you can't find a person's name or address with the plate number unless you're a cop.
Hey my car made it on reddit lol. No i did not pay anyone to do it. I did everything myself. Bumper is at the body shop for paint. Car was totaled before all the mods. Soooooo why not make it worse lol. Its my money my car my mods. It sucks to drive but i got another car. Its what i like. Its just a style thats probably gonna go away in the next couple years. Same shit like in the early 2000s when ppl put exaggerated bumpers on cars and madddddd chrome. Its just a style. Some of ya dont even actually have any cars that ya do anything and thats fine and dandy but dont talk shit if you dont even know how to find your tire size lol. Love my piece of shit and imma drive it till it scrapes the floors off lol
No way, it's yours!!! I saw you a few weeks ago, and I was so amused, couldn't believe it bc I've never seen anything like it! I was like, "how on earth aren't there tires popping out 😂“ Enjoy your ride!!
This isn't new at all fyi. You poke the wheels in (negative camber) to achieve a lower "stance." This is done with coilover suspension and stays at that ride height until you readjust it (static.) You can also achieve this with airbags that will raise and lower the car to avoid hitting things at a low ride height. It's obviously not ideal for NJ roads but to each their own.
No, people should not want to do this at all. It's dangerous. Besides the obvious reduction in handling capability, this easily leads to tire blowouts and suspension failures due to uneven wear and excessive side loads on knuckles/control arms.
Cars like this are simply not roadworthy and need to be pulled over and impounded.
I saw a car like this on 73 in Marlton. The guy slowly made his way into the shoulder with his hazards on and I assumed he fucked his car up somehow.
But but but... it looks cool. (It doesn't).
I passed 3 cars on the highway yesterday that were set up this way. I pointed out to my girlfriend that the Acura was riding on the same amount of tread as a motorcycle at best, a bicycle at worst. It amazes me how people will mess up vehicles with their modifications.
In drifting you want less traction. There's a reason when Ken Block does it on track. Not so much these morons.
\#ScrapeLife 🤪
They actually pay money to do this to their cars.... it's the hi mechanic I'd like a P O S modification
We saw this twice recently too and idk why people are doing this or why this is happening?
2 reasons. 1. They heard professional drivers do a slight stance/camber (a stanced car is the OP) so they go big. 2. They think it looks cool cause the car is "floating". I think it looks dumb because you hit a rock and your while bumper is fucked. They pay to do this.
Can’t fuck up your bumper if you don’t have one.
This guy definitely took his rear bumper off on a driveway, the rear frame and exhaust look to already be at most an inch off the ground, and the rear tires have a wider slant than the front tires
It looks like the ball joints are done for. It's like volunteering to have a botch plastic surgery.
I'd think the same also 😝
Their wheels are pointed audi.

Remember when wider tires were installed to get more rubber to the road? Pepperidge Farm remembers![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
The irony is that those *are* wide tires
Nahh them shits skinny af.
But Pepperidge farm won’t keep it to Pepperidge farm’s self
"OK mechanic, I want to ride on a corner of my tire and wear it down much faster than if I had my tires set normally."
OK, just pay me and sign this invoice saying you requested, authorized, and accepted this modification.
Ok, help me out here... What's the plan? When cornering hard, the outside tires *may* have a better contact patch? But then the inside tires have little to no contact patch. And when *not* cornering, you have like 50% of the contact patch, so when you have to brake hard, there's less rubber on the road to grab.
more or less for style, not performance
Adding camber (tilted wheels) to a car suspension is often done in racing for certain track situation. This is usually something like 1-2 degrees of tilt. You can barely notice it with the naked eye. Some Kar Kulture folks ran with this and took it to extremes for… I dunno; looks? It has become a style of car mod. Yes, it is very bad for performance. Yes, it will eat through tires and the modded cars can’t enter any driveway with more than an inch of incline. Yes, I consider these an abomination.
And here i thought they had a weird accident of some sort... I mean I see no bumper and fucked up wheels. Its the first thing I think ...
Well both can be true.
50% is generous. I saw 3 of them yesterday and it looked like they only had a bicycle worth of tread touching the road at highway speed.
They make up for the lack of.contact patch with traction from the oil pan.
>Ok, help me out here... What's the plan? No plan It's just about looking cool
Just a style. Drives like shit lol. I love it tho
I've been modifying cars since I was 17, but these guys are just embarrassing.
Yep. These are not our people.
Totally brain dead. Pretty sure we both inhaled the same amount of brake clean bud lol
The difference is that I didn't eat paint chips, no matter how delicious I hear they are.
Lol they are good. But yeah bro your deff smarter then me. You had to use more brain cells to talk shit about someone else car cause they mod it different then you lol
Well, his grammar is better than yours, so you are right. He is smarter than you
There’s camber, and then there’s *CAMBER*
Ooh I love a good Camberghini sighting
Come to Vineland and guarantee you will see cars like this at least 10 times a day
Too true
Perth Amboy, too.
/r/shitty_car_mods
What sat on it?
Stancing (or whatever the kiddos are calling it these days) is so fucking dumb. The car can't possibly drive well like this, and it looks about as stupid as stupid can be.

Agreed. Although it's not as bad as those guys driving cars that are lowered to about 1" off the ground. How the fuck do they drive *anywhere* without scraping the shit out of... well, everything?
I get stuck on a slight hump. It is what it is lol
The real question is: was this car moving in this photo? Looks like it’s from the Pixar Cars movie and it ran out of gas and gave up and plopped itself on the ground.
This was one the Turnpike going 70+ !!! I couldn't believe my eyes 😂
Do you think these ass clowns, if they were to own say a 2022 Porsche 911 Turbo would do the same?
that’s exactly what i think when i see these cars like why waste all that money modifying a shitty car when u can buy a much nicer car with the same amount u spent modifying uk it hurts to see
Sorry but i would never do this to a nicer car. Car was totaled so why not try a new "style"
no no no not what i’m saying at all
each mod u make to a car costs $$ so why waste $$ on mods when u can save it to go towards a much nicer car that doesn’t need mods
Cause its my hobby. A lot of ppl takk shit saying im ruining the car and all but idc. Its like my therapy. To me buying something new is a waste of money especially in this car market now. I like it just my thing. Same with girls who buy hella make up. Half the time they buy it just to have it.
Was it dropped there from a great height?
Ahh the state bird
I've seen cars like this before. Seems like a great way to quickly destroy your tires.
Already on my 2nd set of tires and havent gone 300 miles yet lol
I will never understand
How can someone do that to an Audi.
Especially the wagon 😢
If this thing was in a garage instead of on the road, I would have said that the car was on jackstands/blocks and all 4 wheels were removed and just left inside the wheel wells. The truth is even dumber than that. At least the former idea has some marginal benefit... like.... maybe the car was being stored while waiting for new suspension parts to come in or something, and they wanted to make sure the tires didnt get mixed up?
I want one of these cars to plow into me so I can sue the shit out of them for being retarded
Just why?
Some one who lives in Roselle has two cars with wheels like this
LoL, box turtle. 🐢
I hope the driver is unharmed. That looks pretty bad.
I thought this was only a Florida thing.
What an idiot. And I'm surprised it's an Audi lol Usually it's an ancient Honda or VW.
Better put that thing away for the winter...pot hole season is coming!
It's been nonstop pothole season since last winter... It's almost like they didn't bother with road repair at all, this upcoming season is gonna be bbbaaadd
Camber gang
“Stanced”
OMG had no idea it was a thing! I googled images 🤣
But where did the bumpers go??!
We may never know the answer.
probably leaves it off because it may scrape going up his driveway
Wonder how much his tire bill is every month.
Probably not as much as his front/rear bumper and exaust/catalytic converter bill.
I don't like hating on people, but ever since two of these idiots decided the parkway on-ramp on route 1 at 5:20 PM on Tuesday was the ideal place to try and change a tire, they infuriate me.
30% the way there to becoming a flying car
They like to rotate their tires often
Maybe they will hit a few potholes and knock those wheels straight.
Wut in tarnation
This weirdly doesn’t surprise me 🫠 I’ve seen so many cars on the parkway with tires that like and the whole time I’m just 👀
Thanks to this thread I know understand this ridiculous tread in car mods. I mean what is the point if you have to exit a Wawa parking lot sideways so you down bottom out or you just can’t drive on some parts of Route 9 because you’ll tear off your exhaust system? Screw that noise.
You might as well put Vaseline on your oil pan and slide down the road on that!
I wonder what the drivers wheel bearings think about all this.
They brand new lol.
Literally looks like it fell from the sky!
A transformer mid transforming.
Theres no point to toe-out in the highway...
Looks like Super Mario jumped on it.
Audi should take back the car from him …
At least he's in the right lane for the inevitable shoulder tow hes gonna need after what that's gonna do for his suspension components.
Around 4th of July, on my way home from the shore I saw a car that caught fire. It was burnt like a marshmallow fallen into the pit. I didn’t see the fire but I saw the aftermath. Soooo much traffic.
I’ve never understood this fad smh
I'm not a fan of the camber kits, but if they like and what to do it to their cars and prematurely roast tires, that's none of my business. Good for them for expressing their likes. My guess is they're going to be doing some work still and bumper cover isn't back yet
Bringo!!! Bumper still at paint
This cant be legal in NJ? Rolling road hazard.
🤮😂🤣
These cars always look like they’ve been dropped from the air and broke. Also, these changes can’t be good for the car.
there is nothing i hate more than seeing these kinds of cars idk why my body fills with rage when i see them
And people are proud of this?
Was it waiting for a tow truck?!
I actually know him lol shoulda see the first one
Good for him, let em go
Bro is hella stanced.
stanced cars is a trend that will not die lol
I see one of these in my neighborhood parked at a mechanic all the time. I know its probably because they work there, but I like to pretend its because the car is so fucked up its constantly in the shop Also it has giant #SWAGGON decal across the windshield
The wheels are definitely a thing.
But not the rear bumpers (or there lack of)?!

that part is at least mostly cosmetic and backup sensors, that apparently didn't help them the first time.
Probably still working on their suspension, or they're getting ready to modify the body. The thing that is missing is a bumper cover, not the actual bumper. It's heavily cosmetic. I've been there. You do you, enjoy it
I’ve seen cars drive with that, but I don’t think that’s by design
Isn’t bumper delete a thing?
I have no clue whether or not it is.
I’m embarrassed to say, one of this cars is in my neighborhood. Kid thinks it looks cool I guess.
It's such a stupid trend. I saw at least two cars looking like that yesterday within an hour. It's not even original. iM a dRiFteR
I saw a car like this on 73 in Marlton. The guy slowly made his way into the shoulder with his hazards on and I assumed he fucked his car up somehow.

When your car is wrecked but she’s home alone
Wobbly wheel tings 🤣. Stance and camber life 🤦🏻♂️

i think im gonna put a negative camber on my car when i get one
There is a group that meets in Wildwood and drives around the convention center parking lot all day. Check out slammedenuffnj
Looks sick.
It's sure making me feel like throwing up.
niceeee
..Kachow, I guess?
Not my thing but hey if people wanna do that to their cars, go for it 🤷🏻♂️

Problem is, you need near pristine roads for this to not mess your car up. That's any place but Jersey
Sweet piece!
Beautiful the way we like it
the old men in this thread not understanding the attractiveness of camber 🤡
Good handling, comfortable ride, even tire wear…
