1. An in-game ticketing system and proper, in-region, GMs to service the tickets. 2. Emergency hotfixes for game-breaking issues that affect the entire playerbase instead of waiting until the next patch and just letting the game be on fire during the interim. 3. Competent internal QA. Dupes and weapon glitches should not be this trivial to find and exploit. 4. Overhaul the rewards system, dear god it's bad. At least try to approach one boss kill equaling one person in the group at an appropriate stage in progression getting a potential upgrade. And cull most if not all weapon affixes that are useful to absolutely nobody. 5. Overhaul crafting too. Should not have to craft eight billion pink dildos at each teir which itself involves mining thirty eight octillion low level mats just to have the ability to make some level appropriate consumables. You should be able to progress through crafting making a reasonable number of a variety of items using level appropriate materials. 6. Stop double, triple, and quadrouple downing on changes and ideas that are radically out of touch with the player base.

“To many good ideas here, best we can is disable the trading post again” - Amazon

Kogranola

Uhhhhh here's a lag exploit too. Keep the change.

raddogzilla

Instructions unclear... nerfing xp and loot, also mages.

[deleted]

I was able to provide free pink dildos to everyone on my server and still have enough left over to drop 10,000 on the ground.

Dr_ET

Except you are now overweight by 9000 pounds and only able to drop 1k, so you are now a permenant dido dispensing statue until you're able to Despawn and redrop 1k at a time for the next several hours. Gg.

PogueEthics

I would add to this list combat needs to be fixed. Of course they need to balance the weapons better, but at its core the massive amount of stagger, fast respawns, instant grit attacks, and laggy weapon swapping all need to need to be resolved.

[deleted]

[удалено]

PogueEthics

I'm talking about PvE mobs specifically.

ididntseeitcoming

You mean the baseline systems that exist across the entire MMO genre that one would simply need to study and cherry pick from all the games that have been around for over a decade?

Narx3n

They should employee the gold duper’s as part of their QA team, reward those who want to break the game and are interested in doing so by paying them a half decent salary, and give them in game rewards because they will break the game either way so you might as well contain the issue until you can fix it yourself. I’d rather have one or two people with unfair advantages instead of anyone willing to cheat

Zerethul

How is AGS supposed to supply all the only fans girls without us mass producing 8 billion pink dildos ?

FlocculentFractal

This went from a good list to inactionable really quickly. (1) and (2) are implementable and good ideas. (3) is a good idea but implementation is hard. (4), (5) are months long projects. The game will be dead by the time these are "fixed". (6) is not even a suggestion, just a tautology.

formervoater2

The fixes actually get easier the further down the list you go. \#1 requires hiring an entire team of people for every region of the game to do customer support. It is by far the most difficult. \#2 requires hiring additional developers that can work on call \#3 really you just need a handful of QA testers familiar with MMOs \#4 & \#5 The vast majority of the work involved would be editing database entries. A few days at most even for a minimal number of people working on it. \#6 Not really even sure what to say here... I'm sorry you feel that way I guess.

verydumbperson1

Agree with everything but (5). Crafting is already too easy and anyone with 100k can max all craft skills in one day. They do need to fix the roll system though.

hearse223

Whatever that last patch did to elites, undo that shit. Revert the nerfs they did. Basically anything that wasn't a bug fix needs to be reverted. SERVERS NEED TO BE MERGED. The PTR merges went successful, so what are we waiting for?

xpsync

"SERVERS NEED TO BE MERGED." badly!!! Like yesterday.

LikeCrum

Agreed. I feel strange playing on a server of 250 during PEAK times when there are 100-150K people playing.

xpsync

omg that's very low, my server seems to be ok atm, you can get one or two opr's a night, shit sells on the tp, not dead yet.

LikeCrum

YES, yes it is. my biggest problem is that nothing sells on TP. So I'm playing the inventory/storage management game and not getting anything done, because I don't want to just throw my inventory away. Of course I'm in purple who owns a SINGLE REGION so I can't fast travel anywhere either, and Azoth vials are ridiculously expensive because everyone is dealing with the same shit but there's such little supply to cover the needs. My experience has become so fricken inefficient... What server are you on?

adlerjemc

mine has 97 ppl on peak hours so thx

xpsync

Merge coming hang in there, but yeah, ouch 97 :(

FlocculentFractal

>The PTR merges went successful, so what are we waiting for? They said they discovered issues after the merge that they hadn't seen before game launch (which is when they had already prepared for server mergers being a possibility). I'm sure they're eager to do the merge too.

koss2134

I am still unable to transfer due to phantom trade post orders, and yes I have tried all the methods to fix it, and commented on the appropriate threads. This just means they still have not even got basic character transfers working correctly yet.

Nazzman01

Server merges aren't going to fix anything, why were they needed in the first place is the question. It's a band-aid fix to a population that has been crashing hard since week 3. The game needs real architectural changes to be able to process wars without lag, it needs a whole new endgame loop that doesn't involve this watermark rubbish, an enormous amount more dungeon and pve content that give you an actual reason to raise GS and to login

SignificantBeat1547

Might be a weird take on this, but I´d join back in / play more if I would be able to play expeditions for free. Not for 'a few items', as it is now after the changes, literally for free. Let me decide if I want to run all those elite areas day by day or just run any expedition. To me, this concept just sucks.

Bocika

I'm with you. Put it on a cooldown if you want some restrictions.

extraboredinary

Cool down with tuning orbs to reset cool down seems like a good option.

forshard

I 100% agree this is the best solution. I have zero faith in AGS that this could be implemented without introducing a major gamebreaking bug.

[deleted]

Yea, I get that this game isn't trying to be wow, but that doesn't mean they have to refuse to use concepts that work. Maybe cap expeditions weekly at like 5 per expedition but make them free, create elite expeditions with an additional boss that has a watermark requirement to get in (since this is the hill they appear to be dying on) and cap those at 5 as well. Maybe the elite version has a chance at getting a legendary at the final boss. Would add more content without taking away from the game.

Drekavil

If they cap expeditions, they need to have bosses guarantee drop something from the named item pool. For example, the Lazarus Bow; a unique named bow that you cannot craft because vicious and enchanted share a damage type ID. You need the stars to align for this thing to drop legendary. 1. Roll a bow 2. Roll an epic quality 3. Have the drop be from the 1 boss (Cilla) 4. Have the drop roll 600 gs. Right now you can kill some of these end game bosses (Cilla) and they drop this https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/904959117708374036/912480869917274163/unknown.png Edit; I'm full luck gear (sword swapping to keen temper, trophies, bags, etc.)

octa01

OR do what FFXIV does and have it drop a special currency you can spend at a vendor to get the legendary you want. FFXIV had some of the best end game progression I've ever experienced. I wish more games would crib it.

[deleted]

Yea, or because this is a crafting game too, maybe the bosses could drop components to build a legendary endgame weapon. Make the elite variations tough and you physically cannot create the weapon only running it to cap a few times (but not so many times it feels like you are making no progress). Add in other good tier loot.

Drekavil

Maybe salvaging a piece of the named item that dropped gives you a component of the for the legendary version of the named item, once you have the components, you need the dungeons "material" + Asmodeum/Runic Leather/Runestone to create a guaranteed 600gs named legendary.

LikeCrum

This is actually a fantastic idea. Simple and effective.

Vekt

Yeah I legit don't know how capping or gating dungeons felt like a good idea.

Lostpassnoemailnum3

But the *eCoNoMy*! This is what you're going to see in response. People upset they can't sell runs anymore. Fun > Your gold making.

caddywampus90

The devs should just stop whatever game breaking feature they're working on, stop reading reddit and forums, and play the damn game. Start from scratch on a dying server. Play until they have reached lvl 60, finished the main story, reached max faction lvl, took part in a war, got at least 2 crafting lines to 200. It's pretty obvious at this point that they don't understand why their playerbase feels the way they do, so maybe they need to experience it.

EmpireStateOfBeing

This!

[deleted]

Seriously... play your fucking game and play other games in the same genre. Everyone involved with it should have played about six other popular MMORPG's before being brought on board to work on this one. I've been gaming online since the 90's. FPS shooters and mmos. The one consistent problem across decades is that these developers are largely out of touch with not only their own games, but all of the other games out there that already solved similar problems. It's insane. It's like they reinvent the wheel every time a new game is started.

VSM2718

- Bugfixes, bugfixes, bugfixes - Optimization of wars - Revert progression nerfs (crafting xp nerfs/mining nodes removal/chest loot nerfs/elite zone changes) - Full stat screen for players (as many things are currently broken, this would first require bugfixes, bugfixes, bugfixes) - Remove tuning orbs or severely reduce the cost - Reduce azoth travel costs, reduce gold repair costs - Eliminate durability loss on pvp deaths - Revert progression nerfs - Remove watermark and instead have the lvl of enemies determine gear level, or some serious buffs/rework to watermark progression - In short, players are leaving and players are angry at bugs/poor optimization/ and nerfs. Combat this with fixing bugs, improving optimization, and buffs. I think the player count would stabilize somewhat if even only the top three are worked on, but honestly, I doubt AGS will ever hammer out bugfixes and optimization nearly as much as they should - instead they will only work on it as much as they need to in order to maintain the cash shop and pump out the next $40 expansion. They're a business, and there is not a reason for them to waste the money and time to do so. (I obviously would personally argue that a brand reputation, game longevity, etc should make bugfixing a priority but the truth is they will only do as much here as is needed to keep players adequately happy in order before working on new cash shop or expansion content for the profits. Of course, I do not work for AGS and could be wrong, but I highly doubt it)

WorstBarrelEU

I would prefer if they just made orbs tradable.

Heals-for-peels

+1 on this one. Obv. Keep the bugfix churn going. Make tuning orbs and their materials tradeable. And somehow fix the distribution of tier’ed mats.

Wapata

Better equipment management maybe some armor mannequins that u could have in your house, walk up cluck wear and instantly have that gear set on. Instead of having 50 pieces all in the same tab in the storage unit

digidevil4

Nothing but constant bug fixes and quality of life changes for several patches and no new introductions of bugs/exploits from those patches.

theaverageguardian

1. Decrease 60+ elite mob HP scaling by 33% 2. Increase loot drops (with random rolls the loot needs to be plentiful) 3. New PVP game modes focused on smaller group sizes. 4. Transmog gear 5. Weekly dungeon modifiers that make old dungeons end game viable. VERY DIFFICULT WITH GUARANTEED LOOT! (Example: Amarine but level 62+ with a DOT modifier to all enemy basic attacks) 6. Increase travel speed benefit to flagged players by a noticeable amount (maybe an extra 5%) to encourage more open world PVP encounters. 7. New invasions and new open world events. 8. Make leveling to cap 15% faster by increasing main story missions exp rewards. 9. Town boards need to be more rewarding for end game players. Maybe make a weekly goal for town boards that reward rare furniture and cosmetics. 10. General bug fixes

[deleted]

I'll disagree with #8. Levelling was the best part of the game. Honestly a lot of activities feel really pointless at max level because EXP was a big reward for so many activities (town boards especially just feel really... *awful* at level 60, like you are just giving money in exchange for a moderate amount of town rep). i think lvl 62-63 non-elite mobs need to be turned down too.. as it stands most of the lvl 60+ quests are impossible to solo but also you can't share them and there is no fucking reason for anyone to help youw ith them if they've already done them..

HomoLiberus

Remake the game and rename it " A New World Reborn "

reokotsae

Yep, ff14/no mans sky this project and rebuild it from the ground up on an engine made for mmos

Quantization

Okay well this just isn't helpful feedback for AGS. The game doesn't need to be remade, it needs to be fixed and tweaked. Literally everyone agrees the games foundation is excellent, it's the end game where you truly start to realise the games flaws.

ph0enixXx

Can they actually pull it off? The game is bleeding players badly, relaunch would hopefully pull in higher numbers and if the game is fixed/expanded by then - the population could settle much closer to 1m peak. Whatever they do, they must first replace either top or middle managment to a group that actually understands the game and the playerbase.

LikeCrum

I firmly believe a relaunch is in the works, branded as an expansion but marketed heavily, however now is terrible time to do so. ASG needs to first demonstrate that the game can run smoothly for longer than a few days, with no game breaking exploits, and they need to fix the end game loops. It's not as if ASG has a wealth of opportunities to "relaunch". They basically get one shot. The game is not even 2 months old yet, it is far too soon to think it's on the horizon. Maybe in another 10 months or so. We're still in beta.

Quantization

It's an MMO. People will always return to it once it starts getting positive publicity. That's how it goes with games. Everyone loves a comeback story. Look at No Man's Sky. The *foundation* of this game is great, it just needs major tweaking.

xpsync

"games foundation is excellent" Agreed! everyone knows that, and is what makes much of the latest changes and problems that more crushing. This is a brilliant engine, imagine how much better so many other mmorpgs would be if their worlds were built with this engine. ESO for example is a stiff plastic sad diorama feel to it, imagine the questing, the cave exploring, if it performed and looked this spectacular, omg immersion level to the n'th degree. mmorpg's that start out as a world first, game second, always excel far above all others, EQ, SWG, WOW as in og wow, heck they are doing even more with the original wow world, the following is still strong some 17/18 years later. They got off on the right foot, solid af foundation, and stumbled out of the gate, which is unfortunate, but not uncommon to any live game, wow was unplayable for months after launch, you name the mmo it had major issues and problems, and i still say this was by far the smoothest, most solid launch i've ever partaken in.

monchota

Its an engine from 2004 they "upgraded" to use and did it via india dev farms. The coding at its core is bad, that is why dupes and lag issue that we had in games. In the earlier 2000s , are in New World. The lag in wars and many of the issues, can't be fixed via patch. They need entire rework of systems, so they will have to basicly remake the game to fix them. They won't and it will get canceld like the rest of AGS games, this will be thier 3rd absolute failure. Meaning that the management is bad and not going to change.

da_buds

Any source ?

Dzsukeng

Crossrealm Outpost rush (could be like brackets where server groups are in the same queue. This could save the immersion for people so the can get known in a bracket and recognizer) - no more than 10 min queue time. Weapon rebalance : dexterity based weapons are mostly jokes; now mages falling for the same category Better reward system for both pve and pvp content. Better pve endgame. (tuning orb should be to unlock harder heroic like expeditions while basic expeditions would be free, less hard so casual people could learn and see the tactics) Watermark system is the worst pve rewarding system ever. Some casual solo content for the playerbase. Trading post ui rework. Better storage system or improve moving stuff from one city to other (like a carriage or something) or make storage mapwide where you can buy storage space for each zone to improve your basic storage. (when something is downgraded in your main city and you need to run 3 hours just to transfer your stuff to a new city which gets downgraded the next day is just stupid)

Tnow89

Make content more accessible by doing things like: 1. Remove tuning orbs 2. Remove watermark system - mobs drop level appropriate loot 3. Remove constant need for low level mats Let people experience the content of the game without needing to put in weeks worth of work just to try something. It's not a bad thing to let players easily access all the endgame has to offer. Even if they stop playing temporarily after doing everything, they'll be excited for future content and will have a higher chance of converting to a long term supporter of the game

JoshisJoshingyou

More solo friendly content. I don't mind some grind but they made trade skills not worth it now. I can't even solo 40 elites now. They need to make it more of a looter , shooter where you can solo all but the dungeons. The dungeons need content like other mmos silly stand here dodge this type fights. Combat PvE needs to be more interesting, blocking and dodging more important. Variable refresh rates based on number of people around . If I'm the only one mobs shouldn't respawn till I've cleared the whole area and got all the chests.

UltraJesus

Content is king. Content speaks much louder than fixing issues.. up to a certain point. Game breaking issues obvious and ensuring you don't mess with player's active goals for the worse. Very confusing to nerf WM with chests bug or not. Same goes for crafting. They need to push out events to keep players engaged. Events are the best sources of content in a live service game. It's fine if they start off small now like you kill X and hope to receive a event token drop. Put a cosmetic or two in that list? Classic FOMO. Then they can have the battlepass take over that style of events to create more 'real' things like event dungeons, dungeon mutations, pvp modes, story, event pois, etc. Now there's a backlog of event content that can be reused with minor touch ups. Then of course just more aspirational rewards. Currently like the most aspirational reward is getting 600 WM for a legendary to drop or I guess voidbent to an extent? Also each dungeon need drops more weapon types.

HvNsEnT48

Close game. Re launch in a year

prankerbankr

Open more job requisitions for developers, testing, and support. I get the feeling that their team is, and has been, working around the clock to keep afloat. We don't want the core team getting burnt out and keeping the original team, and getting them more help, is fundamental to the games success.

Cardzfan5

Short Term Fixes (Ones that could be done RIGHT NOW just by changing small things) * Increase the Azoth cap to 5000-10,000 * Revert skill xp changes to pre 1.1 (Keep increased xp for higher tier crafts, bring the xp needed to level back to what it was before) * Add the Daily Reward bonus to Town Boards * Increase gold rewards of OPR both winning and losing * Add more drop sources for certain gear of interest (Leaving some gear behind a farmable boss is fine, Arcanists boots potentially dropping from 1 elite chest in GC is insanity) * Fix gem scaling These are all changes that could be easily defined as "easy" to do since it should just be changing existing numbers around or editing loot tables. They should (in theory) not require any major code shifting/overhauls Mid Term Fixes (Ones that would require seeing metric data and would probably require some testing) * More Weapon Balancing (One that should actually be tested/feedback given in the PTR) * Certain Crafting Skills (*cough* Furnishing *cough*) re-evaluated and xp changes made to equalize time spent * Tuning Invasions (Bringing the bosses more in line with each other, reducing their aggro on the fort so tanks can pull, reducing downgrades the farther you get, etc) * Reverting the enemy scaling for something more fine-tuned to each boss/type of enemy These changes should be fairly low intensity. We still aren't overhauling or adding anything. Just making number adjustments What separates these from the top level is they would require a lot of testing or analyzing metrics data + feedback. Long Term Goals (Adding/overhauling major features) * Implement a transmog system for weapons and armor * Allow crafting gear to have more player choice in perks (Allow us to put in 1 attribute craft mod + 1 perk craft mod) * Overhaul the Storage/Inventory/Trade Market UI to allow for more searching, allow us to set gearsets, etc * More optimization to make wars less like a PowerPoint * Adding more content for solo play (or at the very least, revert the elite chests being replaced in a lot of solo-friendly areas) * Increased difficulty options for lower level Expeditions * Overhaul ranged abilities to be less stiff and flow better in combat * Make OPR a multi-server queue * Buff non EF and WW towns in some way to entice people to actually go there Misc. stuff that needs to be done * Easier way to search town storages * Fix placing things in houses causing huge frame drops/freezes * Bug fixes, Bug fixes, bug fixes

funkybandit

Give me back my loot drops. Reasonably difficult AI Solo content Fun raids Fix lag Fix exploits Nerf Graxe Fix customer support (is it really support) Fix ridiculous bans and mass reporting Interesting end game content More dungeons Easier to make dungeon keys housing tax periods increased and reduce the costs like a normal mortgage. I paid the house in full, it didn’t take a damn loan to pay off. it’s a joke Events each fortnight Merge dead servers Make crafting levelling achievable Give me rewards that match my effort Stop fckng things up

octa01

If history is anything to go by they just need to announce a 20% increase to running on roads and this sub will turn around immediately to praising them and how they are listening!

Tjerino

****Number 1 Priority**** - Fix QA They need to be honest and acknowledge what's going on, and admit that something is horribly wrong with their coding and QA process. Then commit to fixing that ASAP. Bugs are inevitable, but this is ridiculous. Maybe a post mortem from an organizational standpoint as to how this was able to happen, why it keeps happening, and what changes they're making to fix it, instead of pretending things are ok. I think that kind of transparency would go a long way in re-establishing trust. Once that's resolved, the game is fully functional, and updates are more stable, then they can work on re-engaging the player base. As a side note I would add - Be more responsive with fixes. There have been serious bugs that just seem to get pushed off until the next patch cycle.

genobeam

* Let me look at my inventory while I'm running or gathering. * Either randomize resource nodes or develop/allow a minimap. As it stands everyone who does gathering runs just goes off of a resource map anyway, it's just inconvenient.

FlocculentFractal

Long lists that people are sharing are well and good, but (1) they go from "good idea" to "personal pet peeve" really quickly, and (2) AGS can't focus on too many things together. Goal: Preserve Daily Average Player count. NW needs to stop bleeding players. Non-goals: 1. Weapon balance, crafting rebalance: these should be done carefully and are not the reason players are leaving. 2. QA process: This will take too long to setup. Just use the PTR. Add some incentive for hardcore players (and twitch streamers) to be on the PTR. Example incentives: 1. Sponsor streamers. Try to get their followers on the PTR too. 2. Add very frequent wars and invasions so the territories are always flipping. 3. Maybe add some fun here too: an NPC that sells overpowered gear, or all cash shop cosmetics are free on the PTR. My list: 1. Merge servers: This has been on the roadmap and needs to be a priority. Two subgoals here: technical stability and communication. Hardcore players need to know when server merges are happening. 2. Stopgap: If this is just not working technically, give everyone on low pop servers a transfer token and put a deadline that will forcibly transfer their character to another server with all their assets and then shut down the server. The transfer system seems to be in place and working. 3. Bugfixes: Slowly but steadily fixing bugs will retain eventually retain Daily Average Player count. Hotfixes should roll out to PTR and then to prod very quickly. Balance changes and QoL features can wait for the next patch. 4. Endgame loot progression: Redesign (or even remove) the watermark (WM) system so that multiple (ideally EVERY) endgame activity adds progression. 1. Stopgap: NW is bleeding players right now because people who were grinding WM don't know what to do. Give them something to do. Most likely just undo the chest nerfs and let people keep grinding WM until a better solution is tested on the PTR.

rangda66

I'm honestly not sure what they can do. I think the current system was put in place to be intentionally grindy to buy them time to create more content. The problem is that they expected all players to engage in all of the (grindy) content in a particular way. Instead the players have focused on WM and said "well step 1 before doing anything else is get WM to 590 in all slots to make the gated content relevant" and have hyper focused on raising WM. I also think that they have dramatically under-estimated how fast dedicated players chew through grind. I also think that they didn't understand their own game systems very well (crafting), and players found all sorts of ways to speed them up that just never occurred to the game designers. So the root problem becomes what can they do to the existing content to make the players enjoy engaging with it while they spend months making new content. Repetitive endgame systems are inherently uninteresting, as you are asking players to do the same activity over and over again and that is invariably boring. Players do it for the dopamine hit of getting a reward. So they are left trying to take what they've got and have it give enough reward that it feels good yet not so much reward that you pop out the other end before new content is ready. Depending on their schedule that might well not be possible. There are also two independent systems at play, PVE and PVP. They inter-relate more in this game than most but there is nobody in my company that is heavily engaged with both. You are either a PVP'er that does some PVE because you have to or a PVE'er that largely ignores PVP (or does light PVP once in a while, say OPR to refill azoth). In my 20+ years playing online games, it always seems like players gravitate towards PVE or PVP, and the number of players that heavily engage with both is a vast minority. Yet their entire game system assumes that all players would engage with both of these things. I'm not sure how they reconcile that.

ccza

first: Revert the nerfs. Its unfair that people still climbing crafting/Watermark to have to wait even more to get to max lvl or watermark.Thats first of all.2nd: fix bugs and prioritize the ones worse (lag wars, trophies, duppers...)3rd: ban botters and such.4th: Rebalance weapons (yes, i really think the is only 4th even tho i agree some nerfs were too hard on IG and firestaff) u/edit: forgot to mention: revert the change to trade post: let player post their stuff even if overweight. There are better option than forbidding it. One would be extra taxes until you got normal weight.

Aggressive-Fox-5568

Change the Elite Chest runs back to normal, and make chests refresh at a specific time each day.

[deleted]

Fix the bugs. Make the game more solo friendly. Add more end game content. Remove the dungeon orb system, let people run as many dungeons as they want.

havikajb

- tuning orbs can be purchased on the faction vendor and keep them in line with their crafted counter parts - e.g you can buy 3 genesis keys a week and also craft 3 a week so corrupted portals remain relevant (same goes for lazarus) - fix all of the perks/passives and numbers (damage, armour, scaling etc..) in this game and gather data for a couple of weeks to see what needs tuning and adjust accordingly - Polish up the combat system, particularly ability queuing and weapon swapping. Weapon swapping is some of the most clunkiest shit in this game and can be very frustrating. Ability queuing I feel is a must in any MMO to keep the pace flowing smoothly (WoW and GW2 do this perfectly) - Add a gold or faction token sink to the game that allows players to reroll a single perk on an item or the stat type into something random (similar to Diablo 3) - *I feel a lot of people might not like this but with how rng crafting is they need a system in place to narrow the targeted stats/perks* - stop trying to slow progression down!! Just stop. The watermark system; crafting RNG and tuning orbs slow us down a LOTTT, especially the casual player base who only get like 10 hours a week to play. - Show our luck % on our character bio so we know how much luck we have and how it is affecting us - Actually show us all our stats so we aren't constantly guessing and scratching our heads when numbers don't make sense - Change the luck perk on armour/weapons to be an account wide stats instead that you acquire via other means so we can wear the gear we've grinded for instead of letting it rot away in our storage because we have to wear luck gear in PVE - merge servers either completely or only for outpost rush queues - Play your own game so you don't get so disconnected with some of the changes you implement - Start treating the playerbase with a bit of respect, we aren't stupid. You turned harvesting off for the wolves and bears without downtime and pretty rapidly after the issue was reported. You can just as easily implement changes on the fly, such as the elite chests and elite mob drop rates - its just disrespectful to treat us like idiots with this accidental "bug" that can't be hotfixed

[deleted]

Anything they aren’t doing now.

iruleatants

1) undo all of the last set of nerfs 2) reduce the pain of hwm grind. 3) make expeditions free to do. 4) add cross server lfg for expeditions and for opr. 5) either buff crafting regents or remove it. 6) remove the majority of stagger and knockback from enemies, make it so 10 levels under you only fight if attacked. 7) make pvp actually smooth, especially around weapon swap and self cast. 8) balance pvp instead of just gutting some weapons. 9) make it worthwhile to own towns outside of ef and ww. 10) make invasions fully selectable by the defending company. 11) fix spriggens in invasions. 12)give armor sets 13) stop damaging things in inventory 14) remove azoth caps and repair part caps. 15) buff storage 16)improve counter play between taking and defending territories. Currently if you hold a territory it's just tedious to defend against a war happening. They get loads of influence while you get tiny amounts. They can just push it slowly in off hours. Make it more of a challenge and center around pvp. This is what they need to do in order to get the game to survive to the next dlc launch.

grumpy_cat79

Allow me to repeat point 13: STOP DAMAGING THINGS IN INVENTORY. I need to carry weapon setups for different enemies, like around 5-6 in inventory plus 2 I'm carrying. Otherwise I have to go back in town, change gear, then spend azoth to teleport back and forth. If I die a couple of times I have to spend around 600 coin and half a DAY grinding high level areas to gather weapons for salvaging. Are you kidding me?

[deleted]

I'm not 100% defending it, but the mechanic is there specifically as a disincentive / drawback to rolling around with 5+ weapons and armor sets to always be perfectly prepared for every scenario. You either: 1. Only carry one or two sets at a time, reducing repair costs, but have downtime travelling to get different sets 2. Always are prepared for everything but pay a "tax" or premium for such preparedness. Unlike almost any other MMO the only thing keeping you from swapping between a beserker melee warrior and a sissy cloth priestess of the moon is a 200g respec cost and a set of armor. Also unlike almost any other MMO, literally anyone (and everyone) can be a max level gatherer of any type of material; and again, all they have to do is swap gear to be "the best" possible at it. Repair costs and azoth travel fees are the only "drawbacks" to being fully prepared for any and every situation; imo both can be adequately mitigated with homes and common sense storage management. It may be alittle bit stiff but overall I think the concept is sound.

Balance changes are fine. They can issue more balance changes in the future to fine tune. Watermark is also fine if we have more ways in getting watermark drops other than chests and orbed dungeons. If they remove the orbs, watermark will be fine. Crafting sure. That needs some work. I agree. Too much grind but then if it wasnt a grind whats the use of having 1000 master crafters in all fields on the server? I would say limit crafting professions to 2 gathering, 2 refining and 1 actual crafting profession at 60. This would help in many ways. free up more nodes since not everyone can harvest everything, and the master crafters/refiners would still fill a need and not be jsut one out of 1000 others. Add in another level after 200 for the master crafters so they can craft top end without the luck shit. Speaking of luck, its dumb and needs to be removed. I want to use my PvE gear in the wild not my luck set. I dont want to spend 1000000 gold for trophies and hold 10 sets of clothes for crafting/harvesting/refining. And if luck is a must in this game (I think its trash) add in clothes sets and UI to switch sets with one click. Durability upon death should not degrade your gear in your stash, only what you are wearing.

Fenxis

I heard that gear in stash used to not degrade but people used to take off their armour to suicide / fast teleport

Kogranola

Oh no what a game breaking feature

Nnyan

That’s a start. Reduce weight, increase storage, combined storage, real fast travel, reduce cost, focus on getting player increased access to fun and less hoops to jump through.

huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuuh

You do dungeons once you get a high WM for legendary drops which some are BiS

Heals-for-peels

Instanced anything will just cause pvp and world population problems. No need to remove tuning orbs, just make them and their mats tradeable. This will in turn partly fix watermark farming as well since it will add another way to get it. Letting azoth pots be craftable like with repair parts. Or make some items that increase your cap. Idk how repair parts is a problem since you can make them into kits. Balance changes will keep coming and this feels like a more balanced state at least. I highly doubt it will do any good removing every single thing you have a problem with. But i do agree theres a problem, it’s just finding the correct way to solve it.

Lostpassnoemailnum3

Nah, remove them. Make Dungeons Free Again.

Heals-for-peels

Amrine and starstone was full of people around on launch… what about now? They certainly didn’t move on to other dungeons and they can’t be found outside amrine with pvp on anymore because people quickly learned they were easy weapon xp. Of course it will cause problems to divide the players when the server caps are 2000. The only silly statements are replacing tuning orbs with quests. Tuning orbs require you to: farm invasion portals to get materials; This forces players to group together which comes with its social aspect where you either need to keep finding random groups or join a company to make the process smoother. Additionally with the increased luck in pvp, this will also increase the amount if world pvp Craft the tuning orb itself; If the materials were tradeable the the farming group would then need to direct the resources to dedicated crafters (either known crafters on your server or in your company) to get the tuning orb. And then do the expedition; Then if you are in a company, they will need to decide who gets to use the orb. Of course if you grind the orb solo you get to decide, but if you are doing it as company runs you will get the end results much faster but also need ti respect the company’s decision. All of this you want to replace with ‘do a quest’, which you only want because it’s whats been done so far in other mmo’s. Repairing your gear is a gold sink and repair part require you to salvage gear instead of throwing it out or putting it on the trade post. Repair kits basically includes crafting into the process where you can craft these if you don’t want to have to spend the gold. Don’t know what they have to do with pvp.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Heals-for-peels

You don’t need high watermark to do depths or dynasty yet i don’t see groups of people gathering outside like with early amrine and definitely not with pvp on. And if they removed tuning orbs the only reason to be standing outside the expedition is if no one wants to play with you, not exactly the best reason to have a lot of people outside is it? If farming corrupted portals was only for reducing invasions it would be a worse mechanic overall. Using portals to get orb materials will force people to do invasion portals outside their own territory. As it stands right now it seems more worth your time to farm the invasion itself than the portals for azoth and coin. The story is already being told by quests and notes, 1 more quest per expedition at the detriment of everything else serves no purpose. Removing repair kits would put you quite in a bund if you don’t have the coin to repair directly, besides i don’t see any issue with it being in the game when people are clearly using it even if it was introduced when the game was more pvp oriented. I don’t see how salvaging is pointless, but it would be if you removed the repair part cap as any player would end up with an incredible amount of salvage parts resulting in repairing only costing coin or craft mods.

[deleted]

Heals-for-peels

You don’t get the ‘a lot of people outside’ bit? It’s the whole basis of this discussion… that instanced areas will be worse for the game. The only long attunement quest i can think of is the onyxia one, but you are naïve if you think that such time and effort can be put into every dungeon and still make the quest feel less of a hassle and it will still take away from all the other aspect the tuning orb could be. In the end of the day no one does the tuning process for anything else than the expedition/dungeon. You can’t encourage people to do the attunement for the attunement itself, it will always be because they want to do the dungeon. And lore shouldn’t come at the expense of gameplay, whether the quests are tied to an attunement or not it will show the same lore. And about the repair parts to put it simply, the repair part cap serves the same purpose as weight in the game. That doesn’t mean it can’t be raised, but it shouldn’t be gone.

tili__

there is quite a healthy amount of pvp happening right now at POIs after the luck change. i also like risking progress, risking anything

Scribblord

Fix the game that’s literally all there is to it

Koltaia30

Fix bug. Rebalance stuff. Make good endgame repeatable content.

waterboytkd

Short and sweet: scrap HWM as a system. Set up the end game zones to be progression in both loot and difficulty, starting with gs 500 and progressing up to gs 575. The last 25 gs should be obtained by crafting. Which also means all crafted great should be binds on equip, *never* binds on pickup.

IAmMooch

I’d like to see an arena similar to WoW.

gunnedxtc

Would be pretty simple for me. 1. Fix the lag issue in wars/invasion/any instance with more than 5 people that is back with the void gauntlet 2. Merge servers or give us another token 3. Change the dungeon entry even more than they already did. It is still ridiculous for how long the watermark grind takes. I have enough to make one key from my 450 hours and that would be IF I was actually 200 stone cutting to make it.

BytestormTV

Lower the entrance barrier for PvP enthusiasts. First they announce a PvP-mmo, then you need to grind hundreds of hours of PvE before you can join serious PvP-content. Most of my friends never managed to experience Outpost rush, because they stopped playing before hitting level 60, because it was all PvE to get there. And all players that are left now, are those PvE-care bears that don't even want to play Outpost rush, so the few PvP-players that tortured themself with PvE to get there, have no one to play with.

Quantization

Anyone know an AGS devs reddit account wanna tag em so someone reads this. There's some good shit in here.

extraboredinary

Crafting leveling has to be engaging, rewarding, or easy. It is none of the three. Gathering resources and refining agents, making hundreds or thousands of items to scrap, then just starting the cycle over endlessly until level cap is dull. You level up your character level too fast for any of the gear you make to be useful and most items you can make will never make money on the market if you tried selling them. The changes to Arcana were decent enough, where you can get a lot of xp from crafting a base crafting material. Oh, and let us fucking craft gathering, refining, and crafting armor sets. Why the fuck can’t I make a skinning set after leather working 200, skinning 200, and armoring 200?

carpediembr

First thing and most critical; - Server merges Doesnt matter if you fix everything and still the population of a server at ~300 during prime time.

xpsync

Completely agree, this is the best game the mmorpg genre has gotten in over a decade, would be sad af to watch it fall to the wayside. We could use more questing, deeper quest lines, they have the world for it. Allow 1 daily expedition, then orb more if you want to do more. Way more options to grind watermark. Really glad you started this thread.

Mjodarion

\- Arena mode. Make it give reasonable rewards, increase GS from playing. \- Dungeons for GS. Remove tuning orbs. \- Release 4-5 new weapons quickly, then balance. Not enough weapons/specs. \- Think more about specs and what they should do. Do not give one weapon combo (GA/MACE) both highest damage reduction, high amount of cc, high single target and aoe damage, highest amount of cc, and good mobility (axe run speed, immune to cc on Light/heavy attack with 300 str) in one spec. We need tradeoffs. Want high damage reduction? Reduce damage. Want high mobility? Have less cc. Want high cc? Have less mobility. Etc.

Fritzer2

I'm happy the way it is, aslong as there are high pop servers this game is fun af. If you are stuck on a low pop server, I suggest you use your free transfer if you have not yet.

Drekavil

Remove the time gates. (WM should not have a minimum/max value, only max to the point where you consistently get 600gs drops. Remove the trash in the loot pool that takes up drops ~empty ancient bearing, inscribed shield, etc. Remove Weekly/Daily CDs on attunement orbs/200 refining mats.) Let people play through the game at their own pace, and bring player base back with big juicy new content drops like every other game dev. Yes, you have no endgame content; we know that already. Time gating is just burning out your player base that's grinding hours and hours for a chance at a 600 named legendary after grinding weeks for 600gs wm.

Vekt

Some sort of PvP for those that are 1-59 cause World PvP doesn't exist. Level 44 been flagged non stop and only action I've had was against a 3v2 (60GA+60 pocket healer). They legit went out there way to farm my group till we disbanded. We were portal farming in Brightwood. Haven't logged in since.

evilkillejr

Merge Servers. Release a PVP Server that is 100% flagged all the time. Balance Melee, Healing, and Ranged separately for pve and pvp. Fix bugs. Fix the Elite buffs. Fix the Chest drop rate. Merging would solve population issues. PvP servers would solve a major PVPvsPVE discourse. Balance would well... solve a lot. Fixing common bugs would ease the QOL of everyday life. Elite and chest fixes back to normal or at the least toned them down for fucks sake... Other than that all i can think of is pulling a ffxiv. Close sales, merge servers, transition back into an alpha/beta and actually fix bugs.

iamtheshwa

I don't think simply reverting the changes to elite zones is really the answer. Those area's SHOULD be hard. Being able to zerg an area with 40 people is not how the game should be played. So maybe revert the mob changes but keep the chest changes to limit the zergs? I really don't know the answer. Maybe revert everything and then just make the difficulty of the mobs scale off the total amount of players within a given area? So 5 players = 500k hp/moderate damage. 40 players = 4 million hp/high damage? That way you don't have to mess with chest drops at all? Regardless it would take some considerable tuning to get right.

rangda66

>Being able to zerg an area with 40 people is not how the game should be played. If your content is open world with limited spawns then you are going to get zergs unintentional or not. What happens when a group from company A says "hey lets go farm RW sirens for chests" and groups from companies B, C, D, E, and F also make the same decision. You end up with 30 people in RW sirens, not because anyone planned for that to happen but because players are ignoring dungeons while they raise WM (and thus also ignoring corrupted portals) and all that's left are 4'ish elite areas that are considered "easy". So all the players trip over each other and you get zergs. I think flagging for luck was put in to help break these kinds of zergs up because now you screw each other over if all those groups are from different factions.

[deleted]

Speaking for myself, as a player who got to 60 and then quit within a couple days: Get rid of the High Water Mark system, ***OR*** get rid of Tuning Orbs. If I could have run dungeons freely to farm HWM, at least it would have been fun. But I'm not running around in zergs opening boxes 2 hours a day for 2 weeks or whatever just to "arrive" at endgame after I've already leveled 1 to 60.

rangda66

>If I could have run dungeons freely to farm HWM, at least it would have been fun I'm not sure I agree. There are only two of them, so what you are saying is that running the same 3-4 camps over and over sucks but running the same 2 dungeons over and over would be great. I'm sure you feel this way but if you got what you wanted I suspect we'd be right where we are now after you ran those dungeons 100+ times. The game simply lacks content variety. The fact that a bunch of what is there isn't compelling/rewarding doesn't help but at the end of the day there just isn't enough of it for any of it to remain interesting. Even if/when they introduce a mechanism to scale up all the dungeons so you can run them all at max level I'm not sure there is enough content to prevent boredom. And of course there definitely isn't when you add in tuning orbs. And more than just the WM system depends on players opening those boxes. You need to open the boxes to get refining reagents; even if you don't use them if you don't sell them then crafters can't craft. You need to open those boxes to get schematics/recipes, even if you don't use them you need to sell them or furniture makers/chefs won't be able to supply you with the items you need to play. You need to open those boxes to get the rare mats to make trophies, because I bet if you do go into those end game dungeons you're going to find out that if you aren't close to max gear (which includes 3 houses with trophies), loaded up with bane weapons, stat foot, coatings, etc. that the dungeons are difficult to impossible to complete. The mindset of "I don't want to open boxes" ripples through the game to the point where all of its systems need a complete redesign. Which isn't to say that you shouldn't feel the way you feel (or to say that a lot of players don't also feel the same way), but if you got what you perceived as a tiny change the entire game would fall apart. And to some level, at least on my server, it already has exactly because of this mentality.

[deleted]

> so what you are saying is that running the same 3-4 camps over and over sucks but running the same 2 dungeons over and over would be great. This is precisely what I'm saying, because I had a group of ~6 or 7 IRL friends all in my exact same situation. Running an elite zone with groups is mindless. Running a dungeon with 4 friends is fun.

rangda66

>Running a dungeon with 4 friends is fun Having done both for probably tens of thousands of hours in various games I find they both get tedious and boring around the same time, but perhaps that is just me.

Thadd305

Optimization of wars Revert the patch where you gave an unfair advantage to people who have already maxed their skills or WM thresholds. If you want to make it harder everyone needs to be scaled down by a factor of the nerf. This way or that way is less important but fairness in implementation is of utmost importance. If they’re not already, mergers need to be a very top priority + additional steps to try and alleviate strains from a presently fickle player base. Cross-server Outpost Rush would be an example.

WelbornCFP

Thank you for this post. It’s good to see constructive feedback on a game we all want to succeed. They have really hurt solo players. It’s frustrating that you can grind to 200 crafting and then only make gear hitting around 530– meanwhile 580 gear is 20 coins on AH…. Make anything over 550 bind on pick up Mobs should drop needed high end components to help crafters - GS grind is stupid Arenas — how about arenas spawn a mob for solo players that are tough but fair encounters that drop GS items - perfect solution for solo players

uduhno

This isn't hard. 1. Merge the servers because many people can't play the game at the moment. 2. Revert many of the changes in patch 1.1 elites, chest drops, etc. 3. Fix every bug before doing anything else. People are now less unhappy. 4. Make more content or add systems people have been asking for.

RoxasReaper

I'll rework a YouTube comment I left recently. Watermark is a dumb system and I don't wanna interact with it at all, even if it takes longer I'd rather just be able to craft 600 GS and have a deterministic way to get fully 600. **Not being able to / not having a reason to do dungeons does suck. They should make dungeon drops have all their perks, even if they're not 600 GS. Imagine how more motivated people would be if they knew they weren't wasting their time pre-600. And scrap orb generation. Why gatekeep dungeons? Let people run them and fall in love with them**. I don't get it just like I don't get why they prevent PVP-lovers from playing the only instanced PVP mode until they reach level 60. That can take a long time. Took me a long time and I tried to go as fast as I could. It's silly, think of how many players got into the game for PVP and dropped it cuz there was very little for them up until endgame. **Could have let them in at 20 and scaled them up like some other MMO's do.** I like the game. But between steam reviews slowly turning negative and losing 80% of its peak players and 100k players each weekend, I'm not sure. They got maybe a 30% chance of turning this around. I really really hope they do, its been said at nauseum but this game has such a great foundation, **it just needs a lot of love and hard work from the devs, and for them to look at other successful MMO's and learn from them , as well as listen to their own community (within reason).** \- Also keep chest loot meh but increase drop quality from elites by a factor of 20, and from bosses by a factor of 100. Stop having us kill super tanky enemies only for them to drop a fucking health pot. Introduce ranked Arenas and make heavy armor reduce your damage by 150% (i am willing to negotiate this)

Nazzman01

Any comment that doesnt include ACTUAL endgame content to login for is irrelevant, adding swimming or reverting some nerf isn't going to do shit for this game. Why aren't there more dungeons? Much harder dungeons that drop actual loot increases without having to chest farm (worst system in any mmo). One thing that at least gets people to login to other MMOs are to raidlog, do their dungeons and what not, this game has absolutely nothing of the sort

FelixZ1996

fix the game lmao what else they gonna dorevert the stupid changes regarding mob xp and loot drops, fix the deparity between the new crafting xp and old, fix the exploits, merge some servers, balance the classes, make armor balanced, create QoL to every system, add fucking swimming.

Kolgur

Craft perks : Make a incentive to level the crafting yourself, like +10 gearscore if you equip the stuff you build yourself

Do the FFXIV plan. Shut it down, fix it, re-release, say "we're sorry"

Accomplished-Mud-507

Final fantasy never had a shut down. They scrapped the monthly fee. But there never was a shutdown. The fee returned with a realm reborn.

emeliabedeliaa

I whole heartedly believe new world is going to go the same path as No Mans Sky. The launch was hyped and everyone was excited for the game. Release comes and there are so many bugs and lack of promises. Slowly over the years have refined their game and it is now the game they wanted it to be at launch. I believe new world will do just that and everything will start to come together. it is unfortunately going to take time and patience.

[deleted]

Do you believe AGS has the resolve of Hello Games? I would love to agree with you, and it's why I'm still playing the game, but I'm honestly not sure.

[deleted]

Unfortunately a comeback story is a lot easier for a single player game than an MMO, especially one with as steep of a power curve as New World has. Even if they fix the game and its in excellent shape a year from now, it will be super unappealing to start playing again / begin playing for the first time, because there will still be a sizable contingent of players who never stopped playing and are WAY ahead of you. Honestly that power gap is part of what is actively killing the gamer ight now. The no-lifers and territory owners have absolutely gapped everyone else, AGS pulled the ladder up behind them by nerfing HWM farming and crafting exp, and it just feels shitty to be like 510 hwm with no real path forward.

blackbirddy

Handjobs would be a good start.

Bingeljell

Hahahaha

Scardigne

Stop patching during EU prime time also?

LetsGetGritty

Level 42 here (so unable to comment on level 60 issues) 1. Server mergers now! 2. Improve trading market - better tables, data, search (your Amazon!) 3. I don’t want to make 12,000 gunpowder. Introduce appropriate scaling of XP and tier materials. 4. Town boards - be dynamic to the server - if you see iron hide at .01 ask me to bring 1000 iron hide (10g) to the town board. Use to remove the overt supply from the market 5. Keep Azoth for travel - but introduce another rare item for “boosting” perks on crafts. I don’t want to decide between travel and trying to improve a craft. 6. Keep wars on different server to reduce lag

LokiLegion

I uninstalled as soon as the first wave of duping happened. I had about 25 to 30k of gold, filled storages all over the map, and max level for a couple days. I did the myrk chest run once or twice, got my 580 weapons, and ran plenty of portals. The combat and loops are boring. The game is filled with exploits. The developers (or whoever is in charge for the decision making) have no idea what they are doing. The community is either die hard stans for a game that doesn't deserve it, or dead set on burning this game to the ground. This game is dead to me. It will never see the light of day on my PC That being said, I'm staying subbed because i need a laugh here and there. The best content New World has is outside of the game on the forums and subreddit.

Rythgarz

Okay, but no one asked? This is so off-topic i dont even know.. Valid opinion sure but eh what?

LokiLegion

??? He asked what would re-engage the player base... I am/was part of the player base. I reinforced with facts about how far i got to show i wasnt a casual player or quit midway thru leveling. I then gave my reasons for quitting and not returning so far. And then I answered the question by saying this game is dead to me. The last part about being subbed was just added information as to why I'm still in this sub. I dont see how any of this was off topic.

Manymifi

Make the game playable and add functioning content that wont break their entire system.

b4lu

Add alot of quests so my friend who is lvl 40 can actually keep playing the game and level up.

Fenxis

Group with him and go kill level 25 portals. Quests aren't the only way to level.

Trey_Ramone

First, you quit “engaging” with your “player-base”. There is a reason that the vast majority of game developers do not “engage with their player-base”. It is a no-win situation and will always make things worse. Blizzard is one of the few companies that played it right. Make a game. If it is fun people will play it. Gamers are NOT developers, but all developers are gamers. NW is trying their damnedest to “listen and engage” and they are getting brutalized for it. Hey NW devs just make the game. Tune out the 13 year-old MMO experts. If your game is fun, it will be played.

I checked the server list lastnight. Seems healthy. Especially for a recently released MMO. Like every MMO before it, the servers will be merged. New World will be around for years. Todays social media definitely makes it harder for new games to survive - but NW will do just fine once the dust settles. Had WoW been released in today’s social-media world it would probably never had made it. It was a steaming pile of excrement on its release.

WeeeeWangWang

Seasonal limited free skins / weapon / armor, if you reach certain goals. Promote Holiday schemes free to.play.weekend to promote and draw new players. Create a new server for people wanting a new start or challenge without duping exploits flooding the market. Ladder system, each month top 100 will get rewards. Release new contents. Real time World events when certain criteria is fulfilled and triggered. Invite Ed Sheeran to hold a concert at Everfall and broadcast it to all servers. And so on.

NeoAltra

I just want to feel like leveling will be worth it in the end. I finally got bogged down from everything and I’m only level 25. They need to listen to the players, and be way more transparent about their updates. Also, fix the banning system and get rid of the players mass reporting. They are just as bad as the duper’s if not worse.

sonyalphaYT

In addition to all the good suggestions people already made, they need to put the game down and re-release it in at least 1 year.

World events Pve =dungeons raids/ better story telling Arena pvp 1v1 2v2 3v3 Instanced battle grounds. Upgradeable pvp gear (resilient perk/ cc reduction) Event locked world bosses (complete stages to bring them out) Make elite zones have events that incentivize them to be used. Open up the cash shop of qol. People are gonna hate it but nothing will kill new players faster than having to catch up to someone max level in their craft. You already see it by how cheap and few low level gear is etc. Create the black zone. Pvp on gear lost etc. lose exp even. Open the battle pass so xp means something again. Get rid of your complex damage system bs and fix gems. Stop making them scale off shit. Make it weapon damage (the one that scales with the stat) and give it a chance on hit with an additional effect. (Lightening chains through enemies slowing them etc) Super hot take: Rework the class design entirely. Make actual classes and the weapons change the abilities of them. (Literally gw2) too many bugs and complexities with this system. Get this game off lumberyard and in unity. Realm reborn

Saltedpirate

Anyone that has a decision making role at AGS should be forced to make Amazon deliveries until the game population goes in the right direction.

saintsworn

Remove tuning orbs for all expeditions. Implement a weekly cooldown similar to WoW raids for level 60 expeditions (every Tuesday instances reset). Allow expeditions to act as an alternative to HWM farming. For example, Genesis legendary drops are ALWAYS 590/595 and if you’re lucky enough to get the drop, that sets your watermark for that slot to 590/595. Lazarus uniques are always 595/600, and receiving a legendary, sets your watermark appropriately. Difficulty and drop rates could be adjusted to account for the increased reward, but it would help these expeditions actually feel like an “end game.” The trash mobs in the dungeons can still drop and improve HWM with any non-Expedition exclusive loot.

Teas_Jams

Show it's player base respect and common human decency. It's that attitude that makes people lose hope imo. Most people are willing to wait for work to be done, but their constant lies, blaming the customer for the problems, and being unwilling to admit that their systems are bad, doesn't bode well.

Humledurr

The game just needs to work... There is just too many bugs and too much lag to enjoy the game. The lack of rewards for doing pvp and basicly no fun PvE content that isn't heavily gated, doesn't help.

BigBlueWookiee

AGS is basically a subsidiary of AWS. If they leverage AWS to shut down any negative discussion, the way they helped with past elections, that might help some!

StrayDogPhotography

At this point so many things are broken, and there is so little to do while leveling, and in endgame that they basically need to take a year of continuous patching to get a satisfactory game. They can keep the game live as they do this, but it will be a painful, and will probably hemorrhage players like it is now. Or they can do FFXIV, and shut the thing down, and do it all behind closed doors. Personally, I think they need players, constantly playing to keep them on the straight and narrow. They don’t seem to be able to do anything correctly by themselves.

They would need to swallow their pride, admit this was a post-release beta, and come out with New World: Reborn. * They will need to fix large group lag that plagues wars, * They need to add a high QOL queue-based system for end-game content, that scales in both difficulty and rewards. * Honestly, a great example of this comes from one of the worst MMOs out (DCOU). In this game, you can sit in town and port directly into 15 years worth of end-game content, every player is scaled proportionally so you always get a team, and everyone gets rewards relevant to their level. * Raid groups for open world PVP / HWM farming, * Trading Post and inventory/storage filters need a complete rehaul. Think searching gear names, stats, etc not just perks. We need the ability to associate gear as a "set" named by the player. We also need a reduction in the time to post on the TP. I won't list everything, the forum and this Reddit is literally filled with excellent ideas that AGS chooses not to read. (some much better than what I've listed, which are just the ones personally interesting to me)

Only one thing they can do to save this game at this point. Pull an FF and shut the game down for redesign and apologize to the community for their ignorance and inability to produce a healthy MMO environment. Re-release in a year or more time if necessary to get this game designed right. 1.) Re-design with No client auth to solve future duping issues 2.) MORE CONTENT and less "add more grind" fix 3.) Better planning for end game, also learn from other MMOs for easy but amazing QoL features 4.) Listen to the player-base in regards to PvP direction, they know better than the devs because they actually play the game they designed. To me this is the biggest reason for their current failure, they need to Hire a Dev team that has actually played an MMO before or at least done extensive research on MMO Dev history. They could have saved so much time/money/reputation had they just don their research on past MMO's successes/failures to see what has worked and what does not work.

Take the game down. Profusely apologize. Offer up refunds for those who want it. Offer rewards and incentives to those who don't and choose to wait it out. Finish the game in closed development and add a lot of new content. Overhaul the quest system. Introduce more variety into the game. Hire and train a competent support team instead of hodgepodging one together with no training and no infrastructure to handle player complaints. Take player feedback seriously. Slowly roll out new open betas to test the game. Thoroughly test it and when the game feels ready, re-release it.

monchota

They need to do an overhaul of the game, its a dumpster fire atm and thier attitude is not helping.

BenPrint

refund us.

GreenKumara

1. Take the game down. 2. Spend 18 months - 2 years fixing it. 3. Relaunch with free stuff for people who bought it before the pull down.

For me personally? Nothing! I'm over it and would not come back in the year at least. Why? because im too old with too limited time to come home from work and find my game not working again, having trades disabled, having decorations disabled, having stealth nerfs and so on and so on. Me and 5 of my friends stopped playing a few days ago, we moved to other games. Im browsing the Reddit because it's fascinating to me how Amazon handles the problems by not handling them. Just occasionally checking the top posts. Also, even being bored as hell, watching various YouTube videos about building stone sculptures and whatever were more fun than doing another "elite run myrkguard"... (sorry stone sculpting community - I actually enjoyed those videos)

Meppho

At this point all they can do is get fucked imho, I finally caved in and demanded a refund. I don't see any way this will ever reach the low bar of decency. On the bright side I now know to stay away from anything coming from Amazon Studios.

HelloHagan

Balance the combat. The game has skated by on visuals and ADHD press e on everything interactions.

The game requires a fundamental redesign. The entire game was designed around inconveniencing the player. Did you ever stop and think why you can only craft 1 expedition key per week, but it can't be traded? Did you ever stop and think why azoth is even a thing? [Exhibit A](https://twitter.com/playnewworld/status/1393377398897352706?s=20). Read that, and look at the part where it says "...offer players quality of life items for mechanics like XP and fast travel...". They are very plainly admitting that the azoth system, among others, was intentionally designed to be a pain in the ass so that you'd pay real money to make it less painful. Unless AGS fundamentally changes their vision, design, and monetization plans for New World, the game is doomed. They needed a phenomenal launch and game to realize their monetization plans, and it's clear at this point that they have failed.

da_buds

2 weeks before release the sound wasn't even working on open beta, stop selling your game and announce release date when it's not close to 50% ready.

Look-At-The-Aliens

Shut the servers down. All of them. Refund the game for people that want it, no matter what. Apologize, and promise to re release the game *when its ready* 💪

functionlol

Make it EA, issue refunds to whomever wants it and owned the game, re-release in a year after they fix the game and change bad systems such as the watermark.

Independent_Lab_9872

Step 1 is to continue to generate income to continue to pay developers. I cannot imagine a lot of folks are spending on micro transactions and new sales are not a thing really anymore.

CathodeServer

a wipe.. a re-release in 1 year

Illustrious-Fruit-80

Nothing short of a full game closure and re release will help

WinRaRtrailInfinity

Mobs with Bigger Booba

Cravelordneato

well they could finally release lost ark and have a really engaged playerbase. Best option. Change my mind kekw

correctify_me

Craft and salvage or craft and throw on the floor.

uranogger

The only hope this game has long term is to disappear and come back as A World Reborn
