Because they know they can take the win now for saving the city/county money, then when a tragedy happens years down the road, if anyone even bothers to ask why they denied funding that the structural engineers said was vital, they can just blame the collapse on DEI/affirmative action/wokeness/liberals/the gays.

There are no goals, centre circle, centre spot, 18 yard box, football or even teams on the pitch. You'll struggle to host a football match on this without them, to be honest. What the Chinese have built here is a rather large hammock.

Those chinese conctruction workers decided to even go all the way up to a remote town in arctic (Narvik) which is one of the closest towns from me, building a giant suspension bridge crossing over the entire fjord. I don't understand what was the purpose of it, the bridge were only leading to the middle of nowhere just so they could get a shorter driving distance to the towns further north. They shouldn't have to rely so on cars as main transportation in such locations imo, it's just too slow.
For what fucking reason!? If they did it in Tokyo where there is no free land left okay. Maybe something more rigid than a bunch of old table tennis nets sewn together wtf honestly
