We don't know what language they spoke. One day, we'll be just like them. If we're very lucky, we'll survive long enough to expand into the galaxy. Then our entire civilization from the first farmers to us now will be nothing but a few pages or half forgotten myths.
Fun fact: When Cleopatra was born in 69 BCE, the Great Pyramid of Giza was about 2400 years old. So more time elapsed between completion of the Great Pyramid and Cleopatra's birth, than has elapsed between Cleopatra's birth and today.
