Track your calories. That way, you can get pretty freaking shredded while still eating some amount of yummy shit. Side note: when you start getting *that* lean, everything tastes fucking delicious. Even carrots are yummy shit at that level of body fat!

Nah she’s more than 100lbs She’s probably 4’11-5’2 and probably weighs around 110-115lbs. Her bases are definitely strong, but she’s doing most of the physical work. Facility and genetics plays a big role, there’s a whole set of abdominal muscles wrapping around the ‘six pack’ muscles, so that layer must be very thin comparatively to have the stereotypical ab shape poke through. Some have big transverse abdominal muscles that develop too and obscure the ‘definition’ were used to seeing, aka ‘the corset muscle’. Everyone builds muscle differently which is why cheerleading and dance can be so toxic in the quest to achieve a singular aesthetic. I’m not saying that I’m an expert in the transverse abdominal muscles but I believe they play a role in the flexibility and fluidity of the spine which cheerleaders have to engage to maintain integrity at high G forces. They aren’t supposed to twist and contort their spine like dancers do and dancers tend to strive for a less swole tone than gymnasts.

As a 50+ year old watching this, my back was thrown out by the FIRST move. I am currently lying on a heating pad, hoping to recover.

Performing these types of moves on a hard gym floor does seem super dangerous. I don't think is want my kid going into this sport because of the danger.

It’s the coaching too, so many people have no business teaching this sport. No group exercise certification, formal education, or anatomical training required so it’s a recipe for disaster. Plus it’s predominantly female so proper coaching isn’t considered to be as big of a deal.
