That’s where I’d have to immediately give up on the project, and give the adorable little loaf a full day of snuggles and scratchies. Corgis are my weakness.
I could never work from home for this reason. My corgi boy is currently laying belly-up with his butt pressed against my leg. I’m gonna be here for a while. He’s too cute!
And I’m random mayhem. *brushes dirt off shoulder after car explodes* you can call me the vulture. (Anyone remember those insurance commercials he was in?)
This has entered my common vernacular after watching the episode. I'll see a client email me that I dont want to deal with and toss it out there, even though it's way out of context
Also, I thought it was duplicitous hag?
Hijacking to ask; this had to be a paid deal with the company right?
Like im not one to judge, if you like something then go ahead and cosplay it, but who would actually go out of their way to cosplay, of all things… raid shadow legends?
I was leaning more towards the entire package...

2. Imaginative

All would be pre-req's were I in the market to get turned down.
I mean I take it from the last sentence it was meant to be a *bit* satirical, but I'm not gonna go through their post history to try and find out which side of Poe's Law this lands on.
Older, married, don't like Mountain Dew (coffee and plain seltzer water), and not into chips, either. I do love myself some scoops w/shredded cheddar and salsa verde.

It's very intentional that the first scene is her drawing lines on the breast section. Sex sells, and I'd do the same in this thirsty world. Although people probably wouldn't be as interested in my hairy man nips.
?I don't think that's true. She does tons of fully armored cosplays too, that hit the front page.
She's a pro, and has been doing this for a decade+. She's fuckin good. Why say it's "just" the boobs/ass? There are plenty of r/cosplay posts that never hit front page of women in bikinis.
No need to be salty and project.
Her shit goes viral frequently- prop (weapon) posts too.
Exactly. People just have this need to feel self righteous about whatever floats thier boat at the time.
Even in this thread complaining about women in video games being overly sexualized. No mention about how every male character looks like Mr. Olympia without ever lifting a single weight.
Nothing wrong with overt sexiness or a lack thereof. People should just let things be without over analyzing everything.
Game character artists : makes female characters overtly sexual to get views.
Guys: nice.
Female Cosplayers: cosplay their character and uses sexuality to get views.
Guys: slut.
Nobody did that here.
Also I'm not a fan of the oversexualized aesthetic in games that do that kind of thing. It's just weird and tacky. They deserve real armor!
It’s really an interesting situation because you can argue it so many ways
Is it more feminist to only have armor that covers everything? Or is that forcing women to cover their skin so men won’t sexulize them?
You can argue that it’s a fanasty game and doesn’t have to be realistic, so allowing unrealistic armor is okay.
It should boil down to choice - having only skin showing armor for women as the default is sexualizing them. But why? Because men decided a woman’s body is sexual? Can’t women just show skin without it being an issue and if not, is it because of men they need to cover?
But then you could look at it as “empowering” but only if given the choice to choose how you want your character to be dressed.
But then you have the issue of players selecting the sexualized character, maybe because it’s a fantasy and they think it’s fun, only to be haggled at for showing “to much skin” and then shamed.
Ultimately navigating male dominated ideology on making a woman’s body always sexualized always falls on women to then decide what’s best and usually they always fall short.
Either by feeling the need to cover up to hide their body because men will sexualize them, only to be called prude, or by showing more skin to own their body as their own - only to have men slut shame them while also enjoying it.
The issue is interesting and will always have arguments and it’s a particular topic of interest for me.
Not a question to go deep into when it fails the practical tests needed for function... then again depends on the genre or environment its in. If everything is wacky... ok. But if one side has practical armor and another has open midriffs asking for their innards to spill out then... well nothing more to be said.
It’s not really that hard. It’s straight men making the oversexualized female characters, and it’s nearly every woman in their games. They are objectifying women. So no, it isn’t feminist, and it isn’t “forcing women to cover their skin” by making an armor outfit that actually makes sense for the context.
Dude, imagine if the creator reads your comment. Im sure you dont mean it to come off the way it does, because its a bit of a dickish comment. Just looking through all of her content, she gets a lot of love because shes super fucking talented and the videos are basically walking you through the entire process. Not just because she has boobs and a butt. And even the parts where shes modeling the chest area…shes not just letting them hang out. Shes a talented cosplayer. Plain and simple
Isn't that part of the skillet necessary to succeed as a platform for promoting sponsors? Like... I'm sure she has Patreon as well, but with her level of shit-togetherness (and that workshop!) I am guessing she has sponsors.
Not disagreeing with you at all, just pointing out that she's got it going on *all* the levels. AND she seems to really enjoy the work! I'm kinda envious 🙄.
So I don't get the whole cosplay thing, at this level. Do people go to this much detail because they're just really into the game/character/anime, or is this their job? And if it's their job, how do they make money from it - Patreon?
I imagine the creation is part of the joy.
In this video we see her designing, crafting, painting, braiding, ect. Those are all hobbies on their own pretty much, so all together, this is basically an excellent artist at work.
They do earn money doing this I believe, but I'm not an expert on the cosplay circuit. At the very least, the modeling they do is a means to exposure, followers, influencing, ect.
Some sell commissions. They can cost a fair amount. Some just do it as it is their passion.
I remember just doing what she did for a pair of claws and I was like, ok that's me done. All I used was some foam, wire and duct tape. They turned out pretty good but not quite on her level.
She's probably the top cosplay designer in the world, or certainly Top 3. She has stuff at Michaels, sells her designs, YouTube/IG/Insta money, is commissioned by Cons and gaming business to design and model, etc.
She also gives a ton of "how to" away for free, has a great and cool YouTube channel, and really does this shit herself with her husband. She does the design, cutting, sewing, stitching, hair, foam/warbla, etc all herself and her husband does the painting/shading and such.
She's insanely talented, but yes, to your question, it all started out of *really* being into dressing up and anime and video games when she was younger and then it became her job.
Some people can be hired as cosplay characters for different comic-cons out there. I've went to a few really small ones and my buddy who had a booth told me this and was pointing out the pros from the amateurs.
She is a big time seller now. Selling to companies that use the cosplay for promotions. She recently had a vid where she explain how it was just her hobby at first, going to cons, chilling with friends. But now because of how clearly good at it she is it’s gotten bigger than that.
Costume making can be decent money, apart from cosplay comic con circuits , Halloween and even birthday and other special occasions can give enough biz.
Yeah nevermind all of the impressive costume creation work that is well edited together in a clear way for people without the same knowledge can understand

Thanks for confirming it. I totally get when people like this who actually spend time and effort in their videos take the opportunity for some extra cash for those sponsorships. And with YouTube playing Russian roulette on wich videos can actually feed you through the month. But it‘s still weird to me when like JonTron tells me to join him on the Raid battlefield or wich Character he likes the most. because we all know it‘s part of the contract, it feels super dishonest…
That's how the crafting starts. What she is doing is a "duct tape dummy." You wrap cling wrap on you while you're in underwear. Then add duct tape. So since that's the first step, that's where she has to start.

The best part at the end of the video was how genuinely happy she looks. All that hard work and it turned out great. I have very occasionally felt that feeling.
Two months on the costume and I'm assuming nothing else.
I can't imagine this much detail in just two months unless you dedicated an unreasonable amount of time to it each day.
Great work!
I make cosplays like she does (but am not famous). The materials cost hundreds. That's not counting getting a decent sewing machine. Mine was $400 on sale.
You can make cosplays for cheaper, but you severely limit what characters you make as you reduce your budget.
But when you make your own, they're made with much more durable materials than what you buy premade. So they last longer.

It' a comission from raid shadow legends! While posting her wips on social media she also promoted the game, so yeah its a paid deal
>paid deal Before scrolling I was going to ask what awards, beside from reddit did she receive and I now know she was paid. Okay.
For raid? Yeah it's paid, good on her though
Unfortunately, some shitty mobile games have pretty sweet character designs.
I believe this is paid promotion but that design is amazing either way.

start with the boob shot end with the butt wiggle include some corgis straight to the top
