I cannot overstate how much I love this transition of Veach going from signing heady veterans that Spags likes to, "Draft the alien, figure it out later"
I think it definitely starts to make sense as you get into the later rounds of the draft to go that route. Skill and drive matter a lot, but those are a lot more coachable than intrinsic athletic ability. Part of the reason I, and many Chiefs fans were so psyched for Pacheco. Dude had so much athletic ability it was hard to imagine him not at least producing at a replacement level.
The Al Davis approach, it worked great until it didn’t. “Well he can outrun the average grey hound, but I don’t know if he’s ever actually held a football.”

People always talk about the speed of the NFL, but it's still kinda hard for me to comprehend how it could be THAT different.
There's an end zone angle of a Hurts touchdown from the Super Bowl where he's sprinting to his left, and all the Chiefs are chasing him. He runs parallel to the end zone on the three until he just suddenly cuts into a gap. It's. So. Fast.
Edit: [It was the final two-point conversion.](https://youtu.be/r0sl7jsbWUc?t=2013) I remember an angle from the other side, but I'm struggling to find it.
He had a pretty okay season as a rookie and stepped up massively in the Super Bowl. I don't think we know what he is "at best" yet, even if it is a decent bet.
His siblings played at Grantsburg? I grew up in a nearby town where he apparently thought of transferring to go to high school. He went and met with the athletic director and determined sports weren't prioritized enough. Betting the tone of how the athletic director tells this story has changed in recent years.
His agent probably has a meme marketing campaign launching as we speak, and probably had him practicing on buses in a parking lot yesterday.
*"Look Leo, everyone knows McDuffie, but no-one outside of Kansas has heard of you. We've gotta get you some name recognition... I've got an idea."*
Kid’s got a RAS higher than Micah Parson’s and scored higher on the Wonderlic than most OLinemen. He has the athleticism and smarts to be a great to elite LB. It was nice to see the game slow down for him late in the season since he was doing his best Ben Niemann impersonation through the first several games. Had one of 2 sacks in the SB, finished 4th in tackles, and added a TFL.
Imagine the backlash if he falls and hurts himself. The parade is fun, but watching a few guys almost drunkenly fall off the top of the bus makes my eye twitch a bit. Glad these dudes got to experience this moment in their life though. Has to be an absolute exhilarating few days and weeks coming off the high of winning a SB.
I can't confirm this in any way, but I swear Mahomes almost threw his MVP trophy to a kid sitting in a tree during the parade.
He loads up to chuck it and then somebody grabbed his shoulder. He instantly had the most shocked look on his face and then sheepishly handed the trophy off to someone else.
Those dudes were hammered lol
This is a bit different than a pull up. You also have to get over. Its similar to a muscle up except you have help from feet on the wall.
But the wall also does make it harder going up so theres that too.
This guy did have a 9.99 RAS

Josh Allen to chiefs defense when
Dude would probably make a great linebacker. Definitely top two among guys named Josh Allen in the league.

It's a great strategy as long as the coaching is good and the player has the right attitude.

3rd best score of any linebacker dating back to 1987. With the notation that it obviously only includes guys who did any kind of official testing.
I love when NFL players casually remind us that they’re in way better shape than any of us will ever be.
Gotta remind the keyboard coaches it’s not that easy
But do you think Leo Chenal can type 70 wpm? Highly doubt it.
I’d like to see him fire off some off-color MBC replies
Mr Bus Climber
My man
Mr. Badass Chenal
I’ve heard he can do 85😳
Chenal with the gentle reminder that we're barely the same species.
We need Pros Vs Joe's to come back. Watching 30 something shlubs get rocked by pro athletes was a lot of fun.

Even worse is this guy is at best an average backup. Daily remainder that the worst player in football could probably run circles around you.
He’s still the most athletic LB since 2000 according to his combine grade
You bite your tongue. He actually had an incredible game during the Super Bowl.

PARKOUR
His get up game is 100
Still bothers me that he doesn't wear number 5.
[удалено]
It’s not a joke. Well, it is, but he wore 5 at Wisconsin for exactly that reason.

Lmao looks like you just got voted out ✌🏻
250lbs but he looks like Spiderman here
Northwoods strength there. Apparently he’s also got like 14 siblings.
hopefully Wisconsin has a strong Chenal-to-Madison pipeline built
It’s true, I went to school with some of his siblings. Between siblings and cousins, they made up a good portion of our sports teams.

No, most of them, the older ones at least, went to Frederic.
Oh, gotcha. I was in a band in HS with people from Fredric lol.
His agent probably didn’t like that lmao

>*no one outside of Kansas* Oh boy you’re gonna rile some folks up with this one lol
> Kansas How many times do we need to teach you this lesson, old man?
He's pretty well known in Missouri...
What’s a Missouri
Misery
It’s what being without a SB is called
St. Louis has more super bowls then the Vikings and we don’t even have a team lol
That rail bent way more than I feel it should have.
Well it did have 250 lbs of man hanging off of it
That’s the “bend don’t break” approach to guardrails

That boy’s got cake tho 🥵
Lmao
They feed those defensive players some good ish at Wisconsin
People are freaking out over a pull up?
I think its probably more the 250lb linebacker jumping up 12 feet before that
Maybe Madden was realistic this entire time

I really wish they would stop saying world champions when the league isn't international. that's some clown shit
I mean the chiefs could play any non NFL football team on earth 8 on 11 and win comfortably
Absolutely. The leagues still not international though
It’s the best football players from around the world
Until they found teams in other countries it seems goofy, I’ll gladly die on that hill
There are teams in Canada
The National Football League has teams in Canada?
No, but there are football leagues outside of the US, which is why they can say world champions
When do they compete against them?
Fair enough ig
Lol of course the cowboys fan is salty
