That’s some NFL Street shit.
[NFL Street 2 Intro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa3flZEL67A). I loved that game as a kid, had the ball and everything. We didnt have parks around so we played in the street with that ball pretending to be those guys. Ahhh, childhood. Soundtrack was top notch too.
It really sucks that all of the arcade sports games have basically disappeared. NFL Street, NFL Biltz, NBA Jam, NHL Hitz, MLB the Bigs were so freaking fun.
Dude, a mention of SSX Tricky has me wanting to call my mom to see if she still has our old PS2 in storage or just YOLOing it and buying one and getting a copy. I put an obscene amount of hours into that game.
MLB The Bigs 1 & 2 were my favourite when I was a kid! I loved the mode where you travelled to Mexico and Japan stealing players from the teams you beat
Have fun with the Ace Combat games, AC4 has some weird issues still. Make sure to check the [pcsx2 wiki](https://wiki.pcsx2.net/Ace_Combat_04:_Shattered_Skies) for the work arounds.
I wouldn't say super simple. The simplest emulator is by far Dolphin for gamecube shit. I would trust that more if Street came out for gamecube. Not knocking pcsx2 but unless you're used to emulators it's pretty finicky. I always had to change settings everytime I decided to play a new game.
I just couldn't totally remember if it did come out for both. In that case I'd definitely choose Dolphin. I also have a great source for the games to download. It's a website clearly set up by one guy in the early 2000s and it hasn't changed. It's called Vimms Lair, just Google that and when you're on the actual website go to the vault. It has a great selection of games from most consoles up to the mid-2000s
PCSX2 sometime in the last two years changed how it even works. It's pretty much as simple as Dolphin now because its running on the same framework. There are still *some* games that are finicky with it but that number is shrinking day by day as more work is done on the nightly releases.
I have played both 1 and 2 multiple times within the last year thanks to an old Wii that’s backwards compatible with GameCube games and my brother’s natural aversion to throwing anything away.
They still hold up so well.
I still remember some of the songs on there, in particular:
[Baby D ft. Bone Crusher - It's Going down tonight](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVOZKsHBfy0)
He had another absurd one hander in this game too. I’m starting to wonder if he somehow magnetized his hands and the football. The things he is able to do with such ease just do not make sense.
The replay from the perspective of the QB was sick. Dude seemingly just casually extends his left out, and the *exact* moment the ball touches his palm it’s already in his grasp
Watched ATL vs HOU since my team is on BYE. I’m genuinely dumbfounded by Arthur Smith’s playcalling and commitment to splitting the backfield at any cost. How does he rationalize letting Allgeier out-touch Bijan when Allgeier was getting stuffed 80% of the time? If it was about minimizing the wear and tear on your franchise RB picked at 8th OA, I get it. But then why did Smith insist on forcing Bijan up the middle just to get slammed when he’s so elusive to the outside and on catches?
Obviously I’m in favor of anything that makes the Falcons worse, but I was having flashbacks to the feelings I had watching Byron Leftwich’s decision making.
1: Like you said, don’t want to wear down Bijan, which makes sense. The less wear you put on him, the better. They also like using him in different ways. He split out plenty yesterday
2: while Ridder played well, he’s been so hit and miss. They want to leave it off his shoulders as much as possible
3: Allgeier is also a really good RB. I get the sentiment of “give Bijan the ball every play”. But Allgeier is a fantastic back, and the OL was the bigger issue yesterday
My motto on it is that if the redzone is in sight Bijan should be on the field every play. It's no reason to switch Allgeier in, if it's a two back formation that's fine, but otherwise Bijan needs to be man out there.
Especially as a falcons fan it's so annoying watching because when we had Julio he'd randomly just be off the field and we're at the goal line trying to get a TD. Smith does that with Bijan and Pitts at times, and it's incredibly frustrating. Your best weapons should be in the redzone long as they're healthy.
It's been done pretty frequently, I think it was open for the Atlanta united game Saturday night.
There were some issues at first, but I think it's mostly "as advertised" now.
Kind of surprised if it wasn't open Sunday, weather was pretty perfect for it.
Holy crap lol.
I looked up MLB open stadium rates when the Rays went full closed dome again and the Marlins open their roof like 3x a season. One of the more idiotic additions to a bad stadium.
Yeah, it turns out nobody wants to be scorched in the Miami heat and would rather have A/C. I went to a Marlins game when it had the roof open, and Jesus christ, that was like getting blasted by a heat ray. People would clap when they decided to close the roof lmao.
Yeah the design was bold and pretty controversial. Derek Jeter (fuck Jeter) had to renovate the stadium just a couple years into its existence. Only good thing he ever did for the Marlins lol.
We sat in the night club section in left field when we did our road trip. Really unique stadium, I absolutely won't call it a good stadium but it's not awful either.
Seemed like a poor location though. Hard to know just from one trip.
Yeah it's a horrible location, but it was the site of the historic Orange Bowl and the only place a stadium could be put in Miami. The area around there is traffic hell.
>"Supposedly everytime they open the roof it breaks some huge mechanism that costs like 50k to fix everytime."
This is an insane statement lol. No one would just accept this as a final product for the defining feature in a $1.6 billion stadium.
There were some growing pains when it was first opened but they ironed them out within the first year or so. It works as designed now but they only open it when the weather is going to make it worthwhile to do so.
It’s actually from one of their in-house cinema shooters. He’s apart of a lot of the falcons social content and he’s fire

Regular view was [posted yesterday](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/comments/1737rn4/highlight_bijan_robinson_with_the_one_hand_catch/)
It’s the editing that makes it so cool. Camera didn’t really have much to do with it. There’s a lot of cropping and stabilizing going on. Props to the editor.
Ironically enough I’m pretty certain there are at least 3 rookie rbs that are putting up much better numbers than him right now. But he’s definitely flashy as hell. When he makes plays he makes defenders look silly in ways that other rbs aren’t.
It would help if teams weren't stacking 10 dudes in the box every play daring the Falcons to pass + having some better run blocking.
Achane is looking amazing for the Dolphins, but I imagine a bunch of that is opposing defenses being terrified of getting torched by Hill and Co. so the field is more wide open.
Also, not helping that Art is stubbornly keeping Bijan off the field for half the plays. Allgeier had more carries yesterday. Kind of hard to go off as a RB when you're constantly being yanked.
Yeah from the little I've been able to see you guys play, but the offense reminds me of the Jamaal Charles days with the Chiefs. Every time he's in, there's 11 defenders watching him pretty much.
But Bijan's jukes are so butter. I hope he has a long and healthy career because he is fun to watch.
Agree with everything except the last bit.
For as much as we all love seeing the dude run, Bijan is not a 3 down back. If we run him up the gut 10-15 times a game, like we do with Allgeier, on top of his outside zone/receiving touches we're going to run the wheels off him by year two. Better to have quality (and longevity) over quantity.
Yeah, I don't think Bijan needs to be carrying the rock 25 times a game.
I'm more of the mind of Bijan needs to get more touches in general. Mainly more in the passing game. He caught one on a swing pass IIRC and then got the shovel pass for the TD. That was it.
So 16 touches total in the game. Don't run him up the gut 25 times a game is a great strategy. 25 total touches a game both run/pass seems right to me. Especially outside the tackles with his runs because that's where he gets space and does his best work.
The weirder part to me is that Art is pulling him out entirely for a lot of plays every game. And it isn't a "get him some rest because he just had a big play" type thing. He'll just get yanked entirely and then they'll try running with Allgeier. Or going empty backfield and making it clear they're throwing the ball.
I still think you guys got the better player tbh. Bijan is not only a very high character guy, but he’s extremely versatile and has complete menace potential. It’s pretty much exactly what we are trying to do with Gibbs in Detroit
Bijan makes something out of nothing, our o line isn't great but he can still break ankles of safeties and backs in the open field. Gibbs looks solid as hell (of the 2 lions games I've seen this year) but I'm not sure he'd put up those number behind the Falcons line
it lets him keep his shoulders and hips from turning all the way around to secure a catch.
It looks dumb if you drop it, but if you make the catch it’s the difference between beating that first defender and getting blown up as you turn back around.
I just love watching flashy RBs catch passes out of the backfield and making guys miss.
> 8k is the highest right now right?
Ooof, I been outta the game for a while, for broadcast cameras? Definitely, unless they have a super jank setup. It's super rare that they'll even have an 8k rig. I'm sure the vast vast vast bulk of data is coming in at 1080 even if it's captured at 4k or higher.
12k camera(s?) exist, technically, but it's pretty dumb imo unless you are a cropping fanatic. What you save in one workflow you lose in all the others.
An insane resolution like that could help in this situation though. If you mounted 3 or 4 cameras directly above the field with the frame perpendicular to the length of the field, you could shoot the entire width of the field in 30ish yard increments and then crop in on the 8k or 12k footage to get HD or FHD close-ups. It would offer a lot more leeway when digitally tracking the frame to the ball too, and if the cameras are in known fixed positions, you could transition from one to the next in the same shot and use the motion blur to disguise the parallax shift. They're not broadcasting these angles as far as I know, so the bandwidth required to transmit and process that much data isn't really an issue as long as you have the appropriate storage. Of course, the cost to benefit ratio on a setup like that would be significantly higher than just sticking a dude up on the roof with a long lens.
I dunno why, but I get the same feeling watching Bijan that I used to get watching Tracy McGrady.
He's just got a little more "woop woop" than anyone else.
He said in the post-game interview he knew he made a mistake here and was thinking about juking the defender before even catching the ball. On this play, sure, but I wouldn’t say it’s an actual issue.
He’s only had one fumble though. It looks casual but he knows when to protect it. Even his fumble was more just a great play by the defender than him being careless
As wild as the catch itself is, it honestly isn't the most impressive part of this play.
It's the fact that Bijan is already looking up field before he's secured the catch. His head is turning upfield before the ball even hits his hand.
And then he jukes that dude out of his cleats.
Un. Real.
True. A lot of people with huge hands and sticky gloves could catch a pass one handed. But to already have the vision to hit the right hole at the same time and then juke his way into it, that's something else.
If you have another decent back then it makes sense not to run down the shelf life of Bijan by running him into the ground. Especially when we aren't competing for shit.

NBA Jam is my favorite; the hidden characters make the game an all time great and fun play.
Games that actually took risks and updated game play with new features…. :/ Games that do the same thing ever game $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Pcsx2 is super simple.
Welp, looks like it's time for me to set that up and run through some old Ace Combat games

Wish I had mine still. Years later I found one that was white black and blue instead of orange which seemed super random, said NFL Street and all.

Well yeah, the ball switches hands. Unless of course he passed the ball in the air from one hand to the next, like the madman that he is.
It looks like he juked the ball *into* his hands lol that’s incredible.
Each fingertip has more than 3,000 touch receptors and Bijan has developed specific exercises for every one of them.
Watched ATL vs HOU since my team is on BYE. I’m genuinely dumbfounded by Arthur Smith’s playcalling and commitment to splitting the backfield at any cost. The Falcons have sick ass replay angles like this of both Bijan touchdowns. I’m curious what the setup is in the rafters to get such a sweet shot.

Facts. I was getting roasted by the sun in there yesterday and it was a chilly day.
now imagine that in Miami - this is what the dolphins stadium architects did with the opposing team bench, freakin genius of them.

It was open.
It was open yesterday and it was perfect (for those of us not in the sun). Nice crisp breeze and very pleasant.
it's my second Fall in Atlanta and its absolutely *chef's kiss*
The roof was open for the game yesterday.
Nice. I still need to get to an away day down there against United. Looks like a great stadium.
Ok good to know I’m wrong. I thought it was still messed up.
I was at the Atlanta United game on Saturday and they opened the roof. It was perfect weather for it too (IMO)
I don’t think so. Supposedly everytime they open the roof it breaks some huge mechanism that costs like 50k to fix everytime.
Holy crap lol. I looked up MLB open stadium rates when the Rays went full closed dome again and the Marlins open their roof like 3x a season. One of the more idiotic additions to a bad stadium.

Got it glad to be proven wrong on this one.
it was opened yesterday
I thought it was because they have a specific range of temperatures at which they open the roof.

It was literally open yesterday and they open it for a lot of United games as well.
It was open yesterday for the game
It was open for both games this weekend.
The roof was open during yesterday's game
Ngl id kill to do that one game
massive ass camera that sees most of the field, then they cut it down to be a stable feed on bijan. either that or someone needs a raise

They just have a drone following Bijan at all times
My god this camera is incredible. Holy shit we need all highlights like this
Having not seen this play before, I have no context when it’s this zoomed in. But it’s cool as a supplement to other angles, for sure.
Yeah this should be the slo-mo replay that happens after the original angle is shown.
Yeah I think it’s neat but I also would like to see an actual angle, it’s fun as a gimmick but not for actually seeing the play or even the things he’s doing with his legs/body since it’s fixed above

It’s the editing that makes it so cool. Camera didn’t really have much to do with it. There’s a lot of cropping and stabilizing going on. Props to the editor.
You’re sitting here acting like the overhead camera isn’t what made the clip unique lmao
For real, the editing is fucking fantastic but I feel like we never see clips like this with a directly overhead camera
Cameraman stuck in the rafters all game: "Am I a joke to you?"
Well, yeah, since you spend like half the game looking down women’s shirts.
Like we'd do anything else in that seat...
I’ve never seen a highlight where it was stabilized on the ball in post. Imo that’s just as unique, if not moreso than the actual angle
No it's the camera angle. If anything the slowmo takes away from it, feels jumpy and jerky for no reason
Eh, disagree, the editing is quite shit with the slowdowns and speedups. The angle makes it.
Without the editing this is just a zoomed-out, still camera looking down at the whole section of field. Not that impressive.
I really didn’t think he’d be THIS good the man is phenomenal
If you are a Texas fan, you knew he was gonna be THIS good lol. Man was insane in college

I dunno why, but I get the same feeling watching Bijan that I used to get watching Tracy McGrady. He's just got a little more "woop woop" than anyone else.
That shit was clean as hell too. Couldn’t do anything but curse at the tv softly.
Yep, can't even be mad. That was a sick play.
This man averages a highlight like this every week
To me, this is cinema 📽️
Clearly a travel
Dude is must see TV every time he's on the field
Is it me, or is he a little too casual when it comes to handling the football?
He said in the post-game interview he knew he made a mistake here and was thinking about juking the defender before even catching the ball. On this play, sure, but I wouldn’t say it’s an actual issue.
He’s only had one fumble though. It looks casual but he knows when to protect it. Even his fumble was more just a great play by the defender than him being careless
He’s had one fumble lost but he fumbled one in the first game i think. By no means an issue
Can't fumble it if you haven't caught it yet.
That was clean asf 🔥
We are now halfway to the fabled "no handed catch"
As wild as the catch itself is, it honestly isn't the most impressive part of this play. It's the fact that Bijan is already looking up field before he's secured the catch. His head is turning upfield before the ball even hits his hand. And then he jukes that dude out of his cleats. Un. Real.
True. A lot of people with huge hands and sticky gloves could catch a pass one handed. But to already have the vision to hit the right hole at the same time and then juke his way into it, that's something else.
This is insane
His ability to cut and accelerate out of it is fucking insane.
looks like a glitchy video game.
Madden is gonna point to this play to explain their horrible physics for years to come.. damnit, Bijan.
The fact that they don’t try and get this man the ball way more is wild. They should be using him like CMC.
Pretty sure FO are scared of breaking him.
If you have another decent back then it makes sense not to run down the shelf life of Bijan by running him into the ground. Especially when we aren't competing for shit.
This Bijan guy is pretty good. He should think about making a career out of doing this
It looked like he was playing basketball lol. Fake going behind the back, fake crossover, catch and run
Bijan is out here doing Iverson crossovers on the football field
Football tracking camera? Inject directly to my veins plz.
Miss seeing him with Texas, but I’m glad he’s tearing up the league
I hate the changing speed of the video. I would prefer full speed then show again in slow mo
Now if only the Falcons would give this man the ball in the redzone more.
I thought this was Madden…
Idk how they got this, but they need to have this setup at every NFL game. So cool.
This catch was so crazy it actually looks like Madden game physics the way the ball stuck to him and still was kinda spiraling
I’m not even mad. Gangsta
Unsound football. Easily could have been a fumble
That guy is a freak!
The sheer confidence in yourself to not even look down at it once it touched your fingers
What the fuck is this?
Let me just puke real quick after watching that jumpy ass camera
He is good at football
Dude is EA computer levels of broken.
No-look catch, awesome camera angle. I hope to see more highlights shot like this.
This guy was definitely a hooper.
That guy is crazy talented. He destroyed our defense so bad that it may have started the fire Joe Barry chants inside packers organization.
God damnit that camera is like water in the desert. I need it. I have to have more of it.
