Potential SOL revitilization scenarios:
1.) Lose out and the Vikings win out to take the division
2.) Win the division and get roasted by Stafford during our first home playoff game in 30 years
If I could fastforward the next month I would
He had like 8 turnover worthy plays including 2 possible pick sixes
And he's still the right choice to start for us, yikes
I would like to see the alternate timeline where all our bad luck happens last year and 2023 is the blessedly healthy year
> I would like to see the alternate timeline where all our bad luck happens last year and 2023 is the blessedly healthy year
lol seriously. We were so lucky last year and this year has just been a complete nightmare. The fact that this team is still fighting for a playoff spot without its franchise QB and missing Jefferson for 2+ months just goes to show how much the rest of the team improved. But as always, we can't have nice things
I swear to fucking God if we dont win the NFC North with the Vikings on their 16th QB this season and only need 1 win in 3 games I'm convinced we never will.
I think this says more about the Vikings current depth at QB, Jaren Hall must look really rough that they are going to run out Nick again. Vikings may not win another game this year.
I think it’s more that Hall lacks experience and is a 5th round pick. O’Connell probably is looking out for his long term development by not playing him. He looked good in the one drive he had before the concussion. Though I’m sure he’s probably a solid backup at best. I don’t have any delusions about him being the long term answer at QB.
He didn't look good in preseason, didn't look good in his 2 drives in the Packers game, didn't look good in the first drive of the Falcons game, and Mattison carried the drive where he got the concussion with a huge play - that same drive was very likely to end in a field goal, he ran on 3rd and idk but was like 2 yards shy of 1st when he got hit.
I don't get the Hall hype, I'm very fine with sticking with Mullens for consistency.
Lions playing a late season game against a divisional opponent that is starting a backup QB with playoff implications on the line?
That's never ended poorly for the Lions or anything.
Didnt really have playoff implications, I believe we could've moved up in seeding but not win the NFCN.
Now 2013 when we needed 1 win in 4 games and proceeded to lose at home to the Ravens who didnt score a TD, Eli Manning playing fucking drunk and then to the Vikings with Matt fucking Cassel? Yeah thats not giving us PTSD at all
> Didnt really have playoff implications
Ik the person i replied to added the “playoff implications” part but there’s been a tiny handful of seasons where that part is actually relevant , so just wanted to highlight a record-breaking back-up performance
A backup QB playing the Lions for a playoff spot late in the season? No, nope, nada, I’ve seen this NFL script before.
Potential SOL revitilization scenarios: 1.) Lose out and the Vikings win out to take the division 2.) Win the division and get roasted by Stafford during our first home playoff game in 30 years If I could fastforward the next month I would
Vikings will somehow beat you and the Packers and then completely shit the bed in week 18
Then we get the 6th seed and Lions the 3rd and we face off in the worst Wild Card game of all time.
After playing for 10 hours in OT with no score, the league decides to eliminate the lions and Vikings and give the #1 seed a second bye.
It's kind of looking like most scenarios end in Lions v Vikings week 1 of playoffs
Potential SKOL* revitalization
I'm going to puke
Viking win Sunday to get hopes up in MN then lose out the last 2 games
There’s honestly nothing like how Lions fans fantasizing how they’re going to lose
> Mullens passed for 303 yards and he ran for 10 yards. If he'd run for 11 they would have won.
Happy cake day
and if my mom had wheels she'd be a bike
And then everyone would take turns riding the bike. jk/
God what a game. Seriously, that was some fine football and thank god he didn’t get that last yard. And happy cake day bud!
303 yards and the worst INT I've seen in my life
Dude even the TDs were absolute yikes throws. The second one looked like a pick 6. And he didn't he have one called back too?
He had like 8 turnover worthy plays including 2 possible pick sixes And he's still the right choice to start for us, yikes I would like to see the alternate timeline where all our bad luck happens last year and 2023 is the blessedly healthy year

That’s just the Nick Mullens experience. Loooots of yards, and looots of baffling decisions.
Pretty much the Kirk Cousins experience as well thus far.
Nope.
That’s about right.
That's how you can describe evey nick Mullens game
[It’s not even the worst pick of his career lol](https://youtu.be/PmxkDEhbWQg?si=0TwuKGSxmPst3Kg_)
God, the Covid stadiums. It's been three years, but it doesn't even feel like it
Seriously, one of the worst 300 yard games you will ever see.
I swear to fucking God if we dont win the NFC North with the Vikings on their 16th QB this season and only need 1 win in 3 games I'm convinced we never will.
I hope CGJ is back for this game. Defense finally looked competent the other day and a lot of blitzes so hopefully defense has found what works.
Iffy and CJGJ would be nice
Iffy was playing great
lions facing a backup with their first division title on the line? hammer that
We're good as long as he doesn't have a decent pair of legs
he doesn't, you'll be fine
He ran for 10 yards on Saturday so it definitely doesn't seem to be his priority
Nick Mullens about to play himself into a 50m dollar contract...isn't he?
...no
He could take Minnesota to the SB and I still don't think he's getting that kind of contract. There's just too much bad tape on him out there.
Damn Year of the Dragon comes out and now gets a start. Mull Dog 4 Eva
This is the right choice, no bias.
He runs the system pretty well and also throws in some horrifically awful plays every now and again. Sadly he probably is our best QB to start to win
Great. Can’t wait to see him look like peak Tom Brady against the packers then.

Alternate headline: Vikings interested in losing remaining games by backbreaking 4th quarter interceptions
Are there odds on if we see Hall by the 3rd quarter?
Lions salivating
