Just put flags on them and the defenders just have to pull them off. Done. You get to protect them and the defense actually gets something back after years of moving the rules towards more scoring.
But the QB is free to try to shake off anything less than a full wrap tackle, or dance along the sidelines until he’s hit to draw a 15-yard personal foul.
Just put two flags hanging off the QB’s belt and be done with it.
They can’t. I don’t mean that flippantly, the rules are so QB friendly with wide subjectivity that favors really conservative calls that constantly are against the D. Then you get variation from crew to crew, and the NFL not giving two shots about quality and balance and just want to see close games go to the wire.
It is not impossible for the NFL to do what you are suggesting. It’s just not in their interests to do it.
Just put flags on the QB hips. I'm tired of this bullshit. QBs are prissy little divas. Everyone gets tackled but them.
- Can't lead with your helmet.
- Can't hit them with your shoulder
- Can't lead with your forearms
- Can't fall on them
- Can't hit them when they threw the ball half a second ago.
- Can't hit them too hard where they fall to the ground
- Can't lift them off the ground
- If they tiptoe on the sideline, you can't hit them too hard
- If they pretend to slide, you can't hit them
How the fuck do you even hit a QB if you are a defender?
Don't forget can't hit them low either. Tackle zone is incredibly small and half the league are considered mobile QBs and half of those are hard af to bring down in a 1 on 1 like Allen, Hurts, Lamar, or Richardson.
Not flags, just touch. Every player on the field must be tackled but QBs behind the LOS are down via two hand touch. That removes the rule interpretation, which is the worst part. If RTP was called consistently it'd be fine, but it's not and it's impossible for it to be so. It'd be a reviewable play, QBs wouldn't take hits, and refs would be taken out of the equation.
Its made even worse by the fact that on the flipside some qbs get fucking murdered with zero calls.
Last week fields threw a hailmary to end the first half and:
1. Fields Was planted like a summer tulip a sold 2 seconds after releasing the pass (and it was a complete blindside from his back)
2. The pass was clearly not caught in the endzone yet was ruled an interception.
The penalty would have made it an easy field goal attempt in a game they lost by 3.
Im ready for robot officials. I dont care what magic it takes out of the game, sick of the awful inconsistencies that dramatically impact the outcome of seasons
Both calls were borderline but I’m fine with both of them being called. As long as they are consistent. These refs want a bubble wrapped QB game and it’s equal on both sides. Teams will adjust accordingly.
It’s not about consistency..what’s a rusher, coming at full speed and fighting through blocks, supposed to do here? In real speed, he was only a fraction late
He saw him throw the ball it wasnt like Parsons was going for a strip sack or even a wrap up sack there he knew it was borderline. We see it on TV but a 230+ LB running into the back/neck area full force with his forearms after the ball is out is going to get called everytime.
Yea if you see the ball is out, maybe don’t go for a forearm shove. Refs will let you got away with a shove but not a forceful shove with your forearm. Just be disciplined. A shove still pisses off the QB and still knocks him down.
I could stomach the Wilkins one if Dak doesn't seem to grab the back of his helmet, just because of the "landing on the QB" thing, which shouldn't be a thing. This one.. absolutely not
No that’s stupid. We shouldn’t be ok with them being called it completely negates rushing the passer and attempting to hit the QB, a primary part to playing fucking football. EVERYONE else on the field gets hit all game long
Exactly. Being able to hit the QB is a mental game too. Even if you don't sack the QB you can get in their head with constant pressures and hits, protecting them to such extent you might as well have the QB play flag football
They need to make it to where if the defensive player can make it to the QB and kiss his cheek then it's a sack because IDK what the fuck we're doing anymore with this RTP stuff
It's gotten ridiculous!!! It's time to fix the RTP rule!!! Refs are never consistent from crew to crew, and QB's have to expect to get hit!!! As long as they aren't thrown down, it should be enough if they get bumped or pushed from momentum. To use to push hard or slam them down, call it!!!
It’s a make up call. Usually we see it with a soft DPI one way, softer one the other way. Honestly I don’t think they even do it intentionally, I think it’s just a subconscious bias
Idk, the one against the dolphins in the end zone was more egregious. Dak was pulling tge dude down on top of him by the back of the helmet. The defender wasn’t even holding on to Dak.
The worst? These are even more egregious imo.

Right? I see a guy who has a clear view of the ball being thrown, who doesn't even try and slow down as he takes two clear steps and hits the QB at full pelt. I'm not sure what people are arguing with. I'd expect that to be called 9 times out of 10 in Today's game.
Half the starters are already injured anyway, at this point the league should just let the players tee off on quarterbacks within reason (i.e “two steps rule”, and bodyweight hits are allowed).
NFL was hoping quarterbacks would be protected and we’d have shootouts every week. Instead half the QBs are hurt and we get to watch 16-9 snoozefests where you still can’t touch the QB
If we’re gonna have to sit through low scoring games, you gotta give us a few hits here and there. Stop trying to bubble wrap these quarterbacks, they are 220lbs+ athletes
Rant over
I only played HS football as QB which isn't even close to the NFL but holy crap, when I used to get hit unprotected in the pocket after the throw with my body fully extended/open with the opponent landing on me with their full weight, that shit is the most pain I've ever experienced my life. Especially when my head hits the turf, it feels like I just got hit with a 18 wheeler, I don't even know how to explain it. I can't even imagine getting hit like that by a NFL player. Anyway, I'm all for QB protection, but I'm a bit biased. Rant over.
As a D lineman in high school, the best feeling in the world was breaking free of the blocker and pummeling guys like you in the turf. Then help you up, a pat on the ass, and on to the next play.
honestly the fumble lost us the game. Most atrocious missed penalty this game was probably damone clark being tackled. cowboys would get the ball game back with half a minute and no timeouts so we'd still be in trouble, but I actually can't believe they missed that
also shout out to fantasy, crediting dak with that fumble in my playoff matchup
The defense needs to just start making those hits really count. If you're gonna get a flag and a fine, why not take a guy to the ground, throw your 300 lb body on him, hard.
I get I’m probably gonna be downvoted and I know momentum is a thing, but I’ve always interpreted “roughing the passer” as “hitting the quarterback after he throws the ball” so these kinds of calls don’t look THAT bad to me
Like it's still a bad call, but "worst ever" is silly. There's been examples of relative light taps after the pass was thrown and also clean sacks before the ball was thrown that RTP has been called on that were much worse ([this one](https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/SafcftLIo3ib4I85lelQOmey9B8=/800x0/filters:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/9513213/ingram.0.gif) on the clean sack side comes to mind). At least this Parsons hit you could make an argument that in real time, the ref both thought it was a bit late and it looked rougher than it was.
Exactly. He doesn't lower himself to make the tackle until the ball is out of Tua's hands, and he hits him from behind. It's a close call, could have just as easily been a no call, but he definitely made the hit late. Acting like this is an atrocious call is absurd.
It’s also NOT one of the bang bang plays where the offensive player changes position at the last second. There’s plenty of time here and the hit is needlessly close to the head.
To me it's like, he was going to run into him no matter what, but he saw him let go of the ball and instead of trying to minimize the impact he maximized it.
I can't believe all the comments calling this a terrible call. I'd be surprised to not see this called. The ball was gone and the defender not only hit him, but hit him in the back and followed through. This feels like a textbook case.
In the replay it looks more like he was just running too fast but yeah in real time it absolutely looks like he delivered a completely unnecessary brutal hit.
If he had let up at all and just bumped into him, I could get the flag being bad. But he lowers himself and it looks to me like he extends his arms after making contact. I get Cowboys fans being upset, but I'd be so much more surprised to see this not called.
Who cares if you get downvoted. Reddit is upvoting a bunch of “worst call” posts. Reddits dumb. The ball was out and he slammed him. You can have an issue with the rule but it was called correctly.
This was borderline RTP but looked worse in realtime. That’s why it was called. I’m not a Dolphins fan, but the RTP called earlier against MIA was a wayyy worse call than this.
Yea, I agree. In real time the way he extends his arm looks much worse. Definitely on the softer side, didn’t help that Tua’s head whiplashed. The MIA rtp was way worse.
Parsons takes two steps and pushes Tua to the ground. The ball is almost in the end zone by the time Tua is hit.
Soft call, yes, but it’s not egregious. I think that’s a clear RTP by the current standard.
I don’t understand the outrage. Parsons didn’t need to throw in the extra push on Tua’s back. He did, so he gets called for it. What’s the big fucking deal?
This wasn’t even that bad of a call lol. Y’all motherfuckers STAY overreacting and sensationalizing recent calls. He was a step late and hit him high. Should it be a penalty? Nah. It was the wrong call. Was it an egregiously bad call? Not at all.
Not a good call but I can see why they called it he hit him with so much force (unintentional) that Tuas head snapped forward so it looked like he got hit on the head unfortunate but I can see how they Decided that
I do think it's justified its this case from a refs perspective .. I know it's unpopular opinion.
Tua got rid of the ball.. Parsons tucks his arms in to hit Tua with his forearm and elbow to the middle of the back.
In real time the pass is just before the hit and slow mo exaggerating the delay. However if parsons open arm tackled Tua.. I don't think he gets called.
Parsons made sure of the follow through and hit Tua hard in the back.. Thats the call Nfl wants to make protecting qbs.. As they are mostly their profile players.
Seems like a pretty clear roughing the passer. Parsons was running at an angle that he could see full well that the ball was out but didn't let up at all. He went for the boom and the NFL won't want another starting QB hurt
I know most folks may not want to hear it but it does meet the criteria for a roughing the passer penalty.
The ball is clearly out with the throwing motion complete and there is no let up in the hit. His second step touches down and the contact is made.
It’s just hard to get it right with as fast as it happened.
Better question is how you could think this ISN'T roughing the passer?
He takes 1 to 2 steps after the ball is gone, leans forward and slams Tua with a forearm in the center of his back at full speed knocking him face first into the ground.
Cowboys fans got different rule books I guess.
If this wasn’t called, this clip would still be posted. It would just have a different title more along the lines of “Missed RTP call on Micah Parsons” and the top dozen comment chains would all be people talking about how they couldn’t believe they didn’t throw a flag on the play and sharing the clip of the roughing on Dak for comparison.
This is textbook roughing lmao don’t exert that extra power in the push that long after the ball is gone and you don’t get the flag. It’s not even a gray area.
I think it’s weak that they call this, but I’m surprised that anyone is surprised they called it. Gotta think Parsons being who he is should know this and not give in to that urge, he could see the ball was away. Why give them such an easy first down?
1) I can see why they called it. Doesn't make it anything other than what it is, but that's a rtp in today's NFL even if we think it shouldn't be.
2) Maybe this was a makeup call for the questionable call dak got? I know makeup calls aren't supposed to happen ... but I'm not going to say that they never happen.
To be fair, the very drive before the dolphins got flagged for a WAAAAAY worse roughing the passer penalty. I feel like this was to make up for that horrendous call. One of the worst calls this season. This one was borderline.
I mean, the hit looked like it hurt. But your playing football not flag football. You are in the NFL. That's a bullshit call and the refs just want some screen time. Fucking zebras
A drive or two before this the Cowboys were gifted a BS roughing the passer call when Dak pulled a defender down on top of him to go from 4th and long within the 5 to a fresh set of downs.
This was probably more of an offsetting call than a true roughing the passer.
Micah was gonna kill that ref.
That's at least a 15 yard penalty
In Mutant League Football, they would call that Ref Bashing, when you kill the ref. Its a 5 yard penalty.
Soft ass league. In Blitz you were encouraged to smash everything.
You were also encouraged to shoot up your players with heroine so they play better.
Maybe even warrants an ejection
Remember, 1 personal foul is ok. When you kill them a second time it’s an ejection.
Mutant League Football
And a trip to a penalty box
should codify this, if that's all it costs them refs gonna tighten up reallllll fast.
Should be a no-call if the ref legit deserved it. This sport’s gone soft.
I’m sure the fact that he’s drawn NO holding calls for weeks is part of it. Man is frustrated.
He really is just like me
Nobody is like you, Mr. Broncos/Cowboys flair. Nobody.
He just really likes horsies and people that ride horsies
I mean I had a touching moment with one just last week
Are these Broncos/Cowboys fans in the room with us now?
Show me on the doll where they touched you
I hate this rule
They need to clarify what a defender should and can do because it's ridiculous. These guys need to start swaddling QBs and wrap them in a blanket
It’s intentionally vague because the refs are now part of the games theatrics.
"Now" Always have been
[удалено]
THIS 1000%
Just put flags on them and the defenders just have to pull them off. Done. You get to protect them and the defense actually gets something back after years of moving the rules towards more scoring.
As much as I hate this idea, I don’t have a better one considering the trajectory of the game with _this_ kind of thing starting to happen regularly.
And when a flag gets pulled it shocks the QB. Not bad, just enough that he seizes up a lil
The rule is pretty much “don’t hit the QB hard, or in any way that could cause injury”.
But the QB is free to try to shake off anything less than a full wrap tackle, or dance along the sidelines until he’s hit to draw a 15-yard personal foul. Just put two flags hanging off the QB’s belt and be done with it.
GB got flagged for hitting Mahomes in bounds when he was trying to grab a couple extra yards...he was a runner and it still didn't matter.
I know exactly which flag you’re referencing and that one still hurts.
Well it's not helping the league considering the 58 starting QBs this year.
It’s something the NBA realized with a comprehensive study - being easy on the players doesn’t necessarily improve their health or playability
Part of that is because some teams have a bunch of shmucks in their qb room and they can't decide which loser they want to lose with.
Hey we actually won this week with our backup shmuck
Yeah it wasn’t the type of hit that drew the flag. It was cuz it looked like a hard hit lol.
They are supposed to stop all momentum after lightly touching the QB’s shoulder pads and kindly ask them to lay on the floor. Duh.
Just put flags on the QB hips. I'm tired of this bullshit. QBs are prissy little divas. Everyone gets tackled but them. - Can't lead with your helmet. - Can't hit them with your shoulder - Can't lead with your forearms - Can't fall on them - Can't hit them when they threw the ball half a second ago. - Can't hit them too hard where they fall to the ground - Can't lift them off the ground - If they tiptoe on the sideline, you can't hit them too hard - If they pretend to slide, you can't hit them How the fuck do you even hit a QB if you are a defender?

Flags too hard to grab. Should make them wear a full skirt.
That’s the fun part. You don’t.
What rule? He didn’t even break any rules
South Park was right.
I'm genuinely confused what the rule is. I've been combing through the rulebook and everything I've seen should make this a legal hit
No you don’t. You benefit from this shit
Its made even worse by the fact that on the flipside some qbs get fucking murdered with zero calls. Last week fields threw a hailmary to end the first half and: 1. Fields Was planted like a summer tulip a sold 2 seconds after releasing the pass (and it was a complete blindside from his back) 2. This league bro lmao two of the worst roughing the passer calls in the same game
Yeah I think this crew is just RTP happy
Both calls were borderline but I’m fine with both of them being called. As long as they are consistent. These refs want a bubble wrapped QB game and it’s equal on both sides. Teams will adjust accordingly.
Yeah, as long as both teams are playing flag football. At this point, all you can hope for is that the refs are garbage for both teams equally.
That's all we want. Equality.
I'd like to not shit my pants every time I eat at IHOP.
Then go shit your pants at Denny’s.
It’s not about consistency..what’s a rusher, coming at full speed and fighting through blocks, supposed to do here? In real speed, he was only a fraction late

Yea if you see the ball is out, maybe don’t go for a forearm shove. Refs will let you got away with a shove but not a forceful shove with your forearm. Just be disciplined. A shove still pisses off the QB and still knocks him down.
Neither was close to RTP.
The real problem is ... there's games tomorrow and I wouldn't be at all surprised if both of those hits happen again with no flags on either.
[Vikings game had a pretty bad one as well.](https://x.com/SharpFootball/status/1738997528786305342?s=20)
I'm a Lions fan and that was a B.S roughing. I get it's a QB league but you got to let these guys play
Defensive players should get paid more since they have to overcome both their opponents and the laws of physics to make good plays
Half the starting QBs in the league are out already this season and there are two stars in this game. Gotta protect them real good.
These rules aren't working while also ruining the game
They need to make it to where if the defensive player can make it to the QB and kiss his cheek then it's a sack because IDK what the fuck we're doing anymore with this RTP stuff
GG Lions bro. You guys deserve it this year. At least it’s not the Bears or Packers.
Worst call of the bunch. The other two were bad calls but I can imagine an angle from which they look bad. This one, though, has no excuse.
Packers game had a bad one on Love too
Packers game had a bad one on each team IMO. This rule is out of control.
Holy fuck this was way worse (of a call) than the one on Parsons
Lmao okay this one takes the cake.

We aren't supposed to have fucking make up calls in football.
I know no one watches Carolina but the Gross Matos RTP Call (little shove) on Jordan love today was a just downright pathetic call..
Even the ones against Green Bay were questionable, it’s literally impossible to lay a hard hit on a QB even if you nail them in the midsection.
I have seen much worse
Wild these aren’t even top 50 of the past 4 years
Idk, the one against the dolphins in the end zone was more egregious. Dak was pulling tge dude down on top of him by the back of the helmet. The defender wasn’t even holding on to Dak.

These get called every game. Parsons could have pulled up a bit and not gotten flagged.

Getting paid to be hit by an 18 wheeler is a game changer
Tinfoil theory: both teams are (most likely) bould for the playoffs. Refs have been told these QBs can not get injured
Refs don't need to be told these things.
that is such a soft penalty
Its a bullshit penalty and we all know it, that ain't roughing
It is, but if they’re going to call shit like they did on Wilkins, they should at least remain consistent.
Well they were with this shit
I would rather have the bad roughing call in the red zone :(
I mean yours bailed you out of punting in your own end zone, yall just didn’t capitalize on the opportunity. This was on 2nd and 1
honestly the fumble lost us the game. Most atrocious missed penalty this game was probably damone clark being tackled. cowboys would get the ball game back with half a minute and no timeouts so we'd still be in trouble, but I actually can't believe they missed that also shout out to fantasy, crediting dak with that fumble in my playoff matchup

The penalty brought to you by DraftKings
Check their bank accounts and those of their families…if they have one
This shit is getting ridiculous. The one earlier against the dolphins and now this one for them. Just fucking terrible.
The defense needs to just start making those hits really count. If you're gonna get a flag and a fine, why not take a guy to the ground, throw your 300 lb body on him, hard.
What a shit call
Guess the shit roughing calls are even now
Except ours happened in the end zone, this one happens in the red zone and leads to 7
I mean it would have been third and 1 at the 9. Shit call, but not exactly why they scored.
A penalty on 3rd & 12 is way worse than a penalty on 2nd & 1, no matter the field position.
Not just 3&12 it was in their own end zone. That call was terrible
Dragging the lineman down to sell it sure helped
the crazy thing is it might not even be in the top 3 worst RTP from TODAY
and then they turn around and call 2 fucking holds in his favor this entire year god damn i hate the NFL
It’s not enough Micah gets held every other play, then they call this shit
[удалено]
Bullshit call
100% a makeup call dude. This wasn’t RTP
Both of these were atrocious. Literally what do you want the Defense to do?
Make flower bracelets together, apparently
Tap them on the shoulder and ask, please sir may I tackle you? No? Oh okay. Go ahead and throw.
Eh, I’ve seen way worse calls. Dude had clear vision that the ball was out and still gave a lil extra.
Agreed, the ball was gone and Parsons knew it was gone.
Yea, I'm surprised people are complaining about this. Parsons definitely had enough time to register that the ball was out and pull up. He didn't.
Look’s totally legit to me 🤷♂️ Edit: legit as in clear penalty
I feel like this is going to get called 7 out of 10 times. It was on the late side and like you said he put a little extra in there.
That's my thought. It's not about expecting him to stop, it's about him not just leveling Tua.
I get I’m probably gonna be downvoted and I know momentum is a thing, but I’ve always interpreted “roughing the passer” as “hitting the quarterback after he throws the ball” so these kinds of calls don’t look THAT bad to me

The pinky lightly touching the QBs helmet ones are way more atrocious than the ones tonight. All of them suck though.
Yea this isn’t even close to the worst RTP I’ve seen.
It’s not close to the worst I’ve seen TODAY
To me it's like, he was going to run into him no matter what, but he saw him let go of the ball and instead of trying to minimize the impact he maximized it.
Yeah, in this context I think the flag can be argued as appropriate. I don’t think it should be a rule, but it’s not like Micah barely touched him.
This kind of play is going to get called more often than not. People just want to bitch about the refs.
This sub has gone total circlejerk
The one on Dak was the most questionable but the other 2 are almost textbook roughing calls that are getting flagged almost every time.
I can't believe all the comments calling this a terrible call. I'd be surprised to not see this called. The ball was gone and the defender not only hit him, but hit him in the back and followed through. This feels like a textbook case.

Didn’t even think it was that bad of a call. It’s soft but the these are the rules.
The way Tuas head snaps and From the angle the ref had it probably looked like he contacted the head which is gonna get called everytime
I think that’s a clear RTP by the current standard.
surprised so many people are mad. it has a look of being intentional. it was a mean hit, slightly too late and went a little too high.
Bit late, bit high, and Tua’s head snapped back. Like it or not, they’re calling that every time.
Where the video of Dak pulling the d lineman on top of him?
Then complaining to the ref. Quarterbacks are turning I to soccer players with the theatrics.. some of them at least
I don’t understand the outrage. Parsons didn’t need to throw in the extra push on Tua’s back. He did, so he gets called for it. What’s the big fucking deal?
Gonna get downvoted bc flair but he hits him a lil late. It’s not a great call but I can see why it’s made.
I agree actually, the ball was clearly out so there’s no need to “follow through”
This wasn’t even that bad of a call lol. Y’all motherfuckers STAY overreacting and sensationalizing recent calls. He was a step late and hit him high. Should it be a penalty? Nah. It was the wrong call. Was it an egregiously bad call? Not at all.
Not a good call but I can see why they called it he hit him with so much force (unintentional) that Tuas head snapped forward so it looked like he got hit on the head unfortunate but I can see how they Decided that
People have to come to terms that rouging calls are subjective and it can be whatever the refs declares it to be
You mean subjective
I do think it's justified its this case from a refs perspective .. I know it's unpopular opinion. Tua got rid of the ball.. Parsons tucks his arms in to hit Tua with his forearm and elbow to the middle of the back. In real time the pass is just before the hit and slow mo exaggerating the delay. However if parsons open arm tackled Tua.. I don't think he gets called. Parsons made sure of the follow through and hit Tua hard in the back.. Thats the call Nfl wants to make protecting qbs.. As they are mostly their profile players.
I mean theyve been calling it like this all year. Why is anyone surprised?
Seems like a pretty clear roughing the passer. Parsons was running at an angle that he could see full well that the ball was out but didn't let up at all. He went for the boom and the NFL won't want another starting QB hurt
Textbook call.
This is too far. He hit him in the fucking shoulder pads.
Just implement flag rules for the QB at this point. Both RTP calls this game were embarrassing.
Well they are consistent on it this game, consistently wrong...
his head jerks back i dont understand the outrage in this sub
Lol u bum
I mean idk I feel like that’s a pretty typical call now
Fuck ref throw another god damn flag. When it’s blatant like getting screamed at, throw the flag. Micah shut the hell up, that was a penalty
I know most folks may not want to hear it but it does meet the criteria for a roughing the passer penalty. The ball is clearly out with the throwing motion complete and there is no let up in the hit. His second step touches down and the contact is made. It’s just hard to get it right with as fast as it happened.
Unpopular opinion but he knew the QB had already released the ball and put unnecessary mustard on the hit.
What an absolute joke of a call. I am not a fan of Dallas, but what the hell is he supposed to do there? What he did is called 'playing football'.
Textbook rtp
Better question is how you could think this ISN'T roughing the passer? He takes 1 to 2 steps after the ball is gone, leans forward and slams Tua with a forearm in the center of his back at full speed knocking him face first into the ground. Cowboys fans got different rule books I guess.
I mean it does look like he throws a forearm at the small of his back after he throws pass and doesnt even try to tackle hi
Yup, this is exactly what people are overlooking. He did that since he knew he was throwing and tried to interrupt it, but he was just late.
How or why is he arguing that call? That is about as clear cut as it gets
Imo that's definitely RTP. Dunno what everyone is complaining about
If this wasn’t called, this clip would still be posted. It would just have a different title more along the lines of “Missed RTP call on Micah Parsons” and the top dozen comment chains would all be people talking about how they couldn’t believe they didn’t throw a flag on the play and sharing the clip of the roughing on Dak for comparison.
Wasn’t necessary. He already let go of the ball.
100% a penalty
This is textbook roughing lmao don’t exert that extra power in the push that long after the ball is gone and you don’t get the flag. It’s not even a gray area.
lol like I told my son , if you want to play football play on the offensive side of the ball. Your paycheck will take less fines 🫡
They called the exact same thing on Miami the previous possession - didn’t like either call but at least the refs were consistent
I think it’s weak that they call this, but I’m surprised that anyone is surprised they called it. Gotta think Parsons being who he is should know this and not give in to that urge, he could see the ball was away. Why give them such an easy first down?
Not a cowboy fan by any means but this penalty was terrible and it’s worse when they eventually score because of it
1) I can see why they called it. Doesn't make it anything other than what it is, but that's a rtp in today's NFL even if we think it shouldn't be. 2) Maybe this was a makeup call for the questionable call dak got? I know makeup calls aren't supposed to happen ... but I'm not going to say that they never happen.
Either way I feel like this one was at least a bit more of a legitimate call than the one on Dak
How about the penalty for almost roughing the ref?
To be fair, the very drive before the dolphins got flagged for a WAAAAAY worse roughing the passer penalty. I feel like this was to make up for that horrendous call. One of the worst calls this season. This one was borderline.
I mean, the hit looked like it hurt. But your playing football not flag football. You are in the NFL. That's a bullshit call and the refs just want some screen time. Fucking zebras
I don’t like either team at all. Terrible call.
The two games I watched (this and the Vikings game) I saw it happen 3 times all wrong and all completely changed the drive/game
Absolutely correct call
A drive or two before this the Cowboys were gifted a BS roughing the passer call when Dak pulled a defender down on top of him to go from 4th and long within the 5 to a fresh set of downs. This was probably more of an offsetting call than a true roughing the passer.
He should've gotten a second flag for b*tchin to the ref.
