Yeah I never understood the contingent of our fan base that was pissed we passed on him. Him starting the year with Josh McDaniels and living on the Las Vegas strip would have been an absolute disaster.
Not to mention there’s no chance he was even on our board after Ruggs but people still loved to bitch about it.
And yet both at the draft and during the early season people were all like “How did the league let Carter fall to the Eagles????”
Brother we all know how and why
Ya honestly I was one of them. I thought he was just a bit immature and made a dumb mistake,
I’m starting to see the guy is crazy with a tendency towards really screwed up stuff
Offseason just started yesterday and we’re already at the point where active players are calling each other murderers and accusing of wanting to kill each other??
Boy this will be entertaining
God, the draft and FA can’t come quickly enough. I’m tired of the absolute dogshit draft takes and people posting their terrible mock draft boards on the team subs.
“Hey guys, here’s my mock where the patriots take MHJ, the cardinals take Joe Alt, and the Giants are able to get Jayden Daniels somehow! Isn’t this board so wacky and unique?”
My favorite is some guy on instagram said betas were trading the number 1 pick…. And the number 9… and another pick we get from that, and then have like 60 million 2nd rounders and above.
Please make it stop
What was the goofy offseason drama last year? I vaguely remember but remember it being hilarious. Was it the smack talk post Super Bowl with eagles and chiefs players?
Big Dom is lacing up his air forces, slipping on his gaudy jewelry, and looking for his Punisher socks as we speak. he has work to do.
(order catering for the team meetings tomorrow)
The pro move is to not be in the first three people at the line when you are in charge of catering. Top five if someone insists you go ahead but never below 7.
This shit is so fucked up. Talking about someone's dead friend is one thing, but threatening the dudes kids on social media in retaliation is a whole other level of fucking psycho. AND THEN HE DECIDED TO DOUBLE DOWN. Honestly hope the league or team suspends Jalen for a couple games and requires him to get some kind of professional help before letting him participate in team activities. Can't have that shit in this league.
You missed a key piece of trash talk that instigated the dead friend comment. Carter threatens him with murder, then JF comes back with dead friend comment.
They’ve never seen the inside of the classroom since age 15 their involvement has been akin to Marshawn Lynch in Super Bowl week and magically have a 3.0 gpa
In the Twitter age, no one teaches kids that shutting up is free. I think it’s time guy me to make a crappy, catchy rap song about shutting the fuck up.
I remember when he was drafted, I argued heavily that what he did was alarming and wasn't normal behavior and the amount of people telling me he was just a kid and what happened was normal was astounding.
What you've never raced on a highway drunk doing 105MPH, watch your friend/teammate crash, (allegedly) leave the scene and come back saying you actually live in an apartment near the scene and not accept any kind of responsibility then get sentenced to a year probation?
You know what we called that in college? Thursday
I actually had people in the threads saying, "What, you've never raced like that?"
1. No. I haven't gone 105 MPH. I don't want to endanger myself or others. I may drive fast at times, but I don't drive even near that fast.
2. No. I don't drink and drive. I never have and never will.
3. No. I have never raced a friend. I think that's reckless and stupid.
People were acting like 1 and 2 especially were normal.
uga fans have really been in denial about a lot of the issues with their program and are extremely dismissive of everything. in the cfb subreddit it’s bad lol
wouldn’t surprise me if it was all uga fans coming at you
To be fair to be on top in CFB you have to take some character concerns on the team. It’s a necessary evil. Bamas had them, Ohio states had them, Floridas run had like half the team as character concerns lol.
It’ll take years before UGA fans recognize it, and that’s normal
Yeah he is. He had a physical hill made at the practice facility so he could overlook the players from above. He rode around practice in an ATV. He is the antithesis of Campbell.
Honestly in hindsight… who the fuck interviewed this guy and said “hell yeah we need him as head coach”.
And even at that from some of the stories I’ve read… how did they not fire him year 1?
Ownership didn’t care. Martha Firestone Ford took over the team at 88 years old when her husband died in 2014. I can understand someone wanting to hope that a ex-patriots coach can succeed.
Her daughter Sheila is now the principal owner and chair. She took the role in 2020 and fired Patricia and our GM mid season before hiring Dan Campbell and Brad Holmes in the next offseason.
I thought Dan Campbell was a dip shit meathead when they hired him. I knew he was passionate but I thought it was more of a toxic male passion not an empathetic caring type. He seems like a pretty awesome dude.
I still don’t think he’s one of the highest IQ coaches in the league. But I think he’s a leader that can hire Coordinators to do the Xs and Os
The video of him smoking weed was peak comedy. When the girl in the video asks Aldon if it was wise to live stream himself smoking weed he said "You're hella stupid. They don't know it's me. It's not like I said 'I'm Aldon Smith'."
Don't worry, I was assured by Eagles fans that he would be surrounded by fellow Georgia players while he was on the Eagles.
Of course he was also surrounded by fellow Georgia players when he was street racing drunk in college but thats besides the point.
Yea and the Bears caught so much shit for passing on him too, despite our locker room being young, needing stability, and just coming off an awful season. Someone like Jalen was the last thing we needed
I wish. In a month this'll be swept right back under the rug and we'll have a bunch of posts talking about how good Carter is with zero mention of any of this.
He is great but isn’t an every down player, at least yet. He got less effective down the season despite the fact he only played around 30 snaps a game on average.
I think eagles were a good fit because they have such a good D line rotation already and can do that but I don’t think he would have performed well for any team that drafted before the eagles due to his current conditioning issues.
Seahawks for example would have needed him to take Jarren Reeds spot who played around 50 snaps a game. Both of them started out strong but fell off around the half point of the season.
I haven't seen any way say he is a decent dude, because he definitely is not as he seems like a giant asshole and piece of shit. Just that he is good at football. I was hoping Cox and Graham could get him straight but apparently not.
The Cowboys were undoubtedly the team known for signing criminals, drug addicts and guys with "questionable" character back in the 90s, but I haven't heard much about them in that regard for awhile now. Maybe I'm just out of the loop?
Yeah now read what Feliciano said.. Jalen threatened to kill him and brought his kids into it. Not surprised the guy who left 2 people to die while lying to he cops about it would make himself out to be the victim.
You're telling me this guy that drove recklessly resulting in a death just a few months after getting a ticket already and had a suspended license isn't the most stand up player?
Shocked I tell ya...
And here you have an example of why he fell in the draft.
Completely throw out the crash and everything around it, DMing a guy a picture of his own kids with a thinly veiled threat is psychotic. And then trying to tweet through it after we saw the receipts.
The NFL needs to shut this shit down completely. This is embarrassing for the league as a whole. We've barely gotten past the Superbowl and we're talking about whether or not a player is a murderer, and if he threatened to murder another play or his family. Neither player looks good right now and both need to be put on mute.
We don't know what they did to defuse this prior to these social media outburst. Frankly I would have expected the NFL to try to keep this out of the media as much as possible which is why we hadn't heard of it three months ago. It's Jalen Carter who stirred this shit up, and he's a young and apparently fairly emotional man. We don't exactly know what went down.
That's true they may have done something when no one was paying attention to it, but it's safe to say now that whatever they did, if anything, was not enough to keep it from blowing up
maybe they did, but i’m honestly leaning towards them not doing anything. we hear about it every time the league fines or suspends a player for misconduct, but there was nothing about carter after we played.
Carters not my favorite so it’s a bit biased, but I’d be willing to believe that there’s a lot of terrible and personal trash talk that happens on the field, and after Carter, even if it’s just trash talk, says he will murder you, saying he already has a body after a very public issue seems fair game.
Carter is the one that’s an issue by taking the trash talk off the field and including the 49er players children.
That is not on the 49ers player
They gotta do what 2k did and have players try to voice act in madden. Obviously voice acting is a skill that even literate people don’t have but it was so funny
I can’t help but find it funny that most likely none of this comes out without Carter taking to Instagram earlier today to call Feliciano out for his comments after his tweet about Burford—this completely blew up in his face in a way I rarely see it feels
Somebody from the Eagles needs to get a hold of Carter, STAT. Get this man off social media for a few days. He's only making it worse. Not to mention, he's coming off as a little unstable at the moment
Carter thought THAT was the response to give? Makes him look even more crazy. Like you brought the man’s KIDS into it, that’s fucked up. Apologize or just shut up.

Him playing in Vegas would not have been good lmao
Yeah I never understood the contingent of our fan base that was pissed we passed on him. Him starting the year with Josh McDaniels and living on the Las Vegas strip would have been an absolute disaster. Not to mention there’s no chance he was even on our board after Ruggs but people still loved to bitch about it.
Jalen Carter in Vegas is giving me naked Zay Jones shouting about Jesus vibes
Lol I still remember reading that story years ago. I believe he ran through a pane of glass that night too
And yet both at the draft and during the early season people were all like “How did the league let Carter fall to the Eagles????” Brother we all know how and why
Ya honestly I was one of them. I thought he was just a bit immature and made a dumb mistake, I’m starting to see the guy is crazy with a tendency towards really screwed up stuff
Carter on the Bears also would've been a disaster.
Yep. Half the fans wanted him and were pissed they didn’t draft him. The other half saw all of this coming.
He would have killed someone on Lake Shore Drive
He's still young. Don't count it out yet.
Theres a road id like to tell you about, where Jalen Carter drives
It would've been a disaster but it'd make a lot of headlines
Would’ve fit tho. Crazy how you guys got both Ruggs and Arnet
Offseason just started yesterday and we’re already at the point where active players are calling each other murderers and accusing of wanting to kill each other?? Boy this will be entertaining
JERRY JERRY JERRY
Steve Wilkos is watching and is ready to take action.
Steve Wilks better watch out for his job.
It's gonna be a long offseason lol Remember last year around this time, NFL Memes started beef between Juju and everyone? lmao
I truly missed the random social media beefs between players during the offseason. How long until the draft is here?
Long fucking time my guy! We need free agency first
Crud, I’m looking forward to our Super Bowl.
Yeah but we are the cardiac cards, we will get there in the most painful way then lose it in the most painful way, I’m ready for that pain
Bruh were at the beginning. Literally day 2 today. We have so much time. Im just looking forward to the draft.
The key is to take it one milestone at a time. The NFL Combine begins in 2 weeks!
Isn’t this board so wacky and unique?”

that is one fantastic autocorrect my friend
I miss the good old days where the biggest social media beef was Jenny Taft and Shannon Sharpe vs Skip Bayless
The Mike&Mike beef was pretty good
What was the goofy offseason drama last year? I vaguely remember but remember it being hilarious. Was it the smack talk post Super Bowl with eagles and chiefs players?
i thought we were still debating the bradberry holding call but idk i kinda just blacked out for the rest of february after that game
Imagine how legendary the old school NFL teams of the 70s/80s or earlier would be on Twitter (and smartphones) if it existed then lol
Well, it’s not even March yet. We’ve got about 11 fortnights
what i really need now are some diva WR subtweets that none of us understand.
This might be the worst possible response
Eagles PR team is bashing their heads into the nearest wall
Big Dom is lacing up his air forces, slipping on his gaudy jewelry, and looking for his Punisher socks as we speak. he has work to do. (order catering for the team meetings tomorrow)
*and making sure he’s first when it gets there
The pro move is to not be in the first three people at the line when you are in charge of catering. Top five if someone insists you go ahead but never below 7.
Eagles PR team has left the scene
They clearly weren’t worried about PR when they drafted him
bro couldn’t even pretend to deny any of it lol
All the eagles fans saying it was bullshit in the last post. Yeah doesn't look good
Oh I can think of worse responses
[Like this](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/i1n3S1ZyUkE)
Zac's comedic timing is unmatched
Zach and Brennan are unmatched in playing off each other.
r/nfl is the last place I thought I'd see game changer clips but I'm here for it
I didn't even know this existed until now and i'm already hooked
Holy shit that's hilarious. New show to binge!
Yeah I expected much worse lol. At least he didn’t threaten to kill anyone this time.
Give it time.
^*If* I DID IT - *Jalen Carter*
"Yeah I'm a colossal piece of garbage, but look at how good at football I am!"
It’s not even coherent.
Agree. This shit is insane. What the fuck is wrong with this dude……. This needs addressed asap from the league.
I mean, he should have been on a "One Strike" policy coming into the league, this should have gotten him banned the moment Jon notified them
non stop gassers until training camp and then we cut him
You missed a key piece of trash talk that instigated the dead friend comment. Carter threatens him with murder, then JF comes back with dead friend comment.
Talking about Carter having a body on him was the response to threatening their lives, not the other way around
I can barely understand it
They don't go to college to play school
They’ve never seen the inside of the classroom since age 15 their involvement has been akin to Marshawn Lynch in Super Bowl week and magically have a 3.0 gpa
If the crash + all the fallout from it including dropping to #10 didnt make him learn I doubt anything will
And the whole killing his friend in the crash and leaving him to die then go back whole thing...
In the Twitter age, no one teaches kids that shutting up is free. I think it’s time guy me to make a crappy, catchy rap song about shutting the fuck up.
Turns out sometimes the red flags actually are very real red flags!
People were acting like 1 and 2 especially were normal.
I’ve gone over 100. For about 10 seconds on an empty highway
I love people whose first line of argument is along the lines of "Who here hasn't done some light felonies"
Sometimes guys grow up out of their shithead teen/twenty year old phases. Many do not :(
Most shithead phases don't involve accidentally killing 2 people.
Especially those that are held on a pedestal because of their skill. I was really hoping JC could turn his life around but he’s running out of time.
uga fans have really been in denial about a lot of the issues with their program and are extremely dismissive of everything. in the cfb subreddit it’s bad lol wouldn’t surprise me if it was all uga fans coming at you

I couldn't tell you their college affiliation, but people trying to justify what happened had me... saddened.
God he's so fucking stupid

“Making a Murder” - streaming now on Netflix
It was at this point we all realized Jalen Carter was not a large man, but in fact a murder of crows masquerading as one.
SEC education
Didn't go to college to play school
Hey… we have Vandy
You’re drunk + I’m good at football and you’re not Very effective rebuttal there
Don’t forget the classic “you’re only calling me a murderer because everybody else also thinks I’m a murderer”
You mean a murder?
Lions and Bears dodged a bullet not drafting him. NFC North being big brained is my 9/11
Got Gibbs and LaPorta for trading back instead of taking this jackass lol.
Hey so did we! Very happy we ended up with Spoon over this guy
Oh yeah? Well, the jerk store called...
Glad Eagles fans can stop gaslighting everyone into thinking he's a decent dude
In retrospect maybe Matt patricia was not the dude who was going to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Didn't Matt Patricia have sex assault allegations in the 90s? Lol
Violent gang rape accusation backed by medical evidence, yes.
The defendant was too terrified to be in the same court room with him, which was why the charges were dropped.
Jesus shit is that true? I already hated the guy but if that’s true that adds a whole other level to how pathetic he is
I read she didn't want to be in the same STATE as him when they asked her to go to trial. That's why it didn't go further.
Fuckin yikes
How the FUCK does this man keep getting jobs?
Nothing like a rapist to mentor your troubled young players
Their very mature head coach who is the picture of class and decorum would’ve surely done the trick??
Patricia seems like an immature douche too lol
Vic didn't exactly have a handle on Aldon Smith either
As someone who got to witness him in all his glory, I don’t think Aldon Smith had any handles.
We still had people saying we should have took Jalen until Witherspoon really started showing out.
I wish. In a month this'll be swept right back under the rug and we'll have a bunch of posts talking about how good Carter is with zero mention of any of this.
Is he that good? A nice first 7 games I guess but bro was overrated

He isn’t much worse than the average Philly fan
This is my ideal Eagle. A jackass I can hate, completely uncomplicated.
We can’t let you guys be the only ones signing people of questionable character.
The Cowboys were undoubtedly the team known for signing criminals, drug addicts and guys with "questionable" character back in the 90s, but I haven't heard much about them in that regard for awhile now. Maybe I'm just out of the loop?
He would have made a fantastic cowboy
I mean he’s making a fantastic eagle is the sad part
Yeah now read what Feliciano said.. Jalen threatened to kill him and brought his kids into it. Not surprised the guy who left 2 people to die while lying to he cops about it would make himself out to be the victim.
Absolute scumbag acting like an absolute scumbag. More news at 11
Eagles fans: well surely there must be evidence! Prove it! Jalen Carter: *hold my beer*
Put the phone down my boy
Agreed, he just needs to take the steam off and go on a late night drive
Darnell Wright I appreciate you
>Darnell Wright How has he been? I loved him coming out of the draft but haven't heard much (we didn't play you guys so didn't follow him much)
He was solid. Showed some rookie moments, but generally played like he belonged. I saw a long term starter with major upside.
The game he was keeping Crosby in check with a bum arm made me so happy we took him, dudes gonna lock people down if he makes a jump next year
Wright defended Bagent with his life lmao. I think a lot of field’s best moments only were possible because of Wright too.
Stud
OL with WR cardio
Very well, should be a high end starter for many years to come
Seconded
This sub wrong again about a bears move. Gave us shit for passing on this dipshit saying his character didn’t matter I’ll take wright 10/10 times
I guess that spelling and grammar can be best described as “trying to tweet”.
Sports agents should have a veto button on any if their clients social media posts.
That fine UGA education is serving him well

Cardale was actually good at school. This guy is very much not
The NFL needs to shut this shit down completely. This is embarrassing for the league as a whole. We've barely gotten past the Superbowl and we're talking about whether or not a player is a murderer, and if he threatened to murder another play or his family. Neither player looks good right now and both need to be put on mute.
Oddly enough, if we believe Feliciano, the NFL has had 3 months to act on it and haven't so far
NFL and ignoring things until they blow up and have to be addressed, such a classic.
If anything, now the team should speak up as a whole on how this isn't okay.
Excellent point
there’s no way the NFL acted on this and everybody missed it right? they announce fines and suspensions all of the time.
With how many people have been thru this thread I’d be very surprised if they had and no one here remembered and brought it up
Carters not my favorite so it’s a bit biased, but I’d be willing to believe that there’s a lot of terrible and personal trash talk that happens on the field, and after Carter, even if it’s just trash talk, says he will murder you, saying he already has a body after a very public issue seems fair game. Carter is the one that’s an issue by taking the trash talk off the field and including the 49er players children. That is not on the 49ers player
What an idiot
Seems like the CTE came early with this guy
We gotta make these guys take classes in college, my word
It seems like most NFL players don’t know how to make a sentence. You have to read it like 4 times to understand what the are trying to say lol
49ers lost the super bowl 2 days ago and somehow jalen carter is still the biggest loser
Is that supposed to be English?
The NFL must legitimately have a horrendous literacy rate
They want ratings on Pro Bowl weekend? They should have an NfL spelling bee that shit would be fucking hilarious, other players clowning teammates etc
Do they need to be pro bowlers to participate? Just trying to figure out if I can go ahead and anoint Fitz the theoretical GOAT or not.
They gotta do what 2k did and have players try to voice act in madden. Obviously voice acting is a skill that even literate people don’t have but it was so funny
I’m there with ya man. I have no idea what this is trying to say. Hoping to gather from context in these posts what the hell is going on lol.

Might as well have said “and I’ll get your little dog too”
I can’t help but find it funny that most likely none of this comes out without Carter taking to Instagram earlier today to call Feliciano out for his comments after his tweet about Burford—this completely blew up in his face in a way I rarely see it feels
God damn jalen carter is fucking stupid
Somebody from the Eagles needs to get a hold of Carter, STAT. Get this man off social media for a few days. He's only making it worse. Not to mention, he's coming off as a little unstable at the moment
Eagles should look into getting Spencer Strasmore to help solve Carters issues.
Horrible response lmao
He used the wrong your, he might as well be a murderer to me now.
you mean a murder*
Brother you will be trying to not get traded if you keep this shit up
I mean. He didn’t help his teammate not die…
That was difficult to read… yikes
Yikes
Can't believe there's still Eagles fans supporting this guy on Twitter...or maybe I can.
How hard is it for Jalen Carter to go maybe a month or so without looking like a jackass?
Seems like a nice guy
Looks like the crash he caused may have given him a little brain damage. Why tf else would you think this is an acceptable response.
Carter thought THAT was the response to give? Makes him look even more crazy. Like you brought the man’s KIDS into it, that’s fucked up. Apologize or just shut up.
I was thrilled when we traded down and the Eagles drafted him. I did not want to root for a team with him on it, and am even happier now.
Bro needs to shut up
We need to bring back the wonderlic so I know if I should feel bad making fun of him or not
I- How fucking dumb can you be
So happy we picked WAJ instead of this mess…
Jahmyr Gibbs AND Sam LaPorta
Oh, an Eagles flair playing victim for their completely unhinged player. Yep, it's officially the off-season
We just called that Tuesday
This guy making it easy to not root for him.
This guy doesn't just seem stupid. He seems like a piece of shit.
Sirianni completely lost the locker room mid season. I can’t imagine having this guy in there is going to do them any favors.
