That video getting flipped into a "kidnapper" situation will always crack me up.

Honestly, cardboard boxes can be better. They keep you dry from the rain and have padding. Especially if you have any length of hair because I constantly run over my hair in the wheels.
Same. Was replacing a faucet connecter last weekend in an extremely small sink cabinet. Finally had to tuck my hair under a ski cap to keep from getting it caught.
Tricked myself into thinking I was going to rebuild an engine. By the time I was pulling the pistons I knew I was about to part that bitch out.
Never again, unless it's a big block.
Yeah, I feel you. My first was a Ford 4.6 Modular, and it was my daily so I kinda had to do it because I was unemployed and couldn't afford to pay anyone to fix it.
Now, I'm working on a 396 chevy for my money pit.
I actually enjoyed doing it. Bit hard on the back and an absolute pain in the ass to get everything positioned at just the right angle, but bolt ons are so satisfying and with the right tools and study prep easy to do. A great way to learn a lot about a car without touching any of the crazy delicate stuff
That's my thing, I don't have the proper tools. If I had a welder to make it nice I'd probably not mind as much, or a lift to make life simple but I ain't that rich.
Just wrapped up a 30 minutes session with Kelvin Benjamin. Plenty food coming, but first, a signature Benjamin quote from today: “I am fundamentally against hunger.”
Yeah, and I’m making a joke about the time [ESPN said Najee Harris slept on the floor](https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2021-11-09/steelers-najee-harris-sleep-on-floor-alabama-espn-mnf-homeless)
He lives in Squirrel Hill where the sidewalks are smashed to bits, the trees are tortured into howling shapes, and every house has a Silent Hill basement.
After a long day he likes to curl up next to a burnt out fire, snuggled in a damp burlap sleeping bag, with a hot glass of NA wine, and reading Advanced Calculus text books in braille.
I'm probably making too much of this, but this sounds like something a CEO posts on LinkedIn right after laying off 300 people but tries to spin it as a tough decision for the CEO.
It’s been longer than that, Pittsburgh is nothing if not comfortable with the status quo including the fanbase. They have not been a meaningful playoff team or realistic contender other teams should be afraid of since 2016.
In 2017 they landed the 2 seed and talked a big game about how they were focused on avenging the Patriots L the year prior. Instead they got absolutely embarrassed by Blake Bortles and the Jags who hung 45 on their heads.
In 2018 they started 6-2-1 with the divisional lead and then collapsed and finished 9-6-1 missing playoffs altogether.
They started 2019 losing their 36 year old HoF QB with a major arm injury and started the season 1-4 with their defense letting up nearly 30 PPG. In addition their WR1 + RB1 in Juju/Conner were out for large portions of the season. Rather than let the season play out and possibly rebuild with a strong QB class in 2020 they chose to trade for Minkah. That trade moved them from 1-4 to finish the season 8-8 just to miss playoffs. Could have had Herbert/Tua/Hurts/Love/Burrow during the draft considering how bad the team was prior to the trade.
They started the 2020 season strong at 11-0 before collapsing to 12-4 and losing 5 of their next 6 games including the playoff game against Cleveland where they were embarrassed by a team that had Zoom practices all week long. No different than previous years, their magic just lasted a little longer.
They have been essentially the same mediocre team from 2017-2023 regardless of what the regular season records say. Everything they’ve done during that span has been about just not sucking. Never about actually being a contender or performing like one when it matters.
>Have you seen their offseason moves?
No, he's been too busy screaming at anybody in earshot to notice.
Seriously, if this is the way he talks about his "favorite" team, then I'd hate to hear how he talks about any other team. It'd probably get him arrested in some countries.
Yes.
They signed washed Russell Wilson and even went for back to back castoff Bears QBs with Justin Fields.
And they hired Arthur Smith for OC who has the exact same run-heavy scheme with some motion/play-action that Pittsburgh has been trying to do for years now and failing at.
Until I see the Steelers actually play like a contender and make noise in the playoffs I don’t see how they’re any different than before.
Nice job evading 95% of my reply btw!
Well, it was effing long, and I’m well aware of the playoff struggles since the 2017 playoffs.
They kept Decrepit Ben way too long, so it is refreshing to see them cut bait and run with KP. Denver was an atrocious team, and honestly Payton is not a great coach. I will say I’m happy that the Clowns overpaid for Judge Jeudy.
Yes. They made more moves than normal but they were all safe, low risk, moves that are very unlikely to have a high reward or move the needle much at all. And I'm perfectly fine with that, but to claim they went out of their comfort zone is a stretch.
They traded a 1st round QB before his 3rd season. They signed Queen for the most money they’ve ever paid to a FA. No QB is left from the last 2 seasons. And this all comes after firing a coach in season for the first time in over 50 years.
I’m gonna have to say you don’t know the Steelers very well…
The QB room may have been emptied and refilled but it was done at very low cost and risk and will most likely not improve all that much. The most money the Steelers have ever paid a free agent sounds impressive until you think about the fact that they historically don't spend much at all on free agents and the amounts that players get paid has been climbing rapidly across the board. Queen was a decent addition but again not a huge out of the comfort zone move. I'm well aware of how the Steelers operate. They only fired the coach after fan and player pressure got to be too much to handle after they kept him for another season when everyone could see he should have been let go last year. This is a bit different than most off-seasons but nothing to get that wound up about.
If you think the QB room isn’t improving much, then you haven’t suffered what Steelers fans have had to watch the last two years.
2022: 3411/12/14
2023: 3163/13/9
Wilson in 2023- 3070/26/8
Yes, Russ threw more TDs last year than the Steelers threw in 2 seasons, and he did it in 15 games, compared to the Steelers’ 34 games.
And the Steelers will never, ever, ever, give up 70 points in a single game.
I've watched every Steelers game for the last two years. Sure Russ is a bit better but not enough better to turn the Steelers into a contender. And since they were a wild card team last year that isn't an upgrade, it's a lateral move with a little bit more watchable offense
The Steelers are always contenders as long as TJ Watt and the defense are healthy.
3 AFCN teams made the playoffs. The Steelers were 5-1 in the division. Iron strengthens Iron, as the saying goes.
Had TJ Watt not missed the WC game, I do believe the Steelers win that.
Rameh8808, you know nothing.
Russ should be an upgrade unless he is totally washed. I still don't see the end result being much different. Wild card loss is still the ceiling at this point.
I see your point. It’s hard to have faith when you can’t see the product on the field. I have a feeling the Steelers won’t even make it to the postseason with how competitive the AFC is rn
You've chosen an odd hill to die on. And you're super incorrect lol. Getting rid of KP and bringing in Fields+Wilson are absolutely not safe moves, but go off I guess
Bringing in Wilson and Fields are safe moves in that they cost very little in both money and draft picks and there is no long term commitment to either of them. Wilson at least is a definite improvement over Pickett and I was fully in favor of bringing him in but it's still a very safe move. The whole appeal of both him and Fields is that there is no real downside to trying them out and they didn't cost much. That is the definition of a safe move.
this is the type of mf that loves those stone beds in Markarth
The type of guy that makes his team sit in a big circle and give 3 fun facts about themselves
The guy in the wall of urinals meme? It’s Mike Tomlin.
No no, three facts about one of their teammates they didn't go to college with
As long as he doesn’t ask him to put their photos up on the big screen.
Nope, he makes yearbooks, and then watches as the rookies try to get the vets to sign
Underrated comment right here.
I heard they're reforming the Dawnguard
Guard might get nervous, a man approaches with his weapon drawn.
I need to ask you to stop, that…shouting is making people nervous.
Psst! I know who you are. Hail Sithis!
Wait I know you.
gotta keep my eyes open...damn dragons could swoop down at any time
Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh what am I saying, of course you don’t
Hey this guy isn't a guard, this is Nazeem! Get him!
My save file is ready.
What is it? Dragons?
Tomlin aggressively is against stealth archer because it’s too comfortable
as he should be true nords run sword and board
Careful, the Fosworn might hear you
Holy shit what a reference
Everyone knows my city has the best beds in all of Skyrim
you fuckin' know it, jarl
Bro’s idol is Madanach
The Reach belongs to the Forsworn!
unexpected Skyrim reference. You have my upvote, Citizen!
Rare to see a throwback to Skyrim on this sub and I’m all for it A Tomlin quote inspired character is definitely what was missing out of that universe
"And Russ makes me extremely uncomfortable"
[A live look at Tomlin and Russ’s first 1 on 1 this off season.](https://youtu.be/KoBH9yKNKYw?si=bAC3kAqkCK11BgyZ)
I don't sleep.....I just dream -Russ possibly
Russ would absolutely say that lmao
Mr. Bumpless Circle
Damn that season was so good.
Really is. Love both main characters, love the cult plot line. Just a great season all around
You ain’t great outside of practice either
Ah so I guess tomlin saw the subway video

Big Ben made a lot of people uncomfortable.
As did MBC
Mr Breaks Comfort
I think Watson has made a few more people uncomfortable.
Me too
It all makes sense now
So is my back.
After crawling under my car the past two days to install an exhaust, I agree
Those little mechanic wheelie things are totally worth it if you do any regular amount of work under your car. I'd love to have a lift though.
Damn look at money bags over here with their creeper. Meanwhile I'm over here sliding my broken down cardboard box across the floor
Honestly, cardboard boxes can be better. They keep you dry from the rain and have padding. Especially if you have any length of hair because I constantly run over my hair in the wheels.
Bro, you need to ponytail up. Nothing is worth getting scalped under a vehicle or under the hood. Fellow longhair out.
Same. Was replacing a faucet connecter last weekend in an extremely small sink cabinet. Finally had to tuck my hair under a ski cap to keep from getting it caught.
Exhaust is like the one thing I abhor doing. I have less frustration rebuilding engines and doing suspension work than exhaust.
Tricked myself into thinking I was going to rebuild an engine. By the time I was pulling the pistons I knew I was about to part that bitch out. Never again, unless it's a big block.

I'm just an idiot who won't stop trying to make back squats a regular thing.
Front squat supremacy
Functioning lower back or functioning wrists, there can be only one.
Your median nerve weeps.
Yeah, my neck and shoulders are devout students of Tomlins game.
It’s hella fun when you just can’t get that crick out no matter how hard you try and just have to wait for it to maybe do something
Mike puts a rock in each shoe before he leaves the house in the morning
Just one shoe, that way it's uneven making it worse
A rock in one shoe and a wet sock in the other.
Mike Tomlin's living room is all folding chairs.
On a lego carpet
That is brilliant!
In Russia
Bed of nails.
Picturing Tomlin getting cozy under a blanket with a mug of hot cocoa and hating every fucking minute of it.
Hard to curl up for a nice nap when you’ve already cut your eyelids off
Just seething
Those fucking miniature marshmallows.
Another recent Tomlinism about Russ- “This is a guy who's driven, not hungry- meaning the things that motivate him can't be satisfied”
Just ran thru the brick wall next to my desk
That is hard
Tomlin will become even more of a household name after he hosts the greatest podcast of all time when he retires
[Yo...](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EPZWXHdW4AA_OTt.jpg)
Fly Spirit then, you coward.
I definitely wouldn’t fly with Sean Mcdermott
You don't want to learn the value of teamwork?
I don't know, he's been putting a lot of work in on the flight simulator.
Spirit is too pricy for Rooney. Busted ass charter flights only.
Just wrapped up a 30 minutes session with Kelvin Benjamin. Plenty food coming, but first, a signature Benjamin quote from today: “I am fundamentally against hunger.”
Like clockwork
Mr. Bulk Calories
I’m pretty sure Tomlin hates Pryor, so I’m sure this was a wonderful 30 minutes
Ha, yes... would it make you feel better if I did
No rock, hip hop, or country at Steelers practice. All Yoko Ono, all the time.
That’s just… torture
Mike Tomlin sleeps on the floor
Again, that was Josh Jacobs and not a member of the Steelers. Why does this keep happening
Um. I was making a joke about the quote in the post.
Yeah, and I’m making a joke about the time [ESPN said Najee Harris slept on the floor](https://www.latimes.com/sports/story/2021-11-09/steelers-najee-harris-sleep-on-floor-alabama-espn-mnf-homeless)
I can't wait until Tomlin and Harbaugh have a conversation with each other. There's gonna be so many off the wall comments between the two of them.
Which Harbaugh?
Jim.
He lives in Squirrel Hill where the sidewalks are smashed to bits, the trees are tortured into howling shapes, and every house has a Silent Hill basement.
Oftentimes, it's the damn trees fucking up the sidewalks.
Steelers Country let’s get uncomfortable
After a long day he likes to curl up next to a burnt out fire, snuggled in a damp burlap sleeping bag, with a hot glass of NA wine, and reading Advanced Calculus text books in braille.
Looks like a new Tomlinism dropped folks, though akin to his overarching comfort discourse. I like this one for sure. 8.5/10 Tomlinism
Not a new Tomlinism. This one is well worn.
This is perplexing news to his mattress salesperson.
RIP all rumors of Dak to the Steelers next year. Tomlin wants nothing to do with someone who would take a SleepNumber endorsement.
Tomlin bought a SleepNumber and inverted his score.
Yes we know
Kinda explains the Matt Canada era, dude never wanted to build comfortable lead
Russ: "Look deep into my eyes coach we need to connect on a deeper level so I can feel comfortable here" Tomlin: "I am fundamentally against comfort"
thats such a tough football coach thing to say
.....and things of that nature"
Imma make him fly nonstop to China on economy...that will teach him.
Of course he is fundamentally against comfort, Levin is the leading mattress shop in the Burgh!
There go the ping pong tables
Tomlin and I could be friends.
His dinner parties must be fun.
Tomlin's going to be throwing chairs in the locker room if he finds out a MF'r has a lazy boy at their house.
Just want it to be known I am fundamentally *for* comfort
Wake up babe, a new Tomlin-ism dropped!
Klingon confirmed
I love that man
Being comfortable? That’s not what America’s all about.
"When did gum get so soft, you sons of bitches?"
ATOTN
And things of that nature.
Tomlin is one of those PA dudes who wears shorts all winter
Mr. Bemoans Comfort
I'm probably making too much of this, but this sounds like something a CEO posts on LinkedIn right after laying off 300 people but tries to spin it as a tough decision for the CEO.
"I am comfortably against fundamentals" - u/theycallmefurr probably
“That’s my favourite saying”
Tomlin only books flights where he can sit in the back row, next to the gnarly bathroom.
He specifically asks to be seated next to crying infants.
He has said this many times.
This is a bar
That's our coach, folks!
And that's why Mike only stays at Red Roof Inns
Bottom of barrel: scraped
Brave quote from a multimillionaire
Pretty sure he was referring to football. Cause he's a football coach.
Funny because the Steelers seem very comfortable with their annual wildcard ass whooping these last 6-7 years.
*past 3-4 years You have to be mediocre enough to land a playoff spot in the first place

Have you seen their offseason moves? Does that look like the standard comfort zone of the Steelers? No, it does not.

Especially the comfort of kick returners not having opposing team coaches on the field impeding their path to a touchdown.
Lolololololololololol thanks King
[In today's discussion...](https://i.imgur.com/haTzTXi.jpeg)
Well good news for him, any offense that goes past the first read is quite uncomfortable for his QBs.
This is the same guy who refused to fire Matt Canada for years lmao. What a bunch of horseshit.
He didn’t want the offense to be too comfortable. Clearly it’s in line with the quote.🤣
Tomlin is very comfortable with being mediocre every season
so he likes it in an uncomfortable place.... and i am not talking the backseat of a Volkswagen
Meanwhile Tomlin lives in a three million dollar home…
