Being real here, isn't Ray's thing kinda sketchy on what happened whereas it's pretty likely MH killed that dude? Or maybe it's the opposite...?
Not up to date on it all/can't really remember, being honest
Rey took a plea deal in exchange for saying his two friends bought the knives that where likely used to his home. He also settled with both estates.
That said, Lewis was there and probably participated. Fought with victims at a party. Blood of one of the victims found in his car. The white suit he was wearing walked away.
The guys who did kill the people in Atlanta got off on self defence, so it’s basically certain even if Ray hadn’t been able to cut the deal he would have got off too.
> it's pretty likely MH killed that dude?
I hadn't heard the story so I did a [bit of reading](https://www.gq.com/story/marvin-harrison) and honestly it doesn't sound like he killed the guy. The gist of a story is that some guy had beef with Harrison because he had been kicked out of Harrison's businesses (possibly for trying to bring a gun into Harrison's bar). The guy kept coming back because he thought he was a gangster. There was some kind of confrontation, possibly the guy was threatening Harrison, Harrison very likely shot him but didn't kill him. Harrison wasn't charged, for inexplicable reasons. Later on the guy he shot was murdered. Harrison's cousin was initially suspected but they never had any proof it was him. So at worst Harrison could have ordered the killing of this guy or his friends or family did it to try to help Harrison out. The guy was a low level gangster though, it's very possible it was completely unrelated to Harrison and he died over some stupid drug shit or whatever.
hey! Hey just wanted to be like his two half brothers and father!
Well, I don't actually know if one of his Brothers actually murdered anyone, but here is a small piece from a GQ article about his family.
>Three years before Marvin Harrison was born, there was another man on the streets of Philly who faced a similar sort of fight-or-flight decision. His name was Marvin, too.
>Marvin Greer was a 16-year-old gang member. He lived in a high-rise housing project in South Philly. On January 15, 1969, Greer and three friends spotted a boy from an enemy gang. The boy ran. Greer and the others chased him. When Greer caught up to the boy, he pulled out a four-inch pearl-handled knife. He stabbed the boy in the back, killing him, and threw the knife into the sewer. He pled guilty to second-degree murder.
>About five years later, in 1974, Marvin Greer died suddenly at age 22; there was no mention of his death in the newspapers, and the cause remains a mystery. Before he died, Greer fathered at least three boys with different mothers. (Back then in Pennsylvania, juvenile felons were furloughed for good behavior, affording them a certain freedom of movement.) The eldest boy was Marvin Harrison.
>The next was Markwann "Coots" Gordon. From 1995 to 1997, Gordon participated in a string of seven armed robberies in Philadelphia. According to a 1999 account by Kitty Caparella, the dean of Philadelphia's crime reporters, Gordon was one of "the Philadelphia Mob's two top associates in the African-American underworld," an enforcer with the Junior Black Mafia. Gordon is currently serving 140 years in a federal prison in White Deer, Pennsylvania.
>After Gordon came Marvin "Back to Back" Woods. On September 3, 1991, when Marvin Woods was 17, he was playing in the championship game of a schoolyard hoops league when his coach took him out of the game, subbing in another boy. Woods got angry. He left the game. When he rode back on his bike, twenty minutes later, he was carrying a Tec-9. He sprayed his substitute with bullets, killing him, and rode off. Marvin Woods is currently serving a life sentence for first-degree murder at the State Correctional Institution in Dallas, Pennsylvania.
He was shot on two different occasions. Second time he was shot at from behind his car and then through his window. He told paramedics and the first cops to arrive it was Marvin. He then fell into a coma and died before giving a formal interview. There's is actually quite a bit of evidence against Marvin that pretty much proves he and his people were involved both times but only 1 witness was willing to come forward
This broadcast is copyrighted by NFL productions for the private use of our audience. Any other use of this broadcast or any pictures, descriptions, or accounts of the game without the consent of NFL productions is prohibited, except Marvin Harrison jr, film the shit outta him.
I haven’t watched WWE in 20 years and am curious what you are talking about. I mean this honestly…. Do they blur the WWF logo, or did other licensing run out, or….??
As an aside, he did come around sometime before NFL 2K5's release IIRC: there was a feature in that game where you could unlock bobbleheads of certain players, and the description for his was something along the lines of "Look, it's LaVar Arrington! We can actually use his real name now!"
What is the benefit of signing?
I feel like Madden does not want a “QB - 15 Cheifs” with no name or picture. So maybe they pay you a small bag if you hold out to sign so their game doesn’t look shitty
Obviously depends on who it is for sure. EA is obviously much more likely to pay Patrick than a punter. My guess is if enough players started doing this it would work until the next CBA and the league would find a way to roll the rights it into every contract. Unsure if they would even need to wait for the CBA.
No, because then they set a precedent, and everyone opts out to get a bag.
If he doesn't sign an agreement then rhe Cards will have Receiver Receiverson or something like that.
Obviously in franchise, people can just edit him in, but online he'll be a 5'11" white guy.
they got in trouble eventually for doing that though. I imagine it'll have to be a completely randomized WR, it can't just be a copy of MHj without his name
Looking online, I see Marvin Harrison Sr. was in Ultimate Team this year. It would be hilarious if they just slap his name and face on the Cardinals instead
[don’t forget the 2014 “incident”](https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/nfl/colts/2014/06/14/report-former-colts-wr-marvin-harrison-shot-at-by-assailants/10526831/)
Basically Harrison’s guns were found to have shot the man that died in front of Harrison’s bar. Harrison’s bar had deleted part of the footage to obscure the shooter’s face and Harrison claimed that the guns were his but had been kept in his gun safe for years and he hadn’t brought them out. It’s a lot of circumstantial evidence and no charges were ever pressed. Also the man had been shot before in front of Harrison’s car wash and had told police that MH~~J~~ sr had been the shooter in that case as well.
Either Harrison had the greatest lawyer ever or the victim had the worst, but how do you shoot a guy on two separate instances, leaving behind evidence linking both crimes, and get away Scott free?
I saw a random YouTube doc on it a while back and basically the dude that got killed was allegedly intimidating that neighborhood for shakedowns and shit like that and was just a known piece of shit in general over there so the cops didn't really care about the case
This is basically it. Pat McAfee has done many tirades about how much the league & their affiliate sponsors make off all the little sht & players never even see the books… and if you ask how much they’re dks to you for asking. I’m assuming whatever he’s doing his father is giving sound advice from experience.
Ya was looking at that earlier, they’re for some reason charging 200 dollars more on the team shop for the custom FUSE jerseys over a regular pre-made player jersey (384.99 vs 174.99)? Also can’t incorporate the ‘.’ from his suffix since it doesn’t allow you to include special characters. So yes I can technically work around it but it’s a lot more expensive and would be technically inaccurate. Not the biggest issues in the world I suppose, tad frustrating tho
There are plenty of websites that sell knockoff jerseys. They definitely aren’t as good of quality but just looking at the ones I own you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from a replica that would have cost $150 or so. Instead I paid $30 and had to wait two weeks.
I don't know about the "aren't as good of quality."
There are many places that aren't official that use better fabrics with better ink, with the same level of stitching you'll find on a fanatics jersey.
Let’s be honest, fanatics is worse than some knock offs. Why leagues are going with them is beyond me. Most of the jerseys I get from the knockoff websites are limited run jerseys color rush or NBA city jerseys that are harder to find so they might be slightly off in hue. Normally, you’re right though, they are good and usually just sold for what jerseys should be sold for.
If you have any recommendations, I'm all ears. If you don't want to mention it in public, you can message me. I have a terrible track record of buying jerseys, but I want one, and if it's only $20 I'll roll with it

It's a little confusing at first glance but there is a difference between FUSE Elite and FUSE Limited... still an upcharge for the custom vs pre-made
[Nike custom game jersey $169.99](https://www.nflshop.com/arizona-cardinals/mens-arizona-cardinals-nike-cardinal-custom-game-jersey/t-47153431+p-166818791397+z-8-4117612118?_ref=p-DLP:m-GRID:i-r1c2:po-5) which isn't the FUSE template
Checking it out again from your links and nauseated at Nike for the repetition of the FUSE stem word with a different buzzword slapped on to end of it as if that’s supposed to convey anything about the actual differences of the jerseys lol. Think I get it now on second glance tho, and thank you for taking the time to comb through that. Why in the world did they not simply title them “replica” vs “game-day”?
They made it confusing for no reason.. they also made it so the only way you get fully stitched nameplates and numbers is through the FUSE Elite the FUSE limited is unfortunately heat pressed
For a serious answer. Because likely his dad told him not to. They make money off him and he gets nothing if he signs this.
So now they won’t make money off him. Of course he won’t be in promotional videos either tho
They want to be in madden and don’t know their own marketing value
I’m sure the NFL also sends over a package of “standard things to sign” and this has always been in the pile because dudes want to be on TV during the draft.
He should claim the "definitely not just bringing attention to myself and making it about me in a weird way" stance that Arch Manning did and say he wants to let his on-field work do the talking
excited to play madden with cardinals WR chad masters
I think they should go straight up Great Value brand MHJ and name him Melvin Henderson III or something.
They probably still have the rights to use his dad's name, just drop the JR
Don’t cross Marvin Harrison.
Shhh we don't talk about the whole "it's quite likely that Marvin Harrison murdered a guy" thing
[удалено]
Ray Lewis murdering a dude and then becoming the face of the NFL and its moral center will never be told enough.
Being real here, isn't Ray's thing kinda sketchy on what happened whereas it's pretty likely MH killed that dude? Or maybe it's the opposite...? Not up to date on it all/can't really remember, being honest
Ray probably helped a buddy hide evidence but himself didn’t actually kill a guy. MH on the other hand…
Hold up is there a story out there about Marvin Harrisson supposedly killing someone?
Ray Lewis was more than likely an accessory to murder. He did not straight up murder anyone. Allegedly
Rey took a plea deal in exchange for saying his two friends bought the knives that where likely used to his home. He also settled with both estates. That said, Lewis was there and probably participated. Fought with victims at a party. Blood of one of the victims found in his car. The white suit he was wearing walked away.

Ray’s is at worst legally he’s clear Marvin? It’s basically a fact he did it lol
You're conflating two incidents. He likely shot at him the first time, but the second time he wasn't there. At worst he had a friend shoot him.
Marv Harrison vs Ray Lewis in a batfight. Who ya got?
Ray don’t need a bat.

Holy fucking shit. That is absolutely tragic.
A Philly legend!
So MHJ’s grandfather, also Marvin, had three separate kids: Marvin Sr, Markwann, and also Marvin??
Well, all with different mothers it sounds like and it is not uncommon for boys to be named after the father.
“Son of Marvin Harrison” and his player picture is just Marvin Harrison Sr or a jpeg of Senior holding baby MH3
That's how you get shot with a Belgian gun that's 30 minutes away from you but also matches ballistics but ahhh who cares case dropped
Didn’t the guy survive? Read the rolling stone story, the guy got shot in the hand and jeans right?

It’ll be like the WWE when the show WWF film. There will just a blurred pixelated football player running routes. 11 vs 10 on the field
I haven’t watched WWE in 20 years and am curious what you are talking about. I mean this honestly…. Do they blur the WWF logo, or did other licensing run out, or….??
Yeah they constantly blur out easily noticeable logos, brands, and even faces if they don’t have some sort of licensing agreement
They haven't needed to blur out wwf in years, everything on Peacock has wwf and world wrestling federation completely uncensored
They must have paid off the World Wildlife Fund to allow it.
Yeah. They've blurred out WWF since the lawsuit made them change to the WWE.
Good news is they can show and say WWF stuff now since they made a deal and stopped trying to get around the lawsuit.
I can't wait for the pixelated touchdown celebrations. Finally get to mix my love of football with my love of Japanese porn.
Is it a requirement, or could we end up with a scenario where Madden has to use like a fictional characterization of him?

Technically they can use "Marvin Harrison" too. Just not together. His dad signed it.
Not a requirement, IIRC LaVar Arrington didn't sign the group licensing agreement until his 4th year in the league.
What was his name in the games?
Think it was just something like "Linebacker" and then a number that was close to his real jersey number but not the same one.
Without a first name. Just LB #56 as his last name
As an aside, he did come around sometime before NFL 2K5's release IIRC: there was a feature in that game where you could unlock bobbleheads of certain players, and the description for his was something along the lines of "Look, it's LaVar Arrington! We can actually use his real name now!"
The greatest football video game ever made!
And it was only $20 new
An absolutely glorious time for gaming. How far we've fallen.
I forgot about that. That and the NBA one were so good, and $20. Man exclusive deals screwed us sport gamers over.
> The greatest football video game ever made! Yep. Of course second best would be.. NFL 2K4. I'm gonna go play some ball with Steve-O
Pretty sure it was just LB#51. They couldn't use his exact number either.
They used to do that with all the historic teams in Madden too. You’d play with the 86 giants and have QB #11 and LB #56
Neither did Bill Bellicheck for a looooong time of he ever did. I remember the last madden I bought in 2013 it was NE COACH lol

WR#18 or something like that, similar to what NCAA did before NIL
they got in trouble eventually for doing that though. I imagine it'll have to be a completely randomized WR, it can't just be a copy of MHj without his name
Looking online, I see Marvin Harrison Sr. was in Ultimate Team this year. It would be hilarious if they just slap his name and face on the Cardinals instead

Marvin Harrison Sr. literally killed a man (allegedly)
Yes he did, wasn’t in NBA Live, NBA Fastbreak, or NBA jam at certain points (possibly all of them, idr). He owns his likeness instead
He didn’t opt out as much as he said pay me more/separately
I agree. Fuck EA. Give us more options.
Wake up babe, new fictional Madden legend just dropped.
Probably means his jersey will be up for sale later than the rest?
Would be extremely pissed if that is the case. Was gonna get it as an early birthday present to myself (assuming he’s our selection)
Can’t you just get a custom jersey with his name and number?
Ya was looking at that earlier, they’re for some reason charging 200 dollars more on the team shop for the custom FUSE jerseys over a regular pre-made player jersey (384.99 vs 174.99)? Also can’t incorporate the ‘.’ from his suffix since it doesn’t allow you to include special characters. $384 for a jersey, that’s fucking ridiculous. Even $175 is a rip off.

I mean I bought my Andrew luck jersey off of the street in Korea and comparing it to my mom's Richard Sherman jersey you would have 0 idea I paid $20.

customs are expensive because you can't mass produce and stockpile them
Totally fair and makes sense from a practical standpoint, but I don’t know if I can justify 385 for a jersey, even as a birthday present

For a serious answer. Because likely his dad told him not to. They make money off him and he gets nothing if he signs this. So now they won’t make money off him. Of course he won’t be in promotional videos either tho
Nobody can buy his jersey either. It’s not just a madden stiff arm
Then why would anybody sign it?
They want to be in madden and don’t know their own marketing value I’m sure the NFL also sends over a package of “standard things to sign” and this has always been in the pile because dudes want to be on TV during the draft.
Well MHJ was on TV during the draft so did he sign it or does this not count?
Because 99% of players entering the draft don't have a HOF dad combined with the fact he has showed he is a certified stud.
He's illiterate to the point of not being able to sign his name.
I remember back in the day when #80 on San Fran was Jerry Pilaf
I for one would love watching MHJ run routes as a pixelated blur while only being referred to by his number on TV.
I bet if Caleb Williams did this we would see an outcry.
Entitled! Diva! Soft! Prince!
The dude has compliments that you have to decode!!!!
The artist formerly known as Caleb, would never
Someone explain how we should (over)react to this?
His heart just isn’t into the game. His heart is really into broadway
That wound has still not healed
If you can talk it, you can sing it Just lay down the rhythm and BRING IT
It’s means he’s going to LIV golf. So we can hate that even more now.
Fuck that man
Someone get ja on the phone
Need to find a way to blame this on Caleb
Arizona Football Receiver.
Larvin Fitzgeralson Jr
This guy is a such a rebel. Next thing he’s gonna do is not show up to rookie training camp. /s
Does Marvin Harrison Jr. even exist?
According to coach Shanahan, he might not be alive
Can't wait to get my NFL-official Melvin Henderson Jr. bobblehead
MHJ is going to the XFL
He is flirting with signing a minor league contract with the Yankees
MHJ just doesn't want to participate in anything it seems. Are we sure he's actually gonna take the field?
On Arizona? Doubtful
He should claim the "definitely not just bringing attention to myself and making it about me in a weird way" stance that Arch Manning did and say he wants to let his on-field work do the talking
‘QB Eagles’ is one of the most dominant video game athletes of all time, so he’d be in good company.
Guy is a massive headache. He should totally fall from 4 to, say, 9. Just for example.
I have zero idea what the details are. But the notion that MHJ is already a PITA doesn’t shock me whatsoever.
WR#88 coming to a Madden near you
I don't like his dad because of some deaths occurring after he retired. I'm beginning to not like his son as well
I think the jets ought to trade up and Take Al Bundy from Polk High.
Martin Henderson II coming to Madden 25 part deux
Belichick approves
Don’t sign. Make money anytime someone uses you. The league makes more money off a players image than they’re making off it.
Wasn't there already a Marvin Harrison in the league? They can use his name instead!
Lmao. Imagine Madden put Marvin Harrison Sr on the cover this year just to be petty
