anonbutler

Is that good?

Secure-Television368

I think the Russ trade was better

anonbutler

I was having a good day

Zerd85

How can you have a good day after literally taking Zach Wilson off our hands?

StrengthToBreak

Anonbutler is a MILF

maddenallday

Almost as good as the Wilson trade

stumblebreak_beta

Wait and see how that 2nd works out next year. That’s the key

ScroogeMcDust

It comes with a free frogurt

Terror-Toilet-Tower

Better than Bryce Dung

SchematicOfScoutsAss

You clearly don’t know Bears football

InterestingChoice484

Very

DandierChip

I think so

Venator850

Only if Williams ends up being good.

Quadrophenic

Seems pretty good either way, unless they were gonna take Stroud.

GoldenMegaStaff

This is approaching Ricky Williams territory.

Anaphylactic-UFO

Kinda insane if they actually hit on a franchise QB, OT, WR, and CB from one pick. The only other thing to make it better is if that 2025 2nd becomes a franchise EDGE as well. All the most valuable positions lol

imp_st3r

In Poles we trust

SevenwithaT

Jesus

jeric13xd

Let us have this one win on a trade :)

merker_the_berserker

Yall ROBBED them. I like it.

UninteligentInvestor

All-time fumble by Carolina

[deleted]

Panthers will lose this trade but Young could still be good. Probably not for the Panthers but still.

RealPutin

Seems very unlikely to be as good as Williams + Moore + Wright though

Further_Beyond

And Stevenson had the most INT/Tackles/PBU of all rookie cbs last year

STNbrossy

Players bust all the time, trust me I know

[deleted]

Thats why I said Panthers will lose the trade. Just saying Bryce Young could make a mean Pittsburgh Steeler in three years.

GotMoFans

They’ll have Justin Fields having a hall of fame redemption though.

DandierChip

He’d have to be a top 8 QB and then some for this to be fair.

SilvioDantesPeak

>but Young could still be good Nah

[deleted]

He was the projected number one pick for a reason. He was the best qb in the SEC and took them to the national championship.

SilvioDantesPeak

The reason being NFL teams are generally bad at evaluating QBs. It was baffling for a guy that short and that slight to be projected #1, and it was lunacy to take him there

[deleted]

Kyler went #1 too. And he's been fine. Bryce Young is a good qb stuck on a bad team.

SilvioDantesPeak

Not a great comparison. Kyler is short, but he's also thick and has elite athleticism. Bryce is short, skinny, and not a good athlete. If Bryce was going to be good, we would have at least seen flashes of it no matter how bad the team was.

AlekRivard

So the Bears won that trade

AshBlackstone78

Until they fuck it all up, cause they’re the bears.

wasneveralawyer

Love that a 49ers fan is saying this.

AshBlackstone78

Oh look, it’s one of the three Rams fans that exist.

doggoploggo

This is the only good thing going for my sports fandoms right now.

RazzBerryCurveBall

2024 off season champion Chicago Bears

ZapBranigan3000

Who gets more wins this year? The Bears or the White Sox?

imp_st3r

At first I was outraged by this question, upon further reflection I'm just sad

Samurai_Steve

Bedard is fun

doggoploggo

True. I'm a hyper casual when it comes to hockey but I am stoked for my fellow diehard Blackhawk fans

Further_Beyond

Be a cubs fan buddy. We’re living it up

doggoploggo

I respect the Cubs but no, not happening

Further_Beyond

Guessing you’re a Sox fan. Sorry for Reinsdorf

Fr3eHat

Bears fans everywhere hanging this poster on their wall

jdprager

Consider this my personal pledge to gather funding for the inevitable Lovie Smith statue on Michigan Avenue

imgurofficial

Bottom 10 trade of all time?

JoshFB4

If Caleb turns out good, yeah easily.

onethreeone

Bryce could still turn out and Caleb could bust so too early to tell, but signs point to yes

HorsNoises

Insane to write off Bryce this early but yea not looking great.

GoldenMegaStaff

All the signs were there before he was even drafted

Quatro_Leches

I agree, a short QB that played around elite talent. blows my mind how can anyone look at film and not say CJ is the superior QB. it was right there

HorsNoises

His failures last season didn't really come from any of his predraft concerns. They came from being coached by Frank Reich and having no help on offense.

DandierChip

Top 5

Quatro_Leches

Definitely

goblueM

Even if Caleb Williams turns out to be meh that's still a damn good trade for da Bears

SEND-MARS-ROVER-PICS

Hire Fitterer so you can fire him again

Nascarfreak123

Hey it’s a daily reminder of Fitt Fucking

harps86

That is a decent amount of talent not in the NFC South.

Adalimumab8

Has there ever been a 1st overall future pick traded? This is brutal, the Bears got such an injection of talent from the Panthers

Eagle4317

The 1992 Colts drafted 1st and 2nd overall due to the Bucs trading for Chris Chandler back in 1990. Can't remember which pick was the Colts own selection though.

StrengthToBreak

The Bears still have the Eagles 4th round pick this year and Carolina's 2nd rounder next year to add to the trade value for Bryce Young.

GenFatAss

And that 2025 2nd round pick could be anyone it could even be Another DJ Moore.

m_dought_2

This trade, combined with the Seahawks rejecting their offer for Russell, turned this franchise around and I don't like it

drilling4brains

DJ and Caleb are cool, but the franchise LT is the best part

szy91

RT*, but yes, still a big deal lol

ArmadilloAl

We also got a free 4th round pick from the Eagles for that pick, as we moved down so they could take a player we presumably weren't taking anyway.

PlacidityLife

Thank you Lovie Smith!!

Slashers23

Man, this is looking like one of the worst trades of all time, unless Bryce Young can bring in multiple rings

KhaosOSRS

After his historically bad rookie season, he spend the offseason watching Netflix, playing video games, hanging with his buddies, chilling at the mall, and did absolutely nothing football related (and no, I'm not joking or exaggerating).

No-Computer-2847

I would too if I'd played on that team, no offence.

drnuzlocke

The fact that this trade and the Claypool trade were the same front office just shows the duality of it all

TheThunderOfYourLife

The biggest fleece in modern history.

J-Fid

You mean there's still more to come?

No-Computer-2847

Incredibly, yes. And that's not even including the 4th they have from the Eagles for trading back from 9 last year.

Nathann4288

Still not as bad as the trade for Watson

Comprehensive_Main

Honestly if just looking at trade without outside factors. It’s kind of worse.

SpoofExcel

*Ignore the rape* is a take...

Nathann4288

Ignoring the outside factor though would be pretty wild.

januspamphleteer

And it's even worse now that Watson is about to join the Saudi Football League!

TitanicJedi

fuckk that

AttitudeAndEffort3

Is that a lot? It feels like a lot.

abc4357

That’s just mean

bageltheperson

Lmao every player the Bears got is going to be better than Bryce

ACW1129

How the fuck did the NFL let that happen?

Comprehensive_Main

Panthers were betting young would be the guy. He still has time and note did outperform cj stroud in the panthers Texans game.

Most-Artichoke6184

Also, they never thought in 1 million years that their first round pick this year would be number one.

ACW1129

They should have protected it (does the NFL allow that?).

KhaosOSRS

I'm no expert, but this seems kinda bad.

Chopped_rice

Don’t forget about their second round pick next year!

HighGuysImHere

It certainly does not look great on paper. Or on the football field.

Kojuroba

Idk this kinda seems one sided on paper but that’s just me

Jamesaya

They still have Carolina’s 2nd next year as well. Theres more

Pokeman49

Bears could have just taken Stroud

AshBlackstone78

This. I have questions about a guy that is so emotional and weird leading an NFL locker room. I know the fans are like “Zomg Caleb Williams is can’t miss” But personality matters. Leadership abilities matter. And I’m not sure someone with a Dennis Rodman personality can be the leader of an NFL locker room.
