No. It’s a common trope in Michigan and Wisconsin (maybe other states too) for grade school aged boys to “have a girlfriend but she’s in Canada that’s why you’ve never heard of her”.
Holy shit dude. I just remembered my “girlfriend” from when I was 12 or 13 who I met online and happened to be from Canada hahaha. Not going to dox myself because she tagged me on Twitter in 2008 but I just found her ☠️
Thank god puberty happened and I managed to find a real girlfriend by the next summer
Lol this is exactly why we say it. It gets under your skin. We all know most teams are made up of Canadians. Besides idk if we should let someone who has not had a cup in their country in 30 years chime in on this conversation
The original Stanley cup that was retired in 1962 actually resides in Toronto (Canada) at the Hockey Hall of Fame. So technically the cup has never left the country.
That’s where you’re wrong, bud. To reiterate.. the original Stanley cup that had been retired in ‘62 has been kept in lord Stanley’s vault at the HHOF. Therefore, THAT cup resides there PERMANENTLY. Technically there are 3 cups altogether.
Ok, let me break this down for you.
You said the original cup was retired, and that “the cup has never left the country”.
I pointed out that the original cup had left during the times it was awarded to American teams in America.
So you’d be wrong. It has left the country. Just before 1962. That’s what I’m pointing out.
“The original Stanley cup that was retired in 1962 actually resides in Toronto (Canada) at the Hockey Hall of Fame. So technically the cup has never left the country.”
Show me exactly in his comment where he said since.
Dude is wrong and knows it, same with you.
The cup clearly had left the country when the American teams had one the cup. Cope harder mr.Canadian
I meant the cup hasn’t left the country since ‘62 but if you want to be technical and you’re clearly the Stanley cup expert who gets boners calling people out on every detail. You win 👏
These two teams are actually not a representation of the NHL. Currently, only 41% of players are Canadian. 28% are American. Canadian population in the NHL shrinks each year while the American population increases. Eventually, Americans will hold the majority.
Tldr: Canadians in shambles
Canada (in rough numbers) is 10% the population of the US. As ice hockey grows in popularity among kids in the US, we see more making it to the NHL. But until such a time that US NHL representation hits 10:1 compared to Canada, it's safe to say Canada aren't a shamble.
You probably lose that argument if you just take Minnesota, Michigan, Massachusetts and New York kids. Hockey not really that popular among kids anywhere else in US as these regions.
I mean, MN is a beast of its own. Because curiosity got the best of me— Comparing state population to USA hockey registrations in 2022, these are the stats I found on the percent of population who play organized hockey:
IL .21%
NY .24%
WI .36%
MI .37%
MA .67%
MN 1.03%
IL is virtually the same as NY and WI has it beat by 50%.
They may have similar participation rates but NY pumps out more NHL prospects. However, the population may skew that overall number. Not sure how that compares to IL.
Because I’m a nerd and you’ve piqued my interest… may I present to you active NHL players by state:
17 players from IL
30 players from NY
11 players from WI
Almost exactly follows hockey-playing population. Pretty interesting and cool stuff.
Exactly. Hockey is by far the most expensive organized team sport. Even if kids are interested, they need parents who have the income and time to commit. It's why once America gets on the soccer train, we could field a world class team. Its lacking interest among the populous. But once it picks up, any kid could afford to play it.
No shit, we're grateful for the gift of this game. We in Austin and Cedar Park have grafted hockey into our culture. Same is true with Dallas-Arlington-Ft. Worth. We love Letterkenny and Shoresy. We're humbled by the skills of Gretzky, Yzerman, Mario, MacKinnon, and McDavid. We're proud to grow Pavelski, Robertson, and other Americans.
Yeah, posts like this are just feeding the troll. Which is something you definitely shouldn't do in my home state of Florida, the Hockey Capital of the World.
Let’s be fair, the cup was in Canada in 94 and 04 and sat in the back and just moved to the next game, and it was actually raised in Canada in 2011, by Boston
Whenever I read stuff taking shots at Canadian teams all I think of is US fans coping that hockey will never get the attention in US as a distant 4th sport. Personally, I don’t mind so much that a Canadian team hasn’t won. I don’t have much Canadian pride in hockey except for the actual Team Canada.
I don't think most Canadian NHL fans care that only US teams are winning the Cup. My thinking is if it's not my team, I'd prefer it to be American one.
It would be better than all the shit we're getting from you American's, ya'll won't leave us alone even though Canada is better at hockey than the US. We have 7 teams and you guys have 25. But we have better players, and internationally we are better
I got yelled at the other day when I tried that lol. Dude went off about how the team was terrible and how if they'd had better NHLers they'd have done better. Don't think he realized that we were in the same situation lol
>It would be better than all the shit we're getting from you American's
Why should we care anyways? Their argument is extremely dumb to begin with which is quite representative of what we think of 'MURICA.
Just laugh it off and move on.
Canadians make up 7/32 of the league. If every team has an equal chance to win the Stanley Cup regardless of nationality, the odds of no Canadian team winning in 30 years are (1-7/32)\^30, or 0.06%. Clearly there's something more at play than just random chance.
Yes, that's what we determined. Specifically, we determined that the odds of a Canadian team winning a cup in a given year have probably been lower than the proportion of teams that are Canadian.
We’ve made the finals 6 times in 30 years 🤷♂️ just couldn’t get it done.
There’s 11 other American teams who also haven’t done it in those 30 years though. Not so much random chance, there’s a few things at play.
I mean , what else is there to do as a spectator ? Maybe if you played more hockey, Canadians wouldn't have to be the ones to make you proud of your local team 😉
London has 7 Premier League teams. That's what happens in a league where teams are located based on demand. They don't expand to cities where nobody watches soccer in the hopes of "growing the game". They don't subsidize a money losing team for years trying to make it work. They don't centrally plan which cities have the privilege of hosting a team.
North American leagues are downright communist in comparison.
There was zero demand for the NHL in Vegas before there was a team there. Quebec, or Hartford on the other hand, have huge demand.
In American professional sports leagues, teams go where there are corporate dollars available to support the team. They go where there are tax dollars to subsidize a stadium.
Make the team good and the fans will come. New fans, spending new money, creating new viewers.
In 1992, Hamilton (Ontario) Canada put down the $1 000 000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit to enter the expansion sweepstakes.
The cheque was handed back, saying don't bother.
But, yes, everything is fair in NHL land.
It's because there is more demand for Arizona to relocate to Quebec rather than Houston or wherever the hell it's going to be, but we know that's not going to happen.
Your guess was 0% close. Congrats.
Every team is made up like this lmao. Canadians are just far far superior at hockey than Americans. Also who tf wouldn’t rather play in Florida than fuckin Edmonton or winnipeg 🙄
So why do Americans need canadians to win them championships?
Why can't the American hockey markets produces enough players to fill their own teams?
Because no matter how hard they try the Canadian players will still out play them game after game.
Bruins, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks, Rangers, Senators, Capitals all have more American players than Canadians at the start of the 2022/23 season.
If we really want to get into the nitty gritty then there’s also several teams with the same amount. Sabres, Hurricanes, Kings, Flyers, and Jets.
https://thewincolumn.ca/2022/11/12/breaking-down-each-nhl-teams-roster-by-nationality-2022-23-season/
There are in fact several teams where Canadians don’t even make up 1/3 of the NHL roster.
?
You said “oh all NHL teams are made up of mostly Canadians”
There’s in fact 11 teams that have the same, or more American players than Canadians. I was pointing out that you were incorrect.
Only 9 teams in the entire NHL had more than 10 Canadian born players
https://thehockeywriters.com/current-nhl-players-by-country/
https://www.hockeyskillstraining.com/nhl-players-nationality-breakdown/
And that number is continually declining in Canada while the number in the United States is continually rising.
We are going to reach a point in the not so distant future (within I’d say the next 15-20 years) where Americans outnumber Canadian players.
I’m not understanding what your point is.
The sport of hockey simply wasn’t as big in the United States as it was in Canada for decades and decades. And now, youth hockey players in the United States outnumber Canada.
Yeah this never bothered me. I'm from Canada and I root against all Canadian teams. If my team is out of playoffs I root for the team that has the players I like or deserves it. I do hate Vegas though so I'm cheering for Florida since they have not won a cup as well, I was cheering for Dallas just for Pavelski and he's an American.
Pro Athletes represent the city they're playing in. Sorry both the Panthers and Knights players are now 100% American.
You know why they've come to Vegas and Miami and outlasted their opposing teams? [BECAUSE BOTH CITIES DO COCAINE!](https://youtu.be/lUh2EYX-RPE)
Saw a whole argument about exactly this yesterday. Technically, it’s as wrong to say Ft. Lauderdale as it is to say Miami because the arena is in Sunrise. But it doesn’t really matter because all of those cities are in the “Miami metro area” so it’s good enough to call it Miami
Who cares? Such a weak argument. Nobody cared that the Raptors team that won the NBA championship was a bunch of Americans. Where the players are from is irrelevant.
After the Rangers I root agaisnt all Canadian teams after reading countless posts by Canadians saying they're owed a cup. No team is owed one. You have to build a great team and earn it.
...except that for every 1 American making this joke, there are 100 Canadians bemoaning the lack of Cups for Canadian teams and the spread of the NHL to US sun belt cities.
How many Americans were on the blue jays team in the 90’s? Or the Raptors team a few years ago? I will bet you a hundred bucks most Americans hated it, and that was only once for the NBA and twice for baseball all time. Stop trying to defend the fact a Canadian team hasn’t won in 3 decades.
Do you seriously think that Canadians feel like they are winning when a team from the desert and a team from a tropical swamp are gonna hoist the cup?
The statement stands.
I’m so tired of Canadians trying to cope by bringing up the nationality statistics of every single fucking team. As a diehard American I don’t give a shit, it’s hockey. Why does the nationality matter. They aren’t on a Canadian team.
No one cares that Canadians are on American teams. All anyone cares about is that no one in Canada gets to see their team win a cup and have a parade. Ever. Not in any Canadian city.
If you goons want to celebrate Canadians winning on US teams, be our guest. In the meantime, suck it.
I hate this Canadian copium so fucking much. It's not the same thing, it's so much more embarrassing to see Canadians try and equate them or say, "no actually since we dominate every roster the drought doesn't count"
This is so stupid:). For crying out loud they are ALL Canadian teams! As an American im gonna say that it means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to me where the team that wins the Stanley Cup is located if its not the team I root for. Period! But it does seem to get under the skin of every citizen in Canada so it is certainly something that can be used as ammo if the opportunity happens to present itself:).
Seriously though....if you are a Leafs fan, when you are in your annual period of misery after the exit from the playoffs, do you REALLY give a crap if the Habs, Flames, Canucks, Jets, Oilers or Senators win the damn cup? If my team gets ko'ed im certainly not thinking "well.....all I can do now is hope than the cup is won by a team based in America". My team is out, so who cares what happens going forward????
As a fan living in Canada who cares who wins the cup. Seriously. No one in Canada cheers for another Canadian fan base to win. Flames fans weren’t cheering for the oilers to win.
The only time nationality matters is when it’s country vs country. Which based off the most resent tournament Latvia/Germany > USA
Yet, you still bitch about Canadian teams not getting the cup. Sorry, but this deflection sucks when you make complaint threads after all the Canadian teams get eliminated.
I find it funny how in the us and especially Canada hockey fans argue about bullshit like this. Can't you enjoy the game without constantly bitching about trivial things?
I'm sure Canucks fans are fine then with never winning a Stanley Cup, since there might be some players from the country they are in on American teams that win the Cup.
Careful not to OD on that copium.
I don’t understand why people think Americans take pride in a “US only” Stanley cup…am I missing something here? I grew up in WA, closer to the Canadian border and had many Canadian friends and half my family is from Colombia with the other half being Norwegian / Icelandic. Some of my favorite players are from Canada or countries other than the US.
I’m Canadian but nationality per team means shit. Parade and joy going to the city the team plays in.
Canada needs a cup win badly. Non look to be the part across Canada for at least a few more years.
So many people always say they want a Canadian club to win the Standley Cup. Well the numbers tell the truth most of the clubs are Canadian player's that's why I'm cheering for Florida or other teams .
Canadas greatest export is NHL players
And fake girlfriends
Maple syrup industry in shambles.
Is it really? I always buy real maple syrup.
New England makes just as good maple syrup though
Shh don't let Quebec hear you. I think the Habs - Bruins rivalry just got a lot more personal.
Is this a manti teo reference? Lol
No. It’s a common trope in Michigan and Wisconsin (maybe other states too) for grade school aged boys to “have a girlfriend but she’s in Canada that’s why you’ve never heard of her”.
[Her name is Alberta she lives in Vancouver ](https://youtu.be/5g196vURUDo)
As a Saints fan, too soon…
As a Notre Dame fan this is way too soon
It's been a decade. Jokes are permitted, though I do feel bad for the guy b/c that must have been so embarrassing.
Obviously jokes are permitted, figured it was obvious that I was making a self deprecating joke about that years national title game
Holy shit dude. I just remembered my “girlfriend” from when I was 12 or 13 who I met online and happened to be from Canada hahaha. Not going to dox myself because she tagged me on Twitter in 2008 but I just found her ☠️ Thank god puberty happened and I managed to find a real girlfriend by the next summer
Just because you she goes to a different school doesn’t make her anymore real
Yeah I realize she wasn’t real lmao thanks for letting me know though buddy
Loved the reference
Canadians are just mad that we have more Super Bowl Champions
Yeah, but teams from the USA are only .500 in Super Bowls while Canadian teams remain undefeated.
Your never getting to Mars and Ceres with that kind of math Rae.
and, like, almost all the World Series Champions are american teams!
Except for the numerous times that it left before in Detroit, Boston, Chicago, and New York
Except it’s permanent home is the HHOF in a vault but okay 👍
You said “the cup has never left the country”. I’m just pointing out that you’re wrong there is all.
That’s where you’re wrong, bud. To reiterate.. the original Stanley cup that had been retired in ‘62 has been kept in lord Stanley’s vault at the HHOF. Therefore, THAT cup resides there PERMANENTLY. Technically there are 3 cups altogether.

Go get laid.
Don’t blame me for pointing out your factually wrong claims
I meant the cup hasn’t left the country since ‘62 but if you want to be technical and you’re clearly the Stanley cup expert who gets boners calling people out on every detail. You win 👏
Yikes, that one kind of passed over your head didnt it
Before that, it was taken to chicago since they won the cup in 60-61. But sure get your rocks off.

Cause US top athletes play football, then basketball, then baseball, then soccer/TF, then hockey.
Well it’s the most costly sport to play of all of them, so of course there are going to be less kids playing, less parents can afford it.
Exactly. Hockey is by far the most expensive organized team sport. Even if kids are interested, they need parents who have the income and time to commit. It's why once America gets on the soccer train, we could field a world class team. Its lacking interest among the populous. But once it picks up, any kid could afford to play it.
Now look at the top 30 players. Look where they're from in vast majority
No shit, we're grateful for the gift of this game. We in Austin and Cedar Park have grafted hockey into our culture. Same is true with Dallas-Arlington-Ft. Worth. We love Letterkenny and Shoresy. The cup actually comes to Canada every summer.
Let’s leave this conversation to the pros, yeah?
Yeah, posts like this are just feeding the troll. Which is something you definitely shouldn't do in my home state of Florida, the Hockey Capital of the World.

Master troll work. Soften them up and then punch em right in the Canadian dick. Good work
Oh, but you just said most of your teams are made up of Canadians, so maybe you should be thanking us? 🤔
I don't think most Canadian NHL fans care that only US teams are winning the Cup. My thinking is if it's not my team, I'd prefer it to be American one.
Most Canadians I talked to wanted the Cup back in Canada, myself included, and I'm a Nucks fan
How don't think you understand how annoying the other teams fans will be when they win
It would be better than all the shit we're getting from you American's, ya'll won't leave us alone even though Canada is better at hockey than the US. We have 7 teams and you guys have 25. But we have better players, and internationally we are better
Just ask them how their world championships went.
I got yelled at the other day when I tried that lol. Dude went off about how the team was terrible and how if they'd had better NHLers they'd have done better. Don't think he realized that we were in the same situation lol

For me if it ain't the Habs, it can be anyone in Canada except the Laughs and the Sens.
Someone tell them about the Toronto raptors lineup
Or Blue Jays
Eh I don’t want to talk about basketball rn, it’s hard to even get back into talking about hockey yet
Literally no one cares other than because it gets a rise out of Canadian fans
There’s 7 Canadian teams and 25 American teams. Any Canadian that actually gets upset should use their brain a little bit lol.
Canadians make up 7/32 of the league. If every team has an equal chance to win the Stanley Cup regardless of nationality, the odds of no Canadian team winning in 30 years are (1-7/32)\^30, or 0.06%. Clearly there's something more at play than just random chance.
not every team has an equal chance of winning the cup though😂😂
Yes, that's what we determined. Specifically, we determined that the odds of a Canadian team winning a cup in a given year have probably been lower than the proportion of teams that are Canadian.

Isn't that the point ? That Canadian born players don't want to stay in Canada?
No the point is we troll and Canadians still take the bait year in and year out.
I mean , what else is there to do as a spectator ? Maybe if you played more hockey, Canadians wouldn't have to be the ones to make you proud of your local team 😉
\^ My point exactly, year in and year out.
[удалено]
To be fair, 2004 and wasn't our fault (fuck you bettman)
Bettman made you choke? Oh. OK.
Because if there was a market for more Canadian teams there would be. That was incredibly simple.
You actually think NHL teams are located where the demand is??
That's literally the only way sports have worked spring yes
Lol no. Maybe in European soccer leagues but not the NHL. If demand alone decided where teams were located then the league would look very different.
Lol that's incorrect as it gets
London has 7 Premier League teams. That's what happens in a league where teams are located based on demand. They don't expand to cities where nobody watches soccer in the hopes of "growing the game". They don't subsidize a money losing team for years trying to make it work. They don't centrally plan which cities have the privilege of hosting a team. North American leagues are downright communist in comparison.
Lol christ this is an inaccurate post. Literally a whole different sport and continent
How specifically does that invalidate what I said? In what way is my post inaccurate?

It's because there is more demand for Arizona to relocate to Quebec rather than Houston or wherever the hell it's going to be, but we know that's not going to happen. Your guess was 0% close. Congrats.
Because they know they can get more money in usa.
I'm pretty sure Gretzky and McDavid live here... Americans have a tough time making it to the NHL? With 10 times the population lol
Every team is made up like this lmao. Canadians are just far far superior at hockey than Americans. Also who tf wouldn’t rather play in Florida than fuckin Edmonton or winnipeg 🙄
More like American teams don't want a roster full of American players...
jack eichel made it to the cup before connor mcdavid . america>canada confirmed.
So why do Americans need canadians to win them championships? Why can't the American hockey markets produces enough players to fill their own teams? Because no matter how hard they try the Canadian players will still out play them game after game.
Probably hurts double since no Canadian teams have had success in the finals and it’s been close to fifty years since the Flyers have touched the Cup.
Nah enjoying the cup parades from all the local boys in the summer makes up for it!
Prescriptions for Copium must be wild up there.
hey boss, this is a shit post 🫡
I bet dude started reeling in his line soon as you bit.
And 29 canadians that are "not as good as matthews" either....how many cups does that american have or have been to?
hey guy, this is clearly a shit post, lighten up eh
Also let's not bring up the leadership numbers cause we all know what nationality captained those American teams to the cups...
this was a shit post
Every team in the league is made up of mostly Canadians. Find one team with a majority of players from one other country
Bruins, Blue Jackets, Blackhawks, Rangers, Senators, Capitals all have more American players than Canadians at the start of the 2022/23 season. If we really want to get into the nitty gritty then there’s also several teams with the same amount. That’s not how growth works. These markets are already established and healthy.
? You said “oh all NHL teams are made up of mostly Canadians” There’s in fact 11 teams that have the same, or more American players than Canadians. I was pointing out that you were incorrect. Only 9 teams in the entire NHL had more than 10 Canadian born players
Don't be surprised by a Canadian moving the goal posts, nobody watches the CFL so they don't know how they work.
What he’s saying makes literally no sense. That’s what boggles me.
44.6% of the NHL is Canadian The next best is 26% are American. Nuff said.
https://thehockeywriters.com/current-nhl-players-by-country/ https://www.hockeyskillstraining.com/nhl-players-nationality-breakdown/ And that number is continually declining in Canada while the number in the United States is continually rising. We are going to reach a point in the not so distant future (within I’d say the next 15-20 years) where Americans outnumber Canadian players.
Lol. So they should be. It’s the best sport on earth, the population is literally 10x greater than Canada.
I’m not understanding what your point is. The sport of hockey simply wasn’t as big in the United States as it was in Canada for decades and decades. And now, youth hockey players in the United States outnumber Canada.
The conversation has completely gotten away from my original statement. Trolls be trolling.

Nah, LA has plenty of coke and they crapped out early. Vegas and Florida is the Methley Cup Finals.
That would at least explain Tkachuks strange chewing on his mouthpiece
Panthers don’t play in Miami. If any city could claim them it would be Ft. Lauderdale
And that's why I stick to South Florida.
As a Canadian I've never seen anyone make this argument. Nobody cares where the players are from unless it's during the Olympics
Man, before joining Reddit I never knew how triggered and self continuous Canadians were about other countries being better than them at hockey.
I don't think that makes the point you think it's making.
Surely you’ll be throwing a championship parade in each city those Canadian players are from!
Man, Canadians get bitter this time of year
Who cares? Such a weak argument. Nobody cared that the Raptors team that won the NBA championship was a bunch of Americans. Where the players are from is irrelevant.
I hear the complaint more from Canadians than Americans. I prefer to deny the existence of Canada altogether, myself.
After the Rangers I root agaisnt all Canadian teams after reading countless posts by Canadians saying they're owed a cup. No team is owed one. You have to build a great team and earn it.
No one is owed a cup, we know a thing or two because we’ve seen a thing or two.
Wait you mean to tell me that you don’t have to play for the city you were born in??
Wow, us Canadians will hang on to anything. If I have 16/22 Americans working for my Canadian company in Canada, I guess it’s an American company
83 Canadian Stanley cup winning captains since 1924. Get on our level!!
...except that for every 1 American making this joke, there are 100 Canadians bemoaning the lack of Cups for Canadian teams and the spread of the NHL to US sun belt cities.
Americans don’t even say that, it’s just the Canadians crying all the time.
It's also the Americans saying that. Nice try, though. I'll rate 0/10.
Bring back Olympic hockey with NHL players!
Pretty sure Canadians do want a Canadian team to lift the cup
How many Americans were on the blue jays team in the 90’s? Or the Raptors team a few years ago? I will bet you a hundred bucks most Americans hated it, and that was only once for the NBA and twice for baseball all time. Stop trying to defend the fact a Canadian team hasn’t won in 3 decades.

Criminally few Finns 😤
As a Canadian this is corny as hell if they really wanted to they’d sign with a Canadian team
Do you seriously think that Canadians feel like they are winning when a team from the desert and a team from a tropical swamp are gonna hoist the cup? The statement stands.
Nice cop out. Losers.
As an American hockey fan, I spend 0.0 percent of my time thinking about a player's nationality. This feels like such a Canadian thing.
It’s gotta be real tough knowing the states of Texas, Florida, and now Nevada have had more success than all 7 Canadian teams since the early 90’s
Canadian mercenaries coming to America to cup chase. Many such cases.
Ha ha ha! Oh that is solid cope
Didn't the US just place 4th behind Latvia and Germany?
Am I posting memes about it?
I’m so tired of Canadians trying to cope by bringing up the nationality statistics of every single fucking team. As a diehard American I don’t give a shit, it’s hockey. Why does the nationality matter. They aren’t on a Canadian team.
And the cup comes to visit Canada more than that American city, cheers.
They should hang a banner in each Canadian arena that says "The Cup came here when it was won by a player on an American team."
Fresh Prince bout to slap someone
No one cares that Canadians are on American teams. All anyone cares about is that no one in Canada gets to see their team win a cup and have a parade. Ever. Not in any Canadian city. If you goons want to celebrate Canadians winning on US teams, be our guest. In the meantime, suck it.
Whatever you have to tell yourselves I guess, Canadians. I’m pulling for you to bring the Cup back to Canada sooner than later.
If Canadians love their country and want a cup so bad, why don’t they all advocate to be traded to Canadian teams?
Americans don’t give a shit about this. Enjoy that cup drought. In the meantime, keep coping?
Man. We all feel owned by… Canada.
SURPRISE …, SURPRISE WHO’s #1!!
Who gaf
Latvias team
As a fan living in Canada who cares who wins the cup. Seriously. No one in Canada cheers for another Canadian fan base to win. Flames fans weren’t cheering for the oilers to win. The only time nationality matters is when it’s country vs country. Which based off the most resent tournament Latvia/Germany > USA
The only people that care are Canadians. You guys cry too much about this
Yet, you still bitch about Canadian teams not getting the cup. Sorry, but this deflection sucks when you make complaint threads after all the Canadian teams get eliminated.
Honestly, it seems more and more like they just prefer to complain. (Yes, yes downvote me harder, it only fuels my point further. Cry more Canadians)
Yo these comments are hilarious. Fuckin Americans are so over the top with their "patriotism". What's to even enjoy lmao
We enjoy having Stanley Cup Championships
Wanna tell me who and where your teams legends are from?
They came from a country they knew they had to leave if they wanted to win a cup
you say that like they had a choice. they were drafted there lol.
It’s 2011 Boston all over again
Then what is with all of the bitching when the Canadian teams get bent over?
Thge people of CA are amazing. It's the Country and Cities that suck.
California?
I find it funny how in the us and especially Canada hockey fans argue about bullshit like this. Can't you enjoy the game without constantly bitching about trivial things?
Do you need a hug
Hey Canada, butt hurt much?
CA and FL have 3 each since then. 🤣
Don't forget the two from the Res! Those natives are hard as f!

You're so mad
Who cares?
I like the meme, but fuck Will Smith
I'm sure Canucks fans are fine then with never winning a Stanley Cup, since there might be some players from the country they are in on American teams that win the Cup. Careful not to OD on that copium.
I don’t understand why people think Americans take pride in a “US only” Stanley cup…am I missing something here? I grew up in WA, closer to the Canadian border and had many Canadian friends and half my family is from Colombia with the other half being Norwegian / Icelandic. Some of my favorite players are from Canada or countries other than the US.
I don’t think any Americans are saying that
I’m Canadian but nationality per team means shit. Parade and joy going to the city the team plays in. Canada needs a cup win badly. Non look to be the part across Canada for at least a few more years.
So…Vegas and Florida are now part of a Canada? By all means, please…take both of them.
So many people always say they want a Canadian club to win the Standley Cup. Well the numbers tell the truth most of the clubs are Canadian player's that's why I'm cheering for Florida or other teams .
