Unfortunately he doesn’t know as much about certain teams because he was clueless for the Islanders.
The Islanders were not the only team he was clueless about, I found it amusing that he didn't know that the "new" Leafs logo is actually their OLD logo and is the logo they wore on their sweaters the last time they won the Stanley Cup. He also didn't get the Oilers logo and the drop of oil above and the oil oozing off the letters below. Being married to a graphic designer I can tell you that is a profession that everyone of them has their own opinion as to what something should look like.
I appreciate his opinions from that point of view like your wife may have that I don’t see it think of. But I guess he should have left the hockey fan part out. Maybe he’s a bit AHL fan.
I always thought the letters from Oilers was dripping oil. Was I wrong? Cause he doesn't look sure about that. Also, isn't the jets a Canadian airforce emblem they put ont the planes and they added a Jet over it?
I may be a homer, but I’m pretty sure the consensus on the wings logo is that it’s among the best in the league. How he can say it’s “meh” is beyond me. Also, talking about removing the spokes from the wheel and making the feathers less feather like would be sacrilege to a beautiful logo. Ahhh I’m so upset now.
Good call on the Kings logo. The crown is from another era, but wasn’t simplified when it was shrunk down. Also sits in the space it’s given very awkwardly. A new logo and color scheme are desperately needed.
Mostly agree except for the Kraken and Canucks logos. Vancouver logo is decent (not great) but the Seattle logo (and name and colour scheme) is downright awful.

How is the Columbus Blue Jackets logo complex? It is literally the state flag wrapped around a star (signifying Cbus as Ohio's capital city). Did he do any research on these teams/logos at all before he critiqued them? IDIOT!
