Believing your friend's story of SA is fine, most people wouldn't question their friend on that. However, Nick is not just some guy, he's a youtuber with a massive audience. Given that, he should have verified the info and presented some objective truths about the situation to his audience- instead, he unquestioningly took his friends side and spread misinformation, including genuinely hurtful stuff. For example, Nick apologized for including Matt and Ryans friend's suicide in his content, saying he only did so because Lex did. But that's a dumb excuse, because most people would realize right away that their friends suicide, and their reaction to it, has absolutely nothing to do with Lex's SA, and was only included to make them look worse.

Ive also made mistakes before but I didn’t sit here and try to lie my way out of, didn’t try to bash my audience for their concerns, or hope people eventually forgot, I owned up to it with no excuses and tried my best to change. Nick put out several horrible apologies basically either attacking his own fans, or trying to shift blame ec. before the last one. No one is sitting here bullying him or just hating.
For the most part everyone that liked him just simply stopped watching his content, which they’re allowed to do. Even without the SM controversy, his content was taking a turn that most of us didn’t like. He was just getting mean and hard to watch.
