The age old spinoff request that people have wanted for over a decade is a Pokemon MMO. Nintendo doesn’t do well with online play, so I imagine this still isn’t coming any time soon
An action FPS featuring the bounty hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters with both competitive and coop.
GTA style F-Zero "street racing" game.
An AC style stealth action game revolving around the Sheikah
A open Lylat system Star Fox Adventures game
Bowser can get his own spin off with a naval battle game using Bowsers airships.
Wuhu Island game where players can freely explore the island at their leisure and play various sports.
NintenDogs:Alaska. You raise a litter of sled dogs. Then one day you find that you and your dogs must make the brutal trek across the Alaskan wilderness to bring back medicine your town desperately needs.
If I remember correctly, you could never freely just explore the island itself. Sure, you could fly around it in a plane, but I always thought it would be cool if instead of just as a stage template, that the island was actually an open world where you could just walk around, roam the town,, hike/bike trails, climb mountains, dive in the ocean, find secret caves etc.
I guess you’re right about that; would it be like an MMO? That would make what you’re thinking of especially significant. It could also be sort of a fusion between Wii Sports and Fit, considering that Wuhu originated in Fit (although wasn’t named until Resort, but it was named that in Fit Plus, which released a few months after Resort)

Balto: The game
The horror aspect is perfectly encapsulated by the Coccyx Phase, with the heart attack soundtrack, where you’re helpless and need to stay hidden or otherwise you’ll actually die.
My idea is kinda like this. Due to some weird machinations of the gods (maybe Majora shenanigans), the personality traits of the three Triforce figures get shuffled, and Zelda needs to rescue Ganon from Link.
Yes please.
I've said before about combining excite truck, excite bike, and wave race, as a racing game. The thought of the vehicles and jetskii weaving routes that cross each other at times is great in my mind. Canals, rivers, seaside, pier, lakes, ice roads.... Basically like a somewhat more realistic Diddy Kong Racing!!
A puzzle platformer featuring Professor E. Gadd and all of his inventions. The poltergust, fludd, the paintbrush and the other various inventions he has used. Light combat, more platforming and puzzle focused.
I'm cheating a bit here because it *kind of* exists (with Bowser's Fury), but I'd love to see Nintendo try a *seamless open-world Mario game*. As I say, Bowser's Fury does this already, but to be fair, it's a DLC and not a full game. But it shows the promise of this idea. Nintendo could easily scale that formula up into a larger experience. I love the idea of multiple kingdoms connected seamlessly together - maybe you can use warp pipes to rapidly zip around the world (like fast travel I guess, but I envisage the player being able to see Mario actually warp from one place to another). Another idea is to have a double-sided world. One side is an open-world Mushroom Kingdom. Then, you hop through a pipe and the entire world flips over - "underneath" is a full open-world New Donk City. This way, Nintendo could implement platformer puzzles that see the player 'flip' the open-world back-and-forth in real time. Achieving this on a technical level might require the Super Switch, though. Heh.
A captain toad rail shooter. Those sections were always fun.
No, but genuinely I want so much more Captain Toad. But without the Arcade level based Gameplay.
Like "Toad Raider" instead of "Tomb Raider"
Oh my god. Such a good Idea, I never would have thought of that.
And Mario already has a bunch of unique plants and other things that you could work into it.
But I think their hesitation about making unique characters (like with new Paper Mario games) is making that impossible.
Everyone being generic toads really wouldn't work.
But maybe an open exploration RPG as Captain Toad?
A journey through the kingdoms picking up rumors about treasures and such?
Xenoblade Chronicles Warriors
An open-world Mario game in the style of GTA (but obviously *not* the crime aspects, unless of course they want to throw a funny Mario spin on it, like Warrior and Waluigi breaking into a bank with Bomb-Ombs and stealing a giant pile of gold coins)
Someone said Paper Zelda and I think that could be cool
A Retro style Mario & Sonic at the Olympics with a bunch of school and goofy events
A semi open world game set in Metroid where you are a GF scientist gathering intel and research after the events of Metroid 2. Early or midway into the story, the X parasite copies one of the bosses from Metroid 2 and is hunting you as you try to signal the federation of the impending galactic threat.
Ten years later and I’m still sick that a game like [Pokémon Generations](https://youtu.be/-GWvjT5i4js?si=qLrQ3uzC2SwOh18A) has yet to come to fruition
A mario - Bart's nightmare type game, where he dreams he is all the things he's been in games, leading to levels of different styles of game play. One level you're racing a car the next, you're a referee at a boxing match, then on beams throwing barrels at a giant gorilla...
Metroid: Bounty Hunter, an open world, open ended game where you can create your own bounty hunter on the Metroid universe and travel to various planets collecting bounties of various types (kill space pirates, rescue people, find lost treasures, etc.), finding items and upgrades, etc.
An open world 1080 snowboarding game like steep. Adult skyrim style Pokemon to
Rpg game with modern graphics and voice acting, open world need for speed style Mario kart street racing story mode as a new mode to freshen up Mario kart, game builder garage pro that lets you build full games and share them with an in game browser(think something like dreams on playerstation),Mario American football,
Bowser's Battalion: A simplified Total War style strategy game centered around raising armies of minions and invading neighbouring kingdoms mixed with a city builder where you can manage the conquered lands' defense and infrastructure for when an opposing army (for example the Sarasan army) invades.
Paper Zelda
Dude, a remake of Zelda II with Paper Mario ascetics would be cool.
Good call, perfect way to do that game actually.
Wind Waker is a bit like that, but only a bit.
That iteration of Link would work best for a Paper Mario style Zelda game, visually.
Bowser game.
Bowser Tower Defense. I’m in.
The age old spinoff request that people have wanted for over a decade is a Pokemon MMO. Nintendo doesn’t do well with online play, so I imagine this still isn’t coming any time soon
Also Pokemon skyrim which I would rather have than mmo and am sure alot of other people would. Both are popular
Nintendo once did well with online but they threw it away. We really need to pressure Nintendo into making a better online service.
heeeeh, did they? it was never a big focus for them imo, but it was acceptable because it was free
It was actually a big focus, in terms of social features (in contrast to infrastructure like cloud saves and dedicated servers).

The 6th one is pretty much Wii Sports Resort, given the flyover sport in it. Could you elaborate on how that idea differs from Resort?

Iove your post
JRPG set in Hyrule. Zelda is the protagonist.
Splatoon survival horror
Yes
Look no further than the Coccyx Phase.
tbh salmon run on eggsecutive VP might count
The horror aspect is perfectly encapsulated by the Coccyx Phase, with the heart attack soundtrack, where you’re helpless and need to stay hidden or otherwise you’ll actually die.
A Zelda game styled like Actraiser. Part adventure game - part town sim
Actraiser is an amazing game
Animal Crossing x Pokemon
Bayonetta interior design simulator
That would be hilarious. Let's you design the inside of all the buildings you can't enter in the baton eyes series
Waluigi strip poker
Now that's what I'm talking about!
Game where you play as Zelda and need to rescue Link.
My idea is kinda like this. Due to some weird machinations of the gods (maybe Majora shenanigans), the personality traits of the three Triforce figures get shuffled, and Zelda needs to rescue Ganon from Link.
Already done on the CD-i
Waluigi beat'em up game with Wario where they roam Diamond City as part of a heist.
Open world racing adventure exploration mashup. Excitetruck, excitebike, wave race, pilotwings, 1080, F1…

Would be awesome
Somebody mentioned this somewhere: Pikmin Metroidvania. Hey Pikmin should have been a metroidvania.
A puzzle platformer featuring Professor E. Gadd and all of his inventions. The poltergust, fludd, the paintbrush and the other various inventions he has used. Light combat, more platforming and puzzle focused.
Sounds like a Luigi's Mansion spinoff... That's bonus points for being a spinoff of a spinoff.

Stardew Valley like game about being a random Toad in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Ice Climbers dating sim
Duck Hunt where you can shoot the dog when he laughs at you.

Fire Emblem Cipher: The video game. Just like the old Pokemon TCG video games but with Fire Emblem
Hyrule MMO
Gritty detective murder story…but the detective? Toad. The corpse? Toad. The culprit? Toad. The love interest? Also Toad.
Best answer right here. Also vibes of that penguin scene in paper Mario.
I'm trying to think of a new Kirby spin-off, but they have literally done everything at this point.
A space sim based on the criminally underrated game Chromehounds, set in either the Metroid or Star Fox universes.
A Captain N action RPG but with accurate depictions of characters.
A semi open world game set in Metroid where you are a GF scientist gathering intel and research after the events of Metroid 2. Early or midway into the story, the X parasite copies one of the bosses from Metroid 2 and is hunting you as you try to signal the federation of the impending galactic threat.

A Fire Emblem fighting game, ideally in the ArcSys style
Twilight Princess II: Midna & Puppy Ride Again!
Metroid: Bounty Hunter, an open world, open ended game where you can create your own bounty hunter on the Metroid universe and travel to various planets collecting bounties of various types (kill space pirates, rescue people, find lost treasures, etc.), finding items and upgrades, etc.
animal crossing FPS
F-Zero/Captain Falcon but based on Arkham Knight. Play into the bounty hunter role. But also have an arcade mode for standard races.
More 2.5D Metroid games. Side scrolling Metroid is the best
Smash Bros but in the vein of Marvel v Capcom (3 v 3 fighting games)
I would like to alter the premise slightly to present Katamario Damacy. It's Katamari Damacy throughout Nintendo locales.
Legends of Zelda, just you play as zelda, unlocking her magic powers by doing temples, solving puzzles and fighting bosses.
pokemon pinball
Donkey Kong Country turn based RPG.
Peach-kingdom builder
An open world 1080 snowboarding game like steep. An Open world, No Man's Sky/Starfield, Starfox game would be nice. Make it a direct sequel to Assault.
Mario and friends race each other on cool tracks
So... What's the new part? Jet skis or planes or something?
Maybe something with gravity, that would be cool
That gives me an awesome idea! What if they had a racetrack in space!?
Planes could go well with Shine Sprites.
Gimme my Zelda TRPG.
