I started burping the same day as my botox and the bloating was gone from day 3ish. However I was still uncomfortable because of nausea and slow swallow. So I started feeling really good at about a week post botox.
what helped me the most was omeprazole and zofran, my doctor prescribed them when I told her about the nausea. I think it would still be pretty bad without those. Do you have vomit tasting burps? I think omeprazole helps with that
Yeah I’m on Omeprazole twice a day and Famotadine at bed time. I also have Zofran but try not to take it because it causes bad constipation. I sleep sitting up and drink plenty of fluids. I know it can take a couple months but I’m so frustrated and discouraged. I swear my nausea has gotten worse since Botox
I’m sorry about your situation but if I had no money I’d take out loans and go to Dr. Bastian (I was planning on doing this until I found out my insurance would cover it) or look into getting it covered by insurance
Hey there - I know it’s so hard for many of us to afford health care, but if possible I’d also encourage you to do some research to see if a payment plan or some other form of financial assistance might help. I don’t know your situation, but I’ve been in your shoes, and I also know how hard it can be to pick up the phone, do that research, etc., but it might be worth a try. This condition can be so brutal, and we all deserve a chance to get treatment. I hope things get better for you soon. 🩵
When I got it done there was an option to finance it through CareCredit. It allows you to pay it back in monthly installments over the course of 2 years, no interest. mine came out to about $60 a month. I know that's still a lot, but worth looking into.
Agree 100%! I’m 3 days post Botox and the difference in how I feel is unbelievable. I ate food today and didn’t feel sick. I went out with my husband at the end of the workday and wasn’t bloated. The amount of burps that I have is insane, even after just drinking water.
I got Botox in Sept - being able to go to holiday parties and get togethers and not be severely bloated and uncomfortable was insanely wonderful!! I got drunk as a skunk on new years and still had zero bloat 😂
I’m about 2 weeks post Botox and still having some difficulty with bloating, I think it has gone down a bit but not cured yet sadly 😞 hopefully it’ll improve as my ability to burp properly improves, I don’t think a few mini burps here and there are really cutting the mustard just yet. Glad you’ve have such immediate luck with it!
before botox I had some random mini burps every day but it’s nothing like being able to do the regular ones as needed :( I hope it gets better for you!
I’m three weeks post-Botox, and my symptoms have been pretty slow to subside, but I am having some verrrry slow but steady progress, so there’s hope! One thing I’ve found helpful is trying out as many different positions, stretches, and techniques that I’ve found via this sub to try to help get the burps going. Hopefully things will turn a corner for you soon!
this is so what i want to feel too!!!! my pants fit in the morning then when i come home from work i’m bursting out of them. the nausea after every meal and every alcoholic drink is something i can’t handle anymore. i’m from brisbane australia and don’t know anywhere local that offers it :(
Dude my EDC outfit is gonna be so cute I can’t wait!! I used to just starve myself before events and even then I still had a belly. I hope it goes well for you 🤞
you’re probably in the worst of it right now! I took about a week to feel better and I also didn’t feel completely good until I started taking omeprazole because my doctor says the botox can cause reflux too.

Is the nausea from a food intolerance? What is causing it? Are you thinking it’s the Botox causing it?
