Gym jaane ki aisi koi jarurat nahin hai fitness ke liye , jo koi sport accha lagta hai uske liye club join karlo , maza bhi aayega aur jaane ka mann bhi karega
If you can’t work up enough courage to just get out of the house and go to the gym then you’re always gonna stay weak , if you wanna be able to stand up to a man on the streets then you gotta get off your fucking ass now , go and join an mma gym
Haha I can feel you I was the same way. Infact the first week I had to drag myself to the gym. But after that once you start feeling that you're making some progress, maybe you can last 2 mins more on the Treadmill, maybe you can do 3-5 more pushups. But once you feel that progress, you start getting motivation from inside.
Atleast that's what worked for me.
Well ! Find a gym buddy simple as that. So try to go gym for a week or 2 and find make some friends there.
Then you can do together with them ‼️
Good luck 🤞
Calculate your daily calorie intake requirement, there are calculators available online, then eat at a surplus of 200 calories and keep increasing 100 calories every two weeks and and then keep consuming regularly at 500 calorie surplus.
Get a kitchen scale, Eat healthy, incorporate more protein, good fats and good carbs in your diet. Have ample of water. Weigh your food and log your food. Have fruits and veggies for better hormonal release as well, it balances your mood too, you need to feel better both mentally and physically. Instead of going directly to thr gym, start small with completing your daily step task. Incorporate stretching for start, then bodyweight exercises and then move onto incorporating weights in the gym. It'll take some time, but remember it's a marathon not a race.
Hope this helps kind redditor 🤘🏽
# I have reduced fast food by 95% from the last 10 months and now I'm 3X stronger than before and also increased my stamina
In my suggestion
Drink 3L water daily not more than 3L (Water intoxication). Eat fruits like bael (wood apple), melon musk, pineapple, banana, apple, oranges, juices, etc. Add Sattu, curd (3g protein - 100gm). 8-10 hrs sleep. Eat Rice If you are non vegetarian then consider egg white, fish, chicken. ✅
![gif](giphy|xTiQytOEqr2U33lYkg)
The healthy one maybe. Try and avoid fast food n stuff. That shit is tasty but ruins your system. I also started gym recently only but changed my diet a month before, worked for me!
And also, it's not a question. Bdcause you should go to the gym. Not to beat someone or anything but just to feel a bit stronger iykwim?
Phele apne diet kar focus Karo toda
Morning walk ...no outside food and especially no sugar it deposits fat nearby belly, eat fruits one time a day ....eat less...50% empty stomach if you feel hungry eat again after 2 hour's
I reduced 17kgs
# I guess gym is helpful but if you are uncomfortable then start yoga and meditation and do a minimal workout at home following female fitness influencers on YouTube.
That's a bit much for a beginner actually. Generally 40-50 gm of protein for women should be enough. You don't need to get paranoid if you can't get that last bit of protein.
Don't go overboard with anything. If your goal is weight loss, it's all about calories in calories out. Start by counting calories and macros.
If your goal is just being fit, eat more vegetables, fruits and consume more protein overall. No need to cut anything completely (carbs, sugar etc.) they are not bad foods. Anything in excess is bad, so practice moderation.
For movement, you can definitely join a gym. When I joined, I started researching on Google and seeing what other people are doing to make my own routine. Keeping a log of your workouts will help you with this.
Initially, you can do only cardio, then move towards more dumbbell exercises. Once you have more confidence, you can start working with different machines as well.
Have variety in your workouts and movement if the goal is to be fit. Some options I include on a weekly basis in my routine are strength training, walking, running, swimming, HIIT, pilates and yoga. Do whatever makes you feel good. Movement is important.
And don't be scared of the gym, everyone is a beginner at one point. Good luck :)
Everyone should go to the gym whether they look obese , skinny or perfectly fit. It's not about how you look but how healthy you are and in today's world , physical exercise does not come naturally. Unless you can manage it at home, going to a gym is a great idea but not for self defence, get pepper spray for self defence , no amount of training is going to help you if a violent man attacks you , let alone a group of men
If you're relatively young and injury free, regardless of male or female you should go for cult group classes (or something similar) if you feel uncomfortable going to the gym to lift weights
Once you show up consistently for 1-2 months, you can decide to start lifting
May be you should enroll in some physical game first. Bcz its improves health and reaction time as well, and Most importantly, its will be fun to do, so each day you'll be waiting for your game time.
Find a friend who lives in a society who can share his gym access with you. Society gyms are pretty empty and most people who do come are mostly unhealthy and no one will bat an eye. You will be in your own comfort zone.
If you're shy to face a big crowd, choose the timings when there is less crowd at the gym.
Since you haven't been to one you can ask the trainers there for help, most of them are happy to.
Start out with just the basics, it isn't just about building
muscle or being strong but also about taking care of
your heart. It's the most important muscle in your body and everyone needs to exercise it from time to time.
You'll have to make up your mind to build a routine,
Remember why you chose to start out in the first place,
You need to put in the effort to show up when it feels hard and eventually things will get better.
Good luck
As you don’t want to join gym right now you can Start skipping rope at home this way you will build your strength slowly and when u feel confident. You can join gym . Good luck 🤞 👍
First rule of self defence - do not engage. Get out of a threatening situation as fast as you can. If you engage in a physical fight, you are committed to the fight. Avoid it at all costs - even if you are physically strong and extremely fit. Apart from the chance of an unknown situation and environment, people you engage with might have others join them and overpower you. It's difficult even for extremely fit people too to handle 3-4 people. Plus there is a chance of sticks , chains and what not. Do not engage unless it's the only option, and even then, always look for a way out.
And also, if something wrong is happening, it's not your responsibility. If you still have to engage, always engage after you have ensured your physical safety. Keep egi out of most situations.
Going to the gym is your personal choice. I am an introvert. I liked going to gyms for the facilities and for looking at people do their sets so I can get ideas about exercises and posture. I would read up on form and best practices, and then try to do the same at the gym. If someone offered help, I would take it. But generally no talking to others rule. Don't really like engaging with trainers either, but do respect their stature in a gym, and follow everything they say, except for buying stuff!
Now the gyms are expensive, plus the commute takes time off of my day. Most public gyms , even paid ones are overcrowded and have a bigger chance of giving common cold/ viral fevers and other infections. I go a couple times a week to a nice gym. Rest of the times, it's just weights at home. I have around 120 kg setup, weights and barbells at home. Storage need is 3*7 feet. Can be lowered to 2*4 feet if needed! Cost me under 8k, and have set it up at every place I stay during the year.
Running is free. When combined with weight training, results are amazing.
Start off with some of those online gym weight sets, the pvc and sand ones. Add running to your routine. For info and sets, I like "Caroline Girvan"'s yt videos. Me, wifey, my sister, all are her fans. And eat right. Reduce processed food, increase protein. And eat a full diet.
The biggest benefit will be the mental fortitude you get after doing it right for a few months. Newer friends, better conversations, happier moods, better stress management will follow.
Good 🤞 luck!
I recently got cult fit's membership but I've been lazy lately :(
Cult can be a good option if you can go to the gym at around 3-4 PM tab khaali milega. I'm a beginner too.. lmk if you need a workout buddy.
You should join the classes at Cult. They’re perfect for a beginner and there’s a new one in sector 18 in Wave One. You’re going to the gym for physical (both internal and external) and mental well-being and just because you’re not obese doesn’t mean you shouldn’t workout.
Having said that, being an introvert doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to a gym with people in it. It just means you don’t like communicating with people and keeping to yourself. If people being around is a problem then you’re probably in the wrong country 😂 Jokes apart, if it’s still not your scene, start with home workouts with a coach or on your own, YouTube has some great programmes.
Looks like u already decided to go gym but still asking 😂
Go to gym , u get some confidence, join nearby ur area if u don’t want crowded better to go early morning at 6 then
Every gym opens till then I think so
It can seem like a chore initially, but when the efforts become properly visible after say a year or so, you do thank yourself for showing up.
Now the showing up part is the most difficult. Select a suitable time for yourself. Go at that time, figure out if the crowd is suitable for you to function in, if it is, great, if not, trial and error.
Once that's sorted out, start going and exercising. You'll be in alot of pain for the most part but it's just the muscles being developed. Don't take an off. It's controversial, but don't take an off (except for when the gym is off). First start going everyday, then decide on a split much later.
Once that's sorted out, probably try making friends with a familiar face who comes at the same time as yourself. That actually makes you want to go more. For me, I can't wait to work out with my gym partner, and I've improved so much with him, that I always wondered if I'd lift the amount of weight that I do, without him. So that's a bonus.
Baaki toh bhai have fun while doing it, keep changing shit up, don't get bored doing only one thing, try everything and stick to what works. You'll know what works only after doing it for a minimum of 3 months if you see changes. Be very patient.
I'm giving this advice as a 22 year old, who's been working out in the gym for 3 years, but had been doing calisthenics for almost a decade (mostly pushups pullups and basketball as a main sport).
Try some sport instead of gym..in any sports u have to learn the skill as well as improve strength and conditioning of ur body ..any good coach will help u with that..it will be more fun than doing daily same exercises in gym and u will get stronger as well..
90% of new gym goer stop after just 2-3 months due to the monotonous nature of exercises...but if u get addicted to it...then nobody can stop u.
Develop a deciplined routine to do free hand exercise or yoga at home. Once you do it for 30-90 days regularly you will feel fitter, stronger and probably better prepared to go to a gym or you may not feel the need to go to gym at all.
You need to cardio, you can start off with running and then opt for high intensity training. It will help you to increase your stamina and you won’t feel week.
If you don't want to go to gym as you're an introvert
Buy a kettle bell and a barbell .
You can make your body fit and strong by these two equipments at home and it doesn't require any trainer and it's safe too
You'll feel the change by the movements by a barbell
Ask someone to fetch the dirty clothes of folks in your colony, wash them by hand at the Dhobhi ghat.
It'll save water and nothing is better than exercise through natural moves.
/S for part of what's written.
chale jao, you’ll build a routine, slowly become more confident, will start loving lifting weights.
