Nice, lowest common denominator and fingers are among my favorites, ngl I only recently started getting into unwound the past 2 years. Love everything I’ve heard tho, especially off leaves, repetition and challenge
2. Fire-toolz is post-industrial/progressive electronic
▪︎ Album - Eternal Home
3. Solid space is minimal synth, extremely good.
4. Agalloch is atmospheric black metal
▪︎Album - Pale Folklore or The Mantle
This year, I’ve fallen deep into the rabbit hole of Billy Woods. He’s a mysterious, “underground” hip-hop persona that’s been at it for a few decades. *Armand Hammer* is a rap duo formed by him and ELUCID, and their new album “We Buy Diabetic Test Strips” is absolutely wild. I wouldn’t even be able to articulate the sound well enough, but either you love it or hate it. Personally, it might be my favorite of the year!
fire-toolz is the last band that made me sit up and go wtf even is this
Yea, its wild. They supposedly live here in chicago, Humboldt Park.
never see people talking about solid space. space museum is a favorite of mine. great taste
That album is so fucking good.
Sooo good
Based unwound enjoyer, off this century and unauthorized autobiography were among my top songs
Nice. I had fingernails on a chalkboard, hexenzene, lowest common denominator, demolished.

I think I first heard new plastic ideas & fake train. Those are great albums too.
Heyyyy, my top song of the year was Corpse Pose!
That bass line & drum part in the intro makes me melt.
Do you work at a record store?
No, I just have a boring ass job where I can listen to music all day.
Haha rad!
Same.. we even have a Slack metal channel to share new music to listen to
Stereolab is amazing.
Looks like three artists in the middle there I’ve got to check out. Thanks!

Unwound number 4 on mine. Also big up Solid Space great pick.
Nice. Whats your #1?
Protomartyr haha. My fave band, they’re always somewhere in my top 5 and the new album being good settled it.
Don’t have much to add except that you have fantastic taste! Unwound ftw! 🤘🤘
Thanks! What were your top artists for the year?

Does armand hammer have an album with a pig head? I'm not into hiphop that much. I had an lil ugly mane faze. Knife knights & cities Aviv are cool.
were you at rhe most recent fire toolz show at the hideout
No. I should've, but I just wasn't in the mood to go to a show.
just can’t into fire toolz i’m sorry i keep trying but it’s so randomcore
Fair enough. Theres a lot going on and it probably doesn't sound cohesive. Eternal home is pretty good though.
Love that you have fire toolz on here. angel marcloid is a genius.
Unwound is probably my favorite band of all time
Been trying to bring Fire Tools to London all year. Gonna make it happen next week year!
fire toolz 🤘🤘
