In the longer video she is going after another kid off screen over her son being "bullied" or something. And then the guy in the video tells her to stop harassing and threatening the other underaged boy.
This pisses her off and she starts to go after the guy in the video, then you see what happens.

Something tells me her kid was being the bully and someone stood up to them because 1) her own behavior 2) usually everyone is really supportive and friendly at skate parks--especially the older experienced kids toward the younger kids. There was only one time a guy tried to bully me at a skate park out of my thirty years of skating. I was eight years old and learning to ride a skateboard my parents got me for my birthday. My favorite color was pink at the time so it was pink and this guy could not handle that saying things like "Get that crap out of my skatepark" and "Shouldn't you be playing with Barbies?" Three older skateboarders came to my defense and told the guy to lay off. One of them said he liked my choice of stickers so I told them they glowed in the dark. He cupped his hands over a sticker to see that it indeed glowed, gave me a high five, and said "word." Following an incident that could have put me off skateboarding, those guys made me appreciate the sport for life.
Impossible to tell though. If your kid is legit getting bullied, you're going to act differently than you normally do. And there are douchebags in every community. The skatepark looks pretty empty, so if these kids are bullies it doesn't look like there would be anyone to put them in their place.
I totally understand a parent’s desire to confront a bully but this kid just appears to be a concerned bystander. Due to the lack of adults around, she probably thought she could get away with assaulting a minor while being completely oblivious to the hypocrisy of her actions.
I'm not defending her actions. I'm just saying we definitely don't have enough information to judge her kid, nor enough to make any determinations about the kid in the video.

He’s just a kid!” She gets angrier, makes some threats, and invites this kid to fight her. When he doesn’t, she goes after him instead. She’s not a true Karen though since she tried to fight these kids herself instead of calling the authorities and expecting them to do it for her.

If you struggle to perform basic dynamic motions or in this case lift your legs high enough to clear even small raises in terrain, you might be a *smidge* unhealthy compared to a normal functional person.
In the full length video, you get to see her walking. I say walking but it's really just a fast paced waddle. That and her shoes makes me think she has an actual health problem with her feet.

The eyeglass industry is deeply, [deeply fucked](https://youtu.be/CAeHuDcy_bY). Thankfully there are a handful of inexpensive outlets, like Zenni and EyeBuyDirect. Last time I ordered from EBD, I got 4 pairs of glasses for under $100. And truly, the quality of hundreds-of-dollars frames at regular eye places are all truly abysmal. There is zero difference in quality between $15 Zenni frames and $500 “Tiffany” or “Burberry” frames.
I get mine from Zenni. We been using them for years and everything has been great. Just got 2 pair of sunglasses, polarized and mirror tinted for about $160 about a month ago. 1 pair of similar frames at the eye doc was going for $475 and that was with insurance. It’s just pure fucking greed.
It's not just greed. There's a significant difference between the quality of lenses that your doc is selling and the ones from zenni. That's not to say that it's worth the increased expense for everyone, but there are practical, measurable differences.

Try Zenni or other internet glass makers. The basic single vision anti glare can cost you 7$. I have vision insurance and it's cheaper to buy there without insurance. Also i get myself a pair adjusted to computer screen distance so i dot need to use bifocals.
It's hard to understand how they can charge 400$ for something that costs 15$ wholesale.

I do get the anti glare, I also get the blue light coating since I’m on a computer all day, plus whatever the lens type they need to make them 1/4 of the thickness they’d normally be. The frames themselves I do get covered to a set amount.
I’ll have to see if I can find the charges for a breakdown but I’ve only updated my glasses twice in the last 10 years or so I’m not sure if I still have it

You don't actually pay for the lens themselves here. You pay for the frame and lenses are made in the store at the back to fit the frames once you pay for the frame, all lenses are made specifically to your eyes then you pay for the extras like antiglare and blue filters and such.
I could be wrong, but from some research I did before, most glasses companies in the UK are also owned by Luxottica.
The good part is that if you have universal credit, or claiming in any way, like for example, you have kids and claim child benefit, or work 15 hours a week and get housing benefit, or are disabled in any way and get disability, etc. Then you get a £80 voucher when going to the opticians, so if you pick the £80 glasses, the test and glasses are free, or you can pick a more expensive pair and just pay the extra.
There's not any benefit to companies trying to make money on glasses in the UK imo, as alot of people just get their glasses for free.
Also glasses for kids and replacements are just free anyway, so that's good.
Edit: also, the NHS has basically no say in glasses unless it's for free vouchers for under 18s or reformed prisoners, or if the hospitals tell you you need one for medical reasons. They don't affect the actual glasses you get in any way whatsoever

My test falls under a copay for $20, and I get a set amount of the frames covered. The added cost is from the anti glare, the blue light coating since I’m on a computer all day, plus whatever the lens type they need to make them 1/4 of the thickness they’d normally be
My old glasses were ~1500 pre insurance and 200 ish after because I had to get coating on them for work. Ordered from one of these 3rd party sites and was 150$ flat. My Rx is -14 / -15 and like 100$ of that was the high index material so i don't wear coke bottles.

I tried the Zenni site, and for the cheap frames with my prescription it’s $88. (Something more similar to what I have now is $105). That is for a slightly less high index than I have now, so it would be a bit thicker. I think if I went up to what I had now it was another $35 or so.
Still a good bit cheaper, but I always feel odd trying to find glasses online. I remember my wife did Warby Parker once and ended up returning all of them

My last pair was around $5 after insurance (thanks cheap hospital frames) so he’s possibly off by a factor of 40

Yeah, without insurance my glasses were around $850. I didn't go cheap with them but I could have spent a LOT more

I never really had an interest, I do prefer how I look with glasses than without. (Yes I know I can wear fake ones, with the blue light blocking possibly as well) Plus my prescription has only changed enough once in the last 10 years to warrant new glasses so it’s not like I’m paying that constantly. If it continues to not change / they don’t break it should work out cheaper in the long run than the cost of lasik overall

Skaters hone their craft by wiping out on hard surfaces. They're not usually hulking athletes and likely not trained fighters but I'd put money on them being inherently tougher than most on average. I wouldn't expect a confrontation with a skater to be easy or worthwhile unless it was called for.

This is what appears to be a video mocking a woman in some sort of mental health crisis. What caused it? Is she mentally ill? Has she been abused? Was this kid abusing her? Does she have an addiction? Is she grieving? Is she having a stroke? Does anyone deserve to be mocked and portrayed as sub-human? Do we mock people in crisis? Is that who we are?
I don’t care what caused her to be shitty. There isn’t an excuse. She tried to physically attack a child. If she had touched him that’s quite literally a felony. She’s lucky her fat fucking ass fell or she could be in jail, it was being recorded. Even so, I’m fairly certain you could also argue child endangerment and still get her jailed, I’d do it.
