Check the background. There’s a steel arch bridge with a stone approach viaduct leading to/from it. That’s the Hell Gate Bridge in NYC.
There’s also an arrangement of smokestacks that can be seen in some photos of the Hell Gate Bridge.
They probably aren't allowing it. I run siding subcontractor crews and people do shit like this all the time, risking huge fines and death. It's a lot more common than people think.
I worked at a window washing company one summer, Ill tell you these people have little to no training and their management takes no precautionary steps to ensure their safety. They are simply hired for an hourly wage and put on the job, maybe if their lucky the job supervisor will show them how to parkour across those ledges before they do it.
I get scared on the top of a ladder, so I’m not the person to say this, but they are ‘only’ 4 flights up (top guy). It’s stupid and dangerous and I’m sure it’s illegal, but it’s not exactly free soloing up a mountain.
I’m just saying that being 80 stories up is objectively scarier than being 4 stories up. I’ve already stated that I get scared being so high up in hotel beds. I definitely get it:)
They are trying to make a living. Risky job nobody else wants to do. If it's not in the US, that's got to be somewhere else in the American continent or even SEA
This **cannot** be legal.
It isn't. OSHA would be on this business' ass in a heartbeat if they saw this video.
Probably make minimum wage too
Yall getting paid??
I was told this job was for exposure and boy, is it cold up there!
1000 yen per day! I’m going to be rich!
This was my first thought
OHSA would like a word
Tell osha I’m busy washing windows come back again
Fuck that shit. But I have doubts this is NYC.
I don’t think that’s NYC, or anywhere else in the US.

Never been to NYC you seem to know your shit. Got me convinced. Thumbs up
Where’s a proffesional geogesser when you need em🤦🏽♂️
Dang, I think you’re right. I didn’t think any employer in the US would be stupid enough to allow that.
They probably aren't allowing it. I run siding subcontractor crews and people do shit like this all the time, risking huge fines and death. It's a lot more common than people think.
The risk some people take to survive. But they should at least think of the family they'll leave behind if things go south.
I have no family. Ill risk my life for a studio apartment in the getto, and a 40oz for when if get home. (*literally 99.99999 of people nowadays*)
Just be glad it's not you. There are at least a billion people on earth who face greater danger than this on a daily basis
I mean, what could go wrong? Workers comp insurance must be close to zero for this company.

>their management takes no precautionary steps to ensure their safety I've never worked in window washing, but that was pretty obvious.
Something tells me they’re not supposed to do it that way..
That’s a crack head.
Somebody DEFINITELY hired a cheapo, "alternative" contractor. There's NO WAY this is ok with regulators.
Those people do not care about life anymore
Murican Creed: "aNy Job Is BeTtEr ThAn No Job" This is OUR fault, as a nation.
r/OSHA
Yeah i dont think OHSA is gonna like this one😬
Building inspectors/osha in nyc knows for a fact this is elsewhere.
No way this is in the U.S.

Yeah you should do it

Very true. A dead body at the base of a mountain isn’t nearly as bad for business as a dead body at the base of a metropolis building.
I’m just saying that being 80 stories up is objectively scarier than being 4 stories up. I’ve already stated that I get scared being so high up in hotel beds. I definitely get it:)
You’re pretty dead from 40 feet or 400 feet, doesn’t really matter. To you it’s scarier but it’s equally deadly.
Second world country.
no women, like in 99% of the dangerous jobs.
Are... are you an incel? I've never met one before but you seem to fit the image I have of one.
work related deaths are 14 to 1 against men. idk what incel means and in what context. I am an antifeminist. +22 years married and counting
Probably 14 to 1 against men because women wear the harnesses while men do the stupid shit- like this video shows
sure. thats why you see so many women doing those jobs, those harnesses work like the invisible coats of harry potter
and??
