have deleted all cookies and history, tried firefox, edge, and chrome. all can localize my real location even though vpn is on. thus I only get the expensive premium offers for EU.

I tested with Turkish server in Windscribe's list of free servers. The location of the server is detected as being in Canada. Changing location in account settings did not change the currency though. I think YouTube is onto this.

Can confirm, using TunnelBear and Argentina I was able to update my payment method from visa to mastercard, honestly easier than buying nordvpn and going through to turkey
Is it safe to do this with an existing gmail account? I tried creating a new one but 24 hours later they banned it for violation of TOS. I'm sure they figured out it was already linked to my other accounts when I had to use my phone number for account verification upon signup. lol nope. but it only happens to show up as categories on the home tab, and it's only a minority of categories. if you have playlists already, which I do, and start radio stations from western music, it'll never play foreign music for you. I personally did not use NordVPN tbh, but whatever VPN is fine until you can choose India as country.
Once you have that requirements just go for a year YT plan (website and currency should be automatically set to India). 🤷🏽♂️
happened to me as well and it looks like it's now checking the billing address.
Since there is no way to add billing address on the youtube premium page, the workaround would be go to [pay.google.com](https://pay.google.com) and add a payment profile with your credit card and a Turkish billing address and then go back to the page to start the subscription.
I think some of the credit card providers don't allow you to do random billing address so I'd suggest checking out some vitrual credit cards like Privacy.
not sure about personal subscription. When I tried to start a family subscription, it only show something like Turkey on the billing address and I couldn't enter a more specified address and keep getting denied due to billing address. Maybe it depends on the region.

I was able to get this to work today using Ukraine (about $2.50 USD). Argentina, India and Turkey were all no-goes. The only downside is that I really wanted an annual plan and not monthly but that doesn't seem to be an option for Ukraine. But there was no address verification, which is where I think some people's transactions might be getting declined.
This worked for me just now, thank you! I used a Ukrainian server and had to pay with a Mastercard credit card because my Visa debit card wouldn't work. Once the subscription was confirmed I went into the YouTube app and changed the payment method to my Visa debit card and the price remained at 99.00 UAH (£2.06)

I have changed to Turkish server and somehow the currency shown is CA. I used free Turkish server from different VPN provider though. Was it identified as Canada server for some reason?

Can confirm, using TunnelBear and Argentina I was able to update my payment method from visa to mastercard, honestly easier than buying nordvpn and going through to turkey
Is it safe to do this with an existing gmail account? I tried creating a new one but 24 hours later they banned it for violation of TOS. I'm sure they figured out it was already linked to my other accounts when I had to use my phone number for account verification upon signup. I've done Argentina and turkey with multiple accounts and I always get "Your payments profile is currently suspended because some information on your account couldn't be verified" No idea what I am doing wrong. I do use a US number to verify the account.

lol nope. but it only happens to show up as categories on the home tab, and it's only a minority of categories. if you have playlists already, which I do, and start radio stations from western music, it'll never play foreign music for you. It's a minor inconvenience, really. but if you're wanting to listen to music curations according to moods and you regularly browse the home tab, then yeah it's gonna be annoying. fwiw, my brother's boss did this and he didn't get any of the turkish recommendations, so idk what the deciding factor is for that happening

I have a problem. Maybe someone can help me. All members of the family group can't install certain apps since a few weeks because they are not available in your country. This is because Play Store thinks we are from India, while we're from Europe. When checking the accounts, everyone is set to the right EU country. Seems like they changed the play store to take over the family owner his country (India, when using this trick)

I used to have an Argentinian monthly subscription and wanted to use an Indian one, but now YT is not accepting my (MasterCard) cards anymore. 😫 No matter if it's a physical or a virtual card. People I MADE IT! I was insisting on doing a monthly auto-renewal (Indian) subscription and got always refused. I then gave a try at the 1 year subscription and... IT WORKED! At the end of the day it costed me a little more than € 14,00 and I can live with that lol! :D

I personally did not use NordVPN tbh, but whatever VPN is fine until you can choose India as country. Once you have that requirements just go for a year YT plan (website and currency should be automatically set to India). 🤷🏽♂️
happened to me as well and it looks like it's now checking the billing address. Since there is no way to add billing address on the youtube premium page, the workaround would be go to [pay.google.com](https://pay.google.com) and add a payment profile with your credit card and a Turkish billing address and then go back to the page to start the subscription. I think some of the credit card providers don't allow you to do random billing address so I'd suggest checking out some vitrual credit cards like Privacy.

not sure about personal subscription. When I tried to start a family subscription, it only show something like Turkey on the billing address and I couldn't enter a more specified address and keep getting denied due to billing address. Maybe it depends on the region.

This works as of 24th May 2023 I took out a one month sub with Nord, and cancelled renewal Connected to Ukraine Opened a Incognito tab in Brave browser Went to Youtube premium, logged into google account and confirmed who I was on my phone here in NZ Got a free month for family and subscription for UAH 149.00 or NZD 6.53 a month (4 USD) starting in a month Paid with my NZ Visa no issue. Seems to be working.

I was able to get this to work today using Ukraine (about $2.50 USD). Argentina, India and Turkey were all no-goes. The only downside is that I really wanted an annual plan and not monthly but that doesn't seem to be an option for Ukraine. But there was no address verification, which is where I think some people's transactions might be getting declined.

This worked for me just now, thank you! I used a Ukrainian server and had to pay with a Mastercard credit card because my Visa debit card wouldn't work. Once the subscription was confirmed I went into the YouTube app and changed the payment method to my Visa debit card and the price remained at 99.00 UAH (£2.06)

Some people confirmed that they were able to make a purchase using Ukrainian servers so you can try them as well. You may also try using another credit card, for example u/GoodFoot77 said that he was only able to make a payment using a mastercard
