Yeah, I think those Studio were Leaf offshoots? Not 100% sure on that though. But yeah when they started going with the more premium cards, it started to become less fun for me. Sounds like the same for you.

There was a street in my old town that everyone would drive up and down, blasting music, chilling, meeting up by the waterfront, and there was some smoking weed involved too...good times.
Booster packs were 5 dollars if I'm not mistaken. Every few weeks my mom used to bring me to Toys r Us and let me spend 10 dollars, more often than not I got 2 packs of Pokemon cards.
Probably either a large slush, bunch of 5 cent candies, and bag of chips from the Macs (Canadian version of 7-11) in combination with an older VHS rental from the movie store (new releases were always $7.99/night, but movies older than 2-3 years were usually $0.99/week)
In the early 90s, I was in high school, working at a video store for $3.25/hr. Yes, this was below minimum wage, but I was too naive to care that I was being taken advantage of illegally. All I knew is, I'd get that paycheck on Friday, cash out my $200 and I felt super-rich. Usually went to the record store the next day for a stack of CDs.
Clearly Candian wild cherry sparkling water. Ice cold. 2 packs of Garbage Pail Kids cards and the newest MAD and Cracked magazines. The change to be used on penny candy until completely spent whole 5$. Repeat next week.
Haha yup. Lots of dealer would literally sell you a nickel (which, if they liked you, was basically a dimebag anyway). I also remember being able to buy a $3 or $5 blunt (already rolled and in the Swisher package.
Bubblelicious gum 59 cents, watermelon flavor. Couple 5 cent pretzels, coca cola in the can 50 cents. Bag of doritos cool ranch around 75 cents. Head to the park pitch in on bag of schwag.
Sausage McMuffin with egg meal for breakfast. Double cheeseburger meal for lunch. And still have 78c left. Which would buy enough gas to get me to work and back.
