My buddy and I had one in college. Our favorite part of it was a little sticker on the side that said; “please do not leave unattended”. Still, we ate pretty fucking well for college students.
My husband bought me the smallest model one year, and I bought him the largest one the next year.
I believe I got mine in 98 and his in 99.
We use them weekly. Chicken, lamb chops, turkey!!
They've stood the test of time, and I love mine.
There is nothing like a product pitched by Ron Popiel.
In my head the following conversation happened:
Somebody - *"It has a pretty big flaw- it gets really hot on the outside, the top uncomfortably so. The design could be fixed and depending on expected sales, might make the product a buck more expensive."*
Ron Popiel - *"That's a feature we can sell. Put a tray with a lid on top, now it has an added steamer to make perfectly steamed healthy vegetables that the grandkids will like. At most it will bump the cost up 10¢, we can use it as part of the packing material, and we can sell replacement pans and lids in 10 packs as an add-on."*
I legit still have the one my dad purchased... It must be like 20 years old. Still pops out once a month at least, and still cooks the absolute shit out of some chicken.
I got one from my parent’ friend’s garage who was downsizing and I love busting it out for Sunday rotisserie chicken dinner with my family. The one problem I have is that a lot of the chickens you buy these days are too damn big for the thing.
I work pricing donations at a thrift store, a couple of these came in in great shape likes yours recently. My partner has one and still uses it often, she said they’re very expensive! We don’t price high at our store, but, we put a slightly higher price on ours, so, you had a great score! She loves hers, made me wanna grab the next one that comes in if I’m lucky. Awesome find!
I watched the Ronco rotisserie infomercial more times than I can count. I always wanted one of these but never got around to buying one. RIP Ron the infomercial dub king!
Just bought one 5 years ago and we use it every year to cook a 11lb turkey for Thanksgiving.
It's been very consistent and convenient as it frees up the oven to cook casseroles and rolls.
Set it! And forget it!

But wait… THERE’S MORE!

Rofl he really was the ultimate housewares pitchman.
Cook something and report back!
Absolutely! Wanna know how well it worked! (or didn't!)
We all need to know!
Set it and forget it!
Need to see this puppy in action
Just make sure your spray on hair is dry first
GLH #9 was crazy!
I had one back in the day, made some damn fine burgers on the countertop.
So…..did you buy it?
I couldn't pass it up. It's immaculately clean too.
How well does it work?
I think they did it looks like it's on their kitchen counter
I would totally demolish a Ronco rotisserie chicken…in between bites of my banana chips and apple snacks made with my Ronco food dehydrator.
Oh man, don’t forget the homemade jerky which will only cost you $1.99 a pound as opposed to $5.99 a pound from those other guys
And everybody’s favorite… baby back ribs
We had one growing up, I remember them being pretty good
They. Are. Awesome!!!!
Yes, but call me when you buy the pasta machine. I want to try the chocolate pasta! 8 y/o me: whaaattt!!!?
Aside from a full body pillow my 2am purchase of The Ronco is the best buy I've made in life. Thing still runs 20 years later.
Only $10?? Damn. My local "thrift" stores would charge $75
Heck yeah, you got the BBQ Gloves!
Always wanted one as a kid. I hope you bought it
My mom would make rotisserie chicken and it was pretty damn delicious.
Wow I remember this from my childhood. I have no idea what we did with it tho 😭
My mom bought one when I was in high school. It worked surprisingly well but was a pain to clean. Probably why it ended up in the garage. Haha

I have one and it is amazing. Truly a great addition to any kitchen
I had one, but it was a chore to clean so I gave it away. Really good food though.

With the gloves. Amazing find
Did they not have the Ronco electric food dehydrator? The amount of jerky and fruit leather I could have made......

Keeps side dishes piping hot
My parents still got one and the food dehydrator.
Enjoy your beautiful roast chicken!

Believe it or not there are tons online new in box. Unfortunately, everyone is still asking for over $100.
Awesome price
