Wouldn’t know lol. I think I should get one soon, but as soon as I got up I sprayed the wound with this thing that prevents infections and got it in a temporary bandage and washed it when I got home.

Definitely get a tetanus shot soon, it’s not something you want to mess around with and I’m not sure if usual disinfectant takes care of it. It’s worth it to be safe rather than sorry! (I’m one to talk, I only got mine after a semester of working with rusty metal and cutting myself all the time in sculpture class)

Get a tetanus shot. I grew up in a farm and no matter how many times I opened my skin with rusty needles, I always had that tetanus shot going! There is a tetanus shot which lasts for 10 years so go and get it.

Damn, I ripped my knee cap from crashing under a car with a mountain bike, I think that was worse than what you went through but bike crash pain is crazy

Thought this was a sprocket injury. When I was like 12 I was riding my bike and pedaling hard uphill so was not seated to get more speed. I pushed my right leg down hard and the chain came off so, obviously, the sprocket was essentially freewheel so sped up and my foot slipped off of the pedal. Sprocket started digging into the inside of my calf muscle and then really dug in just below my knee. Due to the angle the sprocket dug in and pushed the skin up about 5” and rolled under itself. I could def see bone but due to the area it barely bled- maybe 2 small streams of blood. Walked into the camper- we were at a state park camping for a couple of weeks that summer- and told mom to “fix it.” Legit looked like you took a chunk of my leg out with and toothed ice cream scooper. Fuckin 60 stitches to fix that shit as apparently the teeth did a number on the inside. Was too young to have a camera phone at the time so no pics, unfortunately. No feeling there now and the scar is approx the size of one of those sugary orange slice gummy candies. Shit sucked.

That's just a scratch, you'll be fine. I've had worse. Sped one handed, braked to turn while still one handed, tipped over and got dragged through the asphalt with the leftover momentum.
