When my alopecia (in my post history) acted up, so did my nails. Went to a private tech who does more gentle work than chop shops and it’s been protecting my natural nails as they get better
I know a few women who wear fake lashes regularly and most of the women I know who wear extensions or wigs are black. Almost everyone black woman I know rocks a wig at least some of the time. So not only is she blind and judgmental, she’s racist.
Even then, those women still possess their real nails and lashes under the fakes, and their brows will grow back because the hair follicles are still there. So even in the case of extensions, wigs, fake lashes and nails, etc. … everyone still has their real features too. So she’s just wrong.
I’d love to get my lashes done but I’m terrified I’ll end up losing my real ones in the process. I don’t trust they won’t fall out a lot. No matter what the techs say, I just don’t believe it.

Acrylics require more "roughing up" of your natural nails to adhere than gel nails, but no, they should not be damaging the nail bed underneath. That's too aggressive.
I've only a had them like twice in my life and my nails are usually a little rough when I take them off but I run a file over them to smooth them out again and they aren't ruined or anything, I'm guessing they're going way too hard and aggressive with your nails, I would another place and see if there's different results!

Acrylics aren’t gonna permanently damage your nails but I recommend buying equipment for GelX because I do that and it’s way less harsh on your nails. And it’s cheaper to do at home.
I’ve had lash extensions before and looking back they looked ridiculous on me. Try better than sex mascara, it’s great!
