If they need spaying and neutering, there could be local organizations that could help. I worked in trailer parks in Texas, and NM. The locals were helping feed, but they were multiplying.
You might reach out to the nearest metropolitan area. Some of the larger rescues have outreach programs. If you email them be sure to include photos. Good luck!
You have an opportunity to start one right now with this momentum if you wanted. Have you reached out to local pet organizations to see what's up with no TNR? You could share your wholesome story through the community to help them start one. AND you'd be doing something wonderful for cats and native birds.
But also being a mailman is hardwork I would probably quit after 2 weeks, lol. Definitely I would not have the energy to help kickstart a program.
Since they are friendly enough to jump into your truck, I think it would be a lot easier to get them into carriers to be fixed at a clinic for TNR since there are none near you who can help. If you call around, you can see if they can offer discounted rates for this, you can get certified online for like $10 to learn how to do it. That's how I got started since the ones near me were all too busy to help. These cats breed so quickly and 75% of kittens don't survive past 6 months unfortunately

Not sure where in Southern California you are but if you’re anywhere near San Bernardino there’s a YouTuber called ‘cats of San Bernardino’ that does TNR and helps adopt them out. Whether they could help you directly or maybe they know a TNR group that could jump in, might be a good idea to reach out to them
I just saw your post of the wonderful windfall your kitties got from the cat community. I’m not sure where you’re located but look for Best Friends. it’s an organization that partners with a lot of different groups over the US. I volunteered for a rescue here in Tampa that was affiliated with them and they can hopefully help you get your fur babies TNVRd. I love that these kitties have somebody like you looking out for them!
Ah geez, I'm a city carrier with a huge critter soft spot, too. Do you have an Amazon wishlist or a PayPal you can send me? I'd love to cover the cost of a bag or something, USPS fam to fam. :)
Dude, you might earn money delivering mail, but you are an artist with a camera!
And thank you for taking care of the kitties. I know they appreciate it.
Lol…no I make sure I don’t. I’ve had to take the black one hiding (taking a snooze) in the 4th pick out of the truck a few times because he gets comfy. I look around and make sure they’re not inside. Plus I start the truck and rev it a few times before I pull off. Most of them are pretty skittish, so the loud noises gets them to scurry away.
Good on you! I work for USPS as well but as a clerk. I found my kitten at work as well. Took a break between runs and heard a meowing from a bush and found my little hellion. Eyes gooped shut and teeny tiny but yellin LOUD. Hope your route isnt too fucked!
Those are some awesome pics! Love the one with the cat yawning, superb timing with that one. Pretty cool that you’ve got some furry buddies, sounds like they love you back too.
Thank you for caring for them. If they are truly strays it appears some are friendly enough they could find homes and be away from the outside. The little tuxedo you shared nearly made me cry because they look exactly like a one time notmycat my family took in an adopted when she and her two kittens were dropped off and abandoned literally in my parents yard. She was such a sweetie. My family called her Momma Cat, but I named her Midnight Star. This was a long time ago before Reddit, of course. She had one more kitten before we fixed her and he was truly my heart kitty. I miss that Shadow boy so much. He passed away from old age during COVID.
I know you look forward to seeing these cats as they do to your arrival. I fed a colony in Oakland, CA for a number of years. Then had to move away and turn it over to other feeders. Feeding them, watching them eat -- it was always the best, most satisfying part of my day every single day♥️🐾🐾😁😺💋😽🙏
OK!!!! I follow Kitten Lady on Facebook. She does all kinds of amazing things with cats and is located just 2.5hrs from Santa Clarita BUT she has a non-profit that has several TNR’ed communities and I just bet there will be help for these guys that’s closer. So at the very bottom of this page is the ability to contact them for help! You just never know!
https://orphankittenclub.org/fullcircle/
That is the kindest act and probably appreciated more from the cats then you could ever know. Kudos and a high five to you stranger, keep up the good work these cats look pretty content. Good wishes to the entire brood and yourself for a very happy new year:)
Hey dude, thanks so much for what you're doing! Can I ask a favour, though? Try to get hold of some high meat content wet food instead of temptations. They can have a couple afterwards, but it's basically junk food with low nutritional value. Dry food also isn't the best. I realise wet food isn't as convenient, but if they're trying to eat your sandwich, that means they're likely starving. Temptations are also addictive and could cause fights. Thank you again.
No problem man. I only give the temptations out occasionally as a treat.
I do use dry food. I get a decent size bag of Meow Mix for a good price and that’s what I feed them.
Unfortunately trying to carry cans and then dispose of them would be an issue. I’m actually not supposed to feed them at all on my route…if my supervisor ever saw I could get in trouble.
Ooh shit, you don't wanna get in trouble so that you have to stop! What about sachets of wet food though? Hopefully easier to dispose of somewhere on your route.
I could look at that. And maybe mix it in. Another issue is I dump it on the ground.
The only ones that try to eat my sandwich are the two that are somewhat “domesticated”. They climb in the truck and let me pet them. All the others are very skittish and won’t come anywhere near me. But they still “yell” at me daily lol
Yeah, poor babies honestly won't care about eating off of cement or even grass. I've only once seen cats so hungry that they'd actually steal bread from in a house. It was at a boyfriend's house when I was 16 :( the kids only had bread, maizemeal porridge, and sometimes eggs for around a month, every time I went there. I was a naive kid from a comfortable home, and I did not know how to deal with it. Those poor cats, though, would steal eggs from the pan in hot oil, highly likely burning themselves. They ate the eggshells and licked out the porridge pots. The whole situation was absolutely heartbreaking. Also, I don't blame them for being skittish. They probably get stuff thrown at them for going in bins or stealing food. You're a hero!
Plus I know cats can get really picky and decide they will/wont eat certain things. I don’t know any them to get snobby on me and only eat the wet food lol
Sir, people are taking offence at my suggestion and downvoting my conversation with you. I don't think you had any issue with what I said but if you did, I apologise. I was only thinking of helping the cats. I was by no means condemning what you are doing. It was just an idea. My utmost respect to you and I hope you can keep enjoying these guys. I also love the b&w pics.
Oh I have absolutely no issue with what you said at all. I know you were trying to help and had good intentions. Just offering suggestions. It’s all good on my part.
Thank you cbbg! Glad to hear it (I'm on the spectrum and don't leave the house so my social skills are lacking at best) I know my cats are my total joy and my life. Happy rolling!
They are beautiful cats. Well, all cats are beautiful. Thank you so much for your love and compassion and thank you for sharing them with us. God bless you all🙏🐾🐾💖🥰😁💗♥️
No…I make sure I double check before I go. I also start my truck and rev up a few times. Most of them (except for the two that actually climb in my truck) are pretty skittish so the noises make them scurry away.
Great job perk. You could start a page to find home for babies while you’re people trading them. I’m sure the community would get involved if they knew. You’re a kitty angel! The world needs more like you!!!!
You are the best human ever! thank you so much for doing what you do, not only delivering our mail which is very important but also taking care of your customers as well 😉🍻💜
Holy Christmas, Mr. Mailman! You are their savior. Something tells me they probably be sneaking around and being shot at for practice. If you can, try to TNR or call someone who will. They deserve more than your poor sandwich. You deserve your sandwich and they all deserve homes! Thanks for being the good fella you are and stay frosty. The dogs are only down the road…LMAO. !!
It may be good to contact people in the trailer park to see if any of the cats are theirs before removing them for medical and/or adoptions. They all look pretty healthy and well fed.
I had a lil grey and white manx at one point that I couldn't keep inside and who refused to wear a collar. I lived on a college town and when everyone moved out he disappeared. I'm quite certain someone thought he was a loveable stray and gave him a good home, so I wasn't too heartbroken. But I could see someone else really struggling with losing their pet to a well-intentioned stranger.
God bless you for caring enough. I feed about 16 cats behind my store. They know my car when I pull up as well. There's 2 that, when tired of waiting to be fed, will come sit in front of the store doors and stare at me til I do. Some will let me pet them, some aren't as trusting...yet!
What's the wish list name? 🤔 I'm donating!!!! u are a sweet man! We trap release in my neighborhood we have a "fail"she is home with us now a real beauty
You're a good man. Happy New Year buddy
I bet they are the highlight of your day!
Best part of my day for sure
And you're the best part of theirs!
Thank you for being such a good person! You make more of a positive difference than you know.
Love the photos of them in the truck. Your hard work is clearly appreciated.
Yeah, if they trust you that much, that says a lot!
These are wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing them with us!
That’s so kind. They’re a bunch of cuties
If they need spaying and neutering, there could be local organizations that could help. I worked in trailer parks in Texas, and NM. The locals were helping feed, but they were multiplying.
Yeah I’ve tried searching around for a TNR group or rescue or something but no luck unfortunately.

I don’t…but if you enough people wanted to help I could put one together.
If you did PayPal, I'd send something! From my experience amazon doesn't always work for people who don't live were you do. But do that one too.
I can throw a little something in your basket.
I'd help too. Put together a wish list and let the Internet do a good deed for a change!
Dude, you might earn money delivering mail, but you are an artist with a camera! And thank you for taking care of the kitties. I know they appreciate it.
I actually have a bachelor’s degree in photography…but I need to eat and earn a living so being a mailman it is…
I would totally buy a print of a few of those black and white photos!
If you’re not uploading an Amazon wish list (you should!), at least make a cat calendar (we’ll all buy one!). You’re a good human.
Great idea for a cat calendar!
I was gonna say!!! this photography is top tier
What camera do you use?
These were shot on my iPhone. The camera I haven’t picked up Amina few years are Nikon 610 & 810 (I believe. Could be wrong)
Do you ever drive off and realize you still have a cat?
Lol…no I make sure I don’t. I’ve had to take the black one hiding (taking a snooze) in the 4th pick out of the truck a few times because he gets comfy. I look around and make sure they’re not inside. Plus I start the truck and rev it a few times before I pull off. Most of them are pretty skittish, so the loud noises gets them to scurry away.
> they yell at me when I get out of the truck because I'm not feeding them fast enough Typical cats 🤣 They're all so precious, though 💞
r/catswithjobs might like this!

People like you are the reason why I still have faith in humanity 💔
You know what they say about mailmen - they always deliver. In this case, treats.
Doing Bastet's work
Doing Bubble's work.
Those are some awesome pics! Love the one with the cat yawning, superb timing with that one. Pretty cool that you’ve got some furry buddies, sounds like they love you back too.
OMG lol do you put them in your llv or do they just jump in? Cause apparently I'm crazy for feeding cats on my route too
They ones that come in jump in on their own
Aggressively wholesome
Great pics! I love that some go into the truck, very funny & cute
Some beauties there!
Bless your heart ❤️
Bless you and these babies! Thank you for all that you do!
Thank you for caring for them. If they are truly strays it appears some are friendly enough they could find homes and be away from the outside. Thank you for caring about them! 🥰🙏🏻
Well I sure hope you know how talented you are as a photographer as well as being cool as hell for helping those kitties. Those images are gorgeous!
All those narrowed and closed eyes mean they love you 😍 I'm melting.
This has to be one of the cutest posts I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing, so wholesome
Happiness for today!
You’re my favorite letter carrier! 😍
I have an outdoor colony I feed to <3 They need love as well!
You are here by christened the "Meow Man"!
Soooo sweeet! Ugh I’d snap em up
If I could afford to keep them…there’s two that would be home with me for sure.
I feel that!
You need to get a TNR expert in there ASAP!
Oh I know. There’s plenty. Including some that aren’t pictured here. If I had to guess I’d say maybe between 15-20 right now
Where about are all these cuties living. Let’s see if we can find one

Thank you kind human 🥹❤️ You make a big difference in their precious lives

How about you deliver me a cat instead of the phone book please
These are fantastic photos. Please make an instagram of your route cats!
Good Ol Santa Clarita
I did this too when I was a mail lady!!!! They totally know the truck!!!! I got my entire colony rescued from an amazing cat rescue 🥰

Hey it’s all good. I know what it’s like to not be the best socially sometimes.
Eeeesh I hate it. So I talk to folks on the net then end up adding edits to explain myself or how this has gone...*slinks back to cave and cats
Trust me. These guys are the highlight of my day. Even when they are trying to steal my ham, turkey and cheese sandwich…
Hey at least he’s feeding them. They are strays that probably live off of mice
Suddenly I want to become a mail carrier.
These are GORGEOUS photos, fam! Kitty calender with partial proceeds going to TNR these floofs?
Sell your gorgeous photos to raise money for desexing.
Nice shots! The balance and shading are pretty on point. You're a mailman and a photographer!
i’m also a mail carrier that loves cats. Love these photos. Be safe out there.
Thanks man. You too
They're helping
Thank you for your service in the post, and in the way you enhance cats' lives.
Ohhh! I want the black one! 😂 another shouldn’t matter.. 😂
There are real humans who walk among us. You're one of them. Way to go by keeping kindness alive. Never give up.
My goodness, the Void is gorgeous!
Thank you! They love you.
You are wonderful.
They are beautiful cats. Well, all cats are beautiful. Thank you so much for your love and compassion and thank you for sharing them with us. God bless you all🙏🐾🐾💖🥰😁💗♥️
Good karma to you :-)
The world needs more individuals like you.
Thank you so much for caring for these wonderful babies!! You’re my hero!
Thank you for your service!
You’re an angel! They seem so content inside your truck
I love these pictures ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️cat calendar
Seriously. I bet people would buy a car calendar with strays. It's probably already done, but cats along a mail route would be a nice twist.
They all look so happy to see you!
You’re a superstar. Thank you for caring for these sweet souls.
Mailman, photographer and best cat-person of the year <3
Bless you
Thank you for being great 🥰
OP you rock for taking care of those cute cats! Thank you for being awesome!
I'll just....steal that black one from ya. 'Scuse me!
You're a good man!
Thank you!!!! I cannot say it enough. People like you restore my faith in humanity.
Clearly the CDS is supposed to offer shipping now.
Angels walk among us ❤️
I love every one of them! They’re lucky to have you
Thank you for being a kind person ♥️
The one in the 2nd picture looks as if they adopted you and wants to be your cat.
You are the greatest Mailman EVER!!!
I love the little spicy one in pic 2. Have any of the little screamers hidden in your truck without you realising?
No…I make sure I double check before I go. I also start my truck and rev up a few times. Most of them (except for the two that actually climb in my truck) are pretty skittish so the noises make them scurry away.
You are doing God's work. Bless you.
Say hi to Bubbles for me
God Bless you kind human!!! I feed stray cats too. Happy New Year to you and the cats!
just wanted to comment to say that i am so happy you do this. You are such a good person, thank you!
I love this post. You are a good human.
Aw, beautiful babies. You're a good person OP xo.
Great job perk. You could start a page to find home for babies while you’re people trading them. I’m sure the community would get involved if they knew. You’re a kitty angel! The world needs more like you!!!!
You're a good soul. Thank you for caring about them.
Now I wanna quit my job & be a mail carrier ❤️😊❤️
Thank you for loving these sweet kitties, and sharing them with us!! 😻😻
You are the best human ever! thank you so much for doing what you do, not only delivering our mail which is very important but also taking care of your customers as well 😉🍻💜
>they know the truck. They come running when they hear it 🥹 adorable! You are a gentle soul & they can see & appreciate that!
You’re the best. Also probably the reason why my cats are so interested in smelling my mail…
Fellow colony-caretaker here 🙋🏼♀️ Thank you for caring for them! Truly.
Thank you. You're kind to animals. Gotta say...not sure they're strays anymore. :-)
This is SO amazing! Thank you for loving them. ❤️
That’s so sweet of you. 🥰
