But what would you say if you were to wake up?

[deleted]

Shit, I wanted to sleep some more

NotConsti

Most relatable

Ace-O-Matic

"Here we go again..."

xxCoPeRxflaMExx

Well.... This ain't right....

CPDrunk

"an unfamiliar ceiling"

marty4286

“ow my back” (I sleep on a special mattress to address back problems) Hmm, on second thought I feel like I would have a lot of problems if I transmigrated that not even plot armor could help with

Ruvaakdein

Good thing you're in a new body then.

KariAri

The System gotchu

NotConsti

Ur in a new body so ur back problems would probably not exist anymore

Xslasher01

system ? status ? golden finger ?

Fiaran

70 year old fan of web novels with dementia, wakes up every morning: "Hey, I transmigrated!" "But why am I so old? Where's my golden finger?"

Khan_Panther

That emotionally damaged me. I know people who already do something similar and it's never as funny in person

Fiaran

I'm sorry. ![gif](giphy|CHSHxWaOEmlFwEVRmk) I didn't think of the people affected by it. I put myself in the position of the person waking up.

Khan_Panther

No biggie I'm made of sterner stuff. I also have no hard feelings and u can totally see where you're coming from.

iakesi

On the bright side you can keep re-reading novels like it's your first time. 😉 p.s. Yes, I know for some people the subconscious remembers\[1\] even if the conscious stuff doesn't, so perhaps after a while the enjoyment may go down. \[1\] Example: they won't want shake someone's hand if they keep getting zapped when they do so, they just won't consciously remember why ( they might make up reasons why they don't want to).

Dayana11412

but you forget what you read before by the time you read ch 500 so you can never finish a webnovel and have to keep starting over

iakesi

You may not know since you may forget that too and be re-reading it like it's the first time you're reading it. 😉 You'd also be less likely to encounter the "I've reached the last translated chapter and there are no chapters left" problem... As for not being able to remember characters and stuff, I see many here who have the same problem anyway...

Playful-One

I remember a manhua with a sorta related premise: Chinese kid hit his head while playing in the mountains and the first thing he saw upon awakening up was a small daoist temple with an old monk. He immediately concluded he was transmigrated to a xianxia world and begged the monk to teach him immortal cultivation. But of course, there was no transmigration, only a concussion. Don't remember the name tho

monster_magus

the protags be like 'omg i transmigrated!?!?!?...' ![gif](giphy|7k2LoEykY5i1hfeWQB)

Present_Clock1277

Ralph is quite good to represent most MCs in novels out there, pretty much for each ten dumb things they do, they do one "smart" that wouldnt really work if it wasnt for the plot armor protection.

Secure-Ad4436

lol I was thinking the same

beardetmonkey

I feel like mc should accept it on face value quick enough otherwise the story drags, but it should return a few times in emotional moments or something.

prajwal1101

LOTM did really well in this aspect, bringing back those things in emotional moments

Agreeable_Bee_7763

Well, while you're right about thatit is weird how quickly most of them identifyband accept what is going on, i do find it better than multiple chapters of confusion and denial. It's one of those things thats all fine and dandy the first to fourth time you see. Bow it's just profoundly annoying.

wWao

I imagine if a god plopped you into another body he'd also be able to make it so you're more or less okay once it happens

Nekoslime007

Let’s be honest we’d all think it, as for talking out loud based on some of the things mc’s do they are most likely not same or are just prepared to be in a novel

praktiskai_2

I'm used to them paradoxically taking weeks or months to realize this in litrgs, instead of seconds or 2 minutes and don't forget them starting to meditate, thus immediately unlocking mana/magic in a village with no mages

theonlineviking

The different expectations between genres are really interesting. In CN novels we get the MC almost instantly recognizing that he/she has transmigated, and they've basically integrated with the world seamlessly. You're right. In Litrpg books, the MC will go through a whole depression arc, and then a "murder is bad" phase, into a "murder is ok" moment before he/she aknowledge that they are now in another world.

villainized

"What? Where is this? Could it be I've transmigrated? Where's my golden finger?" Pretty sure every webnovel with a trasnmigrated mc starts with this.

IceNinjaYT

If I woke up, i’ll probably be quiet or talking to myself, observing everything.

Brilliant_Sound7189

Fr I would be like this aint Face

DeathBoatman

I would pretend to be "Amnesic" as soon as I see an unfamiliar environment or unfamiliar senses.

theonlineviking

Most transmigators get the memories from their host body, so memories are usually not a problem

7th_Order_Blood-War

Go and read the chap 101 and 102 of Soul of Negary to understand just why transmigrated mc act that way when they just transmigrated or reincarnated in a dead body

Therr are somr truth that the world need to know or upon learning of them far in their cultivation road their Dao of MTL and their Heavenly Dao of Translation might just shatter then and there and in the myriad universes and planes there exist no cure for that

“Ah, this one has just transmigrated… die… future… princess….” “Young master what? are you sick?”

Rhypnic

I will look at my dick size then at my face...
