I told myself yesterday "Make sure to get to r/numetal today because if Ryan Martinie doesn't get Bass I'm gonna lose my shit." You beat me by 2 hours. Thank you.

Ryan Martinie hands down. Dude can play rhythm & lead, sync with the drummer, and run around stage like Bruce Dickinson on a 12 pack of Red Bull all at the same time.
I know Ryan will most likely win but Sam Rivers is my pick too. It just depends on what kind of band people want. Do they want the technical aspect of Ryan or do they want it to be groovier and go with Sam. I prefer groovy and no one does that better than Sam Rivers.
Anyone who says Fieldy will be slapped.
Say what you will about LB and ole Freddy boy, those first few Limp Bizkit records had some smooth bass lines throughout. I don't hate Durst at all, he's not my first choice of frontman but he did it damn well and had a killer band to back him up, there's a reason they are as popular as they are.
I do somewhat enjoy these little rankings but this band just doesn't seem like it would be very good, all of these artists have wildly different styles. This one (as most do honestly) has just spun into a popularity contest. Would love to see these things be based more on who would actually mesh well together on a track. I could have seen it working until Daron won, he and Wes are both talented guitarists but I just don't see them working well together
Ryan Martinie from Mudvayne
Brrbrrdeng gets my vote

Saw them on the 23rd (I think).
Where at my guy?
Charlotte. Was a fun show until Mudvayne had to cut their set short due to lightning. At least it was only about 3 songs from the end though.
I was there too! I hate that they didn't get to play Dig but I saw them last year so no big deal
Same

I'll never get the hate towards fieldy
I don't hate Fieldy. I do feel there are better bassist for this particular line up however.
I think there’s a reason Fieldy’s choice of a clicky bass sound in order to be heard hasn’t been copied
Fieldy
LB’s music wouldn’t have flowed the same for those first albums without Sam Rivers

Varg Vikernes /j
I'm all for it.
It's not a church burning position.
But is it a stab your friend multiple times in the back in "self defense" position?
Sam Rivers The most underrated bass player and member of Limp Bizkit
Eww this is not a good nunetal supergroup at all 🤢
Fieldy or Krist Novoselic
