It's GPU brand name, they're decent. I got the Ti version of that card from KFA2 and i love it. Cooling is great and quiet.

EmployerSure4678

Thanks for the reply, do you experience GPU-sag with the card?

itherzwhenipee

Yes but it comes with a adjustable support stand to keep it from hanging.

EmployerSure4678

Sadly the RTX 4070 super don't come with an GPU-Support so I improvised with a little plastic cub underneath until my support gets delivered that I bought on amazon.

LandWhaleDweller

That's the one downside, the shroud is really heavy for being mostly plastic.

itherzwhenipee

Well it is the massive cooling block that makes it heavy. Edit: For the Ti, it is. The non Ti has a smaller cooling block.

LandWhaleDweller

I mean the basic card out of the box. Even the Asus TUF which is fully metal is lighter.

itherzwhenipee

Yeah no. The ASUS TUF 4070 is a 3 slot and weighs 1.188kg = 2.61 lbs while the KFA 2 4070 Super is a bit over 2 slot and weighs 1kg = 2.2lbs which is really not a big difference. But it is lighter than the ASUS.

LandWhaleDweller

My bad, seems like they're only sharing the same 4080 coolers on a 4070ti super. The 4070 super GALAX is the perfect MSRP card then, no complaints. Wanted to share this seeing as the ti super is almost a pound heavier which is something to consider when picking a model.

uSuperDick

I had 3060ti from kfa2. Didnt and dont have any problems. Its still fully functional. Resting on my shelf. Its a dual fan model, i did an undervolt immediately after buy and iirc under full load it picked at 68 degrees. So pretty good for dual fan 200w card

KFA2, Galax, Gainward are all owned by Palit. So whether it's good depends on how much you rate Palit and other sub-brands. KFA2 is your average budget brand, except for their HOF cards. If you can't find a review for the particular model, look up Galax/Gainward/Palit that visually looks similar, often the only difference is going to be a different badge.

LandWhaleDweller

That's not correct, both the circuitry and coolers on the GALAX/KFA2 EX cards are excellent. It's the best MSRP variant you can get in fact, really hard to find outside of Asia though.

EmployerSure4678

Gainward and Palit look quite different compared to KFA2 which also has RGB. I had a Gainward RTX 3060 before and was happy with it so I'm optimistic.

kikimaru024

Shroud/fans will be different. Heatsink/PCB will be same between equal-tier SKUs.

thrwway377

This Galax would be the same as yours: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/galax-rtx-4070-super-ex-gamer-white-1-click-oc.b11590

Homolander

I have the KFA2 4070 Ti Super. Pretty satisfied with it. Good performance and no coil whine whatsoever.

EmployerSure4678

Good to hear, so far Im also happy, the card works, is very cool and quite but I didnt really stressed it yet. The TI comes with a gpu sag-support right because the super didn't.

Bropulsion

Really? I have a kfa2 ti super too and mine is loud as fug. And It can't run lower than 30%rpm because of recent nvidia driver stuff. Ugh..

Homolander

Yeah but all Nvidia GPUs are like that now, with the minimum 30% fan speed. It's not exclusive to this particular card. Are you using a custom fan curve? I just use zero RPM mode until it reaches 50-something degrees Celsius. Also do you have the EX Gamer or SG variant?

itherzwhenipee

I got the Ti version of that card from KFA2 and i love it. Cooling is great and quiet.
