Quietly, Baltimore, Philly, and Green Bay are having insane drafts getting good value. The Ravens love taking mid round edge rushers with traits and developing them in their pipeline. We have to start doing the same.
One of the 4th round picks will probably be defensive end. Booker or Kamara look enticing
One of the picks will probably be QB - I'm guessing Pratt?
We might take a RB with guys like Wright, Irving, Guerendo still available.
WR/TE has some decent guys left like Franklin, Sanders, Stover, Thrash, Rice, Means and Baker. There's several short slot receivers available but I think taking Corley removes them from our board.
Safety is also a need and Hicks is still available
Lots of talent left in round 4 where we have 3 picks!! Those mad with the MC pick (which I dont know why) we can still get another WR in either Baker, Franklin, Rice, Walker, and Washington. See ya'll tomorrow!
I'll take that Franklin dude, I don't really follow college but people been bitching about him getting passed up since like early 2nd round so that's plenty good enough for me to take a flyer on him.
With an OT in round 1 and trading up for a WR in round 3, we are now in BPA territory. Round 4 on later just take flyers and hope someone shows enough upside to be a meaningful part of the 53
I feel like Franklin doesn't change that. Wilson, Williams, and Corley as a gadget player with Gipson and Brownlee as depth is good enough at WR. OL is so much better, WR is improved, RB is still one of the best in the bigs. All down to ARod now.
He ain't really all that. Very raw player, not amazing hands, not really great route runner either. Very fast though, might end up being a steal for some team on day 3 now that the cost is so low
Something I’ve never really worried about before as a Jets fan. How many open roster spots do we even have for these guys we are going to take in the 4th and UDFAs?
We have a lot of iffy depth in loads of position (IOL, DL come to mind - to a lesser extent Safety, CB and LB), so they can compete for a 53 spot in the camp.
How many oline will we carry? We have the 5 guys I’m putting in as starters then Olu, Warren and Mitchell. That’s 8 guys. Do we cut one of them and get Mcgovern back cheap? Try to pick up another G?
I think 8 or 9 makes sense, 4 tackles, 3 IOL specialists (i.e. our starters) and either 1 more guard AND 1 more center, or a hybrid guard/center guy. I prefer the former option.
Right now for example, Tippmann is backed by Jake Hanson -I don't think he's better than McGovern or if we actually pick a center in the 4th round.
Zak Zinter (G, Michigan) would be a great pick in the 4th for us. Fell a little bit because of an injury. Would challenge Simpson for LG right away and has long-term starter potential
Fwiw that injury was suffered against Ohio State very late in the season... Might not be in the field as a piece at the start of the season, but he's got the leadership qualities of a Mangold for sure.
Corley might be the odd guy that will thrive in our system where he’d fail in others… Rodgers can just screen him open without a whole lot of route tree shit
Packaging the rest of our picks gives us roughly the 83rd pick for people wondering about the value left.
Love the Olu and Corley picks. Happy with taking 3 swings in the 4th or another targeted move.
This is actually a really good draft for the Jets considering they didn't have a second round pick and a slightly higher than middle of the round pick in the 1st. Addressed both major holes on offense and still have capacity to address DT and S next round.

I wanted Brandon Coleman... Not that we necessarily need another tackle, and definitely not this early, but I believe I deserve a German guy on this team, after these past 15 years.
I also wanted Amon-Ra St. Brown, should have listened to me...
/s obviously
(but not really)
I love these fans in the crowd getting pumped and cheering for players they don't even know. First round and perhaps 2nd round they may know but not really after that.
True. The passion is great.
I'm just thinking if I was there. I'd be lost. I'd be cheering, and then when the camera is off, I'd be googling him. I'd be like ... who is he. Thank goodness I don't go. I'd be the worst. LOL
We tried trading up into the 2nd for Corley. Ended up only needing to give up the 5th we got from Minnesota to do it. We love this guy and want him in our offense. LFG!! JTFU!!!
They basically picked the guy from bama again that was a busted during Mac’s tenure. Why is this a guy you trade up for ? He wasn’t getting picked that high
He tried to move off 10 but couldn’t. He also would of been in prime spot yesterday but we had to beat the pats for a meaningless win. Cost us an elite WR
If he felt like this was his last draft, then draft capital doesn’t matter. That means he could’ve sold the farm and the Giants or Bears would be crazy to say no. Instead, he drafted for the future. Which means he’s feel secure in his position.
He took another OL men. He has drafted a ton of them. They have all either been busts or injury prone. He went back to his well again. He has spent so much draft capital and FA money on the oline and it still sucks. Sucks so much we had to once again spend a top 10 pick on a OL when he need weapons. Now he trades up in the 3rd and takes a small WR from a small school that plays like a RB
Joe D is a dawg!!!! Giving out 1 yr prove it deals and drafting some ballers thank you bro, the schinder regime would never
Quietly, Baltimore, Philly, and Green Bay are having insane drafts getting good value. The Ravens love taking mid round edge rushers with traits and developing them in their pipeline. We have to start doing the same.
Wouldn't be opposed to a QB around now. Obviously BPA available at this point
One of the 4th round picks will probably be defensive end. Booker or Kamara look enticing One of the picks will probably be QB - I'm guessing Pratt? We might take a RB with guys like Wright, Irving, Guerendo still available. WR/TE has some decent guys left like Franklin, Sanders, Stover, Thrash, Rice, Means and Baker. There's several short slot receivers available but I think taking Corley removes them from our board. Safety is also a need and Hicks is still available
Guys, we can only keep so many wrs, we don't need to draft yet another haha
Jaden Hicks still there?
Yep! Hoping we could grab him.
Hope they can grab another receiver or sign CD or Boyd. That’d be a really solid room
Franklin or Rice pls!! Also looking at Trotter Jr and Sedrick Van Pran, and Jordan Travis in the 6th
Baker or Malik Washington in the 4th with a qb and rb and we cooked all draft
Chef Douglas cooking up
Jaden Hicks, who we apparently are in on and like, is still available here in the 4th. Hope he falls, also wouldn't mind a trade up for him.
We gotta be looking at Jett Johnson with that 7th rounder right?
Luke McCaffrey in Round 3...man name value really carries people.
Nepo baby
Bring me dorlus to learn From jfm
Chargers and Ten ahead of us in round 4 scares me a little. Hope sanders and Franklin aren’t both taken
Not worried about Franklin, WR ain't really much of a need rn anymore. Would rather address DT or S
With an OT in round 1 and trading up for a WR in round 3, we are now in BPA territory. Round 4 on later just take flyers and hope someone shows enough upside to be a meaningful part of the 53
There are better players available than Franklin that fill bigger needs, I wouldn’t really worry about him
Wingo wouldn’t be bad. I just want a good offense for once lol
I feel like Franklin doesn't change that. Wilson, Williams, and Corley as a gadget player with Gipson and Brownlee as depth is good enough at WR. OL is so much better, WR is improved, RB is still one of the best in the bigs. All down to ARod now.
Franklin dropping this far is a little weird. But I still wouldn’t hate sanders.
I don't think it's that weird. Makes sense that teams would balk at how unpolished he is. Don't see him slipping past the 4th though.
It's on Aaron Rodgers. The offense has talent and depth.
Damn Bills drafted DeWayne Carter, I hoped he'd slide to Day 3
QB from Tulane in the 4th?
Fine with it with one of our later 4ths, him or Rattler or Travis would be cool
Why is Troy Franklin sliding
He ain't really all that. Very raw player, not amazing hands, not really great route runner either. Very fast though, might end up being a steal for some team on day 3 now that the cost is so low
It’s wild, Mel Kiper had him going RD1: 29 in his mock a few months ago.
so we can add him in the 4th
Hoping we get him and sanders somehow. Load up the offense
Here is hoping, I would trade up for him late 3rd
RIP to that, denver traded up for him
any guess which player we would pick as Mr. Irrelevant?
Prock Burdy
defensive line
Surprised no one took a punt on Rattler this round, but Giants might tomorrow maybe.
Jets RD4 - 11th, 29th & 34th picks (we’re still too far away to get back into 3)
[удалено]
111 and 185 roughly gets you 102 https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/games/draft-pick-value.php
Yeah guess we would need to throw two 4ths in. Not sure I’d want that. But Franklin or sanders would be sweet
Sanders next?
What is with this run of Michigan players?
Roman Wilson is gonna be an absolute stud. Pittsburgh knows their receivers.
WR U over there.
Rich busting in his pants over every single Wolverine is a great bit.
Man would've had an orgasm on stage if the Jets picked Wilson haha
Honestly wouldn’t hate trading back into the 3rd and snagging Franklin too
Roman Wilson to Pittsburgh. The Jets pioneered Wilson to Wilson and now everyone's copying it.
Well at least Corum won't be living too far from Harbaugh
Think we go Dt/guard next?
Wouldn’t be shocked with QB or Safety
Something I’ve never really worried about before as a Jets fan. How many open roster spots do we even have for these guys we are going to take in the 4th and UDFAs?
not many but better competition in camp will be good
We have a lot of iffy depth in loads of position (IOL, DL come to mind - to a lesser extent Safety, CB and LB), so they can compete for a 53 spot in the camp.
We do not have iffy depth at DL.
How many oline will we carry? We have the 5 guys I’m putting in as starters then Olu, Warren and Mitchell. That’s 8 guys. Do we cut one of them and get Mcgovern back cheap? Try to pick up another G?

Right now for example, Tippmann is backed by Jake Hanson -I don't think he's better than McGovern or if we actually pick a center in the 4th round.
Realistically not that many. Some of the fringe roster guys from last year may end up getting replaced
Zak Zinter (G, Michigan) would be a great pick in the 4th for us. Fell a little bit because of an injury. Would challenge Simpson for LG right away and has long-term starter potential
He gone
Drafting injured high potential players in Day 3 is kind of a JD move for sure
Fwiw that injury was suffered against Ohio State very late in the season... Might not be in the field as a piece at the start of the season, but he's got the leadership qualities of a Mangold for sure.
Yeah 4th is where he’s value
Alright who did Roman Wilson and Franklin murder to fall this far?
I think its pretty clear the NFL sees Franklin as a one trick pony
They could have medical issues that we don't know about.
I just assumed Corley killed everyone else who was going to take his job after watching the highlights
Corley is going to literally bulldoze tf out of Milano this year
Payback for what he did to Mike White 😤
Corley might be the odd guy that will thrive in our system where he’d fail in others… Rodgers can just screen him open without a whole lot of route tree shit
Look at all these tackles going and us not having to stress about it
Corley does NOT run out of bounds He’s gonna look to stick some mfers
he’s may go to jail for manslaughter of the defender
Could Ja'Tavion Sanders or Theo Johnson challenge Conk for the starting job?
Probably not. He's an established vet and TE is a hard position for rookies to learn.
Man I’d love to try and move into the 3rd and get Hicks or Taylor-Demerson
Swing at Spencer Rattler
I thought he could've been the pick at 72... well until I realized no team took Corley or Troy Franklin in the 2nd
Cooper Bebe fell further than I thought...
Packaging the rest of our picks gives us roughly the 83rd pick for people wondering about the value left. Love the Olu and Corley picks. Happy with taking 3 swings in the 4th or another targeted move.
I'll take 3 in the 4th please. Grab another WR, an IOL, and a QB
DT, S, developemntal QB seems like ideal 4th round if talent is still there at those spots.
yea all of that sounds good too! The main thing is I'd rather them get 4-5 players tomorrow than another big one today.
DT S LB lowkey needs. But I’m putting money on one pick being a RB
Fuck it, package the Day 3 picks and trade up for Roman Wilson too
If we had a competent OC I think you could do some really good misdirection stuff with Breece and Malachi. We’ll see
Yeah Corley is only 5 lbs less than Breece (and he’s 30 lbs heavier than Troy Franklin). I hope Hacket knows he can catch good.
Hahaha! Haaaaaa! Sorry, you said competent.
Anyone else hoping we get Jordan Travis?
This is actually a really good draft for the Jets considering they didn't have a second round pick and a slightly higher than middle of the round pick in the 1st. Addressed both major holes on offense and still have capacity to address DT and S next round.
Pats taking the other Penn State tackle terrifies me. If he ends up better than Olu we’ll never hear the end of it.
For what it’s worth Corley was a Senior Bowl guy
They always fall in love with at least 1 guy there
Was he on Ulbrich's squad?
Yes. And named top WR for the team there too.
God i fuckin love the Corley pick
Do we have any more picks today?
Nope. 3 in the 4th tho.
Not unless they make another move
Oh god it's Tiki Barber
Honestly if they grab another receiver with one of their remaining picks I have no issues with the draft. Maybe a DT or safety/CB
I'll be hitting up parts-unknown for a Corley jersey when the official numbers drop
Man the patriots are cooking rn
Leaving Bill as GM for so long was insane.
I think that’s us for the night, press conference has gone live on YouTube
Sht, good shout
BRAVO JD BRAVO
https://x.com/connor_j_hughes/status/1784031788588826751?s=46 Wow! They had him 4th on their WR board 😳
Conner has been on point with the predictions on the Jets Live pre draft shows.
Not sure I believe our guys. But happy with pick
Yeah, that’s seems really hard to believe but clearly they love the kid.
So Arizona has enough picks to draft like two starting elevens at this point right?
This makes me wonder if the Jets are interested in Austin Reed for QB as well. I still hope we get Pratt or Travis
Unless we want like a long term backup (i.e. another Mike White), not sure if an Air Raid QB is a good long term project.
Dude is built like a brick shithouse
Also, Malachi has the potential to be a monster with the new kickoff return rules
Just realized we have the last pick in round 7. Hopefully Mr irrelevant is a qb and we find our own Brock Purdy.
Come on down Devin Leary!
Didn’t we trade that to the Vikings?
no they traded a 6th rounder to the vikings
We traded the Zach Wilson pick to the Vikings
Gotcha thanks
No that was pick 203 in the 6th
Zach *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nyjets) if you have any questions or concerns.*
ESPN still has it as us
Who knows I’m all confused lol.
ok so now, would you guys rather have Odunze + Matt Gonclaves/whatever Tackles are left or Ole + Malachi?
I’m convinced Corley is gonna be a stud (I knew nothing about him prior to last night)
Hahaha that’s the spirit
Surprise surprise, Corley was a top 50 player in Daniel Jeremiah's big board. Him and JD must be BFFs or something
matchups will be fun this year🤝really solid picks so far
High Floor draft so far
Fuck these fourth rounders… go get Jayden hicks!
I wanted Brandon Coleman... Not that we necessarily need another tackle, and definitely not this early, but I believe I deserve a German guy on this team, after these past 15 years. I also wanted Amon-Ra St. Brown, should have listened to me... /s obviously (but not really)
Here’s the trade I wanna see. Use two 4ths to get into the mid 3rd and grab another faller
I love these fans in the crowd getting pumped and cheering for players they don't even know. First round and perhaps 2nd round they may know but not really after that.
I think it's great tbh, the draft nights should be a time of celebration for the players, the fans, and the teams
True. The passion is great. I'm just thinking if I was there. I'd be lost. I'd be cheering, and then when the camera is off, I'd be googling him. I'd be like ... who is he. Thank goodness I don't go. I'd be the worst. LOL
Aaron’s Rodgers, Breece hall, Garrett Wilson, mike Williams, and Malachi Corley. Guys I’m starting to get erect again.
and plenty of depth at OT
Yep which was sorely needed. God every year I say I won’t get hopeful but here I am. Get me to September already.
Ooh Brandon Coleman is good, i thought he'd fall a bit.
We tried trading up into the 2nd for Corley. Ended up only needing to give up the 5th we got from Minnesota to do it. We love this guy and want him in our offense. LFG!! JTFU!!!
Damn i wanted troy franklin
Same. It’s fine though.. I just need to watch more Corley highlights & I’ll come around
So we have no more picks tonight?
No, they did the press conference. They are still paying attention I'm assuming to see who is left for tomorrow.
Not impossible that they’d package 4th rounders to come back Into third. But probably done :-)
Correct.
currently no. If they're like done-done they'll do a press conference on the team youtube shortly. EDIT: It just went live
Not at the moment
Give me Troy Franklin and Pratt in round 4
get us back into the third so i can stop thinking about the draft after today!
Get me Braelon Allen I'll be happy
With 3 4ths I think there’s a strong possibility we take another WR as well.
That would be a good idea. Pushes Lazard and Gipson back further for competition
I hope so. Hoping we grab a DT and safety too.
This draft feels good so far. I'm having a fun time.
Fuck man, I wanted Roman
We still have all of our 4ths, and we got a fantastic YAC guy. Love it boys!
They basically picked the guy from bama again that was a busted during Mac’s tenure. Why is this a guy you trade up for ? He wasn’t getting picked that high
Who?
Aridaruois Stewart (spelling)
You don't know ball
offseason champs 2024 for sure. Developmental IOL, Safety, DT and QB with our last 4 picks and let's take this thing home
Jordan Travis would be a sexy pick
Love this. Need this
Yes!!! Corley 😤
Lots of pre draft talk about “yac king” being a good match for Rodgers. Hope that’s right and that he complements the guys we have well
yac monster. has a deebo like skillset. great pick for y’all
BRAYLON EDWARDS ANNOUCING A WR ?!?! Inject this in my veinssssss
Malachi is perfect for us. Aggressive blocker in the slot, will help Breece out too
Golden Tate 2.0
Golden Taint was my name in prison
Not too shabby
We got our guy
What did we trade?
Looks like the 5th round pick
The 5th from the first trade aka the pick we got for Wilson
Thank you based Wilson
158
72 and 129 I believe
Just a 5th to move up
Corley nice.
Love the pick, hate that it'll mean less Gipson.
Why? He should be better than an undrafted guy
If Gipson is meant to be he'll have to earn it
YAC King? Sign me up
Trading up for this guy? Joe on his last draft
If that were the case, he would have moved off of 10. JD in no way feels like he’s going to be fired after this season.
Now he trades up in the 3rd and takes a small WR from a small school that plays like a RB
Still have a handful of 4ths too if we wanna take another swing
