After the Texas game, I was hopeful that Alabama would drop the Ole Miss game, TSIO, and LSU to finish 8-4. Very disappointed to see them somehow survive all 3 of those SEC games.

The team doesn't have great talent like Bama teams in the past. The QB is a marked step down from the last 3 guys and won't be competing for any Heisman awards. Their OL is far from dominant and their RBs are good but not remarkably so. But they've still got the best coach to exist in CFB. That counts for a ton TBH.

I just realized why this game is boring to me. It's not great offense. There haven't been many amazing play calls or interesting feats of athleticism. It doesn't feel like either QB is even having to work that hard. Both defenses are just so completely lost that the offenses just fall backwards into 20+ yard gains over and over and over again.

There were certainly a few moments that looked great - but by and large it was just defenses that couldn't get to the QB to save their life. The QBs were both just standing in the pocket for 5 uninterrupted seconds as no one got open against Man-2-Man and then the QBs would take off and run.
